The Sherman is a fantastic spot to enjoy a beer and a great burger. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Upstairs, they have a speakeasy called The Attic, which is perfect for hanging out with friends and having some drinks. The Attic also has a terrace where you can enjoy the nice weather. Highly recommended!

We just arrived from the east coast and walked in with 3 rollie bags, backpacks, and an appetite after flying for 5 hours and taking an Uber from LAX. It was early and ample space for our gear away from others. The last time I dined here, it was the Spitting Chicken, so in honor, I had the Hot Chicken sandwich, and it was amazing. Had a bit of a kick but something anyone could eat. My daughter had mac-and-cheese with bacon. The salmon over salad was also nice. I really enjoyed the fries.

Google
Absolute worst. $100+ for my order and half of it was not in the bag. 2.15.24 salmon was cold, dry and a tiny portion (pic you can’t even see the salmon bottom corner) called and the manager hung up on me twice with now explanation or resolution. No refund or food replacement offered. Avoid this place

Food was excellent. Service was okay, but could use a bit more care, aka attention to customers for refills. Atmosphere was fine, but a bit on the noisy side. But the food gives it 5 stars for sure. Sherman burger was amazing Caesars salad was excellent Even the simple stuff like popcorn chicken, fries & sliders were very good. If I lived anywhere near here, I'd come at least twice a week. You won't be disappointed 😉

Google
This place is a sham of a restaurant! Mind you it is extremely popular and highly rate which is why I have no idea why my friend and I got such lackadaisical service. First of all, I got there before my friend did so I got us a table. THERE WAS ALL BUT 4 groups of two in there. There was plenty of space and it was 5 o'clock. My friend and I are food blogger so we like to be seated in places that have good natural lighting; ie near a window. So I ask the gal, didn't get her name but if the manger reads this she was a Hispanic looking gal that was working on Saturday July 14 at 5 pm, if I could sit by a window she said no they were all reserved with a heaping amount of rudeness. So whatever I didn't want to fuss over it so I just sat where she wanted us to which was all the way in the back in darkness. So when my friend arrived about three minutes later she was wondering if we could sit elsewhere, somewhere with better lighting. We decided we to ask the waitress since the hostess gave me such sas. We waited 7 minutes, I clocked it, before even getting greeted. And we asked if we could move and she said sure and she sat us somewhere up front near the windows which was perfect! Now here's my gripe. Any other hostess might say we'll we have a reservation coming in at 6,or whatever time the reservation was for, if you won't be longer then that I will gladly seat you there or we have these other seats that might have good lighting for you. But no we were taken to the back with hardly any light at all.the waitress took our drink order and it took 9 minutes to get our drinks. Mind you again there's all but 8 people dining, it should not take that long for a drink. So she brought our drinks and we ordered an appetizer of lobster macaroni and cheese. It came out relatively fast but we never saw our waitress again. After she dropped it off she never came back to see how we're doing, see if we wanted to order more, NOTHING!!! We had to ask a buss boy to get out check was 46 minutes after she dropped the Mac n cheese off!!!! Also the Mac n cheese was good, it was definitely creamy and had good flavor but there was hardly any lobster on it. When looking at others photos on both Instagram and yelp there was huge chunks of lobster on top, ours looked like it was fake canned lobster or something. It was ridiculous. For two drinks and the Mac it came out to fifty dollars. I will never ever ever be back to this establishment. Ever and I will make sure everyone one I know and all of my followers know not to either. Seriously astonishing!!! If you're looking for amazing food and outstanding service I highly recommend going to 7 fusion la two blocks down. That's where we went and were extremely happy and thoroughly impressed with everything.

Google
I really like this place, the food is good, I really enjoyed the gochujang chicken wings and the skirt steak salad, cocktails were ok, nothing special. However, I like the vibe in this place, it feels relaxed. Service was great Christine was amazing.

Google
Use to be amazing… but they keep cutting staff, keep cutting hours and it’s no longer a place to go have a drink at lunch at your local bar. Such a shame, this use to be a great place with incredible staff, but they are losing regulars who keep supporting them and decisions like cutting staff and hours is why. We won’t be going back, and if we want a late night drink we will go to Furley’s next door instead. I hear they are trying to sell the place… the quicker the better. Hopefully new management can get this place back on track.

Google
First and last time here; which is unfortunate because the location is super cute and always a good time on Ventura! Short and sweet review for this one, guys.... Drinks - where's the liquor mannn? 👎🏽🤔 Avocado Toast - strange, we didn't even finish it, and I ALWAYS finish Avocado Toast 👎🏽 Calamari - nothing special, but we finished the rings and tentacles 👍🏽 Tater Tots - always a win 👍🏽 For pub food, go to Tipsy Cow instead. Tipsy also has a great $5 HH menu (review soon coming!)!! Always try for yourselves and #cheers! 🥃 #befreeV #TravelEatLove #nomnom #iEatLA #foodie #skinnyfat 🤤😋

Yelp
Bummer... That's why I'm here. I haven't been to the new establishment yet and wish them the best (whatever it is) but, yeah. Bummer. Food was good, the restaurant had cool vibes, the upstairs bar... and the roof top. Just good times here. The staff were all pleasant as well. Hopefully they were offered a position at the new spot or somewhere close if they needed. R.I.P.

Yelp
This has been my go to spot. I bring everyone here when they come to visit and I go with my friends quite often. After last night, I'm not sure anymore. The food and drinks are usually always on point. My Father was in town so I recommended we go here since it's one of my favorites. Unfortunately, there were a few disappointments. First, I want to say I have NEVER had a server I didn't like here. But the woman who served us seemed as though she didn't care much and might have been having an off day. We ordered the Dusted Ahi to start and it was very FISHY!! And dry. Tuna should never taste or smell extremely fishy. Also, the cucumber salad that was on the plate had way too much vinegar to the point it burns your mouth. We had to send that dish back. I ordered something I get a lot which is the chicken sliders. I felt like the chicken patties I received were a lottt smaller than usual. They were pretty much the same size as the pickle they put on it. I'll attach a photo of them. Besides all of that, their sauces are always amazing! The ranch is superior and the lemon aioli is amazing. And their 405 cocktail is a must try. Maybe I'll go back sometime in the future. As for now, I will explore other places. Cheers.

Yelp
First time here! Parkin can be. a challenge but there is a parking structure on the corner with good rates. Service was fantastic !! Food presentation was really nice as well. Food was "room temp" but I'm sure if I would have asked them to heat the food up it wouldn't have been a problem. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because even with the "Rustic" look- the tables, salt/pepper shakers and windows could have been a little cleaner. and there is also a 4.5% addition charge for "Employee Medical & Wages" included in the bill .

Gareth B.

Yelp
This place hit the spot! Came up here for dinner with a friend after our music event got cancelled at Woodley. Was not disappointed! The burger and fries was incredibly good. I also had The Downtown - oh so good and the honeycomb was a fabulous touch. Delicious. Also had the Sangria (red) - very good.

Lorena K.

Yelp
We have been regulars since we held my 30th birthday party in 2023 . The service is A1 , beyond friendly and amazing! We would come here for the Baja bon fire only! And when I say ONLY I MEAN IT! It's literally a s'more in a cup! Sucks that today is their last Friday because they got sold! The attic at the Sherman we will miss you!!!! Please keep the bon fire it's to die for!!!!

Yelp
I've usually visited The Sherman during the latter hours of the day or on the weekends to watch some sports but coming by mid week is definitely a treat. A friend and I started off with some appetizers like the Brown Sugar Pork Belly, and the Spicy Popcorn Chicken which both were phenomenal. The Pork Belly was the perfect blend of sweet and had the crisp exterior to perfection. Then capped the starters off with The Sherman Burger (cooked medium) and that was extremely flavorful. Our waiter told us the universal best three items were The Sherman Burger, The Sherman Club, and the Blackened Salmon Salad and I was able to try two of those (I ordered the salad to go ) and they did not disappoint. Will definitely be back to try out the Club sandwich.

Nancy M.

Yelp
It was our first spot of the night this past Saturday. Not bad for starters we ordered food downstairs because that's where you can order entrees. I had the Chicken Ceaser Salad and a skinny margarita Lol not ordering a skinny again. My date ordered the club sandwhich comes with fries. Both the salad and sandwich were delicious. Service was okay, the 4 stars is for the delicious food and good taste in music. Also don't forget to make your way upstairs you wont regret it. See y'all next time.

Sean C.

Yelp
Friendly, polite & attentive service with a smile. I had a couple of ice cold Stella's & a nice hot meal:. I had the Special: a Reuben sandwich with Parmesan truffle fries. It was a nice portion, served hot & fries crisp.

Ariana B.

Yelp
I've walked by here so many times and finally decided to give it a try. For some reason, I expected it to be very pricy. I guess maybe it's the formal sit-down dinner aesthetic it portrays from the outside. Walking in, I was happy to see it felt like an upper scale sports bar. There was an NFL finals game on and a few people cheering. Lots of TVs and comfy booth seating with great views of the games. I was pleasantly surprised that pricing was comparable to other sports bars in the area and menu had great options. My faves were the fried chicken sliders and sticky cauliflower. Next time I'd order doubles of those! The spinach artichoke dip was not creamy enough for me, but the rest of the group loved it. Only complaints are service- everything came out extremely slowly despite mostly empty bar and waitress hardly checked on us to refill waters etc- and dirty martini came with glass not filled all the way; there was about a quarter drink missing for whatever reason. Otherwise, would definitely return for yummy food and watching fun sports games!

Yelp
I live in this area in this place is one of my go-to spots. They have good food and very friendly service. I have become a fan of their Sherman club. And if you're looking for a nice and cozy place for drinks you can head upstairs to the attic.

Amanda D.

Yelp
I love this place. Hands-down one of my favorites! The food is good. The service is good. I got brisket chili. My girlfriend got the fish and chips and she did not like them but everything else is great. Awesome ambience as well.

Praachi S.

Yelp
This review is for The Attic (speakeasy on second floor of The Sherman) I have been here a few times with my boyfriend and honestly I could not recommend it enough! The drinks have changed by season, and they have some awesome seasonal drinks that are so unique! The bartender is super friendly, answers any question you have, and makes sure each customer is treated with care! They also have piano duels on some weekends, and it's a great time! Very chill, and the performers are so personable and comedic! The inside by the bar is dark and cozy! Limited seating so come early if possible! They also have an outdoor seating area that is enclosed and has great decor! I'll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Our friends told us to meet them at The Sherman and it was a great choice for a Friday evening. Arriving at 6 pm helped us to get a table quickly. Our server for the night was very kind and helpful. I chose to have the Sherman burger and it was delicious, the fries were a little disappointing, didn't have much flavor and the ranch didn't help the case; but overall it's a nice place to grab a drink and food with friends.

John J.

Yelp
Love the place. This was our first time. They know how to make Dirty Martini. The olives infused with blue cheese were fantastic. They serve their Martini with two olives, but I got four. My wife loved her Margarita and she is picky. The spicy popcorn chicken was HOT but good. The sliders were great as well. Service was great and so was the ambiance.

Heavyn K.

Yelp
Shrimp tacos weren't it, Drinks were good and worth the price. Very nice seating and service. I'd give the food another try. Good/decent fries

Lorraine A.

Yelp
Solid brunch place! This recent visit was my second time there and it did not disappoint! First, the service was great. We were promptly seated and our server was prompt and observant. She was super nice too and had no issue explaining any questions we may have had. For food, I ordered the blue crab Benedict with breakfast potatoes. It was delicious! The blue crab, I could tell had a lot of crab with only a little filler and the potatoes were amazing since it had more of a sautéed taste to them. I will definitely be returning for a third time!

Yelp
We came here in a group of 6 on Sunday, Jan 28. This review is written to reflect the overall culinary and hospitality experience we had..... and thus separated into two different segments: food and service. FOOD (4 stars): When it comes to food options at The Sherman there is lots to choose from! The variety of different apps, burgers, salads etc allow you to mix and match comfortably within a large group. We ordered: wings, spinach artichoke dip, brussel sprouts, and cauliflower...basically bunch of apps! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE ARTICHOKE DIP AND CAULIFLOWER. The dip is creamy and hot, and does not feel heavy like most other artichoke dips. The cauliflower was also delightful . Fried to a crisp perfection and marinated in a tangy sauce, every bite was simply delicious. Brussel sprouts were not bad. Not amazing. Not awful. Not super memorable. (number one status for brussel sprouts is still held by The Local Peasant) . SERVICE (2 stars) Unfortunately service was less than sub par. Our server appeared to be having a bay day or maybe she was exhausted, or perhaps she just got back from a funeral. Regardless of the circumstances she was experiencing at that given moment, we suffered on her expense. She appeared to be White, slightly overweight, glasses, brown hair ponytail, average height. We did not get her name as she was not wearing a name tag , which is why I am listing her physical traits. She did not smile ONCE to us, and when we asked her for recommendations she appeared impatient and short. When a server smiles, you feel more welcome as their guests of the restaurant. When they don't smile or appear personable , you immediately feel like you need to walk on eggshells around that person. The last time I checked , servers are working in the hospitality industry. In order to be a hospitable server , the qualities are typically an individual who is warm and accommodating to their guests... but again this server did not seem to GAF. And so when it came to her tip, we also did not GAF. 4 stars for food and 1 star for service brings The Sherman to a 3. Hopefully my updated review will bring a higher rating!

Yelp
The Sherman reminds me of a upscale ski lodge. I like the decor and it has a nice vibe. We got four seats at the corner of the bar. It was a great spot to keep the drinks flowing. Lucas did a great job of taking care of us. We started off with a regular martini and the Fresh '75 (Hendrick's Gin, Muddled Cucumber, Fresh Lime, Prosecco Float). Both were perfect. Moving on to the food, we got the Enegren Amber Batter Fish & Chips (Cod Fish, Wedge Fries, Tartar Sauce, Malt Vinegar). The batter was light and not too greasy, very nice. Also very good is the Peri-Peri Chicken (Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, African & Portuguese Spices, Cucumber Raita, Israeli Couscous). This dish was light and delicious. It leaves you full but not stuffed. It's an excellent dish. Unfortunately, my order of Steak Frites was not properly cooked and I had to send it back. I asked for medium rare and it came out raw. However, another person in our party also ordered the Steak Frites and it was ok. Food comes out of the kitchen under-cooked, over-cooked etc. all the time, - it's just part of the business. What really matters is how the staff handle mistakes. Lucas was quick to offer to have it recooked but I was ok without it. He comped my martinis and removed the Steak from the bill of course. Despite my dish being under-cooked, everyone else enjoyed their meal and we all had a good time. 5 stars for the service being so quick to correct and compensate. We will definitely be back again.

Yelp
You have to check this bar out in the Valley! It has everything going great food is amazing service is awesome from Woody the best bartender! Place is awesome and it's a great spot to chill. We had the ribeye and the lobster Mac you can't go wrong. Enjoy and have fun we will be back!!

Jasmine F.

Yelp
Let me start off with saying the food was amazing! Came here for a birth celebration and they didn't let us down! The customer service was amazing. They made sure to check up on us and provided us with help whenever needed! The food didn't let us down. They weren't lying when they said the Peri-Peri chicken was spicy, and that's coming from a someone who LOVES spicy. I definitely needed to take breaks because of the spice level, but I finished all of it! The bathrooms were super clean. The drinks were also great. Would recommend and definitely coming here again!

Ari N.

Yelp
Have been here a few times and it's the best bang for your buck. Good atmosphere and good little bites. Cheap tequila!! Definitely a forever spot.

Sean Ray ..

Yelp
Permanently closed?? Whyyyyyy! I need that salmon sandwich in my life! I miss the vibes too! Nooooo!

Tricia K.

Yelp
Had dinner here last night. Our waiter was nice and kept telling us how much he loved us. We shared the following: Lobster mac & cheese Chicken wings Sliders Fries Crispy Brussels sprouts Sticky toffee pudding The lobster mac & cheese looked nothing like a picture I saw in a Google review. Ours barely had any lobster. I had to really look to see the lobster. Regardless, it tasted good. The wings were a little too saucy for me. They had a strong hoisin taste so I tried to scrape off as much sauce as I could before eating them. The inside of the slider bread was burnt. It was black. I cut off the burnt part and ate it. It tasted okay. At least they didn't burn the meat. The brussels sprouts were good. I tried to get the ones that weren't drowning in balsamic vinegar. The sticky toffee pudding was good but the cake to ice cream ratio was off. It should be served with another scoop of ice cream. The candied nuts were delicious! My daughter had a white sangria which looked really good! The fries were okay. The dipping sauce was good. Good place for drinks with friends.

Mark J.

Yelp
The fish and chips are fantastic so fresh. Good portions. The Caesar salad is also worth trying.

Sarah P.

Yelp
As a pregnant person who is averse to food, I couldn't finish the steak and eggs, but devoured the popcorn chicken and fries. My husband really liked the steak since it was flavorful and he got it the way he wanted (medium rare) and he said the sauce had a nice kick and flavorful for the steak. I wish I enjoyed the steak and eggs as much as he did, but I guess once my tastebuds come back to normal I'll have to come back and try it all again! Service was friendly albeit a bit slow. Maybe it's just the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant itself. It was fairly nice and clean and the other menu options sounded great!

Nancy M.

Yelp
I guess this place isn't popular on a Sunday for brunch. But that's good for me. LOL We got here a little after 11AM, which is when they open and there was only 2 other tables besides us. I think this place is more of a bar than a restaurant, but I could be wrong. The food was really good though. Maybe it's really a restaurant with a bar, or maybe it's a bar with a restaurant. The great thing about going as a group is sharing: - Shrimp & Grits: This is what I ordered. OMG! YUMMY! It was so good. The grits were creamy and smooth. The shrimp were plump and juicy. And they didn't skimp on the shrimp either. - Bananas Foster Pancakes: I had several bites of this. This was yummy too, but I'm partial because I love bananas. LOL - Huevos Rancheros: This was yummy too. The potatoes were crispy and well-seasoned. I love runny eggs. It's like a second sauce. I'm salivating thinking about this too. - Pitcher of Sangria: Not my fave but it was okay. I still drank it. There was a lot of ice that were the size of tiny pellets. I probably will not order this again, but for 3 people we had about 2 glasses each. Not bad for $30. This place has a lot of choices. It definitely makes me want to come back to try more foods and different cocktails. The service is great. The staff was very attentive and on point. They were also great with making suggestions because the menu had a lot of great items to try. Parking can suck on Ventura Blvd, but there is a small parking lot right next to the restaurant. And if you can, you might be able to find street parking. Chances of finding street parking are slim to none. If you get the chance, try this place out for brunch. You won't be disappointed. I can't wait to come back.

Mark M.

Yelp
This was a nice restaurant to visit on Ventura Blvd. where the staff was friendly and the vibes were chill in this rustic-themed gem. We came for dinner and pulled up the menu via a QR code. I got the House Cabernet since I wanted something light to start the night. I ordered the Sherman Club, which came with Cajun-grilled chicken, avocado, wild arugula, honey-bourbon bacon, Cajun fries, lemon basil aioli, pepper jack cheese, vine ripened tomatoes, and a ciabatta roll. I finished most of this delicious sandwich in one sitting while sharing a portion of it. I even got to try the Sherman Burger, which had brisket, King's Hawaiian buns, wild arugula, sambal aioli, vine ripened tomatoes, short-ribs, chuck, red onion marmalade, and gremolata fries. This was a great choice also and an incredible burger. We parked nearby on the street at a location that was a good distance to this restaurant and other fun places on this Blvd. We will certainly be back for another round, especially since they had plenty of TVs that had sports on them! The service was great as well and the staff was so kind!

Sophia S.

Yelp
Came here to catch one of the World Cup games. The short rib Mac was sooo good I would come back for that. Also got their peppermint Irish coffee which was pretty good a little strong but good. The bar tender was very attentive and nice. Plenty of seating as well.

Allison C.

Yelp
Found this spot because it was 5 minutes from the hotel we were statying at, and boy I'm glad we did. We were sat right away and didn't have to wait for a table even on a saturday night. The atmosphere was casual but still nice. Great for families and/or date night. Our server was awesome and gave us great recommendations which was nice as it was our first time there. I ordered the pineapple margaratia (La Reina) and it was amazing. We ordered the pork belly appetizer and it was absolutely delicous. Our entrees were amazing as well. They even had a great kids selection which was perfect for our daughter. The prices were reasonable and our service was great. Very happy we stumbled upon this restaurant. It made our mini vacation that much better!

Morgan D.

Yelp
Food edges up to a wobbly okay. Fine if you're in a hunger emergency, but I wouldn't plan around it. Nice server. Dark hallways. lol.

Ariya A.

Yelp
The Sherman Burger has that great melt of the cheese that only restaurant-quality burgers have. Like when the full top layer of the patty has this thick yellow, molten shape of the cheese. And the cheese has some thickness to it, without becoming runny. Sometimes with melted cheese, it blends in with the sauce or it kinda gets lost in the spongey inner part of the bun. Sherman Burger was enjoyable. Thank you for this!

Te-see B.

Yelp
This is a place that I have been wanting to go to for a while now. It's got plenty of seating inside and a covered patio area at the entrance. I met a few of my girlfriends for lunch and we were excited to check it out. We were greeted and told to sit where ever we liked. We grabbed a booth towards the back. Our server Brittany was very attentive and friendly. We all ordered the Blackened Grilled Salmon Salad with pita bread on the side. They were unusually busy for lunch so Brittany was kind enough to let us know our food might take a little longer. We had a lot of chatting to do so it was all good! It was in the low 90's and with the patio windows open the AC didn't seem to cool the room. Once our food came we were too busy eating our delicious salads to care. The salad had mixed greens, avocados, tomatoes, grilled corn and the salad with a goddess dressing which we switched out for blue cheese. Soooo good! Unfortunately, the flys thought so too! Mid way through lunch, one fly after the other were buzzing around our food. It was a little disturbing and my skilled napkin slapping was missing the mark! We had a great time except for the flys. I would go back again since the food was very good and I liked the ambiance but I am hoping the flys won't return! Lol. * Highlights: food is good, moderately priced, fun upbeat place, plenty of seating, nice bar, plenty of metered parking and a lot in the back. **Lowlights: Flys buzzing around when it's hot out, the acoustics are a little loud

Ryan M.

Yelp
Super friendly waitress and bar tender. Had the hot chicken sandwich and tried a few different beers. A little pricey but nothing crazy. Would try again. Great ambiance and overall vibe.

Bryan J.

Yelp
Absolute worst. $100+ for my order and half of it was not in the bag. 2.15.24 salmon was cold, dry and a tiny portion (pic you can't even see the salmon bottom corner) called and the manager hung up on me twice with no explanation or resolution. No refund or food replacement offered. Avoid this place. . We had to order a pizza to wash down the disappointment of this place No

Jean M.

Yelp
Excellent food Excellent customer service Nice ambiance Don't miss the Moroccan soup of the day and the mezze plate! They take me back to my previous home in the Middle East! Very delicious! Highly recommended!

Yamit Y.

Yelp
Great spot for girls night out! They have a second floor (their "secret bar") where the atmosphere is more intimate. We ordered food and drinks And had a blast. The bartenders were very attentive and made us delicious drinks. Very warm, friendly feel here. You only need to make a reservation if your party is 8 or more people. Parking is pretty tough, street parking is available but hard to find. I found parking in the surrounding neighborhood behind Ventura Blvd.

Amber V.

Yelp
We absolutely love the Sherman. The cocktails are great, food is wonderful. I have never had a bad experience there. And the lighting is on point.

Isabella E.

Yelp
what a wonderful place!! went here for lunch today and have always been wanting to try this place. The sandwich was perfectly balanced and the fries are crispy and flavored. so good. our server erin was a little angel. i hope she gets everything she wants in life!! what a wonderful server. made me miss being a server honestly! my friend got the short rib tacos and they juicy ah heck my abuela would approve. really cute place and love the vibe of the whole restaurant! will definitely be back to try more!!!

Paula F.

Yelp
Great location with great food. Rustic restaurant with a casual and social vibe. Wood accents, a somewhat dark atmosphere, a large bar area and several televisions airing sports games made this the perfect place to hangout, relax and have fun. During my visit, it was not crowded. Parking at a meter was easy and close. The menu was scannable or paper (your choice). The menu had wonderful options. As a vegetarian, I was very happy with my choices. I opted for the Quinoa Burger with a side of Broccolini and Spring Roll Crudo as a shared appetizer. We also ordered a Sherman Burger with fries and beverages. It was my first time having the Liquid Death sparkling water. I added lime. I was surprised how tasty it was considering how it's just sparkling water. As for the food, I was more than happy with it's timeliness, presentation, portion size and taste. The Quinoa Burger was super tasty. I loved how the patty had a slight crunch to it. Service was wonderful. Our server (also a vegetarian) was friendly, helpful and attentive. She also had good menu suggestions. The single gender, multi-user restrooms were clean and functional. Pricing was reasonable. I will definitely be back!

Mary K.

Yelp
Hands down the best wedge salad I've ever eaten in my entire life. My partner got the salmon salad and also raved about it. We also got the brussel sprouts; did you even visit a gastropub if you didn't order them? What I loved best about these is they still actually tasted like a vegetable! Don't get me wrong: saucy sprouts have their place! But it's refreshing to have some that are less so. It's been a hot minute since we've gone to The Sherman - definitely long pre-pandemic. I'm really glad they've come through it ok! We have always loved the upstairs bar. I took a chance on the Sepulveda Spritzer and it's delicious! Gotta love bespoke cocktails with local names. Parking in the area gets a little hectic on the weekend. However they also have valet when it's busy, if you are so inclined.

Shellee B.

Yelp
Food was delicious had the salmon sandwich and a martini that was to die for. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Yelp
It was the perfect time to come here to have a great happy hour. Located on Ventura Blvd, there are many options to choose from, but this was a great choice. The menu selections are many so what to choose? The Sherman burger which is Short-Ribs, Brisket, Chuck, Sharp Cheddar, Sambal Aioli, Vine Ripened Tomatoes, Wild Arugula, Red Onion Marmalade, King's Hawaiian Buns, Gremolata Fries is a great choice and is bursting with flavor. The Salmon burger is also an option which is Fresh Salmon Mix Burger with a Light Panko Crust on a Multigrain Bun with Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado & a Caper Aioli Served with Gremolata Fries. The flavor is just as bursting when you taste this delicious option. Parking is on Ventura blvd or adjacent street. The service is on point as the staff will make sure your needs are met.

Yelp
Honestly the place was fine. The waitress we had was good no complaints. Drinks were okay. Food was okay. Nothing to write home about

Yelp
We came in around 6:30pm on a Saturday night and there was plenty of seating. We got to sit at a booth near the from windows which was nice. There's street parking in front, or you can park for free in the surrounding neighborhoods. We got a bunch of sides to share. We ordered the Gochujang bbq wings and they were delicious! The sauce was flavorful and not too spicy. The sliders were also good, but nothing special. The artichoke dip was extremely cheesy, which I liked, but not heavy on the artichoke. Overall, a good dinner and everything was reasonably priced, I'd come back to try their actual entrees!

Yelp
This place is so cute and nuzzled in between tiny shops. The service is so amazing and the menu has a variety to choose from but each entree and appetizer is made with love and you can tell. The mac n cheese, calamari (best dipping sauce), pork belly is my favs. perfect to walk around after as they have thrift stores nearby.

Yelp
Third time here, but first time having brunch with more than 20 gays. Overall it was a good experience. Considering there were a couple of guests from my table desperate to collaborate with our waiter Erin, the service was very good. Erin was respectul and you can see her doing her best with very demanding guests. Kudos to her, she deserves to be promoted. The ambiance was quiet. We were the only big party, but aside from the gay brunchers, the place was pretty much empty si maybe their brunch needs more promotion or food recently made. The food was not memorable. I ordered the blue crab egg benedicts and they had very good taste but the fries were not crunchy nor fresh. However, with some good crunchy fries they can have a five star rating. Maybe for a next time. I love you Erin! You were the best!

Yelp
The food was good, but the most important thing is TRUE bottomless mimosas! Not that ridiculousness where they bring you just one carafe. The food and service were both great. Great ambience. I went for a brunch with friends. **EDIT** This review was in reference to a different restaurant. My review for The Sherman is that I went close to the end of Happy hour, I ordered a lot of the Happy Hour snacks and they were all delicious. I had two of a happy hour cocktail that was created by my server, and it was delicious!
