We went to the Royal Oak Brewery at 6:00 on a Saturday night and were seated right away. We appreciated that the whole staff was wearing masks.
I started to get an iced tea, but the server said she was told it wasn't good, so I just had water. I truly appreciated her honesty; I hate bad iced tea. I ordered the hangover burger. The sauce had a little kick to it, but I liked it. (I generally don't like anything spicy.) The seasoned fries were good, but a little under cooked for my taste. I will take care of that when I reheat the leftovers. (The burger was so big that I only ate half of it.)
My sister had a veggie pizza. She liked it, but there wasn't enough sauce for her taste. I would have liked it just fine as it was.
My nephew had a spicy chicken sandwich and enjoyed it, but he did need a bit of water to take care of some of the spicyness, as his beer (served in a very cool glass!) does nothing to cut that.
My nephew's girlfriend had the beef stroganoff and she liked it as well. It didn't look like the sauce was very creamy, but she said it was fine. She got a beer that she liked and said that it reminded her of grapefruit.
I tasted the apple cheesecake. I thought it was a kind of strange flavor, but the caramel sauce it was served with was really good.
All in all, I like this restaurant and will certainly consider it again when we are in the area.
