I started going to Wayne for electrolysis because The Root was loudly supportive of trans and non-binary people. I kept going because he's a wonderful person who performs absolute magic. The work he's done has been literally life-changing for me—every day is less of a struggle thanks to his work. Wayne is very understanding of different tolerances to the process and will work with you to make sure your experience is a comfortable one. The Root is a very soothing space. Whether your enjoying some music, listening to a podcast, or just enjoying Wayne's company, he'll help the time to fly by. If you're looking for electrolysis in Georgia, especially if you're LGBTQ+, I couldn't recommend anyone more highly that Wayne and The Root.

As a client, I went to four different electrologists before going to The Root. Wayne is the most accurate, careful, and effective electrologist I've ever had work on me, and is also one of the most kind and empathetic people I know in general. I'm very sensitive to electrolysis, and it's unavoidably quite painful for me—but I don't have the same dread about my upcoming appointments with Wayne that I often felt when I went to other people.

If you're considering electrolysis, go ahead and get on Wayne's wait list. You might be looking at a 6-month wait, but it's absolutely worth the wait. Wayne sets a high bar with his meticulous attention to detail, honesty about the process, and precision in his work. It's rare that I encounter a service provider who not only matches but exceeds my own penchant for thorough and accurate client education, both for potential and existing clients. I especially appreciate that Wayne is committed to client safety through his COVID vaccination requirement and masking. I 100% support and understand those who prefer not to vaccinate. For someone like me, living with a chronic lung condition that's difficult to manage, this policy ensures my safety. Electrolysis is no walk in the park. Despite liberal use of numbing cream, I still find it quite uncomfortable. However, the discomfort is significantly mitigated by Wayne's professionalism, the convenience of his office location (even for those of us commuting from intown), and I just like him. I it's clear to me that Wayne he's at the top of his field, dedicated not just to the practice of electrolysis, but to the well-being and safety of his clients. Highly recommended. PS I don't know if this is normal, but I only have mild inflammation for a few hours after and no ongoing discomfort, no marks on my skin, no evidence that anything was done except an abscence of those wirey, pokey hairs on my chin and upper lip. It's great!

The level of customer service that Wayne provides is outstanding. From my consultation to the day of procedure, the process has been very smooth and structured. He provides so much information and delivers it in a way that is very easy to understand. He describes in detail every thing he is doing to make you aware. This was my 1st time doing this and although there were times it was unpleasant, he made me feel comfortable. I was happy with my experience. His engaging and warm personality also helps! Wayne is exactly the person you should want to perform your electrolysis. He's friendly, thorough, and attentive. He knows the procedure inside and out. This isn't a painless endeavor, and he helps make you comfortable in every possible way. To say he is good at his job is an understatement. But after an initial zoom meeting with Wayne, I instinctively knew I'd be in excellent hands. With Wayne, I've never experienced any visible indication of having electrolysis aside from the expected swelling. His onboarding process for new patients is honestly enlightening. I knew exactly what to expect from start to finish. The cost and amount of time I have invested with Wayne has been completely worth it, especially considering the permanent nature of electrolysis. Wayne is AMAZING. The office is clean and relaxing. He always talks you through the process and makes sure you're as comfortable as possible during the process. My first consultation, I came with a million questions and he answered each one. I'm so happy with my results.

If you are considering any electrolysis procedure I highly recommend Wayne Fishell at The Root. Wayne is fantastic at his trade, and his excellent bedside manner put at ease all of my concerns. Wayne's care and sensitivity combined with his skill and expertise create the optimal environment for addressing my unwanted hair issues. The Root is conveniently located in Chamblee near I-85. The office is cozy with comforting aesthetics (art, lighting, and sound) and Wayne has never failed to offer me a cool beverage following my procedure. My initial consultation was thorough. We addressed my history, skin type, questions and concerns. The treatments are patient-guided and gentle. Wayne provided amazing personal follow up after my first few visits and made me feel like a valuable person not just a client. Today I'm completing my fifth visit at the Root, and I am really enjoying the success of the treatments I have received. My confidence has improved and my morning routine has simplified!

Electrolysis with Wayne was a (seriously) life-changing decision for me. I have had thick, hormonal facial stubble for my entire adult life. Laser hair removal made a dent in it, but it couldn't get the coarse lighter hairs. It also didn't achieve the total coverage that I wanted, which is so important on the face. Thick dark hairs would still pop up all over and constant plucking left me with scars and discoloration. A year with Wayne has left me facial hair-free and given me confidence that I never thought I would have. The texture of my skin has improved so much. I started with weekly hourly sessions and by the end was going every other month for 30 minutes. If you're on the fence, do it! I wish I had done this 20 years ago. It truly changed my life. Plus, Wayne is lovely and totally professional. His office is immaculate and spa-like, with easy parking. I can't recommend him highly enough!

The Root is a fantastic place. Inside is homey and comfortable. Wayne Fishell is just fantastic. I was nervous and he was so kind and friendly. Settled my concerns. First session went wonderfully. Definately ready for more. Prices are very reasonable. This is the place to go.

No one should struggle with unwanted hair. I felt immediately comfortable at The Root because Wayne is compassionate about such an embarrassing topic. The process only caused mild discomfort, which is over immediately after treatment. I noticed a big change in volume and darkness of hair after just a couple appointments. The space itself is clean and modern. Immaculate, really. Highly recommended!

Wayne is so nice. Hair electrolysis is very painful, but he makes sure you're as comfortable and relaxed as possible. His office is clean, and I never worried about COVID while I was there. Even though I still have a long ways before I completely remove my stray hairs, I can't possibly describe how much of an improvement it has made on my daily life.
