"The Smashed Pig Gastropub at 509 Fremont Street posted on Instagram that it was closing, saying that “the unfortunate time has come,” but hinting that something else may be in the works. The downtown bar and restaurant opened in 2015, next to the Griffin and what is now Flippin’ Good Chicken, Burgers, Beer. It served burgers and chicken sandwiches, soft pretzels, and chicken wings, plus a colorful variety of cocktails." - Janna Karel

Absolutely amazing! We had a really great time at The Smashed Pig. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Everything was well balanced and cooked perfectly. The deviled eggs were like an Easter treat, the buffalo cauliflower was not overpowered by the buffalo sauce, the artichokes we're a surprising treat and the star of the night was definitely the salmon. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired perfectly with the mashed potatoes. A+!

Google
Spur of the moment idea, and a very good choice for breakfast. Vegas prices (tho not excessively so) but the food is delicious. The twist on eggs Benedict is quite good, all our food was cooked spot on. Service is good, everything tasty, and the vibe was nice for a Fri morning brekkie. Alexander was new, but did an excellent job. Recommend them heartily. Note, the coffee is good, something not easily found imo.

We had a great time with our server Cameron! He was extremely nice and helpful the service was excellent! The food was delicious we enjoyed it all! Bottomless mimosas was on point! And the executive chef was super friendly! 11⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we will be back! Thanks again 😉

Google
Fremont street is amazing with great shops and restaurants. Stopped in here to enjoy a quick drink and bite to eat. I do not like deviled eggs…these were amazing!! Must try. Abe took great care of us! We didn’t know what to get to eat or drink - he created some for us and wow SO good! The hogwash drink is also super fun and worth trying. Will be going back

Google
Low-key Gastropub with a great cocktail lineup, the Bartenders will even make you a custom cocktail cording to your preferences! My favorite part about dining here was the fried chicken sandwich, absolutely delicious!

Google
The pretzel with beer cheese and mustard is a must, big, soft, and buttery, worth the $15, so are the tempura fried green beans. Good salad. Decent Cubano sandwich (not really authentic) but tasted great. Stay away from the pulled pork, too sweet with no depth of flavor and inedible cole slaw. Should have ordered the fish and chips instead, which looked amazing on the next table, especially since the fries were good. Great service. Excellent location.

Google
Deviled Eggs - best I've ever had. Steak Frites with Red Wine - a masterpiece. Bread pudding - the perfect, oh-so-moist ending to the perfect meal. Add in great service and a wonderful atmosphere, and you simply must dine here. Don't miss this one.

Google
Amazing food, delicious beer. I can't recommend this place highly enough. SO good. We started off with the Yum Yum Shrimp, and it was superb, the perfect balance of heat, sweet, and crunch! I had the smashed pig burger and my girlfriend had the pub burger (pictured). One of the best burgers in Vegas! Had the golden road Palisades pineapple beer, and what an awesome compliment to my meal. I will definitely come back here the next time in Vegas.

Yelp
I love this cute small gastropub. It's located off of the Fremont Strip... I've been here several times for their food and who doesn't love bar food right? This place is in walking distance off of the Fremont Strip. I never drive while in Vegas.... c'mon... its safer to uber it everywhere, so I really have no clue if there is parking in the area. I was sat at a high table 2-top right away. The servers are always so nice here and their food is delicious! My favorite is their deviled eggs. I'm just a egg fan so breakfast is definitely my favorite meal of the day. We also got the piggy benny and the crab benny, both delicious dishes. We were so stuffed that we went back to the hotel to nap it off real quick. Don't judge, we were on vacation mode!

Yelp
Stopped into the Smashed pig with a group of friends while downtown! We went for brunch and we all LOVED it. Great location, friendly staff, amazing food and creative cocktails! I ordered the hogwash cocktail! Seriously, this is the cutest little drink. It's made with gin and served in a bathtub with a rubber pig! I also ordered the hangover sandwich, which was amazing, the buttery brioche bun made the whole sandwich for me. I also loved the sausage that was served on this sandwich! 10/10 We also got the breakfast burrito. You cannot go wrong with this option! Great portions and ratios of all the ingredients. Overall, we we all pleasantly surprised with how great this restaurant truly is! Cannot wait to come back soon to try more!

Yelp
First word... adorable! There's definitely a vibe going on here and I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's great! It looks like someone came in and classed up a small warehouse space... by a lot. We were stopping in. For appetizers and cocktails. We chose the yum yum shrimp which was super tasty, and the pretzel bites which were served with a side of Bier cheese and a mustard aioli. The pretzels were soft inside and firm on the outside. Nice not-too-buttery outside a tad too much salt for my liking, but easily pushed off so no biggie. I do wish we would've ordered food because what I saw coming out of the kitchen looked absolutely fantastic! (I opted for a second run drink instead) I will definitely return to give dinner a try !

Yelp
We dined here on Friday, April 7 at 7pm with a reservation for a party of four. We were seated promptly, and let me tell you -- we had a great time! Everyone, from the hostess to everyone during our team dining experience was helpful and friendly. The table shared the Brewhouse Soft Pretzel and let me tell you -- that sweet mustard was amazing! I had the smashed cubano as my entree, and it was by far and away one of the best cubanos I have ever had, excluding one I had in South Florida at one point. Just absolutely delicious! The entree also came with Sea Salt Fries, which were crispy and yummy. No complaints from me at all, and I would definitely return again.

Yelp
My son and i stopped in on a sunday for lunch before walking around fremont street , the bar and restaurant is really cute inside and bigger than it looks from the outside. The sat us as soon as we walked in and we had a burger and a cuban, the food was good and the service was excellent. They have a really good brunch deal with mimosas and delicious food, it's worth the try for another time.

Abby S.

Yelp
This meal was not bad, but not something I'm incredibly impressed with. We ordered a few appetizers, a salad, and a couple of drinks as a sort of early dinner. The drinks were very pretty, but not as delectable as we had hoped. We ordered the hogwash - the drink in a bathtub with the pig - which was so cute! The taste was sort of middle of the road, sort of tasting of just Bitter Prosecco. I loved the presentation, but the drink itself didn't impress me. Our other drink - the Slytherin - was similarly beautiful but polarizing. I didn't care for the drink at all, I felt it was very rich and had a thick mouth feel that clashed with the taste. My sister at the table loved the drink, and finished it all! The food was decent. The avocado and heirloom appetizer was nice but a bit small, I'd only order this if it's for one person, maybe two if you aren't particularly hungry. The cauliflower was a great portion for the table, especially if you like spice!! The strawberry salad did not impress me, it didn't have a big "wow" flavor. But boy oh boy, that monkey bread pudding was delicious. It was free with a Yelp! check-in and a fantastic, very splittable dessert. I loved it and can't recommend it enough if you're stopping in. Overall, I was not as impressed as I had hoped I'd be, but I think this is a sweet place with fun, flashy, "instagramm-y" drinks.

Yelp
I had dinner here last night with two friends before heading to the Smith Center for a show and it was the perfect spot to grab a bite and drinks before our play. My two friends and I all ordered the Shrimp Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup and it was so delicious! The drinks were also really good and beautifully served and the service was great. The restaurant is also very neatly decorated and IG ready. I would definitely visit again if I'm in downtown. For those with mobility issues though just know you have to park around the corner and walk or get quickly dropped off in front of the restaurant as it is on busy Fremont Street really close to the Fremont Street Experience entrance.

Christina P.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Friday afternoon as a group of 6 for a late lunch and there was no wait. It's conveniently located just off Fremont Street. Ordered the Smashed Pig cocktail, fried deviled eggs, and cubano. The cocktail was beautiful and delicious. The deviled eggs were fried and crispy. One of my friends ordered the Slyther In (Harry Potter-themed) and the waitress used a special gun to drop a fog-filled bubble on top! Solid food and drinks coupled with great service at a sweet location. Hit it up next time you're nearby! They serve brunch until 3pm and then switch over to their lunch/dinner menu.

Claudia O.

Yelp
Fun place to hang out, have some drinks and eat yummy food. The fried deviled eggs were very good. The smashed Cuban sandwich was also very good. But my drink was hands down the best and cutest drink I've ever had. The "hog wash" is served in a tiny bathtub with foam, glitter and a little piggy. So cute! All employees we interacted with were very nice, accommodating and attentive. Music was good too. Not too loud at all. So glad we found this pub!

Yelp
Tried to walk into Hexx for Saturday brunch and it wasn't happening. The bf and I started calling other brunch places with good ratings and ended up getting a reservation at The Smashed Pig. We took an Uber to the restaurant, which is in the Fremont District. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived. There was no one at the front desk, so we stood around for a few minutes until someone came up front. I told the host my name for the reservation and she starred blankly at the list and started shaking her head. Meanwhile, I could see my name at the top of the list... For some reason, we were crossed off, even though we were exactly on time for the reservation I had called in 30 minutes beforehand. Ok... She said it would be a wait and went to the back. Meanwhile, 3 or 4 other parties filed in behind us and were waiting and waiting. When the host came back, she said "Oh, shit" and seemed frazzled. Again - there were only like 3 parties in the entire space and we were still waiting. Needless to say the front of house operations were whack. Once we finally got seated, things got better. Our party of 3 was seated in the back room and we were greeted by our server. We all ordered the unlimited mimosas and they said we could order one flavor at a time because they came in a carafe. No problemo! Unfortunately, they were out of the "cool" flavors like peach and guava, so we ended up with the mainstream pineapple, orange and cranberry. Seems like bad planning for the start of weekend brunch, but oh well. They kept the carafes coming and we each consumed 1 to ourselves by the end of our meal :-) For food, I ordered the Smashed Cubano sandwich that came with fries. It was pretty flavorful - no complaints. I couldn't eat it all, so my boyfriend happily downed the rest. I also checked in on Yelp and got free monkey bread, which was cool. By that time, I was kind of full, but we all ate a bit and it was a sweet ending to our brunch meal. The server came by at a good clip and we never ran out of mimosas - a big deal to me if you're paying for unlimited. The food was good and I was happy that we were able to make a last minute reservation on a Saturday morning. If they get their host operation up to snuff, they'll go from good to great!

Yelp
I would give 5 stars but my only issue was the music was too loud! In fact, while my friends and I were sitting there it was turned up 3 times!! We had to shout at each other like we were in the club at 2 a.m. We did ask if it was normally this loud and were told "Pretty much." That aside, the food is absolutely worth it!. The mimosas are well priced for brunch, for $25 you can have bottomless ones for 90 minutes. Bring a group and enjoy. Just for checking in we got free monkey bread! Highly recommend it!! Overall I had a good time.

Mitzi H.

Yelp
Amazing amazing amazing! You definitely pass by it? Not thinking much but honestly this place was everything! The music was great, service was fantastic (thank you case and crew), and the food was absolutely delicious. We were a party of 10 and we all enjoyed our food + atmosphere ! The pretzels were beyond amazing, they literally fall off the plate, the jalapeños are spicey but good and the burrata salad with shrimp was to die for. Honestly if I'm ever in LV, I will be returning! Thank you the smashed pig!

jessica p.

Yelp
Food drinks and servers were all great. We went early afternoon so luckily not too busy. Music was great. Literally no complaints. Pb&j shot I would highly recommend it's delicious

Yelp
Finally got a chance to visit this spot.. located in the Fremont Street area. I found a seat at the bar & was greeted right away by a very friendly bartender. I ordered a pear cider and cubano sandwich w/fries. The sandwich was good, all the right flavors, good bite on the bread. They have a happy hour menu, an extensive drink & food menu .. even though I had previously seen the menu, it was still hard to decide, so many yummy choices Upon checking in on Yelp I got a check in offer for free monkey bread. Im in!! It arrived slightly burnt.. it's a big order and I was able to nibble on the middle pieces. Luckily I was full from the cubano, the flavors were good, definitely big enough to share Service was top notch, bartender checked on me often & refilled my water. Fun environment, plenty of parking in paid public parking lots near by ($3/hr for the 1st hour).

Dani S.

Yelp
Food here was absolutely delicious! Compliments to the chef. Came here recently for restaurant week and it definitely did not disappoint. Ordered the three-course meal which included an appetizer and entrée and a dessert. The restaurant was packed when I arrived even though I had a reservation. Reservation highly recommended, this place is super popular. Cool Decour inside the restaurant. I got a table in the back and my server was nice and friendly and very accommodating. I didn't have to wait very long for the food to come out. Presentation was on point, plating was beautiful. The food was absolutely delicious no complaints whatsoever on any of the items. The flavors were amazing but without being overpowering. From where I was sitting I could see the open concept kitchen which was a nice thing, I really love watching people cook. For dessert you absolutely have to get the monkey bread, it's got I just a gazillion calories, but well worth it. Overall a great experience, highly recommend!

Yelp
My husband and I ate lunch here while passing through Las Vegas on a road trip. It was absurdly hot the day that we visited, and my husband and I were only doing outdoor dining at the time. The restaurant did have outdoor dining available (two tables), but I would recommend indoor dining here if it's hot, as we could barely sit outside comfortably. The waitress brought us big glasses of iced water which we really needed. I saw that other restaurants were doing overhead water misting for diners sitting outside, but the Spotted Pig did not have this. For lunch, my husband got the smashed cubano, while I got the blackened salmon. The food was good, but not amazing. Both dishes were made well, and I liked the corn relish that came with my salmon. Would recommend for a solid lunch place that isn't too fancy or expensive.

Breana B.

Yelp
So happy I finally decided to stop by this new spot. I saw that they have brunch on Fridays with unlimited mimosas so I couldn't resist. We arrived early and were the only ones but by noon the place filled up. There's seating inside and outside. Not alot of seating space. There were alot of good food items on the menu and the bartender was very helpful in giving us his honest opinion on his favorites. I went with the Crab Cake Benny and also had the unlimited mimosas. The Benedict was great, even the potatoes were good! I saw a few drinks being made that looked amazing so I can't wait to go back to try some regular menu items and cocktails. I'm in Vegas often so I'll definitely be back

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Stopped in on our way to the airport to have a quick bite after researching places. We happened to fall upon Happy Hour, so we decided to have a few of the small plates. We went with the fried cauliflower, fried deviled eggs, pork belly tacos, deviled eggs, wings, and the heirloom tomato, avocado and hearts of palm salad. Our waiter was also one of the bartenders, but he was fabulous. The music was bumping and the ambiance was good. I thought the food was really good, especially the tomato salad and cauliflower. I would go back if in town and hang out have a beer, and order some more small plates. You should definitely give it a try when near Fremont Street!

Morgan Z.

Yelp
We stopped by The Smashed Pig Gastropub for brunch and we had a great experience! We sat inside, which was great to hear your of the heat, and the restaurant wasn't too busy until a little bit later on the day for brunch on a Saturday (busy around noon). We tried the Bloody Mary and bottomless mimosas for brunch drinks - yum! And for food we got the pork belly benedict and the country fried steak with egg. Both dishes came with crispy roasted potatoes. We really liked both dishes and would highly recommend! They were pretty big for both of us and we couldn't finished them. We would definitely recommend checking out this place for brunch!

Cee S.

Yelp
What a great spot! Wanted to try something new on Fremont so we stopped on by. Cute entrance when you walked through and we were quickly seated. You get a free monkey bread dessert if you check in through Yelp. For drinks, I had the Slyther In and it was so good and aesthetic. I ordered the deviled eggs which are crispy and kind of messed me up texture wise. I also got the fish and chips which was the best I've had. My wife ordered the Beyond burger and it looked like a sub sandwich. Fries were also great. Will be back soon.

Marcie A.

Yelp
The Smashed Pig is a brunchy place on Freemont St The seating area is very small in the front but there are a few tables in the back and outside they serve AYCD Mimissas, where you get the champagne at your table and there are several different mixes. peach, pineapple, cranberry, and OJ.. don't worry if you feel you want more but not a whole other bottle of champagne, they will also fill it behind the bar. Glass by glass There is a 90-minute limit but if you are polite and tipping, I don't know how strongly it is enforced. We had a reservation but it didn't look like we needed it but tables did fill up fast. Hands down the best crab cake benedict I ever had, served with potatoes and toast. My sister got stuffed french toast which was to die for. Needless to say we will be back.

Alan L.

Yelp
Good food and cocktails on Fremont Street. The room is relaxed and the staff is helpful. The Bacon Wrapped Shishito Peppers were outstanding. The Smashed Cubano Sandwich was a bit disappointing.

Ryan G.

Yelp
Drinks were good and the bartenders provided great service. Originally planned to eat dinner here, but anywhere offering a craft pub burger and charging extra for cheese immediately loses my business. That's just cheap and greedy.

Chandra J.

Yelp
Came here with more than a few friends for dinner to end a crazy Bachelorette party and we enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service. The restaurant is pretty large and long with an "L" shaped bar at the front with several tables continuing to the back with an open kitchen. They have two mixed bathrooms I got their bacon, lettuce, strawberry, and tomato sandwich with a side salad instead of the fries. I ended up having some fries as a friend ordered a side or them. They were delicious along with the sandwich that unfortunately I did not end up finishing; but made a great snack for the next day. I filled my stomach with a lot of the pretzel and the fries that were again delicious. Both were easy and seasoned just enough to make you want to keep eating more. I definitely would come back for more of the food and the relaxes atmosphere. Everyone was very nice and welcoming.

Andre W.

Yelp
We came back for the second time and it out did the first time! We brought Frieda with us and had bottomless mimosas again, and literally drank 6 bottles, the waitress was amazing and the hostess was super cool too she let us use a phone charger lol. the food is amazing I had the burger and I will say it's a high quality burger with jalapeño bacon omg the best bacon I've ever eaten.we also shared the French toast which I enjoyed, our friends got the shrimp and grits and a salad . I said it the first time and I'll say it again I will definitely be coming back!

Nai L.

Yelp
The service was amazing and the food was delicious when we stopped by for brunch on a Sunday. It's small so I def recommend making reservations. We tried the Cuban sandwich which was good. The bread was toasty on the outside but gooey and delicious in the inside. The citrus grilled chicken salad was refreshing and had great flavor. The pub burger was good; nothing extraordinary but still delicious. My brother said the chicken fried steak was delicious and wished he had a bigger portion cause he devoured it before we can sneak a try lol. Of course we tried the Hogwash and it was a little too sweet for my liking but it's adorable. We also tried the monkey bread (delicious) and the deviled eggs were good but we all agreed they are missing a crunch on top since the filling is so creamy. We will def be back and next time for dinner so we can try more menu items

Mindi A.

Yelp
Small space. Very dark inside, decor is kind of industrial. We had reservations for brunch and were sat in the bar area. The bartender was our server. Very nice guy. We enjoyed the shrimp appetizer. Bloody Mary was good. Neither of us were very impressed with the entrees. We atethe egg dishes but neither of us ate any of the smashed potatoes. Bathrooms dirty and it had just opened for the day.

Amy M.

Yelp
Steph, makes the best cocktails ever. Abe, Jackie, all amazing. Our go to place for a bite to eat! 100% Recommend

Yelp
The Smashed Pig and Gastropub, what a delightful place! My best friend and I were working our way through a bar crawl downtown last night when we realized that we may need a little food to keep the party going. We walked down to the foodie area of Fremont and came across The Smashed Pig. Since we're always down for a good gastropub we walked in and asked if they had room for two, most places need reservations now. The hostess said they did have space and she would make us a reservation real quick before seating us. The restaurant is small (quaint) with a bar running the length of half the restaurant. We were seated at a sanitized table and given the Menu to scan on our phones. SOOO many items on that menu sounded fire! We seriously couldn't even decide on an appetizer! There was also a drink special menu on the wall of the bar. My best friend told me there was an Apple Cider Mule, that's all she had to say. We both ordered one, mine with rum and hers with bourbon. 10/10 those were SO good!!! The food! We finally decided on the Yum Yum shrimp for the appetizer. It came out pretty quickly and was so pretty, check my pics. :) the taste, sweet and spicy and all the right flavors. 10/10. Neither of us could decide on a main meal either ;) were pretty good at sharing and both wanted the same items so I ordered the Fish and Chips and she ordered the Smashed Cubano. The plates came out and were very good portions! My plate had two large perfectly cooked pieces of fish on it, which I gave her one. My best friends plate was large and the sandwich was hot and melty. she gave me half her sandwich and we went to town! The fries, so simple but warm, crunchy and cooked/seasoned perfect! Seriously, so good! The fish was so good, crunchy, golden brown, flavorful! The sandwich, soooo tasty! The bread it was on was delicious, the melted sandwich was incredible. 10/10 for both plates seriously! We both finished our meals so happy that we chose to eat here! Customer service was great, the bar tender works her butt off making drinks and bringing food to your table. The hostess was also great getting us in last night! I would highly recommend The Smashed Pig!!

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Fun little thing lace near Fremont. Great service, great food and drinks. Fun off the strip

Adrienne M.

Yelp
Super Cute Place! It was my first stop on the list! So drinks and a starter! The bartender was super nice! She had a very nice selection of Tequila! My fav! Ordered Casa Amigos on the rocks and shared a few apps with sister! Snacked on pretzels with a cheese and mustard sauce for dipping! Also Shrimp! I don't remember the name but they were on the appetizer menu! Very very good! I'll be back like Arnold says! Fun fun fun! Oh and you can people watch from the patio!

Yelp
The Fremont Street Experience has stepped up its game! The trendy food options are amazing Here's another great spot to try while in Las Vegas!

Nichole H.

Yelp
We stopped in to the Smashed Pig for some pregame apps before a night out on Fremont. It did not disappoint. Great food and atmosphere, and although we didn't try any of the mixers (we are beer/cider drinkers) they sounded delicious as well! Soft Pretzel - 4.5 stars - Good pretzel with Beer Cheese and Mustard dipping sauce. Docked a half point as the beer cheese was not quiet as expected (although we're from WI the bar is high lol) Deviled Eggs - 5 stars - Really innovative and delicious. First time having a deep fried deviled egg, the texture is to die for! Monkey Bread Pudding - 5 stars - We got the Monkey Bread free with a Yelp check-in. Definitely worth it and tasty!

Shalini G.

Yelp
I am so glad that I searched for spots on Yelp before leaving home. We went to Vegas for our friends wedding ...the night before he asked me to find a restaurant for everyone to go eat at. awesome! I had already found this as my top choice within walking distance of our hotel. I made a reservation and we arrived with 4 of our 6 people. They immediately checked on our table. Our other 2 folks arrived and at the same time our table was ready! we were seated in the back room. tables were nicely spaced and servers were taking precautions with mask etc... the a/c felt nice on this hot summer night. I had the steak frites....hubby had salmon. we also started with deviled eggs (they were deep fried...who knew this was a thing...and a delicious thing) I made hubby get the Smashed Pig in the Tiki cup (I wanted the cup and I knew he would enjoy the cocktail made with whistle pig (his favorite). food all had amazing flavor, although grossly overcooked (hence the loss of one star) ...I order steak medium rare and it came well done. Salmon was also overcooked. Surprisingly both tasted great. Service was great atmosphere was casual yet refined I love my piggy mug!!!

Rhondi S.

Yelp
Went in for brunch. I tried to order the "Hangover Egg Sandwich" but with eggs over easy instead of scrambled, I like drippy open faced sandwiches. Our server came back and said the cook "won't do it", really, he has sauté pans and cooks over easy eggs all day long. Saw that I was not happy, the hostess went back to talk to the cook, she came back and said, no, the cook "won't cook it that way". Wow, simple request. So I ordered the "two eggs any style" over easy on the toasted English muffin and with cheese - same as the Hangover. They messed the order up anyway, got bacon, not what I ordered. Servers are good, helpful, 4 stars, the kitchen needs new cooks, ones without attitudes!!! Server came back and apologized for the kitchen, said the cook could have done my order, what a piece of poo.

Randy D.

Yelp
Atmosphere it's a small place, made smaller by the limited capacity rules. From room has a long bar and some high tops with a back room consisting of smaller tables with some booth type seating against the wall. Large mural on wall is cool and I love an open kitchen. Like to watch chefs work. Food- stole the show. Everything we tried was out of this world. Since this was my first time here we tried a lot of appetizers. We both had the fish and chips for dinner and it was exceptional. Yum yum shrimp- a nice pile of peeled shrimp covered in a spicy firecracker sauce. Shrimp cooked perfectly and sauce just right Bacon wrapped shishito peppers- you get 4 peppers wrapped in crispy bacon and they were super tasty. Atomic cauliflower- a spicy roasted treat. Served with a knife for cutting the head up. Was just right amount of spice Soft Pretzel - pretty standard fare served with a cheese sauce and a dipping mustard. Was good but paled compared to everything else Deviled eggs- not your usual deviled eggs. These had a crispy batter outside, I assume they were deep fried or something was awesome and something I had not ever had before Fish and chips- being from MA, we've spent years wandering the desert looking for fish and chips like back East. We saw the pics on yelp and it looked like a solid fish and chip, so we came in and ordered 2 plates. We doused it with malt vinegar and dug in. Batter was crispy and yummy, fish was lite and cooked perfectly. Very good dish. Fries were good as well. Was not disappointed Steak frites- someone always has to be different! Steak was a nice cut and cooked perfectly covered in a chimichurri sauce. Dessert- we couldn't decide on dessert so we got a couple. The cheesecake chimichanga and the house specialty monkey bread. Cheesecake was good, served with a scoop of ice cream. The monkey bread stole the show. Was warm and gooey and cinnamony and delicious. Could easily be breakfast. Was excellent Service- service was good our waitress was attentive and always checking in. We wanted for nothing Drinks- cocktail service here is top notch. We had to try the hogwash you see in all the pictures. Was very good. A nice gin and lychees flavor with I assume an egg wash foam to make it look like a soapy tub. Don't forget you get to keep the pig! Nice selection of beers as well, I had a fat tire ( wanted an 805 draft but drafts were down at the moment) with my fish, a perfect compliment to the meal This place is out of this world good. We've been on a roll downtown with good solid restaurants! Drinks Dessert Service

Yelp
This was a cute little find in Downtown Las Vegas, not far from the Fremont Experience. (It wasn't too busy; but we made a reservation on Open Table for 15 minutes later on a Saturday night to get the points.). We were seated immediately and a waitress approached as soon as we were at our table. There was a cute list of specialty cocktails called "pig" tails; but my husband and I both decided on a beer instead. I wanted a wheat beer and our waitress was happy to first provide me with a sample of the one they had on tap. It was good and I ordered one. For our meals I ordered the Strawberry Fields salad with added chicken and it was heavenly. It had just the right amount of strawberries and there was a large portion of perfectly grilled chicken added on top. My husband had the Smashed Cubano sandwich and he said it was as good as any he's had in South Florida, where he's from. It also came with an ample side of French fries. The Smashed Pig is a nice change of pace from the craziness at the casinos downtown. Try it.....you'll be glad you did!

Yelp
Went here on a college football Saturday afternoon. It has a quirky yet cool vibe. The service was exemplary. Jasmine was our server, and she never missed a beat. We sat in the back, where it didn't feel as cramped as the front near the bar. They could really use a couple of TVs on the wall in the back room instead of mirrors. I get it...the mirrors make the space look bigger, but college football was on lol. Overall, it's a great vibe and excellent experience. If you're on Fremont, you must try.

Yelp
This place is located downtown and it's so cute! I came here with my friend and his burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. It was a little pricey, but worth every cent. I ordered the French toast and it had this strawberry compost that was the perfect add on. The bottomless mimosas come with your own bottle of champagne as well. It was really quiet when we came but definitely a pleasant experience.

Yelp
The Mrs. and I rolled into Vegas around noon yesterday and tracked over to the Smashed Pig. We sat at a high top table next to the bar that gave us a great view of Fremont Street. The Smashed Pig sits in a small space. There is a bar area in front with tables along one wall and a few tables in a small patio area. In the back of the restaurant, there is a more formal dining area. We opted to sit at one of the high top tables near the patio area. Rachel, who was also the bartender, dropped off menus and took our drink order. The menu at Smashed Pig is typical pub fare with a few twists. For instance, bacon wrapped peppers are offered. They are Shishito peppers stuffed with chive cream cheese and beautifully wrapped in bacon. When you bite into them you get a perfect marriage of salty and spicy. Aside from the peppers, we ordered the deviled eggs. The egg whites are fried to a crispy goodness and the yolk is perfectly whipped and served with pickled peppers. For my main dish, I ordered the Smashed Cubano which consisted of ham, mojo pork, Swiss cheese, Cuban aioli, and pickles. It had a rich flavor and the size of the sandwich was very manageable. It is big enough to fill you up, but not make you feel miserable afterwards. The Mrs. ordered the Burrata and Apple Salad and she loved it. It was beautifully prepared with gala apple, pumpkin seed pesto, olive oil, burrata cheese, and baby greens. Rachel did a great job at managing the people at the bar and making sure we were taken care of. She also had a food runner that was helping her as well that was very friendly. I can only imagine how packed the Smashed Pig gets on a Friday or Saturday night. The only annoying thing was people who weren't diners walking into the restaurant to use the bathroom. They should at least have the decency to stop and have a drink. Just a tip, DON'T pay attention to the walking directions yelp gives you. They are WAY OFF. You end up being directed to the outside wall of a parking structure. The Smashed Pig sits next to the Griffin and across the street from Evil Pie in the Fremont East District.

Yelp
This place was FANTASTIC! I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was. It appears to be just a little hole in the wall on Fremont but honestly wonderful food. I had the crab Benedict and it was TO DIE FOR! Also; the free monkey bread you get for checking in on Yelp is scrumptious. The bartender was lovely. Super sweet guy, chatty and patient. I would 1000% recommend this place for brunch if you're in town!

Yelp
I noticed that they had some unique dishes on their menu. Yay! Not the same old same old. It's a small place with lots of character. We sat at the bar and enjoyed all the old Las Vegas postcards on the bartop. My Bloody Mary was awesome and the Piggy Benny's green chili "Hollandaise" sauce was lick your plate delicious. The Deviled Eggs and Atomic Cauliflower (a whole head) were flavorful vegetarian choices for me. If you're exploring Fremont Street, I suggest you go here for a meal and drink.

Yelp
Downtown Las Vegas is undergoing a huge rejuvenation and The Smashed Pig is at the heart of the Fremont St. I made a Saturday brunch reservation here to get off the Strip for a bit. I didn't need a reservation though this place was definitely bustling. We were seated right away and given the ReTox menu (their brunch menu), which includes $16 bottomless mimosas. They come in multiple flavors. I recommend the guava. Based on prices on the Strip, that's a GREAT deal. We ordered two appetizers: the deviled eggs and the bacon-wrapped peppers. Both were very tasty--potentially my favorite part of the meal. On the menu, they star the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs, naming it a favorite, so I had to try. I enjoyed it! I feel it could have a little more flavor--more spice, more salt, more pizzaz. It was tasty, but not a "holy sh**" moment. My friend enjoyed the Tuna burger, though she had similar thoughts on the flavor. All in all, I'd go back again!

Yelp
Wait what!? I wasn't ready for the deliciousness that came from the kitchen of this place ! Best French toast ever ! It's stuffed with this creamy flavorful cream cheese that you just have to finish ! No syrup needed! Mimosas were sooooo good! We had pineapple ,guava and pomegranate ( judge ya mama) the pomegranate was my least favorite but all very filled with flavor and the champagne wasn't overly dry! Can we talk about their jalapeño smoked bacon!! Baybee! Don't you dare pass that up! Smoky slightly spicy and just delicious!!! Here's my one pass. The bacon wrapped peppers were a miss. The bacon itself was fantastic but I didn't get much of the chive cream cheese action they promised. That's the only item I'd pass on! Finally the hangover breakfast sandwich was nothing short of pure heaven , brioche , sausage, cheese tomato's so melty and soft bro! Gooooooo ! Finally If you check in using the Yelp app you get a free monkey bread !! Done reading ? Cool go make a reservation and enjoy!!

Yelp
We spent the weekend eating all the burgers in the Vegas area. While in the Fremont district we picked this spot out and were pleasantly surprised by the burgers here. We started out with an order of buffalo wings and bacon wrapped peppers. Both were good. The peppers were wrapped in crispy bacon and filled with melty cream cheese. MMMMmmmm. I picked out the shroom burger and had it lettuce wrapped. The burger was so good, it's the house blend of beef and shrooms, so flavorful.

Yelp
Food was overcooked! I got the Piggy Benny. The taste was good, but my eggs were overcooked. You'd expect a poached egg to still be runny when you break it open. My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak and the meat was dry. The breading slid off the meat, and not enough gravy. The saving factor was the service. Everyone was nice and service was great!
