We tried the Royale Room for dinner tonight during happy hour & it was okay. The restaurant was kind of like a club due to the music blaring, I was not expecting that walking into it but it really was extremely loud. There weren't many tables (maybe 9) so be sure to get a reservation! There was a lot of bar seating, but it filled up quickly.
The oysters, crab cake, chicken tenders & espresso martini were all really good! The only problem was that the restaurant only had 1 server for the whole place, so that server had about 9 tables at once. He was very friendly and apologetic, but he was simply over worked. We waited a long time to order, and even longer for our drinks and food to arrive. When our oysters came they forgot the crackers, and we waited on them for about 15 minutes - I noticed the table next to us also didn't get crackers with their oysters and they waited even longer than we did to ask for some, but ended up not even getting them because it took too long for someone to come and check on their table.
This place would be a good stop to just grab a martini on a night out! But as for tonight's dinner - overall the food was good, but I wouldn't recommend unless you have ample time to eat with no where to be, & you don't mind the club volume music while you eat. Unfortunately those 2 things made for an unenjoyable dinner experience.
