Tasty and unusual meal - though the meat dishes looked great, we went vegetarian tonight. Started with the warm Muhammara, a slightly spicy red pepper based dip with soft pita - perfect with a cold crisp beer. One entree was the Root Vegetable Gratin, a hearty layering of beets, carrots, sweet potatoes and more, baked, with a light creamy sauce and nice side salad. Second entree was La Pastilla, a phyllo-wrapped variety of Middle-Eastern-spiced vegetables on a tomato-chili chutney - delicious, and large enough to bring home leftovers.
Erica was charming, helpful with food and wildlife-spotting recommendations.
Really want to come back for the Three Pharaohs- three meat dishes that looked amazing.
