Best Food-and-Drink Destinations in Vancouver, Washington

"Tim and Melissa McCusker, of Feast 316 in downtown Camas, opened their updated speakeasy in the heart of downtown Vancouver at the tail end of the pandemic. The menu includes smaller bites like the ham- and bechamel-stuffed jamon croquette, as well as duck fat fries with duck-fennel-peppercorn gravy; follow them with a decadent coffee coriander-crusted ribeye with pistachio chimichurri and romesco. The Sedgwick also offers a daily yakitori menu and rotating desserts like guava creme brûlée." - Rachel Pinsky

Wow! We found this restaurant on Trip advisor and gave it a shot. It was the full experience of taste and service. Brooke was our primary server, though everyone was very pleasant and helpful. We ordered two Yakitori options, ribeye and scallops, two cocktails and then decided to have the baked Brie and fingerling potatoes too. We cleaned up every bite and enjoyed them all. It was just the right amount of food for two hungry adults and every bite was our favorite. Brooke was so attentive and helpful. Each of the menu items was accompanied by special sauces and condiments. If we lived in the area, this would be our go-to place for celebrations and special meals. My only suggestion was that the ceiling fans be turned down for comfort and so the food doesn't get chilled.

Google
Fantastic food, great portions for sharing. Good cocktails and awesome service. Can’t wait to come back 😃 Recommendations: Pork belly bao buns, duck fat fries, smash burger, then shrimp and ribeye skewers. YUM.

Google
Amazing meal with my wife and daughter. Perfect food, the filet and ribeye steak skewers (yakitori) were amazing. We only got one order of shrimp yakitori but it was cooked perfectly and the chimichurri added an extra flavor. The service was perfect with regular but not intrusive attention. We ordered too much food with the salad, asparagus, risotto, frog legs and at the end when we were stuffed from the family style feast they brought the final dish we had ordered, a pork belly over mushroom ravioli. I only took a few bites, wishing I could have more room in my stomach. What a feast, I will definitely be back.

Google
Get their bread pudding and thank me later. Their yakitori skewers can be pricey but delicious. I've always had a great experience with getting their specials. Sometimes certain items are seasonal.

We decided to check this place out today because it looked really cozy with elegant dishes for a nice date night. It did not disappoint! The French burger was a huge hit! We couldn’t stop eating it. It’s clear they truly care about the time it takes to make quality food. The drinks were also cute, as my London fog had some cute little hearts on top of the egg whites. They truly know how to make a comfortable dining experience with a full service bar. I’ve worked in catering for many years and the truffle was fantastic we will have to try other things on the menu. Thanks! 🙏 Truly great flavors! 👏🤤

Google
The restaurant and bar are cozy. Service was friendly and pleasant. Not too full on a Saturday night. The food was not great though. I had the pork belly porchetta roulade. A huge chunk of meat, surrounded by 5 creamy ravioli. Although encircled by a ring of fat, the meat inside was dry and stringy. Way overcooked. I guess not easy to roast this dish just right, definitely went wrong in my case. The bar counter was sticky and could use a wipe.

Google
Shared Duck fat fries, Warm Kale salad & The Mac with a friend. We ate every single bite. The flavor combos here were surprising and delectable. I will be back!

Google
Great place for a date. The drinks were delicious, as well as the octopus and the French burger. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We will be coming back again.

Yelp
I called earlier in the day to ask if reservations were needed. I was told only for large parties. Before hanging up she said she hoped to see me that night. What a great attitude and customer service! We did go for dinner, the hostess showed us the dining room and the lounge so we can decide where we would prefer to sit. The waiter was very helpful, explained menu and how to order. We ordered the house salad and coconut curry bisque. The soup was amazing, would order that every time. Entrees were the trout, short rib birria, and the ribeye yakitori. The trout and birria were delicious! The yakitori sauce was very salty for our taste. Next time would prefer on the side or light sauce, if possible. We were stuffed, so no dessert. Maybe next time Really enjoyed the ambiance, mood lighting and we loved that we could have a conversation over dinner. Some places are so loud these days it is difficult to socialize. Also, parking was not too difficult to find for dinner.

Yelp
Five others and I dined here last evening. First, I want to say that I have lived and died over the previous seven years by Yelp reviews. What I mean in this case is that I live in Portland, Oregon, but we decided to dine in Vancouver, Washington. Well, this time, the people doing reviews on this app must not have eaten at the same restaurant I did. Who are all these people giving this place 4-star reviews? Are they bots? The food was wildly overpriced and very hit-or-miss. We ordered a good deal of items from the menu. The frog legs were very frog-tasting and were burnt. The Brie was good, but they only gave you a tiny piece of cornbread with a massive bowl of cheese. The burger tasted like a homemade burger--not in a good way. The grilled artichoke salad consisted of canned artichokes. How does one grill a jarred artichoke? The salad was swimming in oil. My father had the butternut squash soup and said it was good. The duck fat fries were "meh." I could go on, but you get the drift. The drinks were another strange thing. They were mocktails, but they were all way too strong-tasting. The mixes were all wrong. The restaurant itself was strange. It was cut in half, with one side serving as a lounge and the other as a dining room--completely empty. We sat in the lounge. The service was average. Our waitress put in a ticket for one item, and when we asked her about it when it was time to leave, she stated that the kitchen must not have seen the ticket. I believe I am being very generous with a three-star review. I feel like the reviews come from people who were intoxicated and whose taste buds were off. I will not be returning here. I did appreciate their chandelier.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend decided to try this place out and i had high hopes for it since the reviews made it seem high end. I walked in and was waiting at the door for around 10 minutes not to mention the Servers walking around. We finally then sat down 1. The napkin was dirty from the inside looks like they covered it up 2. Took A while for food, drinks were served 10 minutes before food. Food overall was too expensive for its taste. Customer Service Lacked.

Yelp
I stopped in for the first time today with some family. We enjoyed the several cocktails the waiter who helped us was such a nice guy. We had a great time. The drinks were super delicious. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Nice little place tucked into a side street near a park. Walked in and the dining room was closed for a private event but the bar/lounge was open for dinner so I wandered up there. Eclectic mix of tables so I picked one near the door and settled in. Had a decent happy hour menu so In picked the old fashioned and reviewed the menu. Settled on the potato crusted halibut, roasted asparagus side and a falafel scotch egg appetizer The waitress said things will come out as ready and I said ok, but didn't realize it was exactly like that. The asparagus came out first! Lol. Then the scotch egg then the halibut. All fairly quick so I had all my food at once. Asparagus was really good, cooked well and covered in a tasty sauce. Scotch egg was huge, very good but a lot of it. I couldn't finish it all Halibut was amazing, very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Loved it and wish I had more! Sauce with it was really good too They have an extensive whiskey selection and I asked for a list, but they didn't have one, but the bartender said she'd make me one, amazing service! She hand wrote a list of about 20 bourbons for me. I tried a few and enjoyed it. Really cool place. Will definitely be back

Yelp
Open four years why I just found it is criminal. My tastebuds danced and I'm sure I proposed to the steak. The wait staff was very kind and helpful the atmosphere was dark and warm. I have not had food this good since I ate in San Francisco and Dallas Texas. Nothing was okay. Everything we had was stupid-crazy-blew-my-mind-delicious and no I'm not expecting anyone else to understand this just know if there's something you like you will love how it's made here. If you don't want change stay home and eat. Life is too short not to taste the whole menu. These people love to prepare and serve food and it shows. We tried several desserts the bread pudding the pears and chocolate cake were all delicious but I barely had room. We both had everything and didn't talk much but we did say "damn that's good" "wow this is amazing you gotta taste it" happy 61st birthday to me major congratulations on the fantastic food. Dear Sedgwick staff I love your work !!!

Yelp
Only 1 girl was doing bussing, bar, and waitressing on a Saturday. Took a while to get service because she can't do it all. However, the food here is delicious and worth the wait.

Yelp
Ambiance 5 service 5 food 5 i can leave a long descriptive review on this place but im from California and i probably will never have the pleasure of eating here again. I wish this place was here in L.A. Been working in restaurants almost 25 years and this place checks off every box!!

Sara B.

Yelp
All the food was fantastic! Didn't try any cocktails. We were there for lunch. We shared a bunch of things. Service was great as well!

Jane B.

Yelp
Visited for the first time today for a work holiday event with John L. Scott Real Estate and had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious and the ambience was lovely. I have Celiac, and the staff (Melissa specifically!) were incredibly accommodating, ensuring I had plenty of options and making items specially gluten free for me even during the busyness of the afternoon. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Sat @ the bar and finally got drinks in 30 min. Sitting here for over an hour and still no food. Signature drinks were mah. Sat around 7:15, it's now 8:50 with no food. We will not be back!!!!! The wife and sister got there burgers, I'm still waiting on taco....TACOS!!!

Katie D.

Yelp
The food is delicious! Second time dining in and are impressed every time. Shandra is a fantastic waitress! She's very attentive, personable, and informed on the menu! The ambiance is cozy and clean. Highly recommend bone marrow, surf & turf burger, soup, and pork trio. See you soon and thank you!

Yelp
The food is amazing! Your palate will thank you. And the waitress was very nice and took the time to explain the business name to us because we asked.

Yelp
Amazing flavorful food!!! The fried rabbit was divine and the bone marrow & escargot were (chefs kiss)
google avatar

Roberta L.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a group. The service was a bit slow as it seems like they had too many tables for 2 servers in our area. The food overall, the bone marrow was the best thing we ordered here. The bread was nice and fluffy. The skewers were small for the price. Did try any of that drinks, but there were quite a lot of people on dates or after work get togethers

Yelp
In the same week last year for my birthday, we went here and El Goucho. While Goucho is nice and all that, our meal here was twice as good and half the cost. Being able to try and number of different dishes made for a fun dining experience. The service was great attentive without hovering. Very happy, we've gone a couple times since and I can't wait to go again.

Yelp
We like coming here for unique cocktails and the appetizers are good however they are pretty expensive Great atmosphere for a pre dinner drink but I'd go elsewhere for the big meal

Yelp
Spent an amazing dinner with our sister and brother in law tonight... the food was ON POINT! From the Octopus (4 serving of it cuz it was THAT good) to the coconut curry carb biscuits and braised lamb shank.... One of the best meals we've had in a LONG time!!! Great staff experience, getting the opportunity to rap with the owner, epic, love hearing his passion for his food... Keep it up! Look forward to visiting again soon!

Yelp
The food (small plates) was very good, although a bit pricey, and the ambiance and service in the bar area was great.

Yelp
Interesting menu selections. I don't think I was a fan of the way the dishes come out randomly, but everything was really tasty.

Yelp
Birthday for my husband- recap Food was amazing! Atmosphere was quiet and intimate Service was slow to greet and seat us and no sign saying please wait or seat yourself so we sat ourselves because we didn't know. That was awkward for us but next time we will know that someone will seat us. (Not a big deal) Special cocktails are so good and really pretty. I would definitely go again, I just need to be prepared to spend a little more dinner money than usual

Yelp
I realllllllyyyyyyyy wanted to love this place. Saw awesome reviews and promising photos. Ambience 9/10 beautiful place; love the lighting and overall vibe. Our server was also sweet and helpful, it was only her and one other girl who seem more like a hostess / busser. It wasn't super busy, but she did a great job of balancing the tables as well as a larger party that looked like they were there for a holiday company gathering. ANYWAYS. They do not have a kids menu, but do have a kids macaroni. So isn't very family friendly. The ambiance gives me more of a dark date night / girls night vibe. We ordered the corn on happy hour, that was delicious. My daughter demolished the plate and loved it, we also ordered the grilled octopus which was to die for and extremely tender. I cut through it with my fork. Those were definitely the best two items. The potato crusted halibut was $42, and was extremely dry in the middle. It did come with some purées on the plate which definitely helped. Worst dish of the night was the lamb carbonara, the lamb was the highlight but there was literally 7 pieces. 5 of them were EXTREMELY crispy. The pasta was insanely salty, like someone accidentally poured salt and then said "oh well" I would wanna try this one more time to see if the yakitori is any good, as well as their other happy hour items. I have no complaints of the service, ambiance and drinks. We got a margarita and espresso martini, those were delicious! Spending $74 on two main entrees that were overcooked and salty was not how I imagined my experience of main entree would be here

Yelp
Since losing Lapella and Three Sixty the first year of the pandemic, we have been searching for another place for special occasions and entertaining out-of-town guests. The waterfront is a great addition to The Couve, but it doesn't have that laid back hipster vibe which the downtown has. We have eaten at almost all of the restaurants on the waterfront and have a place or 2 we can take out of town guests to but we wanted something in downtown which has that laid back Couve vibe. And... our search has ended at THE SEDGEWICK!!! To me, The Sedgwick is the epitome of what The Couve food scene is. Innovative and eclectic cuisine served up in a laid back, comfortable venue, and has reasonable prices in these inflationary times. We ate here for our anniversary and had a fabulous meal. We had the chicken, shrimp and rib eye skewers off the yakitori menu and mushroom risotto and grilled asparagus off the tapas menu. Everything was fabulous worthy of a special occasion. Support the downtown restaurants. Check it out.

Yelp
I was recommended The Sedgwick by a friend as a restaurant to visit in Vancouver, but I was pretty disappointed with it. I loved the decor and was really excited when we came in (love the Marilyn Monroe figure), but was sorely disappointed by the actual food. I believe they have high-quality ingredients and creative minds in the kitchen, but their end results... are not really that great. I will say, their sauces and seasonings were pretty good, but they weren't enough to help the main dish. - Fried Rabbit: 1/5, too much breading and didn't taste like anything - Pork Cheeks: 2/5, pretty tender but not that much meat - Cornmeal Crusted Trout: 1/5, also too much breading and overcooked - Baked Brie: 4/5, this was pretty good, as I had expected. It's pretty hard to mess up baked brie! I liked the addition of honey, but the honeypot that it comes in is impractical to use. - Mushroom Risotto: 5/5, although quite rich, this was my favorite part of the meal. The risotto actually tastes like truffle and everyone at my table agreed it was the best part. - Scallop Yakitori: 5/5, this one was great. I think we should have just stuck to the Yakitori part of the menu, since the portions here were great and cooked well.

Yelp
I am so lucky I found this place on my work trip. I stopped in for late lunch, so hanging out at the bar side instead of the restaurant. It's comfy, clean and fun! I ate waaayyy too much and enjoyed every bite! I ordered the warm kale salad, the French burger sans bun, a glass of Pinot noir and a crème brûlée. All fabulous choices! Shelby waited on me, she's a great person who provided excellent service. Very attentive, kind and smart!
google avatar

Yelp
We had our worksgiving there and every single dish/ drink we had was very good. Me personally really like the taste of the secret lover cocktail and the burger. Service was standard and ambiance is okay too. You really go here for their food.
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
I loved everything about this place - except how hard it was to find - but that was because the downtown construction got my Google Maps confused, which is no fault of the restaurant. I ordered the French burger - which was DEEEELISH!! But you have to love brie, green granny apples and caramelized onions, which I do!! They even cooked it well done - like I like! My dad thinks that is a sin but I like my meat to almost be crispy - like when you barbeque. I was soo tempted to order the burger with the crab but I'm not adventurous enough and would need a bite of someone else's. I love burgers & I love crab - I am just not sure I want them together. It's like mixing a PB&J with a Grilled cheese. Love them both but not sure I want them at the same time. I also ordered the "Ron puts bacon on everything" (an Old Fashioned with a large, thick, spicy & sweet piece of bacon) and loved every sip. Now, for the staff... Our server, a male (I am going to assume his gender - he he) was awesome!! I am pretty sure he had brownish hair and a slight beard (meaning, not one you could braid but not peach fuzz either). There were 20 of us and he got every food and drink order correct and our food came out piping hot. He got our bills correct too! He also took a great group photo for us. The kitchen staff killed it and the food was wonderful! Thank you for getting everything perfect and out in a timely fashion. Clearly the front and back staff work like a well-oiled machine. Lastly, thank you to the management for accommodating our large group and letting us have separate checks. This is a make or break for me and I will not go back to restaurants that only allow 1 check. It's just too stressful to figure out and so it is not worth it. This place won huge points from all of us for doing that.

Yelp
I have lived in the Vancouver area for years now and am embarrassed to say that I just recently found the Sedgwick. Very glad I did. I have tried several menu items now and everything has been outstanding. The highlight is the yakitori which I have never seen offered elsewhere in the area. Staff is attentive and knowledgeable, drink selection is inspired and all day happy hour on Mondays makes me actually like Mondays again. Have never sat on the restaurant side but both sides seem inviting and comfortable. Definitely one of my new favorite places in Vancouver!
google avatar

Hubert B.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my first experience here. Started out with the Coconut Curry soup., has basil, lobster, and crab in it. Very flavorful! Then tried the Beef Wellington, which was superb! Service was pleasant and efficient and the decor was very nice. Good date restaurant.
google avatar

Rose D.

Yelp
We had high hopes for this place, but the overall experience was disappointing. Perhaps a clue should have been it was dinner time on a Saturday night and there was hardly anyone there. The menu & decor looks like a nicer restaurant, good for a date night, but the music they were playing on a Saturday night seemed to be at odds with that vibe (we enjoy current music, but on this night it was a bit too clubby & a tad too loud). And I get wanting to have a bit of cheeky fun with your holiday cocktails menu, but when you use the word "testicles" in the name of one of your holiday drinks, it's a bit too much for this type of restaurant (maybe use "jingle balls" instead?). The food was hit or miss. We loved the chicken yakitori, but it would have been better if they served it removed from the skewer (it was awkward to try & remove the meat from the skewer, especially on the skinny plate it was served on), and they need to give you more of the chutney it's served with (there was maybe 2 tsp of it on a small plate). The harissa roasted cauliflower was supposedly seasoned with coconut curry & harissa, which we couldn't taste, and it came with candied blood orange & kumquats which were so strong in a sickly orange flavor they were a bit like soap. The third small plate we tried was the cornmeal crusted trout which didn't seem to go with the cold Tom Yum sauce it was served with, but the cucumber salad it also came with was good. I understand they are going for some interesting and unique flavor combos, but some of theses were just misses The service was so-so. Our server was very nice, but when it came time to clear the table and bring the check she was doing everything but that. After 10 minutes of staring at our empty plates, eventually someone came to clear the table, and then we waited another 10 minutes for the check.

Yelp
It's nice to see downtown Vancouver WA opening up chic restaurants. The price range for the main entrées was about $50-$80... Little bit too pricey for the Vancouver market in my opinion. But if you mix and matched the extras and what is called "Yakimori" then it was definitely worth it. I was with two others and we ordered the extras and the yakimori and had six different dishes that we shared! We were full. I would definitely recommend this and their drinks are pretty good too.

Nancy D.

Yelp
I Truly outstanding food. Great dinner celebrating a dear friend's birthday. Fabulous place in Vancouver.

Yelp
I still feel the same about this place, even a year later! The food quality is still top notch, the service and energy and layout of the place is too! No complaints, just more photos!!!

Yelp
Came to the Sedgwick on a Friday around 4pm. The decor is beautiful and the ambiance is perfect! Very friendly, attentive, and fast service - all around! We had the Old Fashioned and Apple Margarita to start. Perfect drinks! The candied bacon atop the Old Fashioned - was delicious! We ordered the Japanese Fried Rabbit and Fried Olives to start. I am obsessed with the Fried Olives! The breading on the Japanese Fried Rabbit was delicious - would have probably chosen a sweeter accompany in the side sauce! The scallop skewer and Pork Belly skewer were the highlights! Delicious! I loved the Filet with Gouda Fondue - and fried portobello. Great flavor profiles, and innovation in these dishes! Will be back to try more!

Jena R.

Yelp
Came here with a party of 8, service and food was excellent! Every single plate was worth it!

Yelp
We visited with a large group for a birthday party. First of all, the ordering system seems a bit odd and our waitress was quite frantic, This is supposed to be a place where you share plates... honestly with a group our size it was just too much to discern the financials of it all, so we each ordered things we wanted to try and split up the bill by groups. This really seemed to overwhelm our server. The BEST thing we ate was the mushroom/truffle risotto so flavorful and deliciously decadent. I tried bone marrow and escargot for the first time! Loved the bone marrow, so rich! The escargot wasn't bad either. This added a hint of elegance and luxury to our meal for sure! The pork rind appetizer was okay and the asparagus was alright too but nothing spectacular. Even though we were STUFFED I am so glad I ordered some desserts to share. Particularly enjoyed the smoked chocolate mouse the presentation was lovely with the smoke billowing and twirling out of the container. Can't figure out how to get videos on Yelp! ... would DEFINITELY visit again. Maybe with a smaller group it will fell less chaotic and more manageable for the staff. It's a small intimate restaurant.

Yelp
I don't like to give negative reviews but this was the worst experience at a restaurant I've had in a while. Took the restaurant a good while to seat us and once they finally did they only brought out one of the two entrees we ordered. It took literally at least another 25 minutes for them to bring out the other one. My sister had finished her meal by the time they finally bought out my dish. Wow, is this the standard of restaurants these days? Let one person eat at time, then 30 minutes later bring out the other dish? The worst part of it all, was the terrrrrrrible food. I got the Lamb Belly Carbonara and it was like pasta out of a rice a roni box. There was about 4 little cubes of lamb in there that were chewy and completely unappetizing. The sauce was completely disgusting. Because my sister was already done with her food by the time my dish arrived, I just took it to go. I put it on a plate when I got home which is the picture in this post.

Yelp
Love Love Love The Sedgwick! We were a party of 5, sat in the bar area. The bar is a large open seating area that is gorgeous, sexy and romantic. Our server, a gentleman was funny and informative. We ordered drinks that were priced competitively from $11 to $15. Off the dinner menu which comprised off small plates perfect for sharing. we ordered the following. HOUSE PORK CRAKLIN $5.50 chicharron, queso crumbles, apples & pears . fennel peach marmalade. *This dish was a 10. I have had cracklin before but nothing like this. The fennel peach marmalade put this dish over the top. I now crave Craklin! Serving size 2-3 people. DUCK FAT FRIES $9.50 Twice cooked . topped with manchego & chives . served with duck fennel peppercorn gravy. *Dressing the fries with duck fennel gravy made the fries seem elegant and flavorful. Who needs ketchup not this dish. Large portion enough for 5 people. MURRY'S CORNER BURGER $11.00 Grilled sweet roll . swiss . bacon, sundried tomato, coffee jam . tempura cremini mushroom . chili lime aioli *My husband loves burgers this burger did not disappoint. The burger was cooked perfectly medium, without asking. The sweet roll bun topped upon a savory meat patty is a winning and unique combo. You can't beat the ala carte price of 11 bucks ...for a gourmet burger with quality toppings. FRIED OLIVES $5.50 served with a garlic chive basil aoili *Who doesn't love fried olives! The dipping sauce was incredible. The Sedgwick also has a wonderful Yakitori menu. Yakitori is a Japanese type of skewered chicken, fish or lamb grilled over a charcoal fire. Skewers are priced at $2.50 to $6 per order. We got shrimp, (3) skewers and Scallop (4) skewers. You can't beat the price!

Yelp
Such a nice place to grab dinner or even just a drink! The food is phenomenal! They always have such fun drinks too! The fried olives are a must if you haven't been!

Yelp
This cozy beautiful little gem is fantastic! Perfect for a date night or a drink with friends. (A group next to us had small children with them, I really don't recommend it for family with small kids. They seemed very stressed trying to keep the kids entertained and their noise levels down ) The food is served as small plates which we LOVE because we love to try a small amount of multiple things. And wow did we ever this trip! Lol. The service was impeccable! The food was delicious! (Except the bone marrow. I don't recommend.) we will ABSOLUTELY be back! There's so much more we would like to try!

Yelp
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways: - Fun drinks - Awesome food - The ambiance - Good Service On a dreary gloomy weekday Sedgewick made our spirits high and how !! The restaurant was partially filled as it was middle of the week and we were promptly attended . The food menu here is mostly Small plates , which I am a huge fan of .What I did not like was the paper menu where you tick off the dishes one by one , I mean its not that hard to take an order if the server is anyways attending to you .We proceeded to order a variety of things Pork belly Yakitori Mac n cheese - This was a kickass Mac n cheese ,especially the tomatoes really added to the flavor . Harissa Cauliflower - My favorite item on the menu , the sauce that came with it was the showstopper for me Fried Olives - If you know me by now , you know there has to be something fried on my order always . The olives did not disappoint. The drinks were refreshing and boozy and we ordered more than one rounds of the same thing. I was a big fan of the Rosemary Mule. Service was attentive and fast and the restaurant location is very convenient.

Yelp
So I would like to give this place a 3.5/5 stars, sadly due to one important factor that didn't quite meet our expectations. Although the menu contained luxurious and gourmet items, unfortunately, the flavors of those beautiful ingredients were hidden under the glazes and sauces that coated them. Although the duck fries were nearly perfect, the gravy that accompanied them slightly took on a curry flavor. It somehow was overpowering. The drinks were interesting and beautiful. I enjoyed my blind date with vodka but my husband wished his smore whiskey drink was more sweet or at least taste like smores. Still very good food and drinks, however just flavors weren't quite what we were expecting. Service and atmosphere was absolutely beautiful and perfect.

Yelp
It's a little expensive but well worth it. The handcrafted cocktails were amazing! The happy hour plates are also soooo good!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food and drinks! Our group of four shared many plates of food and nothing was short of delicious. Truffle mac & cheese was the best I had ever had, nothing compares. Beef short rib birria- wow! We also had the duck fat fries, scotch egg, pork rinds, and brie plate. The yakitori which is skewers was melt in your mouth good! We had ribeye, chicken thigh, and shrimp. Since dinner so delicious we had to try dessert! Our table shared the deconstructed lemon marine pie, bread pudding, and smoked chocolate mouse. Bread pudding was the favorite at our table! All dishes had their own unique sauses and pairings. Nothing was missed as far as flavor! Drinks were also amazing! Definitely a mixologist creating these wonderful drinks! Oh Service! Our server was attentive, friendly, and patient while he explained the experience of the Sedgwick. The chef himself was out greeting tables as well. We had a great conversation with him which topped off our experience there! A group of four with drinks, was about 260.00- we all left stuffed and planning our next experience there!

Yelp
Don't sleep on this place! Their Brie cheese is mine and my friends' favorite, literally anything you get you can not go wrong with. The ambience is great too.

Yelp
The food was okay but the atmosphere was confusing and therefore distracting, it felt like three different people with three different decorating styles each put their own elements into the restaurant. If the food was better and/or the space had a better atmosphere I would go back but currently that is not the plan. With better options near by, it just didn't make the "return" list for us. The menu has great concepts, i'd like to see both the space and food executed better. If you end up here, it's not the worst! Just not not enough to tip the scales IMO.

Yelp
My son took me to The Sedgwick Thursday for my birthday. We had the bone marrow/escargot and the baked Brie which were Amazing! Unfortunately our dinners, which were mini beef Wellingtons took over an hour, well after the appetizers and were inedible. It was plated beautifully but cooked to death then served barely warm. Very disappointing! My son had spoken so highly of this restaurant, so he was embarrassed with caliber of the entrees, it should have never left the kitchen! Thank goodness the dinner company was enough to save the night.

Yelp
OMG!! What a start to our new life chapter in Vancouver. We just moved here and The Sedgwick is our first Friday night experience! Wow, amazing food! We had baked brie, pork belly skewers, scallop skewers, HUGE super juicy burger made from ground ribeye and filet! So great. Have it! The fries done in duck fat are crazy! I would add a touch of truffle salt or oil (love it). We also had the pork cheeks, which were SICK. For dessert, we had the bread pudding with whiskey sauce. Our waitress was super helpful, happy and energized! Ask for Katie (Norwegian) and Hailey in the kitchen! David A Carter Park Vancouver, WA
