"The Sound Table on Edgewood Ave was a significant venue for live music. Its closure signals a potential end to the block’s live music era and legacy." - Beth McKibben

"Cocktail lounge and nightclub the Sound Table closes after a decade on the corner of Boulevard and Edgewood Avenue, according to a Facebook post late last week. Considered one of Atlanta’s original cocktail bars, the Sound Table has seen some of the city’s best bartenders behind the stick over the years, including Navarro Carr and Ticonderoga Club’s Paul Calvert." - Beth McKibben

"Atlanta is about to reportedly become the first city in the world to offer an artist-driven, glow-in-the-dark ramen pop-up experience — complete with black lights, edible luminescence, and tales from the dark side. The theatrical, mobile food pop-up — known as Nakamura.ke — runs nightly in the parking lot of the Sound Table and neighboring Space2 in the Old Fourth Ward from January 30 through February 16, 2019." - Beth McKibben

We came here with another couple for the Rum Punch Brunch. I have to admit, the good was MUCH better than I expected. We paid for the unlimited rum punch and it was well worth the money. The food was reasonably priced and the waitress was nice. I actually have no real complaints. We paid like $30 per person to get up to 7 rum punch drink tickets. We didn’t even use all 7. We would definitely go back again.

A group of us went around 7pm for a drink before dinner. The drinks were interesting, but not our favorite. The vibe was more suited for a late-night dance club, so I believe we went with intentions different than what they are. Great part of Atlanta to explore.

Went to the Rum Punch Brunch on Sunday. Great food, fast service and nice atmosphere. The punch was awesome and not too sugary and had enough alcohol! $30 for 7 drinks was more than enough for 2 to share. Small Brunch menu but what we ordered was great! This place is lively with loud music and a partying atmosphere. One side is the restaurant and then the have an ajoining sound for dancing after 5:00 pm. Fun to go with your friends to meet and mingle! The parking right by the place is a total rip off at $20. We found off street parking for FREE. Next time we'll take Lyft...

Parking was 20.00 next to the building for some 5 for others free according to the machine. Anyway nice tapaa type restaurant. Dined upstairs and the waitress was horrible. Not enough waitresses to serve on yesterday. We had a large party and should have had our own waitress. Food was great! Rum punch was good too. Music was good, and the bar staff was great. I gave 2 stars because of service

A formerly Fabulous place! Simply marvelous dinner club. Met the owners. Such a handsome couple and really nice people, thoroughly professional. Nice menu with well prepared food. Hardworking food and drink servers. Long narrow space with star DJ Kemit upfront on a pedestal. Long sidecar type bar! Jazzy. Upstairs private party room. I loved it. Crowded. You are going to be VERY close so don't come if you have issue with that. Cool people, a lot of everybody. And people still just stand in place and dance. I always made my way to the front, connect with the DJ. Big fun that. So cool. And now I find that this beautiful old building, a cultural touchstone in what’s left of inner city Atlanta has collapsed, probably due to construction errors- demolition blasting! - in the area. Just another ugly reminder that Atlanta undervalues and overbuilds in its glut for money. The city seems intent on tearing down everything worth keeping and replacing it with greed and robotic people. So upset this morning. Tears for the Sound Table community😢

My friend dragged me out of the house to try this spot. Heard about it but never visited. So hey... why not! I'm always concerned with parking in this area. There was street parking and a lot right outside. The lot was pricy. It was $20-30 which is ridiculous. I won't hold that against the venue since I don't think they own the parking lot. I walked right by the door initially because it was boarded up so I thought it wasn't an operable entrance. Walked in and it was a cool vibe. The place is small but packs a mighty punch. There's bar seating and another area for table seating. The DJ spins tunes all night. I was thoroughly impressed by the music selection. The menu is very abbreviated. There wasn't much to choose from since I'm a picky eater and the reviews on food were mixed. The cocktails were pretty tasty. However, I decided to stick with wine. The crowd increased as the night grew and it was pretty much wall to wall but in a good way. If you like to dance and mingle.... this is a good way to go about doing that.

Music was Caribbean style. We went Sunday afternoon it was Great. I didn't stop dancing. I didn't order any drinks but i did see people buy drink tickets from a different area and then gave the bartender the ticket to make their drinks. That was interesting! Limited seating was noticed and the place had a slightly mold smell. That was concerning for me.

A rare combination of a great spot for refined food during the early evening and a great late night spot for DJ mixed electronic music starting around 11pm. Features a smaller intimate dance floor, a modern bar serving eclectic drinks and tasty beers. Also features a secure outside patio to cool off and smoke. Fresh air reliant on strength of breeze. ; )
