"The San Francisco Dungeon, located near Pier 39, is a tourist attraction offering a haunted house experience with regional tweaks. Currently, it features a three-day pop-up Rat Bar where visitors can interact with rats and enjoy themed cocktails like the "Ama-RAT-o Sour." The regular tour costs $49.99 including the Rat Bar experience, while a standard tour is $20. The venue is adorned with skull mugs, t-shirts, and sawdust for atmosphere, and the pop-up runs from June 13-15 from 7 p.m.-10 p.m." - Camper English

"The Rat Bar, a three-day pop-up event from June 13 to 15, is held at the permanent Fisherman’s Wharf haunted house known as the San Francisco Dungeon. It features a cocktail, a dungeon tour, and a separate rat-petting session with rats from Ratical Rodent Rescue. Customers pay $50 for the experience and have access to an upstairs cash bar." - Caleb Pershan

Very interactive and a great experience! Fantastic storyline and it was pretty entertaining! It's a great deal to buy the dungeon and madam tussauds wax museum. Haven't been there for years, but to my surprise, it's interactive now where you can use provided props for fun pictures

Great attraction with plenty of action during the walking tour which includes various historical aspects of San Francisco history while participating in a hands on environment. It's definitely worth the hour or so of time and you will be intrigued and scared. You've been warned!

Quite a fun place. The gentleman at the entrance out up a nice display while dancing with our friends on the street. Would be quite scary for the kids. The theme is spooky too. Nice place to hangout during the weekend.

Awesome place, great actors and actresses. Funny and intense. Friendly staffs. Ride is not as expected was a little short of a drop. But for an in building ride I would say they did a good job on this place!

This was a FUN experience to learn about the city in an interactive setting. Great for Adults and kids 10 and up. Lights go off, there are loud noises, jump scares, and actors yelling at you and singling you out in the crowd to answer the questions. Actors do not break character. They do a very good job. There is a small simulated boat ride, and a simulated 3 story fall. At the very end. The actor will not break character, however know that the fall at the end is OPTIONAL. Once they line you up for the fall ride, they say some of you may be eligible for early parole. If you are epileptic, have heart problems, or are overweight please step forward. At that time, if you wish to not ride the 3 story fall, then just step forward for early parole, and they will send you through to the gift shop. The rest of your party will appear in the gift shop about 5 minutes later.

This is a great interactive experience with amazing actors and really nice historical stories mixed in. It was kind of a bummer that you can't take any pictures at any time during the tour thingy but the experience itself was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who wanted to come to San Francisco

I came here after being lured in by the gigantic poster they had on a billboard in SF near fisherman’s wharf. I was so confused what the actual experience would be since they boasted a drop tower and a boat ride and lots of scares, but I decided to go for it anyways. Needless to say, I was actually so entertained during the one hour I had in the dungeon! It was a clever mix of Jumpscares and masterfully weaved in adult jokes but also had a good amount of audience participation! People would be singled out and made to be fake killed or forced to walk by themselves and were made fun of. I was almost singled out when an actor came up right to my face but thank goodness she disappeared when the lights came on. Anyways, the drop wasn’t as scary as I thought but the highlight was definitely the little performances the actors gave and the almost terrifyingly real fear I felt after they delivered their bone chilling performances. Would take my friends here!

I loved the experience, the actors were terrific, the effects were one of the best that I have experienced. You would be immersed in the act from start to end. Do check out their store, it has some good things.
