Visiting from St.Louis, we made this our first stop. The restaurant had just opened at 12pm and on time I might add! However, when we asked for dine-in, the cashier had to find and ask the manager if it was ok for us to be seated because we didn’t have a reservation. We did look at the website before coming and it does not say anywhere that a reservation was needed. When the manager came, we were seated! Yayyy!!! The restaurant is very nice. Décor was bright and seating was very comfortable. Our waitress Dishauna was super friendly and very informative. She suggested her favorite sauces for our meal. We wanted to order drinks from the bar but she told us that the bar was completely sold out because of the busy opening 5 days ago. (I’m surprised that they didn’t have another liquor delivery knowing how busy the restaurant was going to be) We then ordered slushies, of the five options, only two were available, changing our choices. The drinks came in plastic slushy cups which in my opinion, looking at the restaurant ambiance, should be served in the same glasses the water was in. However, they were fruity and delicious. My daughter and I do not eat meat or seafood but really wanted to support Lil Baby so we only ordered fries, potatoes and corn with the sauce our waitress recommended. My sister ordered the shrimp with corn and potatoes. All three meals arrived to the table on plates, luke warn, juicy and bland. We had to ask for glove and the bib. We probably should have complained and addressed it there but I don’t like to send food back so we didn’t…. Once we cut the potatoes open and put the sauce on them and the corn, it was much better. I don’t go to seafood restaurants but was told that it should’ve been served in bags and maybe that’s why the seasoning hadn’t soaked into the food. We got to-go containers and brought it all back to the hotel where it taste much better the next morning. The fries were hot and deliciously seasoned.
The restroom was out of order and we were told by the waitress that we could go to the building next door. There was unclean rap music playing when we first arrived which we didn’t personally mind but there were also kids and a few older customers that they should have cleaned it up for. Someone from the back noticed it about 20 minutes into our visit and let them know to change it. The change was some nice RnB.
Overall experience was just ok, I will continue to read reviews and hope to return on my next visit to ATL.
