"The Roof at Viceroy Central Park has two great uses. First off, it’s perfect for when you need to impress a couple of tourists with a very nice view of Central Park. It’s also a great spot for when you want to get a drink after work, can somehow charge that drink to your company, and would like to sit outside. There’s a relatively casual patio with some couches and a couple of tables, and if you get cold, you can go drink in the little indoor area that feels kind of like an old yacht." - Bryan Kim

The Roof is actually located in the Le Meridien hotel and the entrance to the roof is at 120 W 57th. I passed it several times because the description online said it was at the Viceroy hotel. Just a heads up, there is another rooftop bar called The Roof and that’s in the LES. I went on a stormy night and there weren’t a lot of people there, but the servers were still servicing people. The view was still nice and the ambience didn’t change. Then music was a loungy and the drinks were good. It’s a comfy setting. Great for groups or date night. Drinks are pretty average for a lounge can be around $25 depending on what you get, but they’re good and the server comes to take your order. They also have an extensive list of liquor which is a plus.

Nice rooftop in Midtown Manhattan, but a bit overpriced for the service you get. We got there around 6pm and it was impossible to get attention from any wait staff for a table outside. Everything open was apparently reserved. We got a table inside and enjoyed some cocktails and a cheese platter. Jalapeno margarita was good. Suggestion would be to go during off peak hours. Great views of Central Park.

Tucked away inside a building where your greeted by a doorman who leads you down a hall way to a lift where you ride to the 28th floor. The lift opens to an unassuming door labeled “the roof”. inside a cool casual atmosphere, wide selection of scotches, Bourbons, classic cocktails and any other drink you might feel like to end the day or start the night. The staff are attentive and the prices are on par with all the other “hip” bars in New York. Worth a visit

Unmatched views anywhere from south of Central Park, $19 cocktails with a wide selection. Great bourbon and scotch.

Great view of Central Park. Top of the line location, good for business. Up-Scale. Good vibe. I met a few colleagues here from an Executive Education program I was attending and we all enjoyed ourselves. It was highly recommended to us and I highly recommend to others.

Great view, good cocktails and nice small snacks. Friendly service. Not the cheapest place but prices more affordable than other rooftops.

Highly recommend you stop in the next time you are nearby. Recently was in town for meetings and we were lucky enough to stumble in. The views are fantastic and the service was great. Also enjoyed the guacamole and tortilla chips, as well as the hummus appetizers.
