So I generally don't leave mediocre reviews, but this was so mediocre I felt the need to. We got seated quick, which was nice. I asked for a beer menu, the person serving us gave me a blank stare and then pointed to the wall. I have never been here, I did not know if there were more options than the ones on the wall and was just asking but ok. They did tell me about the QR code, thanks, still not a fan of those, but I understand why they are a thing. Well the fun part about this establishment is there is no pricing on the wall or on the site! So you have to ask about every single drink if you'd like to know what you're spending. The drinks were fairly priced, I will give them that. The food however is a little overpriced in my opinion, but being in royal oak, it's probably priced as it should be. (Quick note the food took over 30 minutes to get to us, it was not busy, we did not order anything difficult to make.) The seasoned fries were over seasoned, I asked for well done, they were not well done. I would recommend getting normal fries or something else if you go. The jerk chicken sandwich was the worst jerk spice I have ever tried, I know jerk is very open to interpretation, but that sandwich was not good, maybe I got a bad one, but I doubt they make the seasoning different every week. The chicken was cooked just fine though so I powered through. Who I was with got a burger, and it was definitely better than the chicken, but still nothing to write home about at all. And when the food cost is 35 plus tip, it's pretty disappointing overall. The current cider that they had was extremely tart, and the IPA was insanely hoppy, I am sure other people like this, but it is not one that the standard masses would prefer in my opinion. After spending almost 60 dollars I would have preferred to go to Taco Bell and get a handle on the way home, which I will be doing today and having a better time.
