Burgers, nachos, grilled cheese, cheap beer, dive bar

"A mainstay on Ponce since 1996, this dive bar right next to the Plaza Theatre has become an institution for cheap beers and good food. Dinky chandeliers hanging above the high top tables are more about funny aesthetics than practical lighting since the dimness helps to hide the very lived-in feeling of the bar. Young people are usually spilling outside of the tiny interior onto the sidewalk for a little more air. With a space so small, serving food seems like it would be too chaotic. But thank heavens you donât need a lot of arm space to eat most of The Righteous Roomâs munchies like their solids hot dog, wings, or nachos." - juli horsford

But thank heavens you donât need a lot of arm space to eat The Righteous Roomâs hot dog, which we usually order slathered with cheese, onions, and chili. The bun comes lightly buttered and toasted, and the chili has big beefy flavors that take things to the next level." - juli horsford, demarco williams
"This Poncey-Highland dive bar is a popular post-shift spot for many of Atlantaâs bartenders and restaurant industry workers, so it must be doing something right. Order the Fatty Grilled Cheese made with American cheese and topped with tomatoes and sunflowers sprouts grilled between two thick pieces of Texas toast." - Denise K. James
"Next to the Plaza Theatre, this Poncey-Highland dive bar is a popular post-shift spot for many of Atlantaâs bartenders â itâs been in business for over 25 years, so they must be doing something right. Order everything from the fish and chips or the lighter Righteous Delight (hummus, olives, feta, yogurt sauce, crudite, and more) to the fatty grilled cheese on Texas toast or a blue plate special (pick a protein and two sides or a veggie and four sides). Lots of bottles, cans, and beers are on draft here, and the kitchen closes at 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday." - Eater Staff
"This dive bar right next to the Plaza Theatre has become an institution for cheap beers and good food. Dinky chandeliers hanging above the high top tables are more about funny aesthetics than practical lightingâyouâll barely notice how lived-in the bar feels thanks to the dimness in here. People usually spill outside of the tiny interior to the sidewalk, and with a space so small, serving food seems like it would be too chaotic. But thankfully you donât need a lot of arm space to eat most of The Righteous Roomâs bar bites. Most of the menu is solid, especially their hot dogâwe get it slathered in melted cheese and chili. But we mainly come to Righteous for their selection of under-$3 beers." - juli horsford
