The Queensberry Hotel (Bath, UK) 5 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Long before that other Queensberry fellow lent his name to the rules of boxing, another marquis commissioned a row of townhouses from John Wood the Younger. Now these four Georgian houses, joined together, comprise the Queensberry — a result which, unless you’re a particular devotee of the sweet science, rather tips the balance in favor of the hospitable Queensberry, and away from the pugilistic one." - Tablet Hotels

The Queensberry Hotel | Northeast Somerset, Bath | England | Smith Hotels

"Style Quartet of Georgian townhouses Setting Heart of historic Bath Explore More hotels in Bath More hotels in United Kingdom Born from the combination of four 18th-century houses built in inimitable Bath Stone, The Queensberry Hotel is perfectly placed to explore Bath’s historic centre. The interiors keep the noble proportions and stately trappings of a Georgian townhouse – high ceilings and decorative fireplaces, for example – but the furnishings are fit for 21st-century urbanites. At acclaimed restaurant the Olive Tree, head chef Chris Cleghorn works his magic with first-rate seasonal ingredients, uniting cutting-edge cooking with classic British flavours. For the full experience, try his nine-course tasting menu, which rivals anything in Bath. Get this when you book through us: A drinks tray on arrival" - Mr & Mrs Smith

Queensberry Hotel | Best places to stay in Bath

"Contemporary style is hard to find in a city as historic as this, but this hotel has it nailed. It’s a collection of four interconnected Georgian townhouses in a fantastic central spot close to all the key attractions, on a classic Bath street. Inside, multiple staircases lead to uniquely designed rooms with hand-painted wallpaper and zingy colours, as well as ceiling roses and period features. It’s young, fresh and relaxed; history made over. " - Sian Lewis

Charming boutique hotel in a quiet location, yet close enough to walk to the town and sights like the Roman Baths and Royal Crescent. Very clean, spacious room and gorgeous bathroom with a big tub and The Bath House toiletries. There is a cosy lounge with fireplace and tea / coffee, and the bar serves excellent cocktails and wine. The breakfast was freshly prepared, not a buffet, in the superb Olive Tree Restaurant. A very comfortable and relaxing visit.

Had a brilliant stay at The Queensbury Hotel. The building has real character, with a warm, traditional feel but still very clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious, tidy, and well looked after. The staff were excellent — friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived. Location is perfect too: quiet enough to relax, but just a short walk to all the main sights in Bath. A lovely stay overall. Would happily return and definitely recommend to anyone visiting Bath. Highly recommend Valet Parking if not using car.

Can’t rave about this place enough! Valet service was seamless, got to check-in early, received a very nice welcome and we received a room upgrade too which was a nice surprise! The room was so spacious and beautiful! Complimentary bottle of Cava was there when we arrived, and they even offer a shoe polish service which was also a nice touch. Breakfast at their Michelin-star restaurant was also great. We booked using their “Falling Like Leaves” offer which was amazing value for money. Our only regret is that we only stayed for a night. Highly recommend this lovely hotel!

The excellent service sets this place apart from other 4 star hotels I've visited. (one slight hitch on arrival). The room was smart and light with nice seating, and the impressive bathroom was impeccably clean. If you know Bath you will know of the hill down to the city centre, and this hotel is situated on that hill although it's only a 5 or 6 minute stroll down to the centre. That wouldn't disway us from staying here again but it's worth saying. We didn't test the Michelin Star restaurant menu as it was too pricey for me, but others may be more inclined to enjoy that added luxury.

This was our second stay at Queensberry, and on this occasion we chose to stay as part of our engagement celebration. Naturally, I wanted everything to be perfect, and the hotel team did not disappoint. We were extremely impressed with our room, the breakfast, the bar drinks, and the service throughout our stay. The flowers I requested were simply gorgeous, and it was clear that a great deal of thought had gone into selecting them. We would highly recommend Queensberry and are very much looking forward to returning for our third stay.

This must have been our 4th or 5th stay at The Queensberry - and as always it was a pleasure. It’s a beautiful hotel - love the quirky & colourful wallpapers throughout- and the staff are so welcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. It’s convenient for the centre of Bath - only a few minutes walk away - but also in a quiet location. Highly recommended- and we’ll definitely be back

Amazing. Our room was lovely. Staff were lovely (thanks Noah in the bar). Perfectly located for everywhere. Lovely breakfast. I wish the walled garden had been promoted a little more as we didn't know it was there. Lovely free standing bath in our bathroom. Super fluffy towels. Lots of lovely little lounges to sit in and free tea/coffee and newspapers. I begrudge paying to park

I had a lovely weekend stay at the Queensberry with my girlfriend. We stayed in a cosy room but we had more than enough space. The decor was lovely and very much my style, particularly the bathrooms. A minor comment that stuck out to me is that the bedroom carpet had seen better days but that was purely a cosmetic issue. The included breakfast was very lovely: you get a £25 allowance on the menu which broadly lends itself to a continental item, hot item and a hot drink. I really liked the Greek yogurt with pomegranate and honey, as well as the omelette. What did disappoint me was the smoked trout and scrambled eggs. I was served 5 tiny slivers of trout with about 1.5 scrambled eggs. I was very disappointed, much to my girlfriends amusement, especially as I also felt the eggs were 30 seconds underdone. That was my one disappointment on my stay, the rest of it was lovely. I would undoubtedly come here again for another mini break.

Yelp
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in my entire life. First, the decor and overall vibe of this hotel is artsy, unique, chic, and somehow homey all at the same time. Second, the location and views are great. You can walk to so many good shops and restaurants, but the hotel itself is on a quiet street that has a neighborhood feel. Third, the attention to detail is immaculate. Radio set of perfect music when you arrive? Check. Antique brass keys? Check. Luggage handlers who are so polite you feel like you're a member of royalty? Check. A helpful sightseeing guide for fans of Bridgerton? Check. I really cannot emphasize enough how amazing the hotel and staff were. I arrived sweaty and covered in literal mud from a cross country hike feeling incredibly out of place in such a gorgeous hotel and the staff made me feel like I was arriving at my own home. I loved this hotel so much I wish I had extended my time in Bath specifically so I could enjoy this beautiful property for a few extra days. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING SPOT.

Yelp
I stayed in many hotels and Airbnb on my trip to the UK. The queensberry was hands down my favorite. It's very reasonably priced for the level of service and quality of the room. The staff is absolutely wonderful, the bed and linens are extremely comfortable, the room is spacious and the amenities are very nice. The location is great and the rooms are extremely quiet. I used the laundry service since I was a week or so into my trip. They did an incredible job, they even got an old stain out of my jeans that I never expected to come out! I can't say enough great things about this hotel! I can not wait to return!

Yelp
Charming hotel, but even better owner/staff!!! First of all, there is no denial just how absolutely charming Queensberry hotel is. From the quiet, yet perfectly located, street it's on to the first moment you stepped into the historic, story-book-like property, Queensberry hotel is more than an accommodation, it is an experience... especially if you're coming from big North American cities, staying at the Queensberry transfers you to another world, going back in history. However, what truly differentiates a good hotel from a great one is its people. And not when everything goes smoothly, but when you - as a visitor traveling 3000 miles from another continent - encounter a problem. The way a hotel deals with crisis, their attitude towards their customers (in distress), the empathy they show and how they choose to handle the situation are the true indicators of an amazing hotel, and THAT is what keeps you coming back again and again. On that front, if i could i would rate The Queensberry 6 out of 5 stars! I can't lie, there had been some small hiccups during my stay with the Queensberry, one being a mistake they unfortunately made when processing my payment. It was supposed to be a stressful situation. But, the immediate and series actions the hotel staff took - and Laurence (the owner of Queensberry) himself - really touched me. To be honest, I am more impressed by the hotel/Laurence now than if i hadn't had the incident. The way Laurence handled the situation was honestly better than lots of the 5-star hotels i've stayed at in North America. Thanks Laurence, Magaly, Monica for turning the situation around with the most amount of care and grace a customer could ask for. I would highly recommend The Queensberry if you are in Bath, UK!

Yelp
My sister and I came to visit Bath for a day before we moved on to York. What was supposed to be an easy going trip quickly turned into stress because, long story short, our air bnb host left us wandering around town with our heavy luggage for two hours. We decided to wait it out and have lunch first but quickly realized that walking around bath with luggage is not an ideal situation at all. While going to get lunch, we just happened to come across Queensberry Hotel. I had no idea what to expect but I asked my sister to see if any rooms were available, as I could feel myself about to explode in frustration. The ladies that were there were MORE than accommodating. They immediately understood our situation, took our bags and told us to relax with a cup of tea and/or coffee. They actually gave us a bit of an upgrade on our room, which was more than I could've asked for. After we took our lunch, we got the keys to our room and wow- our room was absolutely perfect. Great view, neat, roomy...we had everything we wanted/needed in a hotel room. Absolutely fantastic staff and hotel. Highly, highly recommended

Yelp
Great hotel on a quiet street in Bath, close to the Fashion Museum. The architecture is interesting in itself. My mom and I were on the top floor in #23 with a view over the rooftops. Our room had two beds, a sofa, desk, and plenty of closet space. Evenings include "turning down the bed" service, but no chocolate on the pillow ;) The bathroom had a pitched ceiling (roof overhead) and getting in and out of the tub/shower was a bit dicey, especially for my mom. Also we were disappointed when we passed on the two breakfast options (10 or 15 pounds) and ordered pots of coffee and toast instead, only to find out they charged the full amount for each of us (20 pounds total) - and that was the day the espresso machine was broken so it was a very mediocre cup of coffee! But for the rest, the staff were helpful and friendly and we had a good stay.
