A really great spot to get a drink or three if you're in the area. Actually, even if you're not in the area, you should go by. We stopped by here for a pre-dinner drink, and I was able to try a couple happy hour drinks since their happy houris is offered daily from 5-8 PM. And again from 1-3 AM. That tells you that not only is it a good spot for the earlier evening, but it will be there for you for that late evening.
They have a handful of classic cocktails on their happy hour menu for $10 each. I tried a daiquiri and honestly think it may be one of the best ones that I've had. This is coming from someone who actually learned how to make a classic daiquiri during the pandemic. If I can't make as good as this one myself, I might as well get it here. The daiquiri was fresh and flavorful without being overly sweetened.
I was also able to get an old-fashioned before we had to leave. It is carefully and solidly made, despite the use of a well bourbon. The use of a clear ice cube always commands my respect.
The whole place is quite small, with four or five hightop tables surrounding the bar. We ducked in after dinner and found it was pretty packed, mainly because it doesn't take a lot of people to get it full. You will get a mix of visitors from out of town and some locals, but the local feel is definitely there. The finished wood decor and soft lighting, along with an ever-changing playlist of different genres (maybe chill beats earlier, hip hop later in the night) make for a comfortable place to get a drink, no matter what kind of night you want to have.
Kenny the bar manager is well-versed in his cocktails and was pleasant to chat with as he served up our drinks. If you go by, and I hope you do, say hi to him for me!
