The 29 Best Restaurants In The Hamptons 2024

"At first glance, this old-school fish market may not look like one of the Hamptons’ most beloved restaurants, but step inside the tiny grocer and head to the back for a pretty unique dining experience. Go for the made-to-order combo seafood platter with fried scallops, shrimp, and white fish, and add cocktail sauce on the side. Prices are reasonable for the generous portions—a heaping takeout container of hot fish goes for about $20—and the small outdoor patio is perfect for eating on-site. Otherwise, take your picnic to a nearby beach (Wainscott Beach is a five-minute drive). Rumor has it, Ina G herself buys her fish at this Wainscott shop, but she has yet to text us back to confirm." - melissa kravitz hoeffner, team infatuation

The 10 Best Lobster Rolls In The Hamptons

"One of our favorite restaurants in the Hamptons, this iconic seafood shack is a summer must. Along with some dry goods, tons of fresh seafood, and prepared meals, The Seafood Shop has a takeout counter in the back where you’ll very much want to order the lobster roll stuffed with a generous portion of lobster salad on a potato roll. Tossed with crisp celery and diced red onion, the meat is lush but cut into bite-sized pieces, so it’s easy to scarf down on the go. " - melissa kravitz hoeffner, team infatuation

Favorite seafood place when I lived on Long Island. Their smoked Bluefish is top notch. I would get quarts of shucked quahog clams. The hen my mom would make Ceviche. Used get cull lobsters also.

The Seafood Shop is signature and famous for its super fresh ingredients. The exterior decor is humble with simple white and blue colors. During COVID-19, they only allowed 4 customers to shop at one time so there might be a line outside but the wait wasn’t too bad. There was a great variety of options from ingredients, uncooked food, prepared food and delicious dishes with reasonable prices. We bought one pound of shrimp & clam and it was amazingly delicious.

Always wanted to stop here and finally had the time! Had some of their Sea Scallop Chowder and it was delicious! Good size portion with lots of big scallop pieces- will definitely go back

Great little place where you can get fish and seafood to take home and prrpare or you can buy lunch or dinner to eat. All the seafood here is fresh. The prepared foods are all good as well. I had a crab cake sandwich and a Red Thai curry seafood soup for lunch one day. The crab cake had lots of crab in it. The seafood soup was outstanding!!! Went back the next day and got a New England clam chowder and a crab empanada. The empanada was really good, never had an empanada with crab in it but it worked really well. The New England ckam chowder was on point. Really great place. Would definitely come back here whenever I am back in the area.

Great place with tons of local seafood and delicious sandwiches and entrées. Very helpful and food was served fast. Loved the lobster roll.

Google
Got the grilled tuna steak meal. Really good and fresh. Cooked the way I wanted it. They only limit 4 people in at a time which was good so either stand outside or wait in your car. Only thing which Google reviews also mention about sanitary issues- one woman worker - while I was waiting in car- she had her face mask under her nose while she was handling food. Not cool & unsanitary. That’s why it got 4 * vs

Yelp
The Seafood Shop is a very small shop (only 10 minutes away from Wolffer Estate Vineyard), offering THE BESTTTTT OYSTERS we've everrrrr tasted in a long while! We got half a dozen of their Peconic Bay Oysters for $18. EVERYYYY SINGLE DOLLAR WAS SO WORTH IT! OMG! You guys! Y'all won't understand until y'all try it! We ate the oysters in the car, parked in their driveway! OMG! NEVERRRR had we tasted any oysters thissss oceanly-sweet! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! P.S. My husband saw the server threw out some oysters because they didn't look so good. Then he opened up some moreeee to make sure they were all fresh before packing them into our box! Forever grateful because thisssssssss was one of the biggest highlights during our trip in Long Island! It's a must visit evennnnn if you only have a stomach for a few oysters and clams! Hope to return soon!

Yelp
On our little sojourn to the Hamptons with so many places still shut down for the last of winter, we were fortunate enough to have this place open and available for us to get lunch. Good thing cuz I REALLY wanted to get a lobster roll from HERE !! I had bookmarked it, read the rave reviews, not only from Yelp, but this place is well known and well regarded, and all things pointed to us going HERE for lunch. Naturally, we got lobster rolls, and they were DELICIOUS. A huuuuuge amount of wonderful, tasty lobster, and at $26 a roll, I'm so glad they stuffed it with more than enough lobster. It also came with tasty cole slaw AND French fries. It was a FABULOUS and plentiful lunch!!! This place lives up to the hype. I thought it was just a little place for lobster rolls, but it's really a shop that carries all kinds of fish.... fresh fish, salads, and other things. I would come back here in a heartbeat. I'm just sad that Levain Bakery, 2 doors down, was closed the day we were here. That would have been perfect to have both on the same trip. But I digress..... cuz this Seafood Shop ROCKS !!!

Jessica L.

Yelp
Ok food but do not go here if you don't want to run the risk of a very poor experience waiting for your food. Our 2-person order took 50 minutes. Given many other customers got food during this time, they clearly forgot our food for a while. And yet upon a couple politely worded check ins, they continued to assure that food was being prepared and the man behind the counter showed complete disregard for the fact that we waited for so long. As someone in the service industry myself, I would have tried to provide more transparency and apologized for the egregious oversight and poor experience the customer that was waiting politely was having. As a cherry on top, despite having suggested that I order tacos bc they're so good and don't have cilantro on them (because I cannot eat cilantro), they brought out the tacos covered in cilantro. They did offer an alternative wrap to go to make up for this, which was appreciated, but it did exacerbate our lunch experience especially having waited nearly an hour food that I could barely eat. I'm leaving two stars instead of one because the lady behind the counter and the girls working at the register were sweet and kind. We were very excited for our lunch here and had gone out of our way to eat here and were extremely disappointed. I hope our experience is the exception not the norm.

Tallulah S.

Yelp
Well, this was our last time here sadly. The soups r too salty. The wraps r pretty good. We had paella and it was lackluster at best. Nothing tastes as good as it used to and it used to be terrific. Like everywhere, the prices are out of control but mainly considering who is behind the counter, u would think a Tamale would be done well but not even close. It was nothing but one small slice of pork! Nothing else but corn mush. See photo. So much for my husband's dinner. Sad.

Yelp
Whenever hubs and I visit coastal towns, I make it my goal to find Lobster Rolls. Not any mayo-drenched Rolls....only buttered Lobsters Rolls. Seafood Shop came up not far from Sagaponack. Exterior has all the tell-tale signs of finger-licking, buttered Lobster Roll joint, seafood shack-ish, etc. Ummm...no. I may have skipped the fine print on their Lobster Roll ingredients, I phone-ordered one just in case, mixed green salad and a tray full of steamers (tasty- but small in size) and an orange soda. I noticed when one of the employees was prepping a Lobster Roll and asked if that's the only option and she nodded her head with a yes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I could've just said to her, "I'm sorry- but I'll leave mine behind"- and wouldn't have been an issue. But hubs was more accepting in trying out the $22.95 mayo Lobster roll....not I. On top of that, the bread itself didn't look like a typical potato roll either. Aside from the prepared seafood mayo salads, there's Ceviche, Shrimp Empanadas, Broiled Salmon and a few other things- plus their seafood market is towards the back. Sat at their picnic table and hubs didn't like the mayo drenched lobster roll- as I thought but steamers were good. Everything looked fresh. Damage? $62 and change. Worth it? No. Steamers were tiny and if having your lobster roll mixed with mayonnaise is your idea of "delicious" and you offer no other option- go ahead.

Yelp
Love this place !! Great soups and food. Always a pleasure to stop here on the way out to Montauk.

Yelp
Wonderful seafood shop with lots of fresh, local options. The bay scallops are delicious! For the prepared foods, I enjoyed the bacalao and lobster croquettes. Service is friendly and they're limiting the number of people in the shop at once during the pandemic. It's pricy, but you can save a little by paying with cash. Limited parking.

Yelp
So, I've been working in the area on weekends. Decided to stop by this place because I saw a line outside waiting to order. Anyway, I ordered the flounder sandwich. I gave my name and paid for it as I was waiting. The girl at the register called me and packed my food. So I took it and drove to where I was staying/working and only then realized I was given the wrong order. She gave me an order with for someone with my same name. It was 2 salmon burgers. I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted my flounder sandwich. Anyway, I ended up giving a sandwich to a co-worker. The salmon burger was really good. The one I kept had rice and slaw. It was very flavorful and seasoned nicely. My work is about 15mins away from their location otherwise I would of gone back. Still I enjoyed the sandwich even though it's not what I wanted... I'd get it again. Hopefully, next week I'll have time and get the other sandwich. Guess some mistakes are meant to happen :)

Yelp
This is a solid seafood shop. I've gotten raw fish here that I cooked, and it was of very good quality, tasted great, and seemed pretty fresh. I came back today to try some of their prepared foods, and while it was good, it was nothing outstanding. I tried the caesar salad with seared tuna. The tuna quality was good, but I wasn't a fan of the seasoning that they put on it - it was like a breaded on spice mixture. The salad overall was pretty decent. I also tried a vegetable spring roll which was soggy and not crisp and had okay flavor, but I won't be getting it again. Overall, there are some good options here. UPDATE: I went back here for lunch and got the salmon burger. I was really impressed by it. It was massive and had great flavor. It was served with a sort of yogurt dill sauce on the side which was a great complement. There were also fries (pretty good) and coleslaw on the side.

Yelp
I've enjoyed your tuna half wraps for years but it seems that they've changed recently, there's much less tuna now and also they've become a little sweet. Please return to the old recipe, they were perfect, thanks.

Yelp
I love going to hole in the wall places and this one did not disappoint. Read the reviews on Yelp and very positive. We drove up and there was parking. Inside, you can either order raw to go or they can cook on the spot for you and there are a few benches and high tables to sit outside. I got the fried cod fish tacos which came in two with a side of my choosing (Spanish rice) with another default of coleslaw. The tacos were wonderful and fish tasted fresh. My wife got the seared scallops while my son ordered the fish and chips. All of them came with coleslaw as a default side and one more of your picking. The pictures speak for themselves and I definitely recommend this place. They also have soups which my son tried white clam chowder and liked. Will recommend for anyone who is visiting Montauk. The folks working there are superb and very friendly.

Sue S.

Yelp
Always excellent! Especially the tuna and the soups. Bay scallops when in season. Friendly staff.

CM K.

Yelp
We came here on the Monday after Thanksgiving. We were on the way to Montauk. First time in over three years. We usually stop here because we come later in the day and don't want to start shopping when we get to Montauk. Today we decided to get clam chowder too. The chowder in the past has been good, not great Usually, the my main complaint with the take out chowder is that it's not really hot. This time is was piping hot. Yippee! We continued on our drive to Montauk. I opened the lid and the smell hit me right away. Oh no... Needless to stay a few miles away we tossed it. I sent an email to their website. Perhaps they didn't receive it? In any case, one bad clam can spoil a soup. The clams we bought for the clam sauce were good. I hated writing this review.

Yelp
In Sag Harbor for the weekend and was craving lobster rolls. These were so delicious. Lobster was fresh and just the right amount of dressing. Only wish they had toasted the bun! So many other available seafood options here. Highly recommend !

Yelp
This seafood market/ready to order take-out spot is fantastic. Everything looks super fresh, its busy, has a ton of staff, lots going on. Seafood is moving in and out of here for sure. They know what they're doing. Stopped for a lobster roll and some seafood salads which were all good, but wish I could go back for some fresh seafood!

Yelp
Spectacular Seafood...Exceptional Staff...Tremendous Value!!! The Seafood Shop is a MUST for those who live in the Hamptons (although you probably know this already) and especially those like us who visit the Hamptons periodically and want to get the highest quality meal for a tremendous value served up by a super accommodating staff! There honestly isn't the need to go out to fancy restaurants because The Seafood Shop prepares out of this world made to order meals that are both plentiful but most importantly SUPER DELICIOUS! We had grilled Halibut with two sides the past two days that was cooked to perfection! Our compliments to the chef as it was honestly THE BEST Halibut we have EVER had...light and white and flaky delectable! Onion rings, waffle cut fries(extra crispy) and grilled veggies as the sides garnished with lettuce leaf, huge tomato slice and a wedge of lemon...we couldn't finish it all as the halibut portion and sides were so plentiful! And what's incredible is that for two meals it costs only $47 including tax! We challenge anyone to find this kind of quality and value anywhere! Thanks to owner Colin and our new friend, Andrew, who made sure our orders were perfect we will continue to plan our meals around The Seafood Shop each and every day we are in the Hamptons. Once you try it we're sure you will agree. Bon Appetit!

Yelp
I love this lobster bisque soup!!!! The soup is the BEST EVER!!!!!! Please sell it by online!!!!
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
My family and I happened upon this place one rainy day and it is the happiest coincidence ever. If you're a lobster bisque fan you NEED to go here. Their lobster bisque is not too rich but flavorful and has full chunks of fresh lobster in it. The lobster roll was amazing, their chicken sandwich was amazing, waffle fries were amazing... everything was amazing. I love this place. It is a must-visit on your way IN and OUT of Montauk and the surrounding areas.

Yelp
I have been meaning to write this for almost 2 years! If I could give more stars, I would. We rented a house in Sagaponack for our small family wedding in October 2020. We had originally gone with a private chef but it ultimately did not work out/wasn't what we wanted. A few short weeks before the wedding, we were scrambling a bit to find someone. By miracle, we stumbled upon the Seafood Shop and it was the best decision we could have made. Not only did they save us pretty last minute, but it was easy and not stressful at all. Alex Fausto came the day before our wedding to check out the house and to make sure everything was organized/we had everything we needed - he wanted to make sure it was perfect. The day of our wedding, Alex and his team came on time, prepared and were absolutely wonderful. The private chef we were originally going to use had told me that there wouldn't be time for us to go to the beach to take our sunset photos (something I really wanted!). Alex was the complete opposite - he told me he would work around whatever we wanted. Alex is extremely warm, always has a smile on his face and was so easy to work with. Alex and his team made our wedding so special and last but not least, the food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. We still talk about how amazing everything was and we go back to the Seafood Shop every summer now!

Yelp
Wandered in after hitting up Levain Bakery. Thought they had a ton of different types of seafood & choices but heavily overpriced!! The service wasn't overly friendly. Decided on trying a Duck Quesadilla & a Lobster Empanada, 2 things I've definitely never had before! Wanted them heated...was super disappointed when I saw a worker pop my order into the microwave and nuke the mess out of them! I absolutely hate microwaved goods. As for the taste- the Duck Quesadilla didn't live up to my expectations. It tasted very much like a standard quesadilla, the cheese overpowered the duck. I really enjoyed the Lobster Empanada! The Empanada Dough probably wasn't Homemade but had a nice amount of lobster stuffed in it. Unfortunately corn was also stuffed into the Empanada which I would have rather done without. Overall I am glad that I tried both items and would probably get another Empanada from this place if I ever wander into Wainscott.

Robin L.

Yelp
We ordered a takeout order of 2 lb lobsters and asked for them to be steamed and cracked. The lobsters were perfectly prepared and tasted like they were out of this world. The worlds magical and heavenly come to mind. Best lobsters that I've ever eaten. We will happily come back again and again.
google avatar

Taylor B.

Yelp
Seafood Shop is one of those rare places that does everything that they do perfectly - both the prepared and raw food are of the highest quality, the selection is surprisingly good for a tiny store and the lobster salad roll with onion rings is quite possibly the meal I would request if I were to find myself in a position where I needed to choose my last meal! Yes, it's that good, and everyone who works there is incredibly nice to boot. Get's very busy around lunchtime, so come a little before or after the rush. Keep doing what you're doing!

Margot V.

Yelp
9/17/2020 nasty service Today I Ordered a lobster roll which was very good although skimpy. The woman preparing the lobster roll never used gloves, for me or customer before me. When I commented to her about gloves she ignored me and the man at register said "she did wear them and You didn't wear gloves to hand me your credit card Go home and quarantine yourself" Very rude, nasty poor attitude by staff and unclean service.
google avatar

John W.

Yelp
This tiny seafood shop (as the name suggests) is a roadside hole in the wall, but worth a visit for all of your raw seafood needs and more importantly great lobster rolls. After grabbing a lobster roll, you can top it off with some amazing cookies from Levain Bakery next door.
google avatar

Mileen Z.

Yelp
The seafood shop has quickly become our favorite go to spot in the Hamptons! They have the best selection of fresh seafood and to go menu. Favorites include the clam chowder and lobster rolls!
google avatar

Jodi R.

Yelp
This was the most disappointing lobster roll. It was $19 and came with lobster salad on a bun. The bun was straight out of a refrigerator- somewhat moist and cold. There was not toasting of the bun or butter or side of chips or fries. It was served in a plastic bag. The lobster salad Israel's was decent but better off buying by the lb on the salad. Skip the roll.
google avatar

Stacey A.

Yelp
Excellent selection of seafood for take out and to make at home. We had the fresh local tuna and stripe bass. The stripe bass was flaky and tender after we grilled it!
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
I always pass by here when I drive out to the Hamptons/Montauk. Finally decided to stop by one day for lunch with a couple of gal friends. They have daily lunch/dinner specials so that's what we went with. The food comes freshly prepared, in a good portion, and packed in styrofoam boxes. The meal comes with a salad, specialty sauce, and a side of rice/fries/onion rings, about $9-15 depending on what seafood you choose. We had the herb crusted filet of cod, fried filet of cod, and the sauteed rock shrimp. Everything was super fresh, you definitely get what you paid for. The favorite was the fried cod. The meat was flakey, tender, and moist...great with the side of tartar sauce. The herb crusted cod is a bit overcooked (just a bit dry), as well as the rock shrimp (a bit chewy), but overall well seasoned and tasty. Besides the meals to go, they have a fresh seafood counter and another with prepared salads and spreads. There are soups of the day, as well as some market produce and a grocery section. Definitely a nice place to stop by to pick up some to-go meals to bring to the beach or sit outside at the picnic tables they've set up next to the storefront. They also offer some great deals on live lobsters/crabs, buy some and bring a little of the Hamptons home with you.
google avatar

Dan W.

Yelp
I know this is the place to come for the best selection and freshest seafood on the South Fork! Also takeout and prepared lunches to go. The other day I was picking up lunches for my colleagues at work, as I was waiting for them to put everything together I ordered a small ( coffee cup ) of Lobster Bisque! OMG! Usually have this when I'm on vacation on the Cape or New Orleans or Maryland shore but this was spectacular! Not only the best Bisque but the best soup I've ever had! Large chunks of lobster ( knuckle, claw and tail), a touch of cream and hint of sherry! I went back a few days later to see if possibly I had just hit them on a good day, no way, just as good! Very special, my compliments to the chef!!!

Sean M.

Yelp
Literally the best lobster bisque I've ever had in my life. Huge chunks of lobster, great flavors and reasonably priced. They also have great lobster rolls and lobster salad wraps(also highly recommend). I would recommend stopping in here anytime you are leaving Montauk or the Hamptons... definitely worth it. If you really want to treat yourself there is a Levaines bakery right next door for desert
google avatar

William S.

Yelp
The Seafood shop is my favorite store in the area. They have unbelievable food that you can order or get from the cold bar by the registers. A hidden gem here is the dumplings. They usually always have a variety of seafood dumplings for $2 a piece which are a perfect snack. Another hidden gem is the seared tuna sesame noodle wraps, for only $7.50. If you need fresh seafood to cook at home, they have everything. Located right next to Levain and a bagel shop, don't pass on the Seafood Shop!
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
There are a number of options for seafood in the east hampton area but I always take the ride to the seafood shop..The pricing is fair abd have interesting items like seafood salad wraps. The quality and selection is very consistent. They are very customer friendly and a pleasure to do business with.
google avatar

Teresa M.

Yelp
Very good very fresh seafood. Stopped for lunch and enjoyed oysters, lobster roll, and salad with salmon on top. Outdoor seating is nice and convenient. Service could be a little more friendly but they do let you sample the soups and salads which was nice.
google avatar

Jeb S.

Yelp
This place is great. We've been going for generations. It's crowded because it's popular but they move quickly and are very courteous and willing to teach about their various options. They have. A great fresh selection and they have a number of compliments (corn, dessert etc.) which can reduce the need to shop elsewhere. Colin, the owner is a really kind guy.
google avatar

Derek V.

Yelp
Great side road location to pick up some fresh varieties of seafood with the added bonus of cooking them for you to enjoy. Tried the lobster roll and a dozen oyster with little neck clams and sat outside on provided benches and seating. Great selection and helpful staff get you on the right road of daily specials.

Yelp
As a private chef i have been using Seafood Shop for 10 years. They are at the farmers markets. Order ahead, no problem. Go into the store in Wainscot ~ Fish so fresh and glistening. Alex is the Best he has been my fish guy for all these years. He is so accommodating, knowledgeable and a good guy. They are lucky to have him. Do not hesitate to call for his help. The seafood shop can get you whatever your catering needs, private chef needs are, or just a family dinner. Call ahead, or in an emergency they will jump in and help you and suggest ideas if you are at a loss Of what to cook. Also if you are in the seafood shop, get a bowl of their chowder! Yum yum. Thank you guys, and Alex for your smiles, delectable seafood and great customer service

Yelp
Traveling down the Montauk Highway and hungry for some awesome seafood? Especially during fall when all other roadside seafood destinations are closed for the season? Welcome to The Seafood Shop. I'm guessing it's open all year long, as there's a cascade of locals popping in for lunch. Many of these locals are on a first name basis with the store's employees. They have everything from sandwiches to a small selection of groceries to fresh seafood by the pound. They also have a selection of hot soups for immediate consumption. That's what I sauntered through the doors for. The clam chowder is among some of the best I've had in Montauk. The lobster bisque is also totally worth getting your mitts on. But I'm sure that can be said for just about any stew that comes out of The Seafood Shop's tiny kitchen. There's no seating to speak of, but you can rest your comestibles on top of an old surfboard outside the front door. It's perfect.

Stephen G.

Yelp
We have been shopping there for more than 20 years, but this was the first time I asked them to cater a birthday party for me on a boat no less. They were absolutely amazing in every way. The office was so great in helping me plan a menu (because I'm helpless). The price was fair and the staff they sent couldn't t have been more attentive and personable. Now for the food - simply delicious. We had no capability to serve hot food so the menu featured room temperature appetizers with special kudos for the mini lobster rolls and crab cakes. The raw bar onboard was also superb with the freshest and sweetest shrink, clams and oysters. Main course was salmon that was moist and so delicious. The staff even helped with the birthday cake that came from elsewhere. All in all it was a night to remember thanks in a large part to the Seafood Shop!!

Yelp
I'm not a big fan any more. The take out has been so poor the last few times we bought it. Over cooked. Over priced. Scallops were like rubber tonight. 5 scallops 5 for $16.00. Wow! Wee! Loved the clam pie for years but no more, so much sand you'll bust a tooth. Sad but true. I'm only talking about the take out. Feel like every where is over priced these days. : (

Enn B.

Yelp
Super fresh seafood. I stopped here on the way home from east Hampton and got 1.5 lb of tuna belly which came out to $35 ($23/lb) and a lobster wrap ($12). The lobster wrap was really good and had a lot of lobster for the price that it was. The tuna belly was super fresh and I made tartare with it for dinner. Everything looked really good here and the price was reasonable. They also have a deal of live lobsters, 4 for $56

Michael G.

Yelp
A great selection of seafood, serving size of takeout platter of fresh seafood is also amazing. I can not wait to go back
google avatar

Yelp
The Seafood Shop is the best place in the East End to pick up fresh seafood to barbeque. Each time I have gotten my fish or shellfish there, it has been the freshest, most flavorful cuts. The Chilean sea bass filets are pricey, but perfection. Always a large assortment of mussels, clams and recently steamers. Always plenty of live lobsters. And don't hesitate to ask the guys behind the counter some cooking tips! They are so knowledgeable and helpful! The shop also has some lovely prepared foods. I haven't had one yet, but I often see on my stops people stopping in for a lobster roll. I'll have to grab one on my way out next time!

Yelp
Best lobster bisque in all of the North East! You take it to go but you will not taste a better bisque. Lots of great fresh seafood & other foods.

Yelp
This is a "Must stop" on every trip to this end of the Island. The lobster rolls aren't cheap, but the lobster salad in the sweet brioche bun is one of my favorites. The lobster bisque is one of the chunkiest, most meat-filled versions I know. The staff is always friendly, the other seafood is tasty and fresh.

Yelp
Nice place to get food to go. Went here specifically for the lobster roll since it seems almost every other place I wanted to try out east was closed yesterday. So just for the fact that they were open they get a .50 clawvience ratings bump. Couple of picnic tables outside so not much for clawbiance. The food looked good inside especially the seared tuna. The lobster roll was lobster salad on a potato roll. A little too much celery for my taste but a solid roll. $18 so good value. Overall they get a 7 claw rating

Yelp
I've been to the Seafood Shop about a million times. The service is always friendly (Alex is the best) and helpful and the fish is the freshest in the Hamptons. You can buy raw to take home and grill or they have prepared foods and the best seafood soups ever. They have a super spicy Thai soup that is simply bonkers awesome. The lobster bisque is also super amazing and not to be missed. I'll miss them until next summer!

Yelp
I am a new customer to The Seafood Shop and surprisingly the food is really good. The portions are on the smaller side but the overall quality of the seafood is remarkable. I reside west of the canal and I must admit for the last month, I've been making the 40 min drive East to the establishment. However, after last weekends awful experience with Paola who works up front I will not be returning. I called ahead to place an order, and this gal was just so rude and abrupt for no reason. When I arrived I asked if she was the person I spoke with, she said yes and proceeded to toss my order to the cashier. No gloves, and just an overall vile spirit. I am just really flabbergasted at the lack of professionalism people display lately. As much as I love their lobster bisque soup, fried fish, and shrimp I will not be returning. I am extremely big on customer service. What does it take to be kind and patient? Nothing! And there is nothing more I wish to say about the tacky, ghetto service at this establishment.
