"An Oakland County brewery institution founded in 1995 by owner Drew Ciora is scheduled to temporarily close beginning May 28 for a roughly $200,000 renovation, expected to last seven to ten days with a mid‑June reopening. The updates are described by the owner as “dramatic and noticeable” compared with a more functional overhaul four years ago; this facelift focuses on freshening both exterior and interior elements, including a revamped facade and biergarten, new custom-built communal tables, chairs and barstools, and staining existing wood a mahogany color. The large pictures on the firebrick wall will be removed and raffled off on May 22 and replaced with marquee lighting and a custom beer-board display." - Brenna Houck
