"Pink-swaddled fast-casual Italian spot the Sosta no longer has its founding chef, Ali LaRaia. The chef, who hadn’t opened a restaurant before the Nolita pasta restaurant, has left for northern California. The restaurant is part of behemoth ESquared, and the founder’s daughter Samantha Wasser, who co-founded the Sosta and vegan hit By Chloe, remains at the Sosta." - Serena Dai

My wife and I shared the seasonal farro bowl and the zucca vodka. The portion size was good for the price and they were both delicious. The staff was very nice and helpful in us deciding what to get for our first time here. If you're in the area, The Sosta is a great place to get a quick bite in a relaxing atmosphere.

I really wanted to rate this new spot better. However, the serving size of the bucatini arrabiata that I ordered was way to small considering the price. In addition, the bucatini itself was a much more al dente than it should have been. That said, the staff was delightful, the service was prompt and the arrabiata sauce was perfetto. Sosta is only three days old now. I'll return again in a month when the regular brunch menu is being served. Hopefully they will recognize that locals will refuse to pay such a price for the tiny portions of pasta.

Italian fast food, but with great ingredients and tasting even better than some more expensive restaurants. The cacio e perez is really good (with black spaghetti "charcoal activated", but could have more pepper). Their focaccia is great! Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to eat a gelato.

This is a great casual spot! I had been meaning to come for a few months since I walked past and sampled their truffle gorgonzola spread on focaccia and was not disappointed. Beer and wine on tap (can come in carafes if you're with a friend or group) and a nice selection of salads, sandwiches, and pastas. I got the Paccheri Bolognese, the truffle gorgonzola on focaccia, and the red wine they had on tap. Everything was delicious and I'm planning on returning with friends.

I'm on a Keto diet and this place offers zoodles as a substitution. I still got to enjoy their amazing pasta sauce and enjoy a day out with my friends...which are foodies lol. I highly recommend going here. The staff is great and so is the food.

Small but varied selection of fresh pastas and sandwiches. Counter service with spacious self service seating. It was a nice respite from the heat on the afternoon I visited. I had the Pesto, portion was too big for me to finish 😀

Fresh, and very tasty pasta in a fast casual setting. A little on the pricey side to order at the counter to seat yourself with your tray. Every month they have delicious specials which will certainly have me coming back! April's was Alison's Campanelle: roasted broccoli, lemon, and parmesan, which was to die for (pictured on the right. Also pictured are the Zucca Vodka pasta and chicken meatballs.)

Hands down my favorite casual dinner spot in lower Manhattan. I’ll start with food: if you’re a pasta-lover, this is one of the places left in Nolita that uses fresh, homemade pasta. And trust me, it makes a difference. I’ve tried most of their dishes to date and I always come back for the Vodka sauce dish. The only thing the menu is missing for me is something white or seafood-based. But you’ll certainly never be bored because they come out with monthly menu items that collaborate with female entrepreneurs and chefs (yaas!!) and they’re always delightful. Also great is the value of all this amazing food for under $15-20. Next, the people and vibes: One of the main reasons I keep coming back is the high level of customer service from the staff. They’re super friendly, always willing to recommend, and fast. Travis is a GEM! Always asking how he can make it the most accommodating and rounding it out to feel 5-stars. If you haven’t already visited, run on over!!
