The Best Seafood Restaurants in San Francisco

"Owners (and sisters) Jazmine and Aluxa Lalicker's oyster bar. Raw items may be the focus, but a handful of fried or baked classics are not to be missed, like oysters Rockefeller laden with Parmesan, Pernod, spinach and cured ham. Round out your feast with something more substantive, like puffy golden hushpuppies filled with shrimp morsels in a light corn batter. Fish tacos are yet another big hit." - The MICHELIN Guide

We celebrated our 35th anniversary here. It was the last day of a 12-day road trip and though we were tired, we were hungry 😂, and made our way to the hotel lobby and stumbled upon this treasure. The place greets you like a warm hug, welcoming and unpretentious. We started with ice-cold oysters and made our way through the catch of the day (me), short ribs on polenta (him), shared a crisp Caesar with briny anchovies, and finished with a goat cheese cheesecake that was light yet creamy. Every dish was delicious. The service—from the manager, to our server (go, Natalie!) to the support staff—was friendly, on-point, and made our experience something special. What a great way to end our vacation and begin our 36th year of marriage. Thank you to the Shuckery! We’ll be back. ❤️

Celebrating our 6 year anniversary with my boyfriend, we stopped by The Shuckery for their Happy Hour. Great drinks and amazing selection for Happy Hour. Our server, Max, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time (1st impressions are important!!) We’ll see you all soon! Highlights: service, decor and obvi the oysters

Petaluma seafood must visit. My teen loved the snow crab and shrimp app and my best bite of the wknd was the fried oysters app. Cocktails and mocktail were totally fire and service was on-point and personable. Beef short-rib with parsnip mash+broccolini was absolutely delicious for a seafood joint. Do not miss this gem of an experience, especially the happy hour. Reservations recommended for dinner and a loud lively atmosphere during HH.

Highlight of our trip to Petaluma to escape the July 4th fireworks. Everything was amazing, and they fit us in at the last minute at a window seat. However, the bar stools at a counter height table were awkward and uncomfortable. They are better for waiting for a table, but should be swapped out with a comfortable option if having dinner at $100+ person.

I so wanted to love the Shuckery...and there is a lot to love: fantastic oysters, warm atmosphere. But the prices for what you get (and I'm talking happy hour!) just don't work. $72 for the plateau promises lots of delights, but the menu doesn't tell you they're microscopic. One inch of crab leg? A spoon of crudo? My husband ordered the fish taco to try and fill up, and sent it back: couldn't taste the tiny piece of fish swimming in mayo. We tried happy hour because frankly going out these days is wallet-suicide. We ended up spending as much as a dinner and leaving disappointed.

Came for dinner with a group. Greeted by amicable staff and quick service. They were able to create a drink not on the menu which was great. The food was fantastic and the cauliflower wings were phenomenal. The fish was also great, sauce and veggies added a good taste. Ambiance was nice - lighting was dim, music was not loud so our group could have a conversation across the table. Free parking on the street or parking garage nearby.

Great little corner joint with good food, friendly staff, a real good happy hour menu and Full Bar too! Lots of Gluten free options. They even have GF clam chowder and GF CALAMARI!

The food was lovely, service was solid, and it was an overall positive experience. They offer daily happy hour from 3-6, I went for that and would again. It's a bit pricey, but the food quality is a fair match to the price.
