Where to Eat Near the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC)

"Chef Andy Husbands’ barbecue joint (which has two locations in Boston proper and one each in Cambridge and Somerville) has a great whiskey lineup and beer list (with a number of cheap options) and serves some of the best smoked meats in the city. Get the burnt ends, and wash them down with a Fiddlehead IPA." - Tanya Edwards

The Best Things Infatuation Boston Ate This Year

"Roasted Duck No matter how it’s cooked, we’re big fans of duck. But there’s something really special about Chinese barbecue duck, and few places do it better than Best Bar B Q in Chinatown. Somehow, they consistently produce a bird with crispy skin and moist meat, which is quite a feat. And when served on top of some rice that’s drenched in the ever-present mixture of drippings and soy sauce at Chinese barbecue spots, we think it’s one of the best meals you can have in Boston, which is exactly why it’s one of our favorite spots in Chinatown." - joel ang

The atmosphere is exactly how you’d picture a BBQ restaurant, down to the napkins- rustic wooden and metal decor, smelled like meat and wood. Loved how they provide all the sauces and utensils in a bucket without having to ask. The menu is easy to read with an extensive selection of alcoholic beverages & flavors. I like how they had a separate section for fountain and canned drinks, most places don’t list if the sodas are in a can and you only find out when they bring it to you. I liked the watermelon slice, a nice touch. The prices were good for a sit down place <15 for the pulled pork bbq sandwich and mac n cheese. Our waiter, Robert, was friendly and the service was quick!

Google
Really nice place. The atmosphere is what you would expect for a bbq place. Cool buckets for your sauces and silverware. Food was really good. The spicy habanero wings were spot on. Nice little spice on them as well. Well smoked, and tender to eat. Smoked turkey was hot and juicy. Spicy links were good as well. The cornbread was really good. Potato salad was decent and beans were good as well.

Google
CAVEAT: We came to Smoke Shop the day after Pax East, and they were out of many of their meats. We could basically have the chicken or the chicken. Despite the reduced number of items on the menu, and despite it NOT being crowded, everything moved slowly. Now, the chicken- it was good! We all got variations of the pulled chicken, and all variations worked. I really liked the side of Bacon Collards with my sandwich, it was surprisingly sweet (i should have known, they called the molasses on the menu).

Google
The food was delicious. Wings, ribs, pulled pork and BBQ chicken. We're all tender and moist and amazingly seasoned. The BBQ wing apitizer and Mac and cheese bites were killer. Highly recommend and also highly recommend getting a reservation ahead of time. Place is very popular and sometimes only does reservations only no walk-ins.

Google
Love this place for bbq in the northeast. They serve local bourbon (the picture shows Penelope though) and their plates and sandwiches are always fantastic and never dry. Servers are always friendly.

Google
Great service. Staff really attentive and helpful. Food was good BBQ but definitely a bit too spicy for my tastes. Burnt ends and pit beans a little too much for me, although the cooling coleslaw goes well with them. The pulled chicken was great, and I loved all of the sauces that were given to us. The gold medal one was delicious. Wanted to call out the star of the show for me, which was the epic brussells. Sprouts are on a lot of menus in Boston but these have by far been my favourite.

Vincent James

Google
Boston. Not going for BBQ around here. But was pleasantly surprised at this gem. Diverse menu. Down to earth service. Nice sized place. My half and half wings were divine

Google
The food was amazing and the service was above and beyond. Hubs and I spilt the Pit Boss plate and it was plenty of food for 2. We both say the mashed potatoes was the best we ever had.

Yelp
Ordered: Pint of Jack's Abbey "Post Shift Pilsner" (~$8) Pit Boss (~$32): 3 meats: 2 brisket, 1 burnt ends; 3 sides: crinkle cut fries, pimento mac & cheese, and cornbread; with pickles and watermelon Add-On Three Famous Wings (~$5) Aya's take: The Smoke Shop offers a wide variety of BBQ meats, beers, and whiskey - you will leave here full one way or another! We decided to get the Pit Boss so we can try more of their menu offerings. The brisket was super tender, smokey, and fatty. The 3 sauces which were each described as sweet, spicy, and mustardy complimented the meats well. I particularly enjoyed the sweet one. The burnt ends were doused in sauce which made it hard to enjoy the burnt ends for what they are. It's usually a sweet, smokey, and almost candied. The sauce it was in was so overpowering that I couldn't appreciate the burnt ends for what they were. The sides were also pretty mediocre. The crinkle cut fries were fresh, salty, and crispy while the mac & cheese and cornbread were both pretty dry and lacked flavor. I liked the pickles which added a fresh, crisp contrast in taste. I could've used a lot more considering the amount of meat there was. The Add-On Wings are a must if you want to try their Famous Wings without getting a full order of them. These were smokey, juicy, sweet, tender - just a beautiful burst of flavors in every bite! This is a must-order here. No BBQ is complete without a pint of beer! The Post Shift Pilsner was light, had a smooth texture, and tasted great. Decent meal with some hits and some misses!

Yelp
I'll preface this review by first saying that I LOVE the FOOD at the Smoke Shop BBQ. Usually, I get one of their combo plates; either the Pit Boss or the Pit Crew. My favorite meat is easily their brisket or burnt ends. Their BBQ is always so flavorful and the meat is nice and tender. Their wings are really tasty as they're smoked and tossed in a sweet yet spicy sauce. I've never been disappointed by the food, it's always delicious! I've been to this location a handful of times as well. On my most recent visit, I was incredibly disappointed by the service we got. Reading some recent reviews it seems like other Yelp-ers have had some disappointing experiences with the service as well... so perhaps it's something with this location. We went to the Smoke Shop on a Saturday at around 2:30 pm and it wasn't busy. There were only 2 or 3 other tables and they were on their way out. However, once we got seated, it took about 15 minutes for us to be attended to... and it wasn't even from our server. We were seated near the bar so I think it was the bartender or maybe the barback who gave us our water. At that point, we were ready to order and I mentioned it to the person who gave us our water. He originally said that he wasn't our server but he'd take our order which I appreciated because we never got officially greeted by our server. At the end of our meal, we didn't even know who to ask for the bill! We got our food delivered by two different people. Once someone stopped by to ask how our food was, we were almost done eating. It also took a while to get our bill since they got busy once we were about to leave. I understood that since it was busy, it was going to take a minute, but it was impossible to flag down literally anyone. At one point, I was debating on just going up to the host stand and asking to pay there since it was taking so long. Overall, I think the Smoke Shop BBQ has fantastic BBQ that is incredibly flavorful and tasty. However, based on my recent experience, the service doesn't match up to how good the food is. The vibes here are very family-friendly (there are usually a good amount of families here) and can get on the louder end if you're coming for dinner. Parking is tough because it's in Seaport, but that's to be expected.

Yelp
Food is great, excellent service and a fun vibe but docking two stars for a hidden 3% "kitchen appreciation" fee. Either increase your prices accordingly as on the menu or explicitly state this to your customers.

Yelp
The smoke shop is one of our favorite bbq places in the area. We have been going here for at least 3-5 years. Since its opening, we have slowly noticed the meat quality going downhill. Stuff doesn't seem as fresh and meat is TOUGH. However, the food and drink here is excellent. To start, we always get the fermented habanero wings with a few sides of their homemade ranch. This is always a 10/10. We then get the pit boss, 3 meats, 3 sides. The past few times (including this time) the brisket and the burnt ends are borderline inedible. They are extremely tough to chew and taste as though they were previously cooked and now reheated... very disappointing. The ribs were good but still tasted tough. For sides we get the Mac and cheese, cornbread, and the baked beans. Those were all excellent. The drinks and desserts here and fairly par for the course. There is a TON of whiskey to choose from which is great for whiskey drinkers. All in all, we would give this place roughly a 3/5. Meats need caring for and there is a clear lack of freshness in what's supposed to be the star of the show!!!

Yelp
Great service, very honest store. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Food smells delicious!!!

Yelp
This ain't Texas... I know, but I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere is fun and lively in the Seaport district and good for big groups. Food arrived in cute trays but to our dismay the brisket was too dry and the ribs were equally tough to eat. Kids didn't care for the Mac and cheese but did love the slice of watermelon. Maybe it was a bad day for the cooks but we left hungry and went hunting for dessert down the street.

Yelp
Stopped in on our way to the airport for a bite. We had the baby back ribs, coleslaw, and baked beans. The ribs were sauced with a sweet barbecue sauce, which was OK. The ribs seemed a little thin and the ends were a bit too done. Coleslaw was OK, nothing special as I thought it would have more spice to it since it supposed to be spicy coleslaw. Baked beans again were OK. The portion was small on the baked beans for sure. Also had some B&B pickles I think which were good. Pilsner beer was good. Would we go back... I don't think so.

Yelp
I've had some less-than-stellar experiences at some other TSS locations. Add to that the heavenly BBQ at Goodstuff Smokehouse (In Blackstone - 100% worth the trek), and TSS had some big shoes to fill. While not S-Tier, this location left me pleasantly surprised and honestly somewhat impressed! Perhaps the 'secret' is when I ordered the Brisket Plate, I requested it fatty. True to my request, the cut of brisket was on the fatty side, tender, flavorful, and savory! The sides of pickles and cornbread, while not mind-blowing, were very good! The plate also came with some pickled veggies (onion and jalapeños), a wedge of watermelon, and a slice of Texas toast (making the cornbread extra). The service was quick, and the portions were large (especially for lunch), making it a very fair value.

Yelp
We could smell the smoke shop and sauce from the main street! We decided to give it a try. There was a Sunday special for a full rack of ribs, ordered that and an extra side of briskets to share. Interesting and varied kids menu! The rib dish was huge and good for more than 2 people! Brisket was tender

Yelp
First time visitor. Would def return. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good for groups and fam-friendly. Full bar. Ordered wings and brisket. Neither of us cared for the zucchini salad, other wise the food was tasty. The brisket had a vinegary flavor, but the other party like it. Wings were smoked and on point. Tried a hot wing and was not a fan. Helen was our server. She was good enough.

Dustin L.

Yelp
Great BBQ for Boston wouldn't expect it to be that good. The service was good and I enjoyed the energy in the restaurant.

Yelp
Excellent service! Very friendly and nice. Greetings at the door. Pumpkin beer was terrific. Wings were juicy and hot. Pulled chicken very good. Loved all the side sauces.

Yelp
Who would have thought I would get excellent bbq in Boston? Not me! But I did! Went to the Smoke Shop on a Friday, not to busy when I got there, seated immediately. Service started out really good, very attentive (but not over the top) but as my meal progressed, service evaporated which was dissapointing (they got busy, maybe they're understaffed, whatever..). I had the 2 meat plate with ribs and brisket, collard greens, beans, and cole slaw. Brisket: really good (almost phenomenal) Ribs: also really good. A little small, but ok. 4 stars on the bbq because (and this might be picky but hey) I didn't like either of the 3 sauces that were presented with the meal. Struck me as odd, 2 of the sauces were on the thicker side, but the "sweet" sauce, which I would have thought would be thicker? Nah, super thin. If you eat here, get the collard greens....they were phenomenal! The beans were different but good. The cole slaw was just meh. Nothing special. This was a really good meal in Boston. Too bad service went from great to "hey where's my check" by the time I finished.

Yelp
The Smoke Shop has been my favorite BBQ spot since trying them out at a tasting in Boston many years ago. I've been to all the locations but unfortunately, this location was nothing to write home about. We were quickly seated. The restaurant wasn't all that busy. The service wasn't the greatest, I believe our server was helping out with other tasks therefore he was inattentive to our table. We ordered the Pit Boss and Pit crew. Everything was rather dry, I did not like the burnt ends at all today. The wings were ok. The drinks were terrible, I ordered an Aperol spritz which was awful followed by a Hemingway daiquiri which was better however an extremely short pour. My husband had a smoked old fashioned (lacked the smoke) and a spicy margarita which he said was pretty good. Overall, I'm rather disappointed, I hope things change for the location.
google avatar

Surupa B.

Yelp
So Smokeshop is hit or miss for me. Whenever we had food at the restaurant , seems quite okay. But every time I pick up for home, the wings taste bad. Not worth the cost if you take it home. May be restrict this to having at the restaurant only

James S.

Yelp
Fun bbq spot in an up And coming neighborhood. Our server was excellent and the food was delivered quickly. I ordered a salad with burnt ends - delicious. My buddy had the beef brisket and also raved about it. The bar looked really well stocked: bottles and the tap. Wish I hadn't been visiting mid-week for lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Food: I got the two meat two side options, and everything was so good. Meat was well tendered that you can literally rip apart so softly. Love that the corn bread was soft but firm. I like the way the potato salad tasted, but I prefer my potatoes on the smaller chunk size. I also love that they add a watermelon as a finisher cleanse to refresh your mouth after eating rather a heavy meal. Service: our server was very nice, she made sure that our food was made well while it was hectic. Ambiance: it can get very loud when there's enough people. it's very much a southern vibe with the wooden aesthetics. Definitely a family friendly restaurant with a bar in addition to the tv showing sports. Location accommodation: You can make a reservation, but they accept walk-ins as well. it's not as hard to get a reservation a few days before compared to other restaurants where you have to reserve weeks in advance for Boston. Parking is on the side mostly but you can definitely find a spot after 8 PM for free if you're lucky

Yelp
So I've ordered takeout from Seaport before, but this is my first time coming in and sitting down. I really love the vibe and the atmosphere. I keep trying other barbecue restaurants despite knowing that this one is my favorite just because I don't want to miss out on something that may be new however to this day I still have not found anything better in Boston for barbecue and then the smoke shop. And it's crazy because every time I Googled them, it seems like they have a new location popped up somewhere. That should be a testament to how good their food is because their business is thriving. I can not stress enough how much you have to come in here even just for the cornbread it does not disappoint somebody's grandma got to be in that kitchen making that. Once again, I have to say about the collard greens, but I've learned they are a seasonal, so I guess I'll just be patient. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Shout out to Daniel, who was my server, and absolutely friendly and incredible. He's so cool he said he wants to have a smoking good time. The one thing that was annoying is that the music is really loud, just so if you plan on having conversations with the people you came with, don't. The tunes are fire though
google avatar

Tessa L.

Yelp
Service 5/5 Food 3/5 Good place to watch a sports game! Food here was ok, not bad, just ok. Maybe it was because I was craving Texas bbq when I went here and had Texas bbq expectations that it was as mediocre as it was. Brisket was a bit dry. I would say the best thing there was the smoke shop bbq chicken wings. I would be willing to get those again. We also tried the pulled bbq chicken, St. Louis ribs, cucumber salad, and the two potato salad. The interior of the restaurant is really spacious and they have many TVs with different games on. Its a great place to enjoy watching a game with friends. Service was also good. The server was helpful in recommending how much/what sizes of items to order. Not much street parking near the place. May need to walk a little bit after parking to get to the restaurant.

Yelp
We celebrated my best friend's birthday at The Smoke Shop BBQ in Seaport and it was the best experience ever! Our waiter Julian was phenomenal and great at keeping the surprise birthday cake from the birthday girl a secret, which is what we wanted! He was also incredibly efficient and amazing at taking all our group's orders down, making sure to get all our drinks correctly. When they finally brought out the cake, everyone sang Happy Birthday to her, making it an overall memorable, amazing experience! We'll definitely be coming back here!

Brad R.

Yelp
Fast service. Excellent customer service. Excellent tasting food. Lots of flavor. Bit pricey but worth it!

Yelp
I love this spot for barbecue. Cornbread is my favorite and they do it the best. It's very moist and has a delicious slab of butter melted on top. I also love their burnt ends. They have many great side dishes to choose from if you get a plate meal. You can also order a sandwich, friend chicken basket, appetizers, and more. Great vibes on the inside, spacious and they play great music. Employees are super friendly and accommodating. Definitely come here if you want some good barbecue.
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
Yes yes yes!!! The food was excellent! We ordered the burnt ends which melted in your mouth as did the cornbread and OMG that cornbread was maybe the best I've ever had I ordered some to go so I could idk sit in my couch and eat an entire piece after t everyone is in bed . If you like BBQ this will be your new favorite!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here when visiting Boston with some close friends and parents in a larger group on a Saturday night. They were very accommodating and the wait wasn't long. We ended up getting a wide assortment of meats through their pit crew and pit boss combo. It was a perfect assortment of allowing us to try all the meats as well as the sides. Overall the food was pretty decent, wasn't the best BBQ we had but definitely hit the spot. I just wish they had a more vinegar based BBQ sauce and the other ones weren't as sweet. That being said though it was still a good place and the service was great despite how busy they were and how large our group was.

Yelp
I was recently in town for medical care at Mass Gen/Brigham. I visit every year for follow-ups & the like. While in town, I love to eat. I am a foodie. One food group I noticed wasn't very common here was BBQ. I'm not surprised, seafood is the main draw on the East Coast. Being from the Midwest, we do love our BBQ. I saw "The Smoke Shop" on my Caviar app & figured I'd give it a try. It looked spectacular and the reviews were positive. I'm glad I ordered it. During my 5-month stay here, I must've ordered there at least a dozen times. Their burnt ends sandwich keeps me coming back over and over again. The prices are up there, but the quality and quantity more than makes up for that. The bun is fresh and soft. It holds up well to the hefty, sauced burnt ends. I choose to eat the larger pieces with a fork before attacking the entire sandwich. They do not skimp here and you get HUGE burnt ends. I've eaten a lot of barbecue. I won't lie: I want the owners to know. This is THE BEST BBQ I have ever had. I was BLOWN AWAY. Their sides are also amazing and it's a very tough choice choosing. The Collard Greens and Cornbread are absolutely incredible. I'll admit I was not a fan of the taste or texture of their Pimento Mac & Cheese. I also wish they'd include that fat watermelon slice in delivery orders! Keep up the great work and BBQ. I can't wait to fly into town in a week and order a delicious sandwich! Best BBQ in Boston, and the best BBQ I've personally tasted!
google avatar

Yelp
The wings are fantastic, no sauce. The PIT Boss with three meats and three side was a wonderful way to sample many ideas.
google avatar

Alvin Z.

Yelp
Cool barbecue spot in the growing neighborhood of Seaport! It always smells delicious inside the restaurant with a nice joyful ambiance. However, I think the food is just okay (though among the best in Boston ). Brisket is fine, very soft and tender though it could be more flavorful. Burnt ends were kind of hard as opposed to crispy but still had a nice char to it. Mac and Cheese was just bad. It really didn't taste cheesy at all. Service was friendly though it may be a bit slow so please be conscious if you're on a time crunch.
google avatar

Jon F.

Yelp
Great ambiance, Good food, Attentive service! Eating outside, it started raining. The waiter recognized our situation and accommodated us inside.

Yelp
One of my favorite places for food and drinks in the area. This resturant is located in a busy district filled with different corporations. It's one of the few places that really delicious lunch that is worth the bigger price tags in the area. I got the brisket sandwich today with a side of collar green and pork belly burnt ends sandwich for a total of $31. It's also great after work because the bar is awesome. It's heavy on IPAs and whiskey but have a lot of other options. I am a big fan here. The price point isn't cheap but food + drinks are delicious,
google avatar

Alexandra A.

Yelp
This place is disgusting. Besides the fact ribs are regularly undercooked, they have the audacity to charge you extra for sauce that actually belongs with the $40 rack of ribs you get. Lunacy!! You're penalizing those who get takeout because you're not charging those eating in for the sauce. This is about the principle for me. Nasty people and nasty place.
google avatar

William S.

Yelp
The food here matches the ambitious atmosphere set from the moment you reach for the door handle. The normal handle was replaced by a meat cleaver. It's a place that is confident in what they offer and provide it the right way. There are many ways BBQ can go bad, but this was pretty good. Our server was confident in the menu, and she provided prompt service. I'm glad I walked in, and they satisfied my hunger. Next time, I will seek them out for another meal.
google avatar

Megan S.

Yelp
The food was delicious. We ate every single bite from the kids meals to the Pit Master meal. Burnt ends were some of the best we have ever had. And being from Florida we know our BBQ. The service was fast and friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Come with an appetite, leave full! This BBQ spot was awesome! We were seated right away as we walked in and as soon as we received the food menu and drink menu - we knew this would be an awesome spot! Started the evening with the Smoke Shop Private Collection whiskey flight - excellent sippers right there. By the time I finished my third Glencairn glass, my appetite grew and I went right for the Pitt Boss! The three meats I got were: Smoked Turkey, Brisket, and Burnt Ends. I also ordered a side of the cheddar jalapeño link. Personally I would rank my preference of the four meats in this order: Smoked Turkey, Cheddar Jalapeño link, Brisket, and Burnt Ends. The three sides I ordered were: Sweet and Spicy coleslaw, cucumber salad, and Crinkle cut fries - all were delicious! Another item to add is they bring you a bucket of three sauces: it was a range from mild to hot (honestly can't remember the names). All the sauces were delicious! The service staff were polite, professional, fast, and attentive. Be sure to stop at this great spot to fill up on some BBQ and whiskey!

Yelp
Wings were superb! Ordered twice & have since ordered their famous wings as takeout! Loved the mocktails - hope they keep 'em. Service was attentive & they have the best views of the sunset over Boston harbor! Only reason for 1 less star... Didn't know the fries had a seasoning, would love the option to order with / without Would love Mac & cheese option without pimento Would visit again!

Yelp
The food was amazing, I had the Texas brisket plate. They have a great location. The service was very good too. They also have outdoor seating too if you're interested.

Yelp
I was traveling with a friend who grew up in Texas and was craving BBQ, so we walked over. The venue is pretty big. Lots of room for large groups and the bar has a good amount of seating too. A trainee took our beer order and they came out very quick. The waiter stopped by a few minutes later and took our order. We both order a wedge salad and it was amazing! The chunks of pork belly were melt in your mouth and delicious. The dressing was super flavorful, and to my liking, the salad wasn't over dressed. It's a different rendition that won't disappoint. When we were about 1/2 way through our salads, the waiter stopped by and asked when we wanted our mains. It was a nice touch. Too many places deliver the salads then after your second bite deliver the mains. Great Job! I ordered 3 meats because I couldn't decide! Went with ribs, burnt ends and brisket. For sides I got cornbread, Mac & cheese and Brussels sprouts. Their ribs were tender and delicious. The burnt ends weren't as tender as what I am used to, but had good flavor. The brisket was too dry for me and really needed sauce to eat it. The Mac & cheese was good. I'd order it again. The cornbread needed something. Maybe honey butter or something like that would have helped. Still good, but was lacking something. The Brussels were very good. Overall, the food was good as was the service. It's worth checking out and be sure to try the ribs!

Yelp
Located right across the street from Boston's Children Museum is this wonderful BBQ spot. It's very spacious, has some country vibes and flat screen TV's located around the restaurant. I came in on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be, which was a good thing. Once finished looking at the menu we ordered The Smoke Shop's Famous Wings, BBQ Fries with pulled pork and 1st Place Rib Plate with Pimento Mac & Cheese and Texas Toast. Now lets talk about the food: The Smoke Shop's Famous Wings- WOW! WOW! WOW! Some of the most tastiest and juiciest wings I've tried. I highly recommend this appetizer. BBQ Fries with pulled pork- I honestly thought it would be bland but it wasn't, to my surprise it was very very good. The pulled pork wasn't dry and perfectly seasoned. The jalapeños added a nice kick to the fries as well. I would get this dish again and maybe try a different meat or stick to the same. 1st Place Rib Plate with Pimento Mac & Cheese and Texas Toast- Some of the best ribs i've tried. Very tender type fall of the bone ribs. Loved the seasoning and just how good the were. Will get ribs all the time at this spot next time I come back. The mac and cheese was pretty good and of course you can't go wrong with Texas toast. All in all, there wasn't anything bad at all. Everything was up to par and the pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend this spot if you're feeling BBQ. You wont be disappointed and I'll be back.

Yelp
Been to this spot a couple times. The food is well above average and the drinks have always been decent. We went today and they had removed the mezcal drink from the menu. No big deal, menus change. We asked the bartender for a mezcal drink of his choosing. The drink was drinkable but nothing to write home about. The issue arose when we got the bill and he charged us $21 for a mediocre mezcal drink when every other drink on the menu was $14. We don't mind paying for good drinks but this seemed deceptive and scummy. We won't come back

Yelp
I'll start off by saying it's not the worst bbq I've had and it's probably the best in the area. With that being said, it was just okay. I did enjoy all the options they had. Loved the corn bread and pork belly burnt ends. The pulled pork was just not the type I like, a little too much vinegar for me and the Texas toasted tasted weird, I think it was the garlic butter. However, I loved that they had Cheerwine as an option on the menu and I really wanted to try the gooey butter cake but wasn't able to.

Yelp
Food is good, came fast, spacious seating, definitely recommend for some good BBQ! Pulled pork with texas toast was great. Beans were good but too spicy for me (though I don't have a spice tolerance).

Yelp
Haven't been here since August 13, 2022 with my friends. I wanted some dinner after work so I ordered some takeout because I didn't want eat it at home. I was craving some The Smoke Shop BBQ's Famous Wings (6 wings) and the Burnt Ends sides where the corn bread and cucumber salad. And I got the Gooey Butter Cake. The wings where delicious seasoned just right cooked thoroughly and juicy and moist on the inside! The burnt ends where mouth watering good! Don't know how they you all do it but they are so so good! Moist a excellent tangy taste also. The cucumber salad was fine I love cucumbers. The best part of the completion of my meal was the Butter cake OMG it's so GOOD! Happy to say I'm glad and was thoroughly satisfied with my meal for dinner.

Yelp
It's been a minute since we ate at here and we enjoyed it as much as ever. BBQ is not always on our radar when we're in the city since our daughter lives in Nashville and we are a bit spoiled to frequent there. That being said Chef Andy husband's Q is top notch for the northeast. We're fans of eating and sharing a bunch of appetizers,we really enjoyed the the sticky fried ribs with Asian flavors, the bbq hot wings were fire! Literally. Great wedge salad, also. Pork belly burnt ends were on point. The cornbread definitely ate like a good southern cornbread.bacon collards with hint of molasses was great. Friendly knowledgeable service to go along with a great meal.

Yelp
Worst BBQ restaurant ever. They ran out of brisket and could not fulfill an order when the majority of our order was brisket. Instead they substituted without our knowing and without our permission pulled pork. Considering most of us do not eat pork this a big issue.

Yelp
Holy bourbon menu Batman. Not a ton of beers to choose from, but enough to find what you like. BBQ was excellent. Pulled pork and biscuit were tender and flavorful. Bbq sauce options were good. The sweet bbq was my favorite. Baked beans are spicy. Sweet potato mash was great, highly recommend.

Yelp
I'm not usually one to go looking for BBQ especially if I'm not in the south. But, I would dare to say, this is pretty legit BBQ. The burnt ends are extremely good. The sides are good. Cool vibe inside and service was really good. Great place for lunch and dinner. Great bar selection and a good beer list. I'm pleasantly surprised for a Boston based BBQ joint.

Yelp
I walked in with a party of 4 at 6:15 on a Thursday and were able to grab one of the last tables available. The restaurant filled up quickly with people getting off from work. The space is very open and there is a large bar towards the back with an extensive whiskey and bourbon selection. I ordered a chicken wing and rib combo plate with mac and cheese and cole slaw. The food came extremely quickly, within five minutes of ordering. The chicken wings were amazing, it had great flavor and a hint of smoke. The ribs were flavorful but a little dry and the sides complimented the meal well. When we were ready to leave, our server wasn't to be seen for 15 minutes so we had to go find her to settle the check, which was one of the only negatives of the meal.

Yelp
Outstanding food. Would definitely come back. Extensive whiskey selection with a big list across bourbon, rye. The BBQ plates are delicious as are the sides.

Yelp
I had the St. Louis ribs, brisket and sausage with collard greens, baked beans and mac & cheese. The pickled onions and cheese on the sausage were delicious. The brisket was tender with just the right amount of fat. I thoroughly enjoyed the collards and baked beans. Overall, everything except the mac & cheese was very good. With parents from the south, I grew up on soul food. So I probably shouldn't have ordered the mac & cheese. It's never as good as what I can make. The ribs tasted good but weren't as tender as I hoped. Unfortunately, I wasn't there on a night they had baby back ribs. Their whiskey menu is massive!! I tried their whiskey of the week - a Private Selection Maker's Mark. It was so smooth & delicious. I'd go back again.
