"You instantly feel at ease at this elegant bistro in a prime position overlooking the Dart Estuary. Food-themed art and framed former menus exude a sense of the passion poured into this long-standing, family-run spot, where the original owner's son is now cooking. The daily changing menu is a celebration of both local seafood and Italian cooking, with the day's catch used to power classic dishes like 'spaghetti alla vongole', plus whole fish cooked in the charcoal oven. Start with a cocktail in the lovely Joe’s Bar." - Michelin Inspector

We went twice during our stay in Pentewan. The food was very tasty and there is a "kids" end with films playing with subtitles. The desserts were a bit disappointing - and expensive! £6.50 each, not including any cream, custard, or ice cream. A scoop of ice cream was another £1.95! I live in the South East and even I think those are crazy prices.

What a fantastic night we had last night, 13th August. We popped up for a drink as the karaoke was on, it was such an amazing atmosphere, we have been coming for over 18 years and it was just like old times. It was great to see the kids dragging Mark from the arcade up on stage so they could sing a song together, and the crowd absolutely loved it. Never been happier to have to queue for drinks on a night out. Such a buzz in the park afterwards. I had Oasis don't look back in anger stuck in my head. It was like a massive family gathering. Will be a great memory to look back on.

After years of visiting the site we gave the seahorse a try and weren’t disappointed. Very god quality food and nice spacious restaurant. Friendly staff lady with Bob blond hair was nice. Will be using this more on our future visits. Good value for money and a big variety of options for all.

Great place and fab service. The new seating area is really good and is constantly cleaned. Emma and the other staff are doing an amazing job. Had a great 4 days here and looking forward to our visit next year.

Excellent setting, with views of St Austell Bay. The restaurant is on the first floor, with a swimming pool and coffee shop on the ground floor. The food was delicious, and the service was too.

Where do I start? Christmas party 🎉 Starter was ok but no bread rolls served with starters had to ask for them. Vegetarian main poor, mushroom, spinach and artichoke pie with ratatouille and roast potatoes, strange combination and nothing special. Dessert was 3 different desserts on one plate, given a spoon 🥄 and then expected to share with your neighbour. We asked for plates so we could eat individually. No coffee after meal either. A very basic meal and not worth the money. This isn't all of it but can't be bothered to write anymore.

Parking is on arrival beware. If ya eat there, get a receipt because they won’t wanna believe you if you’ve paid for a meal and their ticket machine to the kitchen goes awry. My expecting lady didn’t eat with the rest of us as the staff forgot about her order, when she asked when she was going to get it they came back 20 minutes later after just waiting for 20 mins whilst everyone else got served their food, and the manager said “sorry, it’s alright, you didn’t pay for it but it’s alright you can have it.” And we just thought 💭 you cheeky so & so. My lady had been waiting 40 minutes to be told she didn’t even pay for it but that it’s alright 👍 I went up to ask if they’ve checked their cctv because we were 💯% certain that we paid £29.50 for an all day breakfast, scampi, kids sausage and chips, a pint of coke, a tea and a fruit shoot.
