Very fun laid back atmosphere, we had my mom and our two year old. It was crowded but they made it work for us to get drinks, food… until a table became available. Tons of TVs. Great seltzer options.

Trash. Absolutely trash. I've been here twice. The first time I went I noticed the place was really dirty. Both on the inside, and outside. Not to mention the food is way overpriced for food that is mediocre at best. Second time I went, It was all pretty much the same, except this time around the staff were not very nice. And this was before we got our drinks which were terrible. The last straw for me was when we finally got our wings (after a 40 minute wait when they were barely any customers in the place) They were overcooked and dry. I was honestly going to go complain to the owner but I saw him walking around and he looked half drunk. He was also creeping out some of the women there as well. I tried giving it a chance but it's a failure.

This is a solid bar with amazing wings and a delicious burger and fries! I ordered all of that just for myself and of course couldn’t finish it all. I had tasty leftovers the next day. Service was good and the bar was fairly empty on a Wednesday evening around 6 pm.

The burger and fries were very good & our server was awesome! We forgot to ask for separate checks and he knew each of our orders anyway so it was no problem. Saved us the trouble of doing the math! Lol

We visited for the first time to join the University of Florida Gator alumni club to watch the football game. It was an awesome atmosphere, and we had a great time! The sports bar and restaurant has a really friendly and attentive staff, hot, good food, and tasty drinks! I was impressed with how their staff hustled in the big outdoor seating under a tent, we never felt ignored or had to wait too long. When our cocktails took a long time, the waitress, Ruby was really nice and apologizing and was super attentive to the whole group the entire game. The guys managing the tent, and in charge of the TVs and sound systems really hustled and did a great job too. I was very impressed by their events set up, even posting a sign just for the Florida gators, which was hilarious and creative. Overall we had a great time and will definitely return. The San Francisco Athletic Club is THE SPOT for sports!!

We went here for a pay-per-view UFC event. The staff was great, food and drinks were so-so, and the atmosphere was incredible. Great sports bar - would go again.

Not a good place to place an order or to dine in because of their poor customer service, and rude employees. They are located in one of the crowded areas of San Francisco, but still don’t have customers. I didn’t know at first, but after placing an order, and actually checking my orders, then I realized that no wonder why don’t they have lots of customers. Their location is not clean at all , and they don’t take hygiene seriously which is not a good thing because Covid-19 still exists. They charge you high prices for low quality food, and to be honest for not fresh food. They don’t listen to customers carefully, so that is why expect messy food/messed up orders or wrong orders for sure. The have a place set up outside of their location for customers, but unfortunately the outside tables, and chairs are more dirty than the inside, so inside is better that the outside.They won’t help you if you have questions about your order, so repeat yourself more than three times in order to get what you need;otherwise, you will be forgotten after swiping your credit or debit cards. If you call, then expect a long hold time or false information or if you get lucky, and after a long hold someone will pick up to help you, then don’t be happy because he/she will hung up quickly without resolving the issue.I had the worst experience, and the food that me, and my friends got was extremely nasty, and not fresh at all. Not even that I was charged twice I didn’t know until got a notification from my financial institution, also they didn’t help me get my refund for double charged,so my financial institution helped me out with that problem. I’m not coming back to this location, and won’t recommend them to anyone.😡😡👎👎

They have the NFL Sunday Ticket and good drink specials. The menu is better than the average sports bar with a few semi-healthy options (popcorn sans butter, lettuce wedge salad, and plain pretzel bites are your best healthy vegan options). If you’re a group and plan to grab a table please beware: It does get extremely crowded and packed to the point where you can’t enjoy the game bc either people are bumping into you from the adjacent tables (they pack them way too close together), or the wait staff is constantly in front of you blocking your view of the TV. The menu is hit or miss; they really don’t know how to make proper cauliflower “buffalo wings”; the end result is an overly greasy bland mess. Sandwiches were ok as were the pretzel bites (one of the safest things to eat here). Service is so so depending on who’s assigned to your table

I didn't eat here but this is a great place to watch the games. There are tvs for pretty much every angle. The ambiance is chill. They have a great selection of liquors and some good beer on tap. The service was great. We sat at the bar. All the bartenders checked on us randomly. They are known for their wings. They smelled good. Also the garlic Parmesan fries smelled good too.

They have TVs everywhere you look and great music so if you're there for ambiance and watching sports games, it's the perfect place. If you're there for high quality food, that's not this place. Drinks: Their Micheladas are some of the best I've ever tried and I've even had some in Mexico. The Southern Sour Smash cocktail is strong and a small quantity for $14 but it is SF... The Gameday Gimlet tastes wonderful and slightly floral, likely from the gin. Food: The Brussel sprouts appetizer is amazing: crispy with a sweet soy sauce glaze, sesame seeds, and a side yuzu aioli sauce. Their waffle fries are crispy on every edge and tasty. The chimichurri wings sounded amazing but they were a bit of a let down. The burger was average quality and I wouldn't say I recommend it. The red and gold salad was great because it was a large quantity and nice texture with the farro and cubed beets but the candied pecans felt like regular pecans. I think quinoa would be a great addition to this salad. The vanilla ice cream and brownie dessert was good but nothing you couldn't do at home. I would add another ball of vanilla Hagen Daz ice cream to this since the brownie is quite large. The brownie is very warm which is a nice touch. Service: The service is attentive and timely! They don't even have to write down your order and come often to check in on you for any further orders. The menu is on a QR code at every table. Check this place out to watch sports games for sure!

Friendly and attentive staffs and great atmosphere. As for the food, I found that the frickles, loaded fries were on the saltier side. The Brussels sprouts were good and the burger probably would get again. Chill vibes for happy hour with friends or after work to grab a beer and watch sports tv.

Came here with a buddy of mine who was in town visiting to watch some football so here I am. We sat at the bar and ordered a few expresso martinis. We also shared some nachos. The expresso martinis were pretty good. The nachos were okay, nothing special. The service here was decent. The bartenders here are really cool. The sports bar has a lot of bar seating, table seating, and TVs available. You can also reserve a table in advance which multiple people did for game day. The place can be a bit rowdy on game day but it's expected haha. All in all a decent sports bar with great drinks, and serviceable bar food. Try it out if you like. :)

Went here Saturday for the Golden State Valkyries watch party of the WNBA Al Star Game. Everyone there was so kind. The vibe was great. The food was surprising really good. I ordered chips and guac for the table and it was good. Then I got a black bean burger on a ciabatta roll, with Swiss cheese and fries. All of which was delicious to the last bite. I would gladly come back for another event.

As you enter the bar, you are surrounded by many TV screens and ample seating with friendly staff - menus are available on the QR codes shown on the tables. I ordered a plate of nachos and it was a great amount for two people plus a drink! We felt pretty satisfied after one plate, and will have to try the other menu items next time. I can see how this place can get very busy during a sporting event, or even when they aired the finale of the bachelorette hahah!!

The SFAC was definitely my friend group's bar of choice for the first couple of months when we first moved nearby but has now fizzled out due to the closing of the side beer garden space, high prices, and mid food dishes. I do appreciate having a dedicated sports bar in this area that's open all day and is an okay size (on certain game days, it can be PACKED though). I personally try to avoid it on major game days as best I can but it's alright to watch smaller games. I mostly came for trivia but the clunky reservation system with a high minimum to spend was getting too costly and inconvenient when my friends and I would go almost every week. There is a pool table inside but it's usually always in use. I have been devastated that the side outside area next to Starbucks has closed down as the inside space is just a little too loud, dark, and crowded for me. There is some covered sidewalk tables and they bring out 3 TV's to watch the games, but it's next to the busy intersection of Divisadero & Bush so it's just not that enjoyable for me. The food definitely looks very delicious for bar food but the taste has never amazed me, especially for the price if you don't go at a time with a special deal. My usual go-to starting group order was to get frickles (fried pickles) and a beer pitcher to share. I enjoyed their sports-themed cocktails & usually got the Peach Fuzz and Pimm's Cup. Overall I do appreciate the space and do continue to pop in occasionally with big groups but I would prefer to go to a different space for sports occasions

No matter your team there is a TV for you - went on a football Sunday and it was pretty busy but we were still able to find a spot. They have plenty of individual group tables and communal tables (they have a section of old wooden bleachers in the back to sit at). Overall it's a super cute sports bar. They have a cute list of cocktails that all sounded pretty good, it was cold out so I got a Hot Toddy. The garlic fries had plenty of garlic and came with two dips. The food was typical upscale bar food. The service was good-it seemed that it was table service but it was pretty hard to find our server - so I am not really sure if it would have been better to order at the bar or if that was frowned upon. The infrequent service was the only downside- it was busy and the people were super nice, but if they are doing table service and I'm not supposed to order at the bar it should have been a little easier to find our server.

Great place to kick it. Popular place to catch games after work with the seemingly endless health care staff from ucsf and Kaiser. It can get rowdy and loud at times which is a bonus IMO. What's a sports bar without some tension- shrugs*** The service was really quick and the staff was attentive to customers. 3 stars solely because the food was mid and the beer was really watered down. It reminded me of the days in college with bud-light esq taste. The place is okay and it seems the only reason we come is out of convenience for proximity

Surprise, surprise, it's not actually an athletic club ;) . Good spot to order food, grab a drink by yourself or with people, and/or watch sports. Food is decent, above average with a good menu. Service was okay, not 5-star worthy, but suffice enough, although there was a slightly longer than average wait for food. Pretty good location, but of course, parking can be hit-or-miss. A little dark, didn't feel clean, but still a good spot depending on the company you're with.

The vibes here are so good, it's my favorite place to watch a game. The nachos are so good too! Very stacked with toppings

My friend and I came here to watch a college football game, and the place had great energy while also not being too crowded or loud. We ordered the pretzel bites and the jerk fries, and both were delicious! The jerk seasoning was sooo good, definitely the best fries I've had in sf so far, and the pretzel bites were really soft and well salted. We got Margheritas as well, of course, which did not disappoint, and all of the food arrived quickly.

I absolutely LOVE the SF athletic club. The staff is very attentive. They have multiple types of beer and different drink specials - an ideal place to watch college football or nfl. Note: it can get pretty crazy indoors during major football games, but that's any sports bar. They do have outdoor seating with tvs. The pretzel bites with the dips were pretty savory. Food wise, it is good but a typical sports bar menu. I give this business 5 stars for their top tier staff and service.

Good vibes on game day and fast service despite the place being packed. LOVED the litre drink options to share, fun concept with a Moscow mule that was done really nice. Cauliflower wings were good too. Come early because we came 2 hours before game day with standing room only!

Really disappointed with new menu. A lot less choices and mediocre food. This was a regular lunch spot but no more. Heard same input from a few friends.

This spot is great for watching sport with an abundance of TVs in every direction. The service is almost always great and the place gets pretty packed on big game days. It is a super fun spot. However they changed the menu recently. The veggie burger was one of my favorites in the whole city and the fried pickles were a staple among my friends. So extremely sad to see they aren't there anymore. But I will go back for just the drinks and the vibes!

I visited SFAC for the first time last week. It was a relatively quiet night in the restaurant, but the gentleman behind the bar was friendly and fun to talk to. The restaurant itself is a casual, sports bar atmosphere with lots of places to sit, with a shuffle board and pool table. The bar food hit the spot, I personally enjoyed the SFAC burger most. I would like to come back during a sporting event to see this place in a more lively atmosphere, and I hope to visit again soon!

Not a bad sports bar! They try to optimize the space both inside and outside, but recommend coming early if there's a game going on. You can get a pitcher of beer for around $30 and they have a good variety of bar food. We got the fried pickles, garlic fries and wings. The wings were small and truthfully not worth it. But the fries and pickles were alright! Would come again, but there are some better sports bar in the city.

I really love this place and have been here many times. This is probably the best sports bar in the area. The staffs are friendly and attentive and the food is really good for a sports bar. We like the burger and the hotdog and occasionally we would get the nachos but the portions are huge! Message to management - I really love this bar but please please consider having a rotating beer and or one or two new food items. Highly recommend this place!!

Such a vibe. We came for Game 6 Celtics vs. Heat and it was pretty packed! Didn't know what to expect when I heard we were going to a sports bar, but it was a lot nicer and bigger than I thought it'd be. Screens all around too, so it wasn't hard to watch the game. Pretty large menu with your classic bar food options and a good variety of pitchers available for $30 and less. A server came around to take our orders and stopped by periodically for any additional orders. Garlic fries and chips & dips were yummy, but everything tastes better when you're having fun and not sober.

Quite frankly my favorite spot in all of San Francisco. The food's great and it's nice inside, but what really sets it apart is the warm atmosphere and friendly service. Trivia nights with Erin are a must - just make sure to put a reservation in ahead of time. So glad I found this place, and I am confident that many others feel the same way. Thanks SFAC!!

Great vibes if you get here before the game starts!! Watched the last warriors game here and it was so fun! We sat outside because there wasn't much room inside. It's a bit cold if you're not seated close to the center where the heaters are so get here early! I was so hungry and the food looked so good that these pictures are super low quality. The food overall was super good.

Came for Game 6 of the Warriors vs Kings and this place was packed. You can do a reservation however I believe there's a spend amount on the tables (not sure). A server came by to take our orders and would drop by frequently to see if we wanted to add to the order. If service is a little slow, you can also go up to the bar to order your drinks for the table. Ambiance...is exactly what you would think in terms of an athletic club. Lots of dark wood tones. Bathroom is in a small hallway to the left towards the back. Ordered fries and two cokes. Can't really say too much about the food since I didn't feel like ordering anything. Fries were crispy and came with ketchup.

This is a fun place to watch a football game especially when the San Francisco 49ers are playing . Great service and good drinks and food. The atmosphere for a 49ers game is exciting.

Service was terrible. Our server obviously didn't want to work her shift or was over it. Seemed like the bar was celebrating something for the employees in the back. They were eating and all in the back at the same time. Food was fine, regular bar fare.

Ouch- not sure what happened in the last two weeks- new menu- horrible choices- and quality went down the drain- it was a cheat meal for me and wasted my calories on a horrible meal. Work down the street, and used to frequent often with co-workers for a meal on lunch- won't be returning. Bring back the sliders and the fries! It was my guilt pleasure. :(

Food and service was great. Was there for the ufc and canelo fight, it was pretty full but our server was friendly and attentive.

Tried this place out because I had noticed it in passing. Decided to check it out on ig. Saw a great spot and wanted to watch Monday night football tonight ( as I'm writing this review- 9/9/24), and upon arrival everyone was friendly. Got a good spot. Food was good. But upon the game starting , they funneled in loud music. Then as the 49er game started, the volume increase quite a bit. Borderline uncomfortable. Then after halftime, the volume got blown far higher than before! It was immensely uncomfortable, so I went to ask if they could turn it down. They said "we have to keep it this loud", and I mentioned it actually got louder after half time. They didn't care. Now after leaving before the end of the game, I'm having relatively bad headaches due to the uncomfortably loud volume from the bar. Sadly I'm definitely not going back. My head is still hurting and I don't think customers should have to be put in harms way. It's senseless.

Five stars for their Tuesday night trivia- it is super fun and always packed. They'll often have it in their outdoor seating area which has heaters and a really fun vibe under a canopy. They also have great bar food- highly recommend the frickles and the buffalo cauliflower.

Great ambiance for watching games. Watched the team USA gold medal game there and the crowd was electric. Also great service and solid bar food.

Some girl eavesdropped on my conversation and told me she didn't like what I said to a Lion's fan and I need to calm down. Mind you this is the Lions vs 49ers game (NFC championship game) at a SPORTS BAR. continued to tell anyone who would listen how she knew the bartender and she can expedite their drinks. Openly talked shit about me to the bartender she knew (Alexis Vo per the receipt) and embellished the story enough that for the rest of the night that bartender cut us off. Way to let an entitled bratty patron call the shots.

Bad service, Bad food, and okay drinks. Two women waitresses gave us dirty looks when we came in and waited 20 minutes to serve us (not LGBTQ friendly bar). I got the carnitas breakfast burrito and it was too many potatoes. My partner got chicken wings and the meat was too dry. The homemade hot sauce was good. The Irish coffee was fine. The coffee was fine. If you only plan to drink, come here. If you plan to watch sports and eat, go to Hi Tops.

What a joke. Last time we came here to watch a game our game was turned off and we were asked to move because it was "Bachelor Night" - that's right - ABC's The Bachelor. Tonight we arrived for a second shot to try to watch the Warriors/Kings matchup for the end of the first round of the in season tournament. The sound was not on in favor of the trivia night. Why call yourself the Athletic Club if you don't favor sports? Hard pass.

Came here last night for the first time on game day. It was packed ! We couldn't sit until the game was over. We ordered Moscow mules and they were strong!! Wasn't expecting that but not complaining. I liked the food here! We got three fish tacos, crispy cauliflower and the fried pickles or "Zach's frickles". I really enjoyed the food, it was my first time trying fried pickles, and I'm in love!

Came here for lunch and although it's not stated on the menu, they do have a lunch deal for a 1/2 sandwich + fries. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The Athletic Club: grilled chicken, avocado + BLT. Even half a sandwich was pretty hearty and sandwich tasted just like the description. Fries were also decent. Overall, wouldn't mind coming here for a quick bite for lunch or to watch a game. Just don't expect a gourmet experience.

SF Athletic Club is a pretty fun spot, although it has a bit of a "fratty" feel to it. The food is not great, the drinks are decent, and the service is OK (although they are usually stretched pretty thin). The other patrons that frequent the Athletic Club are generally well-behaved, although there have been a few instances where guys were getting way too drunk and acting foolish. Overall, I'd recommend checking out the Athletic Club if you want to grab a beer and watch a football game. Be prepared to experience a bit of a college / frat house vibe, and it may be crowded and difficult to find a table.

Great sports bar in the heart of the city. This place never fails to disappoint whether it be the excellent food options, fair drink prices, or accommodating staff. Shout out to Neil for always taking care of his customers, whether they are regulars or not

Stopped by today for a late lunch around 2. Place was packed due to March Madness, but seats could be found here and there both indoors and outside. Menus are available via QR. When asked about the difference between a cup a bowl, the server mentioned two cups being in a bowl. Anyhow -- the cup of chili was quite filling on its own though still had some room to steal some nachos from a friend. Nachos are huge -- harder to share than you'd think so ask for forks and maybe some extra plates too.

Pretty cool spot to go and watch sports at. Came for Thursday Night Football and sat in their lovely tented outside patio. Great service all around and the food was pretty good. Really enjoyed the French fries, the fried pickles, and their Chicago style Hot Dog. Quite a variety of drinks to choose and an overall great place to get together with your friends.

Friendly staff, clean, fun atmosphere, great drinks and tasty food!! Safe area too. Will be back!

Visited on Friday for happy hour and college basketball games and had a great time. The happy hour is really good! I was by myself and sat at the bar and it was a great vibe. I'll definitely be back

Service was stellar but we ordered wings and they were the tiniest, least meaty wings ive ever seen. Comparable to the size of a pinky. Love the place but genuinely disappointed

I love love the wings here! They are always on point. Even better, the service is great even on busy nights. Everyone is always asking if anything else is needed. They have a shuffle board and televisions everywhere. Catching a game here is the best!

This place was unfortunately very underwhelming. We purchased tickets to reserve a dinner table for the comedy show. Since indoor dining is open now we figured it would be indoors, but were mistaken. They actually have a pretty nice outdoor seating area but the weather was one of the coldest nights we've had in San Francisco in a while and SO windy! We were both wearing pants and coats and were freezing. The heaters they had were not at all effective compared to most of the other businesses who have heaters and offer outdoor seating. We told the waitress we were freezing and she got pretty snippy, and said we should have known that the comedy show was outside because they "always have the comedy show outside," and said we could leave but made no offer to refund our tickets or offer any sort of solution. We decided to stay since we paid $50 for the table. The food was absolutely terrible and incredibly expensive for what they gave us. I got a chicken sandwich and asked for lettuce to replace the bread. It was basically grilled chicken slapped between two wilted pieces of lettuce and a tiny piece of avocado the size of my thumbnail. There was no sauce on the sandwich. They brought the food out and then we had to wait 20 minutes for silverware while the food got cold. My boyfriend's food was dry and he didn't eat most of it. Very disappointed because the check was over $120-that's on top of the ticket price of $50 for the table. Comedians were great so I gave two stars. We will definitely not be back. Worst dining experience I've had in San Francisco in a while.

Good food - beer - service - and general ambiance. Centrally located on divisadero - you can pop in here for a few beers and a warriors game either solo or w friends. Either way, the charm of this place is that it's down to earth and you can easily chat up the friendly waitstaff at the bar area. Bonus: bingo on Wednesdays - cheers
