Updated per owner's prompt response which I really appreciate. Edited the oily soup and beef part based on owner's explanation. For the soup base, again, really appreciate the offer and will take note in the future. Just want to highlight that is a collective comment from me and 3 of my other friends, so I'd say it is salty, at least to our preferences.
Really skeptical about all the other reviews, and here's why.
Went there with my friends on a slow sunday afternoon (non rush hour), ordered 3 fatty beef with tomato soup rice noodle plus a plate of dumblings, ate it on the spot so delivery time/ sogginess shouldn't be in the equation of our review. Soup base is way too salty, to a point where we can barely taste any tomato flavor, not to mention how oily it is which is quite the opposite of being healthy. (Update: it is only oily because of fatty beef so I guess stay away from fatty beef if you prefer a lighter broth) The portion is quite disappointing as I would have expected more beef and noodles, but as far as I remembered they offered free refill for noodles(?) so that kinda justified the price tag. Maybe I expected too much given how it's rare to see a restaurant specializing in rice noodles, but the fact that the restaurant is located in soho not chinatown should have been a red flag. Dumpling wrappings are way too thick and the filling tastes like the ones in frozen dumplings, would prefer them to serve soy sauce on the side, dumplings are completely soaked in soy sauce when served which made the saltiness unbearable.
