We visited The Roof at Esmé Hotel for their Sunday Soul & Jazz Night, and overall, it was a great experience. The live jazz band was amazing—super talented and created the perfect laid-back atmosphere. The vinyl mixer DJ added a cool touch, playing smooth, chill tracks that complemented the vibe perfectly. Service throughout the night was excellent. We sat at the bar, and the bartenders were incredibly friendly and attentive, which definitely made the experience more enjoyable. We ordered a margarita pizza and key lime pie—both were good, though nothing particularly memorable. The main downside of the evening was the wine: it was served in an acrylic glass that was still wet from being washed, which felt a bit off for a Michelin-recommended hotel. The wine itself was mediocre, and we expected better by-the-glass options from a place of this caliber. Despite that, the ambiance and music were the real highlights. I’d definitely go back for jazz night, but next time, I’d opt for a table instead of the bar to better enjoy the full rooftop experience.

The lamb chops and margarita pizza were amazing!! The drinks were great! We really enjoyed the roof top and ambiance. We came on Jazz night and it was so fun. Julieta was so friendly and amazing she was very accommodating and made our night special.

Came here on a whim after reading a blog and I was so happy! Antonio was so sweet and made me the best drinks 🍉 I wish I stayed at this hotel now. If you’re looking for a rooftop vibe in Miami South Beach this is a good start

Jorge does an excellent job of making everyone feel good and comfortable while making some awesome drinks. Also perfect for a quick lunch time beer. I love this bar, great for a quick pool side drinks.

Jorge is an unbelievable bar tender/ server! He always greets everyone with a highly contagious smile! He always made sure to take care of all the customers in a timely manner, he always checked in to make sure we were all set! He remembers who you are what your names are really just a great person and worker! Highly recommend him and the rest of the staff! Made for a great vacation!

I've been staying at the Esme for years--it is my go to place when I need a Miami Beach getaway. The few times I stayed elsewhere, I had to visit The Roof for drinks at sunset or for music vibes at night. The staff are one of the main reasons I am so loyal to the Esme hotel-- and the staff The Roof always provide a welcoming and chill environment. During my last visit in May, I had to mix in a lot of work time while at The Roof. Andrei was THE BEST! His friendliness and kind service throughout my visit made it seem like I was still in vacation mode. Thank you, Andrei! I hope to be back at the Esme Roof soon.

Google
Absolutely stunning place! From the moment we walked into the hotel, the unique decor captivated us, and the rooftop was spectacular. We were so happy upon arrival, as every detail was beautiful. However, the dining experience was a major letdown. The fries were cold, and the steak was cooked to a doneness we didn't order and tasted terrible; we couldn't finish it. Unfortunately, this is a place I wouldn't return to for a meal. ☹️

Google
Beautiful design, amazing atmosphere, and a vibe that’s somehow both elevated and totally unpretentious. We popped in for drinks and ended up staying way longer than expected because the whole scene was just too good to leave. The music was super spot on. None of that overplayed, commercial stuff you hear everywhere else. Really nice energy and crowd too. You can tell when people go to be seen, but here you could tell they were there for the music and actually enjoying and connecting. Cocktails were creative, super well balanced, and even though the place was pretty packed, the service didn’t skip a beat. Major props to the team behind the music programming and the bar. They kept it all flowing with zero attitude, just great energy. Definitely coming back to check out the other nights they have programmed :)

Yelp
I don't usually write reviews but as it's midnight and there is a DJ playing music that makes it impossible to fall asleep, I thought I might as well write a review. Yes, it's a hotel DJ. Yes, the manager knows about it. She told me they get lots of complaints. Yes, she promised me the DJ would stop playing at 11pm in accordance with Miami City ordinances. No, the DJ did not stop. It's now after midnight. This hotel has a Michelin key. So either you can just pay Michelin for them to give you a key, or Michelin keys are a joke for some other reason.

Yelp
Esme was sooooo cute!! Clean, beautifully decorated! JD at the front desk was absolutely incredible. We were there for a bachelorette party for my daughter and he 100% took care of us and made sure all of our rooms were ready! There is so much to do in this area. Plenty of food and ice cream options. Walking distance from the beach and Esme has their own area with lounge chairs that their guests can rent for free at the beach! This hotel was beyond charming and has so much history in it and around it!

Yelp
Amazing boutique hotel for excellent value in Miami. Booked this place because it was one of the cheaper hotels with one Michelin key so I wanted to check it out and it did not disappoint! Rooms are super cute and the hotel has a lot of personality. Rooms are on the smaller side for sure but for the value, nothing to complain about. Only minus one star because of communication and responsiveness. I emailed them before, during and after the stay and never got a response. Also, they often don't pick up the phone when you call from the room, so when you need something you have to go to the lobby to ask, which is a bit inconvenient. Overall though, highly recommend for the great location and value.

Yelp
One of the most unique boutique hotels we've ever stayed in. Everyone was super friendly! Location is awesome. Surrounded by restaurants, very close to the beach. The hotel itself is a series of buildings. We were two couples with two rooms that turned out to be in a separate building from the main one, which explained why we had to be "shown" to our rooms. We were told our building used to be Al Capone's brothel LOL. There was nothing to identify that it was part of the hotel on the outside of the building. We reserved the regular King rooms, which were super TINY. I think the shower on our cruise might have been bigger. Next time we would get the next room size up. But for one night it was just fine. It was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Would love to see security added to the building in the form of needing your card to enter it. If I were traveling alone I would have definitely preferred to be in the main building. We arrived quite early and even though our rooms weren't ready we were told we could enjoy the facilities. We had a wonderful breakfast in a charming small room that they use as a bar at night. There's also outside seating for it. We then went up to the rooftop for drinks (mojito-not too sweet...yum!) and later on shared a pepperoni pizza and guacamole. There's a nice looking pool if that's your jam. We also had access to their area of the beach if we wanted it. Wi-fi worked simply and seamlessly the whole time.

Yelp
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Came here for pre-drinks before our dinner at Pane e Vino. Super cool eclectic rooftop bar. Great spot for a quick drink and view. Staff was so nice. Super clean. Best Sangia. Bartender let me pick what fruit I wanted mudddled in and if I wanted brandy added. Personalized experience like no other.

Yelp
Esmé is a new hotel in Miami Beach which has a rooftop pool, lounge, and bar area. For food we had: Mushroom Fricassee on Savory Polenta Cakes (V) -Fried cauliflower Skewer, tahini yogurt, mint salsa -Smoked salmon, crème fraiche, potato latke, dill -Grilled short rib, horseradish cream, sourdough -Curry Homemade Samosas - "Vegan" Scallops with parnip puree I would rate each between a 1-2 out of 5. All lacked flavor. My fav was the fried cauliflower. The drinks also, unfortunately, were not the best. They either didn't have options such as tajin or the drinks weren't strong. I eventually started ordering shots instead of the drink option because they were on the weaker end. The servers were nice and I loved the layout of the establishment as the lounge chairs are abundantly spread out throughout the rooftop and are comfortable. For parking there is a valet option but street parking was available and cheap!

Yelp
A cute, historic hotel in the heart of Espanola Way. The rooms are classic and even though they are on the small side, I think it was everything we needed for a few days stay. The hotel has a rooftop with a pool where you can get some drinks or soak up to beat the heat. It is also walking distance to the beach and tons of restaurants and bars. The rooms are clean and the wifi worked perfectly the whole time we stayed. They also have bikes you can get for free if you want to go explore around. All the staff was kind, accommodating and really helpful. The MVP of our stay was Delisa. She hands down made our experience beyond expectations. She is so personable and friendly - it felt like she was our friend from the first moment we started to chat with her. As an anniversary gift she sent us a bottle of champagne to our room.. That was the cherry on top! I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Wow, this is a wonderful hotel. In fact, we didn't really leave it yesterday. It's unassuming from the street. You walk in to see a beautiful lobby. This look and feel extends throughout the resort. Our room was tastefully appointed with a comfortable bed and a huge shower. The roof has - get this - an awesome pool, a bar where they serve complimentary breakfast and more throughout the day and a fitness area. I think there's sushi on the first floor? It's a lot. It is also right in the vibrant heart of South Beach. Tons of great restaurants, some shopping and really a lot of gelato. We had a wonderful stay. I recommend.

Yelp
Really like this boutique hotel located in four or five buildings above the Esplanade, where lots of good, vibrant restaurants are in central South Beach. Great location, except several blocks off the beach. In town for three night business meeting at FB and booked at Esme inbound and last night to save a stack of $$$. July is low season so rate was very good $135. Suspect it would be 2x or 3x in high season. I liked Esme a lot and will be back. Rooms are small but very well maintained. Hotel is in four buildings above Esplanade shops and restaurants. This is real and what a lot of developers try to create. I love esplanades restaurants and have been going for 30 years. Pro tip try the Drexel. Staff is great. Seems like a family business.

Yelp
We stayed at Esme for a couple of days as part of our honeymoon. Some thoughts - The hotel is beautiful! If you love an old world vibe with miami flair, it's perfection. - The location is ideal! You are five minutes from the beach where guests have 2 free chairs you can walk up and enjoy. Espanola way runs alongside the hotel and is full of delicious restaurants, packed every night. We liked being able to park the car and just walk to anything our heart desired. - The valet and bellhops were so kind and professional, top notch service just generally. - Breakfast at the Salon restaurant was one of the better meals I had. - Shower was A+++ - Again, such a pretty hotel. The flip side - The rooms are SO small if you don't get a suite. We had a king bed and it pretty much consumed the whole room, which meant there was no space for us to comfortably unpack two suitcases. It might be different with a queen, but the room felt like it was not made to hold a king bed. I'd say it's perfect if you plan to not be in the room except to sleep, but a bit tight otherwise to be relaxing. - Our room had quite a few kinks I'll note and explain below: broken bed frame, flickering light, usb charger didn't work on one side. We got cold one night and called the lobby at 10:30pm for an extra blanket. Called again at 11:15, told it was coming. Called at 12:15am and no answer. Stopped by in the morning and told it would be in our room that night - surprise it wasn't. Finally my husband went down and got a manager who had the blanket sent up, and got the bedframe/light and usb issue all fixed. She also gave us a $50 credit for breakfast the next morning. So we really appreciated the manager and serviceman who fixed the room, but seemed like there may be a disconnect somewhere on requests transferring if managers change shifts. Just would recommend checking your room out before you unpack. Overall, we still loved our stay and appreciated things getting fixed for us. There are a lot of great things, just be aware if some of the space limitations with it being an older building.

Yelp
We stayed at the Esmé for our first vacation with our 7 month old. They were very accommodating of us. When we first arrived, a portable crib was not in our room like we had requested, and the room was small! They moved quickly to get us a crib and immediately moved us to a larger room the next day so that the portable crib could fit better. They allowed us a late check-out so our girl could sleep, and generously stored our stroller in the lobby for our entire stay. It was a great place to be with a baby, since there was so much around within walking distance. The rooms were tucked away from any noise, and dark enough so she could sleep. Maybe not the family hotel you'd think of, but it worked out well if anyone with kids is considering it!

Yelp
We had a delightful early Spring stay at Esme Miami Beach. Very well situated in south Miami Beach, this boutique hotel is a jewel-toned gem with a strong retro vibe. It's very tempting to want to take pictures in every pretty corner. Thanks to an early flight, we arrived well before check in, but the amazing Victor at reception worked his magic to not just upgrade our room but also get us in immediately. After a much needed nap, we started to explore our surroundings. Our room was a beautiful, rich emerald green with a matching bathroom that boasted an amazing shower. The rooms are small and storage options are limited (one armoire with two drawers and a little closet) but we knew that going in and planned accordingly. There's no microwave but we did make plenty of use of the mini-fridge and Lavazza coffee maker. Walls are thin but we mitigated that with white noise from our phones. The hotel itself has a small but very inviting rooftop pool complete with bed sized lounges for lazing in the sunshine. You need to claim your spot early because they do fill up. There's a great little bar up top as well with super happy hour deals on beer, wine and cocktails. Food service is available from the ground floor restaurant - the pizza and hummus/crudite appetizer we ordered were both excellent. The hotel itself is a number of beautiful older buildings joined together in a charming little village, complete with the fun and buzzing restaurants on Española Street just outside its doors. The Esme has a deal with Boucher Brothers for complimentary chairs and towels on the beach, which is a short two blocks away. The staff were excellent, accomodating and ready to give great recommendations on things to do and places to eat.

Yelp
Oh, Esmé! This place is just perfect. The amenities - from a sushi restaurant, rooftop bar alongside a pool, and just gorgeous decor all throughout the establishment. The service from the staff is also just impeccable. They were very attentive and accommodating, as well as friendly. The room we stayed in was gorgeous and despite it being near a busy street ("Española Way"), the windows in the room were sound proof. The bed itself was comfy and the pillows and sheets felt good against my body. Honestly no complaints, I'd definitely come back and stay again.

Yelp
Amazing hotel to be in. I travel a lot and I must say this is the best hotel I have ever been. It is beautiful and very central from South Beach Miami. The staff and I have to say everyone were so friendly and very caring. From the minute we checked in and the minute we checked out the staff has been very helpful and so friendly to me and the group that went with us. The rooms are perfect and comfortable and the rooftop with the pool and beds and the restaurant were chic and beautiful. I will definitely be back soon! Thank you again for everything especially you Nadine Bis bald!

Yelp
Extremely rude and unprofessional Valet guy ( Mr. Angel ) at Esme Hotel . That's the welcome that you receive when you arrive here .
google avatar

Jon T.

Yelp
We stayed here during our Miami trip and it was a great choice, the location is great and you can easily access most of the popular spots around Miami beach either via a short uber ride or walking. When we went it was really hot and the AC worked great in our room but it made a weird clicking sound every minute or so, we informed the front desk but nothing was done about it, aside from that everything else was great and we had a really positive experience. It's also nice they provide their guests with a private beach area with beach chairs and an umbrella (umbrella is a $20 extra cost). Really cute property and the decor inside the room was unique and special as well

Yelp
The Esme hotel is one of the most inviting boutique hotels I have seen in a while. The decor and vibes transport you to somewhere that is totally not Miami, but perhaps Spain. This review is for their rooftop restaurant and bar. This rooftop is bae. It's huge and has a Loungey area for seating, tables and a bar. I've visited this spot three times. Once for drinks by the bar at night, once for a Hungry Post singles event which was fabulous and most recently during golden hour for some eats and snacks. We ordered sangrias and rose for the table. The sangrias were delicious and beautiful. We also split ceviche, arepas, guac, truffle fries and a burger. Sounds like a lot but do not underestimate a group of 4 hungry ladies. Everything was delish but my fave were the little arepas. This is the perfect spot to grab a drink with girlfriends and could totally be a perfect kick off to date night with sunset drinks. If you haven't visited the Esme, I'd definitely suggest you visit. It captures the spirit of being on vacation in your own city without being touristy at all. I can see this spot being a local favorite on the beach, as I'm already adding it to my list of go to recs.

Yelp
This is one of the nicest boutique hotels I've been to. It's beautifully designed with a mix of Spanish and old glamour. The restaurants are also very cute with delicious food and drinks. It is nestled right on Espanola Way with so many restaurants to choose from. The location was perfect and only a 5 min walk to the beach. I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Visited Esmé's rooftop bar, El Salón last night for the first time with my boyfriend & sister. Absolutely loved it. Beautiful set up, service was fantastic (believe our beautiful waitresses name was Rosaura?), cocktails were great (I had the Rosé Sangria) & food was yummy, too. We ordered the ROASTED BEET HUMMUS (Aged manchego, yuca arepas), ROYAL RED SHRIMP COCKTAIL (Hass avocado, baby heirloom, cocktail sauce or Tapatio remoulade) and the TROPICAL CEVICHE (Citrus cured mahi & shrimp, coconut milk, jalapeño, red onion, papaya, cilantro). Everything was very good but the Beet Hummus with the teeny, tony arepas was my favourite! SO delicious!!! Will definitely be back for more.

Yelp
10/10 this place is stunning! From the friendly staff the moment you walk in, to the decor, the price, I will continue staying here when I'm in Miami. The location is top tier, so close to some amazing restaurants and 5 min walk to the beach. There was a live DJ on the rooftop when I stayed and the music was great. I kept telling my man he did so good picking this hotel. Rooms are tiny but it is what it is when you can't complain about anything else. They made a beautiful space with the square footage they had. Bed is comfortable. So many photo opportunities. This hotel has a soho house members ship only type of feeling to it. Highly recommended. Hidden gem.

Yelp
This hotel is super cute & well kept, as it recently opened in November 2021. We loved the style and design, funky & old fashioned, yet modern & tasteful. The employees we encountered were all very helpful & kind. There are several restaurants located on the premises, as well as down Española Way worth checking out. Our favorites were Tropezón (their gin bar/restaurant), The Roof (rooftop bar/restaurant), & El Salón (for breakfast). We stayed in the Casa Matanza part of the hotel, located just behind the main part of the hotel in a separate building. We loved the pool area on the roof & spent a day there enjoying. They also have some bikes for guests to borrow, complete with locks, which we took to breakfast one day. All in all, a super cute hotel with great amenities. We loved this Miami Beach retreat! A few issues we had during our stay: 1) Shower knob/cover plate were not properly installed so it was very complicated turning the shower on/off, as well as adjusting the water temperature. Although I called for maintenance, it wasn't fixed during our stay. 2) Be aware: hotel keys may be deactivated prior to checkout time (12pm). Ours were, so we had to call the front desk & wait for them to let us in our room. Late checkout requests must be made via the tablet in your room, $40 to checkout at 1pm and $50 at 2pm. 3) Casa Matanza temp was chilly (set at 60ºF) 4) Rooms are quite small (less than 100 SF).

Yelp
10/10 stay!!! The CUTEST hotel with amazing beach access!!!! Laurence and the staff were so friendly and helpful!!!! I would definitely come back!!!

Yelp
On the surface this hotel is great! Location is perfect without being right on Ocean Blvd, it's clean and the staff is friendly. The downsides only show themselves once you are in your room. The barn door in the bathroom doesn't close all the way, the mattress was horribly dipped, room doesn't get super dark, room is not sound proof so you hear EVERYTHING!
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
I came for a look around as I had heard great things about the new Esme. What a lil gem! It is situated right in the heart of Espanola Way, Miami Beach. My son and I had a look around and we thought the outdoor spaces, balconies, the pool and bar area, and the reception area most definitely captured the Spanish essence.

Yelp
I recently stayed here while attending a work conference, and it was a terrible experience. First, when I was taken to my room, the cleaning crew was still cleaning it. As I waited for about 30 minutes with the attendant that led me to the room, I was finally escorted in. About 15 minutes later, there was a knock on the door and the same attendant told me that I had move to another room. I repacked what I had unpacked and followed him to the new room. As we went in, there was a note for a customer with a name other than mine, so this new room had been set up for someone else. We finally got squared away, but it was a sloppy experience. Second, there was a loud clicking noise from the armoire and the room was next to stairwell that the staff used throughout the night. Given the thin walls, I had an extremely hard time sleeping through the night. Third, the room had ants. There were a few in the bathroom, but the worst was when I set down a snack on the bedside table for maybe ten minutes. I had set it down to attend to work, and when I went to pick it up, it was absolutely covered. Fourth, the last morning there, a false fire alarm went off at 6:30 in the morning. Also, the water pressure in the shower was excessively weak. I will never stay here again and I would recommend that others steer clear of it. The only positive is that it was in a convenient location.

Yelp
We stayed here for one night and had a great experience. The decor is awesome and carries on into the rooms. We didn't mind the small size, as it was big enough for us to move freely. No issues - everything was in working order and clean. The location is awesome (walking distance from various points of interest), and the front desk is manned 24/7. Would recommend.

Yelp
I love the aesthetic of this place! Makes you feel your in Italy somewhere! The designer really took his time in this hotel. I love going to the rooftop in the daytime to hang by the pool. I also enjoy the evening vibes. They have awesome music. I was a bit caught off guard with my tab being $55 bucks for two drinks. It was because my partner ordered the Macallen 12 on the rocks. That alone was 26 bucks. I do feel the bartender missed the opportunity to present the top shelf spirit in a rocks glass. Instead he put it in a mojito glass with a straw. Idk I'm all about my presentation. Which is why this boutique hotel style and design makes me fall in love everytime. This is definitely a hip place to go and stay while in Miami. Right on the busy street on Espanol way. Has to be the best boutique hotel in South Beach for sure!

Yelp
We stayed here for nearly a week during art Basel with our 8 month old. It's the perfect location, close to the beach, walkable to art Basel, really good restaurants downstairs, across the street from GOOD coffee. It used to be a hostel and is historic so the rooms are small, it was a tight stay but the staff was so accommodating it made up for it. There is an amazing bar in the hotel so we were able to set up the baby monitor and still have a nice cocktail. I don't think they have many babies stay here but it actually ended up being perfect. Beds were comfy, we all slept well and the black out curtains helped with our her lag. Thank you Anya and staff!

Autumn E.

Yelp
This hotel is just the best! Beautiful decor made it feel like a relaxing place to hang out. My superior king room is tiny but there are plenty of nooks to chill around the hotel itself. I was staying by myself so it felt manageable but it would definitely be crowded with two people. The room was absolutely spotless and comfortable. A+ location in Miami Beach, close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Had a quick weekend away to Miami, where a friend recommended we stay at the Esmé. I was particularly surprised by how quiet the Casa Manzana section was, which was priority on my list. We were upgraded to a suite, which had great space. Room service food was definitely better than most hotel's. I'd definitely come back to stay here if in south beach.

Justin D.

Yelp
Ordered a "martini" and it was lime juice. Tasted like a watered down margarita. When you charge $20 for a drink with auto gratuity you should make a martini taste like a martini. Bartender / server need improvement

Don R.

Yelp
Not sure why this hotel is rated a 4 star..and no way worth $350 a night! The pictures on their website of the rooms were in no way reflective of the room we were given (see our photos)! The hotel is made up of a number of old, restored buildings. Our room was in a building quite a distance from the main hotel lobby building and the size of the room was like staying in a closet..with the smallest bathroom we have ever had in a hotel in the USA or Europe! Because of flight delays, we didn't check into the hotel until 2 am, yet we were still charged the resort fee for that first day of our 2 night stay! We felt like we were a victim of bait and switch by the hotel, as their photos should include an accurate portrayal of their rooms..not just the larger ones with sitting areas available in the main building! Hotel Management told us there was nothing they could do for us as we booked our room thru a "third party" and we should have booked directly with their website! Still could not figure out their logic, as we always book our rooms with a third party..Capital One Travel. Buyer beware..you have been warned! $350 plus a $45 resort fee a night for this!

Wonderful boutique hotel right in the heart of south beach. Step out the door and you're on Espenola Way with all the great restaurants. Only three blocks from the beach where they have chairs and umbrellas for guests to use. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Love the added touch of umbrellas in the room as we got a little rain in the evening. Rooftop pool and bar were great for relaxing before heading out for the evening. Would happily stay here again

Yelp
I booked three days with Expedia got charged for three days but when I was ready to check in I was told I only had one night so I asked for a refund was not given a refund still trying to make fun of my situation and show my wife a great time I checked in we were told about the roof top bar the other club with the live band. So excited we went to our room got freshened up expecting to experience the roof top bar and the club down stairs to our surprise we got neither. The club was booked for a private event the roof top bar never opened and instead of enjoying the amenities of the hotel we did nothing cause we could not do anything we were not allowed in the club it's was miserable sitting in that tiny room only plus was the extra small balcony. Definitely not worth the 600 dollars for one night and Expedia and this hotel ripped me off and I do not suggest this place to any one unless you are under 5 feet the room is small! Very irritated the workers seemed nice but not knowledgeable of what's going on. The hotel should have reimbursed me and provided another place to go since they decided to book the clubs for private events and leave the paying guests stranded.

Yelp
In A Nutshell: -Esme is a decent boutique hotel in South Beach located in a very convenient location. -It's right around the corner from Espanola Way, which is a small street filled w/ restaurants & shops. -Parking can be done on the street, but not recommended unless you do short-term. -The better parking option is in the parking garage on 16th street, which is $18 per day. -The one thing I didn't like about this hotel, was whenever someone flushed the toilet or took a shower, you could hear the water running in the pipes in the thin walls. -Besides that annoying fact, the room was cleaned daily, the shower was good w/ decent shampoo/condition/soap products. -Never ate at the restaurant or checked out the rooftop. -You can borrow their bicycles (they have 4) for free, which is cool. Overall, the location is the key reason why you would want to stay here, it's not a 4 star hotel to me, more like a 3 star.

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous Spanish-style rooftop bar with upscale cocktails and sangria. The walk from Española Way to this rooftop is transporting, absolutely gorgeous architecture and design, right down to the elevator. There are two seating areas, one with terrace-feeling mosaic tables and one with sumptuous low couches. A small food menu is available as well with favorites like beet hummus and caesar salad. I tried one of the Sangrias and it was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. Absolutely a hidden gem, must try to get off the beaten tourist path!

Yelp
From the moment I walked in respect, politeness, cleanliness. Just wish Miami would prepare better for the rain and or Heat if you entertain rooftop parties! But that didn't stop PaloSanto Dj from getting people on the dance floor! Great music with the perfect volume! Also a surprise treat with the fire Performer!!

Yelp
ROACH FOUND ON BED My husband booked a last minute trip for our birthday weekend to Miami, We stayed at the Esme hotel for 3 nights, beautiful ambiance lovely staff. However, on our second night at the Esme we left housekeeping in our room to clean. Upon our return to our supposedly cleaned room I found a roach on the bed (see photos attached). Ugghhh this was so disheartening because I was enjoying my stay up until that moment. It went downhill from there, I bought it to the attention of the front desk staff and he immediately got the manager on duty. Sonia the manager on duty moved us at 1am and said at least you will have a good night rest (Tuh). A few hours later (check out 11am) we proceeded to check out and further complain to the manager on duty of our concerns and showed her the video of the roach on the bed. She apologize for the inconvenience and awarded me with a $96.50 credit off of my $957.00 room charge. Sonia the manager on duty made racist remarks towards me, she hung up on and told me she had more important things to do rather than listen to me rant about the conditions of the room I was sleeping in. She had no sympathy she basically said I was accommodated enough by having a room change and given a $96.50 booking fee refunded. Now I know race is not always the issue, however I believe when you are in a hospitality business you need to make sure your guest are accommodated to your highest ability. The fact that no one in the establishment showed any sympathy for my inconvenience. A roach in the bed I am sleeping in is not ok and it's disgusting, insulting, degrading! Who knows how many other little roaches was inside the room? I had to send all my clothes to an outside laundromat to get cleaned because I am afraid of what I could have bought back to my home. After going through COVID this is unacceptable!

Yelp
Didn't stay at the hotel but did have a few drinks at the bar, I believe it was called bar pinxto. If the hotel is anything like their bar.. I bet it's an amazing time. The place itself has the cutest walkways, so instagramable. I had the best Paloma and my friend had the bartender make her a tequila mojito and it was AMAZING. The drinks were good and the seating areas were secluded which was different than the busy surrounding areas on espanola way. Loved it!! It was hard to find we kinda just stumbled in there, but if you find yourself here please visit the bar it was such a great experience!

Yelp
Esme hotel in Miami is a hidden gem , with cozy rooms, beautiful decorated, comfortable beds, clean, excellent coffee and amazing staff . I never stayed in a hotel where everyone was so helpful and genuinely friendly ( no fake smiles ) Sanja their front desk manager is so kind and welcoming and made sure our stay was perfect . If I have to complement everyone will take a lot of words . I am surely impressed and definitely will be back !

Yelp
The hotel is nice and clean. The staff is friendly and informative. I booked for a Friday & Saturday night and was woken up by 9am to people shampooing the hallway carpets outside my hotel door. This went on for 2 hours! I tried to call the front desk she said they would stop but they haven't. If you like to not be disturbed in the morning after a night out in Miami do not stay here!

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about Esme and our stay here! We booked a room this weekend while visiting from the other coast. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful- an artists dream! The reason for taking the time to review however was the service! Wow wow wow, everyone was so nice, from the front desk staff to the waiter at the rooftop pool! Not only accommodating, as should be expected, but just pleasant and friendly people! This was a surprise to us- especially in Miami! I highly recommend! My boyfriend and I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
1. Our room was dirty. Floors not vacuumed, curtains had a blood stain, shower did not drain properly which led to a huge flood in the shower, worst of all when we got in bed for the night there were hairs and dirt/sand particles in the bed. This was the last straw for my girlfriend and I. We called, they switched us rooms. No upgrade. The inconvenience to pack and move at 11p wasn't great. 2. After being in our new room, we never got room service cleaning for the remaining days. We stayed with the same bath towels and wash cloths. I called on the final day to inquire and I couldn't get a straight answer from staff. When I asked if some new towels could be brought up the staff member said she couldn't guarantee it because the cleaning staff had left. We never got fresh towels that night. 3. I tried to resolve these issues with a manager and have never gotten a phone call back. 4. There is a new random charge on my card for $299 from Esme hotel.

Yelp
Rooms did not look like pictures, very small and dirty. Watch out for extra fee's for things you do not want or need. Complementary breakfast was not included. You have no choice but to pay for valet parking because there is no public parking. The only thing I liked about the hotel was the location. Know about the extra charges and parking before you book. Thank God I brought my own blankets and towels it would have been worse. The actual event was at a different hotel that had bad reviews and it was better than this hotel. Research before you go.

Yelp
I've come to Esmé about 4 times and I'm always happy to take people to discover the magic of the hotel. I'm a bit confused on my previous (and only) review of Esmé. It was 3 stars due to several unfortunate experiences at their restaurant and it was moved from the Esme Yelp page, to "The Roof" which doesn't seem to have an association with Esme. The hotel is beautiful. Really makes you feel like you've stumbled across a hidden street in Spain. Their beet hummus is to die for. Delicious and it comes with perfectly made arepas. I'm a big fan of their tacu tacu veggie bowl. It's tasty but it's a bit consistent with the size of the bowl and the veggies it comes with. But, still a great option. I'm also a fan of their passion fruit French 75. It's again a bit consistent as sometimes it's tinted orange and other times it's closer to green. So maybe a little more consistency would be key. The servers are mostly kind, especially Alexander. He is a great server. Lovely personality, attentive, and knowledgeable. The bartender at Pinxto, Rico, was also very kind and attentive. Definitely a place to see and spend time with within Miami Beach.

Yelp
This hotel is so dreamy! I'm all about the vibes and all of the spaces in this hotel have been so lovingly designed! I stayed in the king and the bed was so comfortable. - I'm really picky about hotel bedding being gross and it was so clean and lovely. - Great shower pressure and my room has beautiful pink tile with brass fixtures. LOVE. - This seems silly, but they bought full sized, professional hair dryers and I have a lot of hair so this was so nice! - I ate multiple times at the roof bar and the food was fantastic! Fun pool cabanas too! I got the green goddess salad and the shrimp & rice bowl during my stay and they were so tasty. Good drinks too and really friendly bar staff. I'll be back again!
