Holy Cow! (This is a combined review from two visits: one last year, one a few minutes ago). This place is awesome. The chef is a wonderful senior woman that can dazzle! We ordered the French Toast Sandwich and the Breakfast Burrito. Both were fantastic. Fresh ingredients! The salad was dancing on the plate and in my mouth. Excellent sauces! Looks like mom chef puts all her Korean love with American experience into the food. The portions are huge, particularly when compared to NYC. Parking was a little tight. The atmosphere is eclectic. Korean mom cooking; Young, tall smiling man serving as host. Ona side note…happy server. Big sign of a well run restaurant is happy employees, who rave about management. Don’t be afraid of the cool young party goers who reveled through the night and are scarfing down food. Panko French toast…are you kidding me!?!?!

The food was great at this hole in the wall place. The gentleman said sit anywhere and quickly took our order. The food came out quick and tasted like it was made by grandma. It was a great place for breakfast.

We had our first Korea town neighbourhood breakfast at this place. We have a dog family so we called in for checking. They were super nice and friendly. So we decided to go in. The menu was quite good. Mexican and Asian mixed menu. The staff was super friendly and sweet. They played 80s music. Quite cool. The coffee was very good. Much better than diner coffee (if you care about your morning joe). The food had a good portion and was very delicious. If you are on a diet, I don't recommend it otherwise you should try!

Great location with plenty of parking, good service, and the food was pretty good. I ordered an omelet with a side of tots and a black coffee which cost ~$23. However, the atmosphere was not the best, a TV was blasting a hockey game and water was leaking into a bucket. Overall, order to go and enjoy!

It was a pretty okay breakfast spot. Server lady was okay and we felt like the atmosphere was lacking a little bit due to the flies inside the dining area where we were seated. No music, just a giant TV playing news loudly. It’s a pretty okay place for breakfast, nothing special, but their special potato sides were good.

Good breakfast spot. The sausage was a little spicy for me but delicious nonetheless. Small and cozy. No restroom.

Great hole in the wall spot for breakfast. Pulled up to meet a friend, and we ended up splitting the following: -spinach mushroom omelette with toast and crispy home fries -breakfast quesadilla with bacon on side and tater tots -2 cups hot coffee At $4 a cup, the coffee was just OK, but the entrees were generous and delicious. Would definitely come back, my only suggestion would be to add a latte to the menu (with real espresso).

The Potato Sack is tucked away in the corner of a small plaza with free parking! I ordered to go, but the restaurant looked clean and spacious when I stopped by. I ordered a breakfast burrito ($14) with a side of 2 pancakes ($5). I was greeted by a really kind worker inside who gave me my food! The entire trip home, all I could smell was butter from the pancakes. The burrito comes with a side (I chose tater tots), pico de gallo, and a spicy aioli sauce that was so yummy. The burrito itself had tots, cheese, eggs, and your choice of protein. It was a good size, and it wasn't super greasy :) I will definitely be a repeat customer here!

What a great breakfast place! I think we need more breakfast places like this. It is nothing fancy and very casual. There were a handful of tables and a large screen TV. I think they have something for everyone! Traditional American breakfasts along with south of the border favorites as well as Asian dishes. I went for a traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon and tater tots while my partner went for the dumplings and chicken fried rice.

We needed a hearty breakfast before Anime Expo. This little breakfast shop was 15 minutes walking from our hotel. It was tucked into the corner of a strip mall. Inside were wooden tables and plastic chairs. I ordered the eggs Benedict with bacon and a salad. My son ordered the eggs with bacon. Both were $14. My eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly. The creamy yolk with the sauce mixed with the saltiness of the bacon was delicious on the English muffin. The salad helped to give a different texture and flavor profile to the dish. My son's over easy eggs was perfectly cooked. The gentleman who greeted us was very nice. The food tasted like it was made by someone's mother.

Food was OK. Service was terrible. There was only two other people in the restaurant and we had to get up and ask them for everything. Also, the roach on the wall next to me didn't help matters. Definitely not coming back here.

Potato Sack is AMAZING! Upon entering, the service was welcoming and absolutely loved the menu set up. It is so helpful having images of the food! I personally ordered the breakfast burrito with a side of tater tots and it was delicious! The seating is indoors and I loved all the decorations. Definitely recommend to come check out, everyone is so sweet!

3.5 rounded up to 4! I think Potato Sack is a fair brunch spot in KTown! We stumbled upon it randomly one weekend since we wanted to try somewhere new, and I'm happy I got to check it out. We were able to be seated immediately, and the parking lot was fairly empty. We ordered the 2 Eggs, 2 Ham plate and added 2 pancakes. We also upgraded the side to Loaded Tater Tots. Everything was solid and tasty. The tater tots were not as crunch as I would have liked, but the food was well cooked and came out fairly quickly. However, the cost was a little pricier than the value of what we got. The service and ambiance were just okay. There were other things on the menu that caught my eye, so I'd be down to go back to try other dishes. You also get a free soda by checking in on Yelp! Overall, Potato Sack is worth checking out!

Fried rice was good with a little bit of spicy, tater tots was fresh out of oven, crispy, but quesadilla was ok. I would say the best out of the restaurant is the kiwi lemonade. Service was friendly, but the table smelled a bit like mop and asked them to wipe it again so they did. Ambiance is casual breakfast dining setting.

This is such a hidden gem for breakfast grub! I like to say potatoes are my favorite vegetable, and this is a place where the potatoes really shine. We came by for lunch and we got the Breakfast Burrito and the Potsack Sandwich. Both items were absolutely delicious. The sandwich was so well-balanced and had a homemade quality to it. The pickled onions were a great addition. The Breakfast Burrito was fantastic as well, but wish it did come with a few more add-ins like avocado. The tater tots were amazing and optimally crispy. Service is pretty quick and efficient here as well. Solid spot to satisfy your breakfast cravings.

Came for Sunday morning brunch and there was plenty of parking Inside is tiny, tables seat 4 people each I ordered the panko french toast with a side of hot links and they brought me the french toast w/fruit as well as hot links. I guess I wasn't clear that I wanted the hot links only. Panko toast was extra crispy and crunchy but I think I'd stick to regular french toast since it was also rather bland Their menu is on the smaller side, my friend asked for light onion in her burger and received no onion. Their kitchen seems equipped to expedite premade orders because several tables got their food before my friend received her complicated order Not sure if i would return, we were debating between this place and ihop for an American style brunch

The restaurant itself is small. Probably has 8 tables to sit at and very relaxed atmosphere. There was one guy sitting in the front as you enter. He was the waiter and hostess. Food was decent. I liked my omelette but everything was mediocre and definitely not worth the price. But it was super fresh food and nice hot. Not cold. I would come back for the omelette if I was desperate for breakfast.

Went here instead of waiting in a crazy line for a viral food item. It was very relaxed spot. Parking could be a problem, but I managed fine. Highly recommend the French sandwich!!! Love the crunchy, savor, and sweet breakfast sammy. Ice coffee was not my fav. :( but fr the French Sandwich makes up for it. Customer service was great.

Ordered a breakfast burrito and added sausages. They put tator tots inside the burrito which I didn't mind. But overall I think it needs more flavor. It was good but I've had better. Maybe if they added a yummy sauce on the side to dip or something, then it would've elevated this burrito.

Awesome breakfast options and more. Friends found this through delivery apps and we try to eat in as much as possible if we get there in time to wait for opening. The homemade health drinks are very tasty.

I ordered thru Uber eats and there is mold in my burrito. When I reported this they said the red & white onions turned the egg green, umm no. This is mold and I'm disgusted. The woman on the phone had the nerve to argue with me, like on some "who will you believe? me or your lying eyes?" type ishhh. I won't be ordering from here again, they really tried it.

I ordered breakfast from here. It was very good. The tater tots stay crunchy. The French toast was also very good and not too sweet. It was fluffy. I would order from here again.

This restaurant is hidden in the corner but once your find it, it's worth it! Had breakfast there yesterday afternoon, we had the three pancakes and the breakfast burrito with sausage and bacon and tater tots. We also got a side of home fries. Everything was cooked very well. The server was very attentive and nice. Will be coming back' to try more items on the menu

You know when you get the feeling you get when you think to yourself if I get food poisoning at least I know where it came from. This would be the place. This place is anything like the reviews. There is a literal hole in the ceiling, extremely dirty floors, butter that isn't refrigerated, and moldy food. A couple next to us complained that their bread was moldy and we had moldy lettuce but decided to not say anything. If you value your health and safety, I would get up and go anywhere else.

Recently we discovered this place down the road and we're happy to find a new breakfast/lunch/brunch spot to visit. It's a nice, intimate place for people to enjoy in small groups of four or less. The staff was extremely friendly and polite despite an obnoxious family sitting by. They definitely do their best to let you enjoy your time there and the food hit the spot. During our visit, we tried the Mushroom Spinach and Cheese Omelette and the Jalapeño Teriyaki Omelette. The potatoes, English muffins and our omelettes each came out fantastic. They really did hit the spot and is exactly the type of breakfast spot you want to visit. We definitely didn't leave hungry and already can't wait to come back. Parking can be limited, but it's similar to most K-town restaurants. There is plenty of street parking and a small private lot, but it's a very easy and walkable place to visit.

This place was just some random spot but oh boy was it a very good discovery. The Jalapeño bacon fried rice ! Holly s*** was that a plate that gots me freaking hooked. No lie. When one goes to K-town, you have a myriad of restaurants to go to. Mostly Korean, but also Mexican and dessert places galore, the last thing you think about is brunch food. Well, expand your horizons people. I'll save you the work. Come to The Potato Sack. This place is in a unassuming strip mall on the corner of 8th and Berendo (next to Mochinut). The space is ok size but the flavours are real. I came in wanting to try the Cilantro Hot Link Fried Rice and the gf got the Arugula Pickle Rice Bowl. First, the Cilantro Hot Link Fried Rice. Fresh ingredients, just a little spice in the hot link, and that runny egg goodness. And what a fantastically-sized portion. Next, the Arugula Pickle Rice Bowl. Again, fresh ingredients, runny egg. But add even more spice loaded on the egg. The pickled onion and arugula pairs nicely with the sauteed mushrooms. But the star of the meal is debatably the crispy home fries on the side. If crack had a baby, it would be nurtured with these morsels of deliciousness. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food. Will definitely come back and try the sweet options.

Was looking for a breakfast spot in Ktown to take my mother to. Potato Sack popped up! I saw the bibimbap and already clicked in my head this was the right spot. Came in and had been greeted by friendly worker. Settled with menus asked when we were ready to order in the front. Order mushroom omelette- came with a side and toast you can choose from a large variety of side and toast selections . We chose tater tots and wheat toast. This was okay . I really wanted to try the truffle omelet which I will next time. The toast and the tater tots are very worth it! They do have breakfast style eggs available! Potato Sak Bibimbap- Beef teriyaki , fries rice veggies arugula, and of course gochujang to top it off. The potatoes were my favorite in this dish. THE FRENCH TOAST!~~~~ Fluffed French Toast topped with just the right amount of powder sugar ^_____^. This was so good I had ordered one Togo! Bacon Benedict~~ This was a Togo order and my lover inhaled it! Overall very impressed will be back to try out the burritos, more tater tots and of course the French toast. Ahhh before I forget! Service too was pretty great! Everyone wearing masks! Everyone was attentive!

So far so good, I ordered the hot link fried rice but instead of the hot link, substitute for bacon. It was pretty good but a little salty; it's missing the citrus aspect of it to balance out the fattiness& saltiness of bacon and rice (it had some kind of seasoning that was salty); I asked for scrambled egg but just got very well done sunny side up. Will try other items in the menu.

Try their breakfast buritos here. I really loved it. I chose bacon for my meat option. I'm definetly coming back when I'm hungry early in the morning. I came around 8 AM and the staff was kind and my order was quick. I appreciate for fast and good quality food :) I saw some dining people as well. Parking was easy too

I ordered the breakfast burger and crispy home fries. The breakfast burger was delicious. The crispy home fries were good, but I expected them to come with bell peppers and onions. I ordered delivery through GrubHub, the food arrived warm, I didn't expect it to be hot because I work DTLA. It was still warm enough that I didn't have to microwave it. I would order from TPS again, but I don't think I would get the crispy home fries, when ordering home fries I want bell peppers and onions, but that's just me. Overall, TPS was a win for me. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu. I wish I had taken pictures, but I didn't want my food to get cold.

good change of pace in ktown if you want american-ish breakfast food with a sometimes korean twist. food is fresh at a fair price and customizable. i come here often for coffee and occasionally pick up a breakfast here. if i weren't trying to watch my carb intake or ate breakfast foods consistently, i'd probably eat here more often. tried their breakfast fried rices, eggs benedict, french toast, egg dishes, and breakfast burrito. all are solid, but i remember particularly enjoying the panko crusted french toast. what makes this place special though is the owner and staff. nicest people around. super accommodating. always have a nice chat with the owner. they're on all the delivery apps too. definitely a small business i enjoy supporting. give them a try.

This place is actually so cracked. I loved the cilantro hot link fried rice. Perfect amount of spice and savory flavor. My friend's breakfast burger was also amazing, I love the sauce they used. The eggs were perfectly cooked and runny. I'm just sad I found this popping restaurant only on the last day staying in LA. But if I come back I'll definitely revisit.

Staff is fully masked and hand sanitizers on every table. PROS: good food and good selection. No line. Hidden gem in the heart of Ktown. Well sized and well prized dishes. CONS: styrofoam cups, not very sustainable. Simple coffee selection, you're really here for the food.

REAL TALK: Yes, I did come to The Potato Sack because of their super cute name and, to add icing to the cake, because of their large kawaii potato cut-out that is set outside of their eatery! The Potato Sack offers various breakfast items (such as omelets, burritos, sammies, and burgers), rice bowls, various sides, and beverages. The hubs and I came here for a late lunch, and we tried their Jalapeno Bacon Fried Rice (a rice bowl with bacon, jalapenos, onions, pickled jalapenos, and a soft fried egg) and a Potsack Bibimbop (with teriyaki beef, sautéed zucchini, carrots, pickled cucumbers, shredded lettuce, spring mix, stringed hash browns, and a sunny side up egg). Both of these items were made-to-order, contained super fresh ingredients, and were so flavorful! Loved them! I'd love to try out their breakfast items, such as their breakfast sammies or their pancakes on the next visit. The staff are super friendly and kind, and there's limited seating inside. I honestly loved this place. A little neighborhood gem that I found on Yelp. Nothing fancy but the food was good and the staff was nice. I got the breakfast burrito and wedges and was pleased with both the taste and portion size. It took about 10 minutes for the food to come out after ordering. They have a small shared parking lot and there's street parking around.

So I've been ordering from here for months but this was the first time I actually stepped into the restaurant. It is in a small shopping center and hidden right in the corner...I think I drove by it like 3 times before I saw is Google maps was messed up and kept on giving me wrong directions... Blah When I walked in, I was greeted right away... Which for me is always a great sign! This is a place where you place the order at the counter and they bring the food to you. It was very clean and very inviting. They seem to do alot of to go orders. As I was dining, I only saw 4 tables but I say about 6 people came by to pick up to go orders. The food was good and fresh. I got the arugula bowl... Well cuz I love arugula... Think of it as Korean bibimbap but with different toppings and instead of the gochujang sauce, they use hot oil. At first, I was like they didn't give me enough hot oil to season the full bowl but after I mixed everything, it was a perfect amount. BUT if you like things spicy, ask for extra chili oil...I just added in more of the Chipotle Tabasco that was on the table and I loved the smoke flavor that this added! The home fries were perfectly cooked... Crispy on the outside and creamy inside. Which ever way you look at it... It was delicious! The arugula with the perfectly yolky egg and pickled radish was perfect! It had the crunch, the fatty goodness from the yolk and the perfect amount of heat. I also got their coffee... Which was delicious btw. It didn't taste like it had been sitting there for long and it was good. Yes I know coffee with Korean food is a little weird... But I needed my caffeine pick up... Yes not only am I chili head but I'm also a caffeine addict. Lol Will I be back? Maybe... BUT I will definitely be ordering delivery again. :) Sometimes I get lazy...^_~

Took my momma out for an early breakfast Loved the korean lady that served us She was chill af! Food was great coffee was bomb!

Placed order for an omelette and a coffee. Asked for some water with the coffee. Coffee came out almost 15 mins later, had to ask for the water again and received no utensils to stir and fix my coffee. The Denver Omelette comes out 20 mins after ordering and the food is cold. The veggies in the omelette were still cold and raw with the bitterness of uncooked bell pepper. The tots that came with the plate numbered 9, definitely not the best showing for a $16 plate. I wish I would of took a picture of the plate before promptly returning it for a full refund. It was sadly my first and last time trying this place. For the price and poor service there's plenty of better places to visit for a Sunday breakfast set up in LA.

This unassuming "hole in the wall" hidden corner spot has really great food. I mostly order delivery from here, I've eaten inside once a few summers ago and they didn't have a/c which was kind of awful, not sure if that's changed. The actual space is nothing special but the food is! Some of my favorites are the mushroom and spinach Benedict, ham & cheese omelette w/ arugula, and more than anything the French toast!!!

it's a small hole in the wall type of location. the cozy atmosphere instantly welcomes you in. we were greeted and attended to rapidly by several of the staff which i thought was nice. the menu itself is small but nicely curated. pricing is fair as they give you generous servings. i ordered the cilantro hot link fried rice and a side of house potatoes. both which were good but i ended up taking a good amount of it home to enjoy at a later time.

Potato Sack is located around the corner from my apartment and I have been frequenting this establishment for the past few weekends. All I can say is thank goodness there's a brunch option in Ktown located literally less than a block from my apartment. I've ordered most brunch items here. Favorites include the following: -breakfast sandwich = $9 -cilantro hot link fried rice = $9 -jalapeno bacon fried rice = $9 -2 eggs + 3 bacon + potatoes + carbs = $9 So basically everything here is very delicious - even the regular ole eggs + protein gig. Each entree is pretty substantial and despite being generous in size, everything was distinctly flavorful. I like it; good American breakfast with a slight twist. Parking is rather difficult in this plaza - Uber here or you haveta find street parking. Service is great, and overall, relatively cheap for brunch by LA standards.

This is my new jam. I love that they use biodegradable containers for their takeout orders! Less plastic please Food: I've had most of their rice bowls, burritos, breakfast plates, French toast, potato pooper thingies - all f'n delicious. Put an egg on it! Price: super reasonable Service: great, friendly, fast Parking is tight but so is the food. This is my new go to place. Every Sunday or Saturday, see you there.

I happened to be in the parking lot of this restaurant during nighttime when I was immediately attracted to the huge illuminated sign of a potato. After approaching, I realized that this was a restaurant, and I knew I had to come back when it resumed regular hours. I came on a Saturday morning and expected a wait, as a lot of brunch/breakfast places have long lines, especially on the weekends. We were seated immediately upon arrival. You actually order and pay at the counter, but they do serve the food to your table. Their menu is full of breakfast classics. We ordered several things and were not disappointed by any of these items. My favorite thing I ate there has to be the southern hash browns that came with our omelet- so crispy! Also, don't forget to check-in for the complementary potato bombs!

Great breakfast spot and a good alternative to places nearby with super long brunch waits. Small parking lot (a plus!) and tater tots as a side dish! Great mix of Korean and American breakfast staples.

Oooh man, I thought this place was going to be good. Don't get the breakfast burrito with bacon and tater tots unless you want HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. When I took my first bite of tater tots I said to myself "wow that's salty" then when I took a bite of my breakfast burrito I told my self"JEESUS I JUST Wasted $20 for this breakfast burrito. The only thing that was good was the freshly pressed orange juice which costed $6.57 cent. I couldn't eat my food and i wasted it because it was terribly salty. NEVER AGAIN
