The Shrine Collection

One of my family member studying at USC have been renting a master bedroom with Shrine Collection CHEZ RONEE for two years since 2023. This year, 2025 will be her third year staying in Chez Ronee. We have had great experience so far with the staff at Shrine as they are pretty responsive when it comes to having questions or putting in any maintenance request. One thing I wish is an upgrade to the refrigerator. The fridge is a bit old and can be a little small if all roommates cook as it’s the older style fridge, top freezer/ bottom fridge. Utilities are separate from the monthly rent. We paid a little extra so that management team can centralized the utilities fee for us monthly. The apt is a 12min walk to USC village which is convenient. Safety for us is most important. Within the walk from Shrine apt to USC, there is at least 2 “yellow jackets” also known as Dept of Public Safety Security Ambassadors along the way. This location is also within the free Lyft ride zone that USC offers to their students between 6pm to 2am. There is one main door to the apt and then your own apt door. They use the old fashion key system which in a way seems inconvenient at first but it’s actually safer. No one can share the code for visitors to come in the hall. There is a gated parking garage under the apt available to residents but parking pass is purchased for the whole year and not monthly. The master bedroom is a good size that can fit 2 twin, 2 tables and come with 2 built in closet. If one is staying alone, the beds can be pushed in together to make a bigger bed. The apt is furnished so that’s a plus not having to move furnitures in. We have had awesome experience working with Vanessa (our key contact person) as well as Olga recently. There is an option to do individual lease and renting the entire apt lease. Sometimes Shrine also host free events throughout the year like free such snacks, soda or craft day so that the residents can get to know each other. There is a small fee to get Amazon packages delivered safely to their residential mail boxes so we don’t worry about packages getting stolen.

I recently moved in less than a week ago and I LOVE this place. The rooms and living room space are super spacious. I especially love all the natural lighting that comes into all the rooms because of the nice big windows. The apartments feel nice and secure and a plus is that they are so close to campus and the village so everything is so accessible. I also appreciate how everyone here is so responsive to concerns and the Shrine Collection's fun activities make it feel like you are still living on campus residence halls.

I had an amazing experience living here! As a USC student, the location was perfect—just a quick 5-10 minute walk to campus and only 3-5 minutes to reach the village. The management team was incredibly responsive; anytime we had a minor issue, maintenance was on it right away.The living room is spacious and came fully furnished with a TV, table, and couches, which made settling in super easy.The parking structure is top-notch and kept my car safe and secure. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great living experience near USC!

I love the Shrine Collection. It is located so close to campus and has many amenities, including a gym! Also, it's pet friendly with its own pet park. The management is super responsive and they often have giveaways and give its residents free food. The maintenance response time is so quick most of the time less than 24 hours!!

I absolutely loved living here!! As a usc student this was an optimal location as it took 5-10 min to walk to campus and 3-5 min to get to the village. Anytime there was any minor issue with the apartment they speedily sent maintenance people to help. The dishwasher was a saving grace since i have messy roommates. the living room is very spacious with a tv, table, and couches included!! i was worried abt living so close to the shrine auditorium but the noise cancellation of that venue was impeccable and i was never disturbed by the neighboring concerts. On that note, the walls of the actual apartment were thick and i never heard any music or tv from the people living next to me. The parking structure is amazing and keeps your car completely safe from any harm. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking to live here!!!!

Apartments are large in size and a great location, about a 3-4 minute walk to USC campus. The whole street also feels very tropical as well! Biggest upside is definitely the quick maintenance response time, they did a great job.

I have loved living here for the past month. I have a 2b2b at Chez Ronee. It has everything you can possibly need. I love the in-unit laundry and all the appliances that come with the apartment! The living room is huge and comes with a TV which is great. It is such a close walk to all the food places, USC campus, and the village. I love the events they have all the time too!

I’ve been enjoying the apartment itself! Our rooms are great and it’s amazing being so close to campus - Maintenance is responsive and kind! Only negative is that the security cameras haven’t been working for a few months now, and it doesn’t seem like they’ll be back up anytime soon :(

STAY AWAY from this property mgmt rental Company. They are predatory and will harrass you as a tenant over the most common situations that can be resolved amicably! You are better off anywhere else ! Vanessa is very aggressive and was very bias to myself and my family while we were grieving the loss of my loved one. They also charge excessive fees without any rhyme or reason and they are very rude and racist! BEWARE!!

Avoid staying here. They treat you very differently after you sign the lease. I was promised one unit, but after signing, management moved me to a different, worse unit without informing me. And I'm still paying the higher rent for the unit I originally signed for!!! They refused to offer reassignment or any rent adjustment. Be cautious and get everything in writing before signing. Do not trust verbal promises from the leasing office. I've already sought legal advice and recommend others do the same if you face similar issues. Living here has been extremely frustrating and I wish I had researched this company more before signing.

I lived in the Shrine Collection for a year and it was a great experience. My unit was nicely remodeled, felt safe, and any time I needed maintenance it was resolved very quickly. The area is very convenient for students as well. There is ample, gated parking -- so I never had to worry about the safety of my car or having to wait around for a parking spot to open up. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for USC housing.

The Chez Ronnee apartments are everything you'd want in a place to live (modern, clean, spacious) with the convenience of grocery stores, restaurants, and the Metro a few blocks away. The new property manager, Ashley, is incredibly helpful and willing to go out of her way make your life easier. There have been multiple occasions where she has worked on things for me outside of office hours, and I couldn't be more appreciative of that. I wish all have my property managers in the past valued customer service like she has during my time living here.

Avoid staying here at all costs. Terrible management, specifically Klinton. Extremely rude and passively aggressive. They Tacked on a TON of charges for absolutely nothing once the lease was up. They charged me around $500 ALONE for what they described as paint damage but refused to show any proof of damage when requested. We left the place spotless and took care of it but the management here is despicable. STAY AWAY I PROMISE YOU. The expenses at the end will make everything completely not worth it.

I've lived here for two years and have had an incredible time. Everything is run extremely well thanks to the Property Manager, Ashley. I've worked with her on multiple occasions and she's SO kind and helpful. I will miss living here after graduation. Ashley is instrumental in making this property run effectively!

The AC hasn't worked for 4 days and when I call no one picks up. They will shut your water off with 30 minutes notice. Sometimes they won't even tell you if they shut off the mail. You have to pay extra to receive federal mail. The rooms are tiny. I'm mad.

Dingy apartments with an okay location. Too far from the village Trader Joe's. I'm living in West 27th Place for sure. The Shrine Collection is for people who want a mediocre standard of living.

Living at Chez Ronnee has been an awesome experience. It's in a great location and the room and nice and spacious. What has made the experience over the top is the management, especially Joey, the property manager. I have had a few things I've needed to be fixed and it's always done quickly and Joey's even been a huge help when I've lost or forgotten one of my keys. Overall the best place I've lived at USC!

I enjoyed my stay at Chez Ronne, everything was up to par. The staff was nice and helpful when needed. It was nice having a place very close to USC so it was very convenient for school. It was very clean inside and outside the building.

First of all let me start off this place is great because it's so close to campus big plus. The move in process was nice easy no complaints on that and apartments are nice and spacious,but this place is disgusting in the sense of how people are spoken too. Beyond horrible if you hear how this women speaks to her employees is should be changed, her name is orna worst person iv come into contact with.she wouldn't allow me to speak to property manager Joey or the other girl Julie. If heard wonderful things about them, but this lady should be fired how is it possible for someone to speak to her employees, I'm definitely going to call the labor's board to come investigate and encourage others to do say as well who have experience this devilish lady orna, please have this company do something about orna and her downgrading of her employees and screaming at them. Something has to be done asap!!!!!!!
