Homey neighborhood tavern in a converted bungalow serving cocktails, craft beer & sandwiches.
"A rustic and friendly neighborhood bar, the Rambler offers well-crafted cocktails, beer, wine, and classic bar food with a Southern touch. From 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays (and all day Monday), beer, wine, well drinks, and cocktails are all $1 off. Food options for happy hour include $8 smoked brisket chili, $9 spicy fried chicken strips, and the excellently crispy tornado potato fries: $5 for a plate or $10 as a beefy bacon poutine. The Rambler already had a large backyard patio, and added even more seating around the bungalow home where the bar is housed." - Dianne de Guzman
"Set inside a converted 1920s bungalow, The Rambler is known for its Southwestern fare like Frito pie and smoked brisket chili, in addition to cocktails such as the Texas mule. The bar has dog-friendly front and back patios, plus fire pits and a bocce ball court. The Rambler is known for its killer happy hour that runs all day on Mondays, which makes it an easy spot to relax with the pup for an afternoon." - Michelle DeVona, Nathan Williams, Eater Staff
"Few Portland neighborhoods are as well-suited to bar-hopping as North Mississippi, and few Mississippi nights out are complete without a stop at the Rambler. Fire pits and a permanent patio roof keep the Rambler’s backyard bumping year-round. Duck inside the converted Craftsman for filling bar food with Southern-fried flourishes, a modest beer and wine list, and a killer happy hour margarita." - Nathan Williams, Eater Staff

"The Rambler, a ’20s-bungalow-turned-bar known for its patio seating, has the feel of a great neighborhood watering hole: The bartenders are warm and casual, and on a warm night, the various outdoor tables are filled with 20-and-30somethings in denim, drinking pints and housing curly Cajun-seasoned “tornado potatoes” topped with cotija cheese, herbs, and house aioli. Outdoor seating is easy year-round here, with plenty of fire pits." - Eater Staff, Thom Hilton
