9 Best Places to Scoop Up Light and Airy Tiramisu in NYC - Eater NY

"This new American bistro on the Staten Island waterfront, from the team behind Bay Ridge’s popular Cebu, draws heavily from classic Italian fare. The desserts are the domain of inventive pastry chef Patrizia Lombardo, who adds caramelized bananas and a touch of rum (instead of marsala) with the other traditional ingredients." - Andrew Cotto

I adore this place. It is so cozy and modern. Great atmosphere. Great cocktails. Food is also really delicious. I would say it is a little pricey for Staten Island, but if counting delicious food and great service, it is not so bad. They only open for dinner and on Sunday for brunch. In the summer, they have a terrace open.. but i did not visit the terrace yet. I would definitely recommend visiting for dinner. Today, we had brunch here with my husband and we got a great service..food came out fast, salad was fresh and yammy. We got a complimentary sweet bread toasted with a tiny jelly jar..very nice touch. We also had a fried burata and two eggs Benedict. Everything and everyone was lovely. Definitely will be back.👌🩶

Google
Very nice restaurant, cozy and stylish. They have very friendly, caring and helpful staff. I will say maybe it was little too loud with music and people talking but overall birthday party went well. We ordered some appetizers. LOLLIPOP CHICKEN WINGS (5) (honey Sriracha, blue cheese) 19$ were good , tender and crispy outside but bit on the spicy side. FRIED BURRATA $16 BABY ARUGULA, BASIL OIL, TOAST - juicy inside, crispy outside, arugula was sprinkled with tasty sauce. Oysters on the Half Shell were fresh, served with let and spicy sauce, but if you will come before 7 PM ( I believe just on weekdays 4-7pm) you can get 1$ each ( was offered on menu). BEET TARTARE $20 RED & YELLOW BEETS, SMASHED AVOCADO, TAJIN SPICED TARO CHIPS- very blend and not really flavored or seasoned. Caesar salad - very tasty. Really disappointment was STEAK FRITES $49 NY PRIME, PEPPERCORN COGNAC SAUCE, CRISPY FRIES. Ordered medium rare- delivered raw, marbled with congestive tissue very hard to chew. BLOOM BURGER $19 GLUTEN FREE OATS & SUNFLOWER SEEDS, LETTUCE, TOMATO, SPECIAL SAUCE, FRIES, POTATO BUN- interesting to try, honestly, I don’t like it, will not order it again. The other burger was good average. Star dishes : BAKED WILD SALMON creamy dijon sauce, roasted potatoes $34.00 and DOUBLE CUT PORK CHOP bone-in chop, cherry peppers, mashed potatoes $36.00. Highly recommend! In addition I will advise you to order cocktails!

Another great new restaurant in Staten Island. It was easy to make a reservation and when we arrived we were seated promptly. The decor is modern with a nice fireplace in the back. Tables are not bunched together with adequate seating area. The wine list is simple but complete with prices being reasonable. The food menu has a great deal of options to cover a wide taste. The french onion soup with short rib is a must. The flavors were perfect from the melted cheese down to the onions. The mac and cheese with truffles was a great option as well. Pasta was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of cheese not to over power the food. The steak was medium and on the money with flavor. The ambiance coupled with the food was a perfect way to have dinner with family and friends. The only issue we had was the way the food was brought out. We were asked to order the entire meal and figuring like other places the appetizers would come out then the entree. This was not the case the entire order was brought out at the same time so as you were eating soup or salad the main course was getting cold. They did offer to take it back and keep it under a heat lamp but we chose not to as I am certain it would just make the food worse. The waiter was nice about it but wish they would have told us in advance of how they serve food. Overall a great meal.

Google
Good octopus. Nice oysters my friends had. Decor inside was very aesthetic and warm cozy atmosphere. Service was friendly and the runners were very nice and efficient. Free bread is always a plus. We started off w drinks they were nice and strong. Non alc tho, is palmers I was not a fan maybe cause the thyme.. Oysters were cool the lil tabasco sauce was so cute. Pasta wheel mac and cheese were nicely cheesed w short rib an 8! Fried burrata were crunchy cheesy but was a bit of a chew. Risotto had wayyy too much wine flavor almost like it got poured in with no water added to balance. But the scallops in it were amazing.! Octopus was nicely grilled and had a goos texture and the garnish of tiny potatoes and tomatoes were amazing, minus the pickled radish? Bathroom was pretty, clean, and two.

The Richmond has this effect where you look at the price points and think, this is somewhat steep and when you food and drinks arrive, you realize it's a solid choice! I ordered many small orders: the happy hour oysters, French onion soup, beet and quinoa salad, and coffee to finish. The ambience is modern with touches of gold and brass to lift up the plant flora motif which have a stylish casual feel for dates and small dinners with friends. The oysters were shucked clean and none of them were murky but fleshy, smooth, and briny. All were a great size and crisp. The French onion soup was a touch over salted but had the crunchy melted cheese and delicious thick beef texture that's just the right amount of comforting. I loved the spicy ginger cocktail that had a puckered punch and Tajín like sales rimmed on the glass. The beet and quinoa salad was filling but the yellow and red beets felt really over soft and didn't feel like they were fresh roasted or pickled, but still a refreshing hardy salad nonetheless. Additionally, it could've used more goat cheese and felt like pre-packaged crumbles. The restaurant started to pick up at 6:30pm and patrons reached from families, to date night crowd, and was more of a white crowd. The server was informative and kind, steadfast with clearing the table and refilling water. Over all the meal was tasty, enjoyable, and a lovely semi-fancy modern take in Staten Island. Outdoor dining sounds like it could be a beautiful option too.

We had an early reservation for 5 p.m. because we were attending a fundraiser later that evening. The Richmond has an open airy atmosphere with an exposed wood-beam ceiling and belt driven industrial fans. They have both indoor and outdoor seating also. Our server was both friendly and professional and very knowledgeable about all the specials on the menu. The food was excellent. They have a very interesting menu. We will definitely be going back

This was my first time trying this place. I have been there before when it used to be Gatsby on the Bay. They definitely made changes to the decor which was beautiful. The details even on the chairs was exquisite. They also have outdoor sitting. The service is absolutely wonderful. Very very happy. Now to the food. Loved it. We got the octopus and also lobster tartar. For main course I had the chef special which was the ravioli with sausage and broccoli rabe. Absolutely delicious. My husband had the short rib. Another delicious plate. Dessert I had the carrot cake and a special which was Oreo mousse cake. Very very pleased.

Google
Finally an exceptional restaurant made it to Staten island that is not Italian food orientated. The Richmond drink was phenomenal. The days special beef tartar rivaled anything I have had in Quebec, Toronto, even in Leon. Finally the braised beef short rib was tender as it should be in a nice balsamic glaze with the roasted carrots that balanced everything out. Just wished the Gibson my second drink would have come with pickled onions as it should instead of an olive, but it's forgivable considering the supremacy of the first drink the Richmond.

Yelp
I recently dined at The Richmond on Bay Street with my best friend, her husband, and their children, and we had an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a great meal. The food was incredible! Each dish we ordered was delicious, and there was something for everyone, even the kids. The menu offers a nice variety, so you can definitely find something to satisfy your cravings. The service was equally impressive. Our server was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It felt like they genuinely cared about making our dining experience enjoyable. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time at The Richmond and I can't wait to return! If you're in the area and looking for great food and service, this place is a must-visit!

Yelp
The Richmond is the definition of a hidden gem on Staten Island. In an unassuming area, the interior of the Richmond was very nice and modern with spherical light fixtures hanging from the ceiling with exposed beams. There were plants lining the windowsill and a leafy statement wallpaper. The restaurant was pretty busy on an early Sunday afternoon, but we managed to get a table for two near the window. We were pleasantly surprised to be given a complimentary plate of toasted bread topped with powdered sugar with a cute, tiny jar of jam on the side. I ordered the eggs benedict and my boyfriend got the fried chicken sandwich with the normal fries swapped out for truffle fries. I appreciated how my eggs benedict came with some potatoes and greens, but I wasn't too big a fan of the fingerling potatoes. My boyfriend's sandwich came with a cute little pickle skewered on the top, but the fries ended up being a bit hard. Regardless, my eggs benedict was pretty good with the eggs poached perfectly, and my boyfriend's fried chicken sandwich was up to his standards as well. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Richmond as a spot for brunch on the island!

Yelp
Richmond is a really cute/nicely decorated American bistro in Staten Island. They are only opened at 5pm on weekdays and noon on Sundays. My partner and I stopped by to try their foods. The atmosphere and the food remind me of American chain, Westville. The food price tags are similar as well. They gave us complimentary toasted bread with a small jar of jam. I thought that was our French Toast order. We were served by three different servers. I think the cook actually came out and deliver the food. It was a different dining experience. Things I wish for - for waiters to not check in on us - but let customers stay a little longer and enjoy the restaurant (personal preference). I guess that's what the bar is for..Overall, a very nice and good quality restaurant on Staten Island.

Yelp
Best Customer service I've ever had in NYC. Our server was Dana, and I can't imagine it getting any better than her. She was so sweet, informative and even gave us tips on other places to check out nearby. Dana was very attentive and accommodating without hesitation. I came here for a date night, but I also so some ladies having a girls night and someone dining solo, so The Richmond is fitting for any party. As for the food.. we had the lavender mocktail, as well as the ginger mocktail. Oyster Rockefeller, the short rib French onion soup, the grilled salmon (I substitute the seasoned potatoes for truffled mashed potatoes) my bf had the chicken Parmesan pizza with a side of pasta, the menu states it's for 2 but it can definitely feed 3 in my opinion. 5 stars across the board, we plan to return on a Thursday since Dana said there's a steak special on Thursdays.

Yelp
I'd rate The Richmond three and a half stars. We stopped food dinner at the Richmond on our way to see a Staten Island FerryHawks game. They have a full bar with a nice variety of midtier whiskeys, a handful of whiskey options, and about a dozens wines available by the glass. We walked in right at opening and were seated immediately. They have a few interesting promotions going. I decided to give the $1 oysters a try. They had an intriguing deal for a Tomahawk steak with a bottle of wine and dessert, but we ended up going in a different direction. We paired the oysters with the tuna tartare served with guacamole and toast. Felt like a quintessential millennial dish. I could definitely see myself getting this again during a brunch. For the main course, we shared the double cheeseburger and the short rib Mac and cheesy. Menu felt brunch forward. We enjoyed the burger, but it was super messy to eat. Had to reassemble it a couple times. Came with some thin and crispy fries which were perfect. The Mac and cheese is a big portion. We ended up taking about two thirds of that to go. The restaurant has a contemporary barn house decor. I'm guessing this place is absolutely packed during weekend brunch. Service was accommodating. There were two gender neutral restrooms.

Yelp
Excellent service and exciting, vibrant food! Came here for tomahawk Thursday night and it did not disappoint! Every Thursday, there is a dinner special where you get a tomahawk steak, 2 sides, wine and a dessert for $145. The tomahawk was tender and melt in your mouth with the perfect cook. We swapped the wine for two additional sides. We tried the truffle fries, truffled mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and the mac and cheese. My favorite sides were the truffle fries and truffled mashed potatoes. The fries are crispy and cooked in truffle oil so they were full of umami. The mashed potatoes were creamy and light. For dessert, we had the fudge cake with vanilla gelato - perfect way to end the night! The cake was rich and decadent, while the cold sweet gelato helped keep it from being too heavy. Just a warning that the food takes a while to come out - around 30-40 minutes before you see the first dish. I highly recommend the sweet and spicy calamari for an appetizer. The wait is worth it when you try this. Each piece is lightly breaded and seasoned well. The sweet spicy chili sauce brings the perfect amount of heat. The interior is very spacious so perfect for dates or big groups. The staff were very nice. I am excited to come back to try more dishes.

Yelp
First time at this restaurant. The food was tasty and the Old Fashion made by Bartender Rob was on the money as we ate at the bar. Nice cozy atmosphere. My wife and I were very happy overall with the service and quality. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!

Yelp
This place is such a cool vibe.. loved everything about it. Food was delicious and presentation actually very impressive with the food and cocktails! Service was very good as well... don't hesitate to try this place!!!

Yelp
We had the wheel mac and cheese which was cool. A bit hard for some reason. But the ambiance was calm and fancy like a living room. I enjoyed their salad and the fried cheese was interesting. But their risotto had too much wine nd wasnt cooked down, to where it just tasted like I'm drinking accidental poured wine-risotto. But the scallops were tender and then the octopus was fun, had bits of potato garnish. Their drinks were just ok, my mocktail was pretty nasty tho maybe I didnt like the herb. The staff was friendly but kind of cold. Bathroom had cozy vibes.

Yelp
It was reported that on Aug 11 will be restaurants last day. Reported by SI advance. What a shame. Another bites the dust.

Yelp
THIS IS GEM IN Staten Island !!! The ambiance is so homey and cozy. The decor is beautiful inside. I just want to live in there. I went twice; once for brunch and once for dinner. Both times was amazing!!!! $1 oysters 5-7pm mid week, are you joking? Can I just say that these oysters are juicy, huge, and fresh. Here's what we recommend: Apps: Oysters - the best Arancini balls - filled with wild mushrooms Fish tacos- bartered fried fish, super light, comes with 3! Short rib Mac n cheese- so tasty, rich, cheesy, and the short rib is so good Rigatoni Ragu- this will put you to bed, it's so filling so order this if you're extra hungry. It comes with a hefty scoop of ricotta on top. Burger- pat la frieda!! Hello!! Toasted buns, juicy patty, crispy fries Chicken and waffles - juicy chicken Dessert- the warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Oh my... this was so light, not too sweet, perfect with the cold creamy ice cream. We wanted to lick the plate!!! Drinks- the Richmond does not skimp on alcohol at all. All cocktails are strong!! All the staff was friendly and attentive. I feel like we're all friends just hanging out. It gets busy on Friday nights but it was amazing. Here's a few pics. I forget to take pics sometimes because we were too hungry!! (FYI: im going back to try tomahawk steak night, the chicken entree, and the baked cod next.)

Yelp
First time there, food was good. Drinks were delicious. Service was great, our server was attentive. Place is decorated like a cozy house with an outdoor garden area. Definitely going back to try Tomahawk Thursday special. Its Tomahawk for 2, a bottle of wine, dessert and 2 sides for $145.
google avatar

Yelp
We have gone there for brunch a few times. The service was perfect and the food very good. The atmosphere inside is really nice. Overall, an amazing place.

Yelp
I don't often come to this part of the island besides the rare trip to Snug Harbor (super underrated park by the way). I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The food was great as was the drink menu - Blantons bourbon is available for around $20! I had the shallot lemon cod entree. The sauce was great especially with the tasty potato and string bean accompaniments. The yellowfin tuna tartare was also memorable. Sweet and fresh tasting, with a nice texture. The environment was pretty cool too. A little out of place for the location. This restaurant would really fit in somewhere in the west village or Gramercy.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend made a reservation on a Sunday for brunch which they only offer it on Sundays. The interior feels nice and relaxing which is a plus. They have both indoor and outdoor seatings! We choose the inside seatings because it was quite windy that day. We ordered steak and omelette and short ribs mac and cheese. The short ribs mac n cheese was delicious! It has truffles on it! There was not a lot of customers at the restaurant when we went but it took them a while to bring out our drinks. I asked for scrambled eggs and medium rare for my order, however, when the food came out, it was fried eggs and well done steak. I didn't want to wait for another order because it also took them a while to bring out our food.

Yelp
Great new spot we tried for dinner. Very nice bar when u first walk in where we enjoyed a glass of wine while waiting for friends. Place was very airy and clean with great atmosphere. Not a huge menu but enough to choose from. Service was good , waitress was very nice too . Food was very very good, will def go back .

Yelp
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Devin was great! Have been here before and will go back again and again.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night for drinks to celebrate my birthday. We stayed at the bar area. Cocktails are really good here! Definitely recommend. The bartenders are nice. Great atmosphere and pretty decor inside. Returning here for their Thursday tomahawk steak night. Hoping the food is as good as their drinks!

Yelp
This location is lovely. The ambiance is great. Airy and classy. The crème brûlée is divine. Not overly sweet. Creamy and you can actually see the vanilla bean paste. Highly recommend. The drink was ok. The expresso is not the best making it quite bitter. They used bottom shelf liquors but the bartender was polite and charismatic. This is my second time here. The first time I had a cappuccino which was also overly bitter. This place is 50/50 for due to the the serving staff. Which is why I gave such a low score.
google avatar

Yelp
This is our second visit to The Richmond and it has confirmed it's 5 star status. Our server this evening was Aldo and he was excellent. Very professional and friendly. His menu recommendations were spot on. We had the raw oysters, they were so fresh and delicious. ( I discovered I like raw oysters). The fried calamari was also crisp, hot and delicious. For the main course I had the braised pork chop, it was flavorful and cooked to perfection. My husband had the Lamb rigatoni, he loved it. To top off the meal was the banana tiramisu and the carrot cake silky and smooth.
google avatar

Yelp
Okay, I was very excited to try this place given the reviews. Pros: The ambiance and menu with craft cocktails were so much my speed, I decided to have my birthday dinner here I love a good elderberry drink. I think the cocktails were great (mine on the sweeter side) Cons: we got the quinoa, kale, goat cheese, beet salad. Too much earthy flavor. Too much kale. No acidity and truthfully should have been quinoa with beets + goat cheese well dressed with a touch of kale. Fish tacos smelled fishy undercooked we had to send it back. Fried chicken. Batter okay, but who the heck cut this chicken ? The pieces were all cartilage, bone and tendon, one huge piece of breast, inedible. Roasted cod. Rubbery. Overcooked and potatoes barely cooked and borderline raw Honestly very dissatisfied. The place has a good thing going and. A great menu but the chef is missing the mark. Sorry! Cons outweigh the pros Not worth the money

Patrick S.

Yelp
Ate here on valentines day. Very classy on the inside. Great intimate type feeling. Food is excellent they have good deals during the week as well.

Yelp
Me and my wife celebrate many of our important dates here, or come by just to get a quality meal in a relaxing setting. Ive never had a bad meal here and their specials always offer something creative and new to keep it fresh. Highly suggested. The ambiance, service and food are all top notch!

Yelp
THe BEST spicy Margarita I've had in my life to date...To know me is to know that I'm a sucker for a well-crafted cocktail and this is IT. Wow... My partner has been raving about this place for months and I really didn't think much of it. I'm from Brooklyn and let's just be honest, there's a lot of great restaurants but this restaurant can definitely stand it's own. We sat at the bar & ordered some appetizers and a dessert-- Asian short ribs, truffle mash potatoes, chicken wings and crepe brûlée. The Asian ribs were huge and meaty and paired really well with the smooth mash potatoes. The chicken wings were pretty good. It was a bit misleading as they were lollipop than wings. It was good nonetheless. The crime brûlée was a nice ending. Actually the second dose of spicy margaritas were and it was a nice "till we see each other again". I'm definitely looking forward to sitting at a table & have a full meal.

Yelp
Visit this restaurant quite often. Realized that it becomes my favourite spot The perfect menu, reasonable price, and quality are as expected.

Yelp
So refreshingly " un-Staten Island- like"! The decor, cocktails and menu are perfect. We went for girls' brunch and had a great time. It wasn't noisy but yet still felt super comfortable. Absolutely will go back.

Yelp
Delicious food and very attentive wait staff. Would certainly come back. Oh yeah and best French onion soup I've ever had!

Yelp
I'm so happy my friend and I decided to come here over the weekend for dinner and drinks! The entire atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We were seated outside and ordered the Fried Calamari to start which came with shishito peppers and was very good! I ordered the Friend Chicken entree which I really enjoyed! The service and drinks were impeccable!!! I probably had the best espresso martini in my entire life and I will definitely be back for drinks and dessert very soon! Cheers to the bartender working that night- incredible!

Yelp
Beautiful well stocked bar. Delicious happy hour specials. Attentive service. Limited parking in the area.

Yelp
The ambiance is great. Delicious burrata app. The oysters Rockefeller were amazing..the seafood pasta was amazing with fresh pasta!! The Richmond drink, delish. Only complaint was that it was freezing. Will definitely be back, just with a warm sweater next time.

Yelp
The food was great and the service was pretty good. The place was very clean and the staff was even more nicer.

Yelp
Went here with a group of friends. We had went on a Saturday night so it was expected to be busy however we waited almost an hour for a waiter to even come up to us. One of my friends in the group had went to go get a waiter to take our drink orders after 45 minutes of waiting. The food was decent but not worth the price. I also would've liked more options as I felt the menu was kind of limited. We were recommended here via word of mouth but it definitely was not worth the hype.

Yelp
We had a great dinner at the Richmond. Great ambiance, and service. Must order the Short Rib Mac and we really enjoyed the Duck Special. We are meaning to go back for their HH and oyster deal because it looks great. Would recommend for sure !

Yelp
We celebrated my wife's birthday in this restaurant. The food and service weren't bad but the prices are high. The place is pretty loud so if you think you going to have a meaningful conversation think again. But the thing that infuriated me the most is that they charge extra 4% for a credit card payment and they don't tell you that in advance. So when you get a check you are in for a nasty surprise. We ended up paying $50 more just by using a credit card. This is a dirty tactic employed by some restaurants lately and I'm trying to avoid those restaurants as much as I can.

Yelp
Glad this place survived and has some foot traffic for business. The floor staff was the host/manager(?), 1 waitress, and a bartender. All 3 were super busy on a Wednesday night, but they were all attentive, polite, and always made sure we were okay. This is our 3rd time going. Celebrated our anniversary with our 10 year old son. The host at the end surprised us with a dessert and huge sparkler. Just based of experience, definitely will continue to go back.

Yelp

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday at 6pm. We were the first to arrive but it quickly filled up. They ask if you have reservations so it's probably safe to make them. This place is so so cute everywhere I looked I was impressed. I love when a place has amazing food to match their decor (and good music choice too!). Most importantly the service was awesome and why I gave 5 stars *$1 oysters were delicious and sweet, fresh from Virginia * Buttermilk chicken, mashed potatoes, the burger are all tasty and good choices * Dessert we had the fudge cake and gelato. It was great and I like the graham crumble for crunch A little Feedback for : Drinks - had the spiked lemonade which was very good but I'm a light weight and I didn't taste/feel any alcohol. But it was seriously The taco appetizer is very tiny but delicious. Just a heads up :)

Yelp
The restaurant is only a few weeks old and I was drawn to the restaurant by the 8 very positive reviews it's had in the first few weeks it's open. New, great service, very friendly staff, well executed and an efficient operation that runs as if has been open for years. I had a conversation with both the one of the owners Michael and the manger who were both very nice. They both have an extensive restaurant back ground. The restaurant has a nice ambience and there is an outdoor area for the warmer temperatures. The food was excellent and there are few restaurants that offer Dover Sole and this is one of them. We also had the salmon that was excellent as well. As most restaurants serve they they have a nice focaccia bread with a red pepper hummus spread that is out of this world. They have a nice wine selection and the Cabernet Sauvignon I had was very nice. All in all great place that thinks about their customers. Great service makes all the difference and if they can maintain the service and the quality of food they will do very well. I recommend you try them and support their efforts.

Yelp
Super tasty restaurant with surprisingly cool decor. I'm not familiar with Staten Island but the Richmond is so good it's worth a visit from Brooklyn.

Yelp
Very pleased with our visit. Great atmosphere, lighting, sound levels - all done well. I'm also a big fan of the encaustic tile accents & mid century modern aesthetic. Service was attentive but not overly intrusive - great mix. Good wine selection. We loved the French onion soup and the parsnip soup. We shared the Dover sole entree from the specials menu and were not at all disappointed - great flavors and filling. We'll be returning!

Yelp
My husband and I were very impressed with this newest addition to the North Shore dining scene. This restaurant is the sister restaurant to Vinium and another reason to not leave Staten Island in search of a mature dining experience. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated. There are big windows, exposed wooden beams, a fireplace, modern lighting fixtures and ample seating, along with a separate bar area. The menu is perfect, the drink menu lists many interesting cocktails, and it has many different wines to choose by the glass. We ordered a modern love cocktail and an old fashioned, both expertly created. They arrived in chilled glasses with one large ice cube. Since it was the night before Thanksgiving we chose to eat light. I ordered the celery soup, and we shared tuna tartare and mussels with fries. We were given complimentary focaccia with a delicious hummus. All were more than ample in portion size and all were executed perfectly. Service was attentive and the manager was very friendly, he made sure he spoke to everyone which was a very nice touch.

Yelp
The Richmond has great atmosphere......spaced tables and is warm and inviting. There is a bar and a great fireplace. The food, however was disappointing. For appetizers, we ordered fried calamari which were cut in very small pieces and too crusty, overly fried..although I usually enjoy salsa sauce , this sauce was much too spicy. My spinach with radicchio salad lacked dressing and had hardly any flavor. We ordered two fried chicken dinners. Although the chicken was moist, it was much too salty and not at all crispy. My son had the mussels which were pathetically small....the saving dish was the Cod which was delicious. Service was excellent..waitress delightful. I hope The Richmond improves its cooking, we would love to go again ..we did enjoy the atmosphere!
