The Slice Hut at Neon Gardens

Slices were OK. Dough was pretty good: crispy and chewy and thin, but flavors were dull and slices were too dry, more sauce was needed. They were much better with some more marinara added on the side. Cheese curds were also not good. They’re more like mini mozzarella sticks from the flavor of both the cheese inside and the breading. Just tasted a little bland. The service was pretty great and in a world where extra marinara or any dips are extra, they didn’t charge and were happy to oblige. That is appreciated!

Awesome place! Super cool atmosphere. They have constant themes that change.. Currently Harry Potter theme! Was teenage mutant ninja turtles. Can’t wait to see what they do next! Lots of space inside! Nice dining area for the family, dimly lit bar area providing great date night ambiance. Back room filled with nostalgic games like PAC Man, Galaga, teenage mutant ninja turtles pinball game, big game hunter, two player sit down Mario kart, skeeball, and much more! Such a fun time! The owners are just great people! Treated my son to some ice cream at the end of our meal. Very unique place! Lots of fun for our family tonight! Can’t wait to come back!

The BEST pizza in Chicago, one of the most delicious I've ever had 🤌 🇮🇹 We come here every time we're in Chicago. I recommend. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Children have a great time in the games area.

Great choices and wonderful slices 👌 I had NYC cheese & chicken bacon ranch. Plus, they offer retro gaming at no cost on the property, too. Cool, little bonus that was definitely noticed😎🔥 Come here soon. I'll definitely be back.

Pizza and atmosphere is amazing. Definitely some of the best pizza and closest to true NYC style I’ve had in Chicago. For $7 per slice though, it’s pretty expensive. Paying $15.51 for two slices after tax, it’s a lot and for that reason I don’t really see myself stopping by as much as I may want to for a quick bite. You’re better off ordering a whole pie, but they are excellent. I also can’t wait to go back and explore more of the arcade and bar area as well. EDIT: Owners were nice enough to respond and actually took feedback and acted upon it, lowering prices of pizza! Impressed by their responsiveness and commitment to customers. Definitely gonna go back soon and try some more slices. Big fan of Slice Hut/Neon Gardens!

WORST PIZZA I'VE HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Definitely the worst pizza in Chicago. No flavor, crust tasted like cardboard. Go across the street to Lou Malnati's instead or get a Jack's pizza from the grocery store. Side note: servers were super nice and attentive but man, that pizza. TERRIBLE.

I’m a Chicagoan devoted to deep dish, but there’s no denying the convenience and delicious taste of a slice of NYC-style pizza. Both (giant) slices I had were absolutely phenomenal and purchased for a reasonable price. I cannot wait to revisit once the Neon Gardens area opens up. This place has such a strong potential to thrive.

I came here for a quick slice before my kickball game. Unfortunately, it took much longer than I expected, as I waited like 15 minutes even though they seemed to have slices ready. Once I got my slice, it was a pretty solid slice, but nothing super special.

Ate here twice. Their slices are huge! First time was great. Second time was just as they opened, not as good.

Stopped by as we were walking around the neighborhood. There's meter parking right outside of the store which was convenient. My kid wanted a cheese pizza and ice cream. There were only a few small tables to eat but it seems like they are expanding to a larger area in the back. It was clean inside and the staff were fairly friendly. The slice hut had a variety of pizzas which were reasonably priced and plenty of vegetarian options. You could order by the slice or a full pie. The ice cream scoops were delicious and a huge hit with the kids - i recommend the cheesecake ice cream which had small chunks of cheesecake yum! We will be back soon!

It's great that there is a new pizza slice option in the neighborhood. I've found the others nearby bland and uninteresting. On our first trip it's clear that Slice Shop is providing something unique. A late night stop - there were plenty of options and I went with the ranch chicken and pepperoni slices. The ranch had a loads of toppings and loved the more sweeter tomato sauce on the pepperoni slice. Service was excellent and can't wait for the full bar to open to sit down, have a drink and play some old school video games!

First time here the bar side wasn't open but the side to get food was. barely had any seats to sit down. The pizza was okay later in the day it made my stomach hurt.

Great NY slices. Crispy and chewy at the same time. Walked in and had a sausage slice and a beer. The gelato was delicious. Cashless and warm and friendly. The 80's playlist made me happy.

Went back and tried the slices. This is what a slice shop should be. Good pizza at a good price for the quality and quantity. Is it the best pizza ever? Hell now and it is totally respectable. Its not an easy task to reheat a slice and they need some more work. Keep it up

The spinach pizza roll was delicious! It's a good price too. Staff was friendly and food was ready very quickly.

so excited about this! love all the "by the slice" choices and the spinach pizza pinwheel was A+ (comes with a side of marinara) the guys working were friendly and the TMNT vibes were so fun. really affordable prices. looking forward to the neon garden part opening at the end of the month

Delicious pizza and they have hot honey to put on your pizza. Also, the cashier was handing out BOGO coupons. Get them while you can!

I mean the pizza was good but I think it has potential to be one of the best pizza shops in LP. The part that really turned me off was that the bottom of my pizza was so burnt it was black. Keep in mind I have never left a review and I am not doing this to talk down on the place l genuinely think it has so much potential. I am always a crust lover when it comes to pizza but I couldn't even eat it because of the burned bottom. I know it just opened but I will come back a couple months and hopefully I don't get a burnt pizza again!

OH MY GOD THIS PIZZA PLACE IS DEFINITELY A HIDDEN GEM!! They have the most incredible slices with so many different flavors!!! I will be recommending this place to all my friends.

The pizza options are above average and served hot. A NYC pizza joint feel, a nice crunch from the crust in every bite. This place will be packed with customers once people find out about it. A+ Definitely recommend from someone who has had pizza from many places across the country.
