The Scott at Brush Park - Luxury Apartments in Detroit

My family love living at The Scott. The staff here are incredible and always available to help whenever we need. A special shoutout to Brad, from the maintenance team, who is absolutely fantastic. He is always quick to respond whenever something needs attention, and he is extremely thoughtful — he always times his work around our son’s nap schedule without us even having to ask. We feel genuinely well taken care of here and couldn’t recommend this building more highly!

The Scott has the most wonderful security guard, Alicia, looking after our building. She makes the whole building feel like a safe and welcoming community. Our son absolutely adores her, and even our puppy gets excited every time he sees her! She has such a warm and caring presence. This building is lucky to have her!

I wanted to leave a note of appreciation for De’Tonio Sampson. Even though he knew I might not be able to lease at The Scott, he still gave me one of the most thoughtful and thorough tours I’ve ever had. He walked me through every detail with patience, clarity, and genuine care, and I felt truly respected and well taken‐care of throughout the visit. His professionalism stands out, but so does the warmth and integrity in the way he works. I’m grateful for the time and effort he put into showing me the building and answering all my questions. He made a strong and positive impression.

Beautiful building in a perfect location. An interesting scenario brought me to The Scott - I had a package was accidentally delivered here. Austin and the young lady at the desk immediately helped me out and were very gracious and accommodating. Had a great experience touring the Scott with De'Tonio. He was very professional and answered all my numerous questions thoroughly. He took the time to show multiple units, take measurements, and show all the beautiful community areas/amenities. He followed up with all the information quickly via email. Overall, great experience!

Lived here for two years and couldn’t have been happier! Austin Cooke and the rest of the Scott team and security guards were amazing and always attentive. The pool area and gym were always clean and I used both a lot. A great place to live!

My garbage disposal starting leaking on a sunday. Within 24 hours Brad from the team here got it replaced. Super simple and professional, highly recommended

I had the worst and most unprofessional experience with The Scott at Brush Park. I was assured that the staff was prepared for me to move in on September 1, 2024. Upon my arrival, there was no property management staff on site to welcome me or provide instructions for the move in process. There was a security guard on duty who informed me that she would assist me with accessing the apartment because the staff was on vacation. I was provided an envelope with my name on it and an apartment number that didn’t match my lease. We went to two apartments trying to use the key provided with no success. We were unable to access the apartment, and I was extremely frustrated. The security guard eventually secured a master key to open the unit I was told I’d be leasing. I was placed in an ADA/Handicap unit and was never informed. The unit was not cleaned or prepared for my arrival: 1. Floors were dirty - unswept or unmopped 2. Carpet in the bedroom has stains and smells 3. Clothing racks in the closet weren’t property affixed 4. Stains on the shelves in the bathroom 5. Vertical blinds broken 6. Refrigerator was pulled out and unplugged. I plugged it in and it does not get cold even after 24 hours. 7. Garbage disposal is exposed. 8. Uneven floors 9. Weird smell coming off of the elevator on the 5th floor UPDATE: While the above was my initial experience, I want share that the property management company did work with me to identify another home within the property and took additional steps to “do the right thing.” I’m hoping my experience continues to improve.

Constant beeping of alarms, broken amenities. Garbage piles up - the hallways stink. Dog park is covered in trash. Homeless individuals living in the parking lot accumulating in number and leaving trash behind.

I've only been here a few months and really like it. staff is great and courteous. the lounge area really helps out especially with all the cabin fever days we've had lately. watch tv, play shuffle board or shoot pool. 24 hour outdoor hot tub and I can't wait til the summer for the pool and patio! plus room service from the Empire restaurant down stairs. and don't forget yoga on Saturdays and special events that are constantly being scheduled!!

The leasing office is run worse than the city of Detroit was for the past 20 years. The pool and community is great, rooms are pretty average nothing special.
