The Spicy Peach

Nice small Kosher super market. They have a large selection of kosher brands. There is a small takeout with salads, wraps, and other meats. There is also a sushi takeout, although when I was there the sushi roller had had to leave early. But there were still pre made rolls. The store gives off a Trader Joe’s vibe, which is always great! The staff are very very friendly and helpful.

I had heard so many wonderful things about this store, especially about the great selection of Hebrew snacks. I’d been looking forward to visiting for weeks and was really excited to stock up and use some of the items in my classroom play kitchen after exploring them with my students. However, when I arrived, the experience was disappointing. As a visibly Black woman, I immediately noticed the cashier watching me closely without greeting me, even though she warmly greeted and chatted with other customers. When it was my turn to check out, she simply said, “I hope you found whatever you were looking for,” with no warmth or enthusiasm. The interaction felt cold and unwelcoming. What began as an excited visit ended in deep disappointment. As a Black Hebrew woman, I truly hope that in the future, every customer is made to feel equally welcomed and respected.

Whenever I'm in Atlanta, I always visit The Spicy Peach. There is an assorted selection of grab and go food, as well as plenty of kosher groceries. The staff is helpful and friendly. Amiela assisted us and she was great.

Went there on a Sunday for lunch…The sandwiches are amazing! The bread is super fresh from Brooklyn. Judi best class owner and clients’ focus. You can find treasures there of any unusual delicious treats and food. I would highly recommend you try their food.

Big variety of kosher food including fresh sushi and a breakfast & lunch stand

We had awesome tuna melts and lentil soup and chili vegetarian. Outstanding taste and could not believe the low prices. Plan to eat there whenever we pass through Atlanta

We are truly Blessed in having the Spicy Peach for our Kosher needs. Gail and I have delighted in tasting their selections. These Ladies have outdone themselves in providing us with a FANTASTIC shopping experience for a variety of food products. I have tried a number of their sandwiches, snacks, cheeses, dried fruits, frozen products, etc. Too many to list here. Look at their website to see almost everything they have to delight us all. Why did I always just drive by this place and not think twice? Seriously.This is a hidden gem. It is a kosher mini grocery store with a sandwich counter, ice cream, and a ton of yummy treats. When I say yummy, I should say yummy and unique. They have a shallot dip that is seriously like heaven in your mouth. They also have Kosher staples like smoked whitefish salad, the biggest pita ever, some with zatar and some plain. They have pickles, oh do they have pickles! They have Israeli snacks which are a treat for my kids. They have a ton of stuff for baby showers like candy shaped like pacifiers. Why I remember that, I have no idea. Anyways, even if you are not Jewish or don't keep Kosher, I highly recommend going in here. You have all been to the places on Buford Highway in order to experience Korea, China, Mexico, Bangladesh, India. This place will help you experience a little bit of Israel. Shalom my friends!!!

Fun market with special items, the best part is the sandwich shop in the back, try the mushroom Pacino. Fresh, cheesy, bread is perfect, savory taster, kosher, divine.

I came here for lekvar for hamantaschen as I knew they had it. I had called the day before and put away the last 4 jars for me. While there, I ordered a mushroom provolone panini that was the best! Jodi & Tzippy were very helpful and I will be back! Telling everyone I know to get their lunches there. Yum yum yum

I contacted The Spicy Peach about a hard to find product and spoke with Tzippy. While it seems the product may not be made anymore, I cannot thank Tzippy enough for spending time speaking with me and helping me find a product that would suit my needs. I wish I lived near The Spicy Peach! The next time I have difficulty finding a product in my area, I will be looking for it on The Spicy Peach website.

This is a cute Kosher deli/ specialty store. I'd been wanting to visit it for a while and finally got the opportunity today. I was inwardly oohing and ahhing over the selection of preserves and Asian marinades when I heard the young girl at the counter say, "Sure, come inside our store and enjoy our air conditioning while you look at our beautifully displayed items and not buy anything." I was the only person in the store who they did not know. And this was said while I was standing in the aisle across from the girl. I'm guessing it was directed at me. For the record, I'm not a fan of teenagers who mouth off when they shouldn't and this was one of those times. Because of this girl and her lack of discretion I decided not to buy anything and I know that I will not likely return. It makes me sad too because I'm in Toco Hills fairly often and this store has some unique items. But maybe I'm not the clientele they're looking for, and in this manner, I am not a revolutionary. This place is wonderful. The ladies who run it are polite, friendly, and always helpful. The selection is fabulous and well-stocked. They are happy to try and order a product if there is something special you'd like but you don't see it in inventory. They catered my son's bar mitzvah and created platters I was proud to serve. My family loves to get their hot sandwiches, soups, and salads because they are always fresh, made-to-order, and taste like homemade. Overall this store offers very high quality for reasonable prices.

This store is amazing! It is packed with really great stuff, a lot of which you will not find anywhere else! Their sandwiches are terrific and they are a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!

This is a great vegetarian and I think vegan restaurant. Because it is dairy kosher there is no meat served or used at their sandwich and salad counter. Everything is made fresh daily. Their soups are delicious. All sandwiches can be made Panini style. Their salads are made to order with lots of topping options. Looking for vegetarian in the toco hills neighborhood? Give The Spicy peach a try. You will be glad you did.

This is a cool little kosher deli/convenience store. It has a small deli, a bakery, and a wide assortment of cheeses, crackers, candy, you name it. You can even buy sandwiches here. I came here on a lark because I was interested in seeing what this place was all about, and didn't think it would be a kosher deli. Yet, I saw two couples in here who were Orthodox Jewish, buying items here on my visit. While the items here are quite overpriced, I was able to buy some cheese as well as some crackers that I would never typically find in a store. In fact, many of the products here are not what you would typically find in a store and are in fact, imported from Israel which accounts for the prices. Still, its a pretty neat little place that would not attract a lot of people, but if you are looking for some kosher food, you could do worse to come here.

Pros - Big selection of Israeli food. Variety of products and friendly workers who will help you with any questions. Cons - some products were out of date and not fresh after opening. It's a good idea to check the date on the products you buy. Overall - good experience.

The Spicy Peach is fantastic. From their delicious fresh salad bar and paninis to their extensive selection of hard to get kosher foods, you can't go wrong. They have anything you need for the most obscure kosher recipes and the owners are all knowledgeable and friendly. When I go to my hometown I often take orders from The Spicy Peach to my friends that still live there so they can get hard to get items.

Great products packed into a compact store. A large variety of gourmet and hard to find products. Sandwiches are quick and yummy. I find their staff helpful and always willing to help. It is great to have the unique grocery store in the Toco Hill area.

My sister is Orthodox Jewish and lives in Toco Hills. All the times we've visited she's encouraged us to stop by this store, but for some reason we end up only having time on Saturday and because the owners are Sabbath-observant, it's closed on Saturdays. This past visit I stayed longer and finally got to go to Spicy Peach! I don't keep kosher personally but I am kind of a foodie/weird food afficionado, and I look for gourmet food stores wherever I go. My sister was right that this shop is right up my alley. It's small, but well-organized. A lot of the foods are imported, many from Israel but some from elsewhere. And there are also items from local/US food producers that specialize in Kosher items, most not available in your average grocery store even if you live in a community with a lot of Orthodox Jews (and I don't). There is everything from gift boxes for special occasions/holidays (understandably, only Jewish holidays), to spices and sauces, to hundreds of kinds of candy and snacks (not only fancy things--many are hard-to-find Israeli imports or just kosher versions of candy bars/snacks for everyday use), to refrigerated items like cheese/yogurt/drinks, to a large frozen case in the back with many processed frozen foods. I was pretty well wowed, and found quite a few new/fun things to try, including some cream of corn single-serving soup that was tasty for lunch today! Also, prices are reasonable for what you are getting. I got five or six different bags of snacks/candy that I'd never seen before, two envelopes of soup, and a small container of bulk candy for under $20. Two things I noticed that are not as positive: One is that this small market is not the place for household staples like flour, sugar, large or bulk containers, etc. It really is geared more towards small packages of items that are unusual and hard to find, or at least hard to find Kosher. Another is that I was not impressed with some of the items' quality. A package of fruit leather, once we got it home, turned out to have an unpleasant spoiled aroma so we threw it out. And I saw a large display of meat sticks of various flavors up front, but when I lifted a few of them up to see into the package, the meat had spots of white mold, so I didn't buy any. I think it's too bad Cynthia had a bad experience here, but I can see how it could happen. Personally I never feel I'm quite communicating with the Orthodox women I have met in Atlanta. It always seems that they are trying to be polite, but mostly don't care about you if you aren't part of their tightly-knit community, even if you are related to a friend or are a client or shopper at their store. Smiles are insincere and they might not laugh at (clean) jokes. When we walked in yesterday, two of the owners were standing just inside the door having a conversation with a man, and they barely greeted us without looking at us, while moving just slightly away from the door so we could enter (we had to sort of squirm and push past to avoid bumping into the man, since men and women are not supposed to touch in the Orthodox community). There is an insularity in the community that seems to make people feel uncomfortable around people they don't know, and the result is sometimes New York-style snarkiness of the type Cynthia experienced. Similarly, though, I can tell you I have had dirty looks shot at me across a small-town café in rural northern Wisconsin simply because I was the only person there that people didn't recognize. It seems to me a fact of life in some types of communities. If you live in a diverse and accepting community it is a little bit jarring to encounter a sub-community that isn't as open to others. (Not to mention that teenagers working in retail everywhere tend to have terrible customer-relations skills...!) In sum: definitely worth a visit for the selection, the fact that it is Kosher (if that's important to you), and reasonable prices for what you are getting. If you feel you are being given the cold shoulder, see if a smile and maybe a joke help. If not, it is not your problem--you tried.

We really enjoyed shopping in this store. Didn't have any of the fresh foods but found this store to be a great resource for dairy free/gluten free. The owner was very knowledgeable and explained part of her traditions and why this store was opened. They had very interesting candies, gifts and goodies. We will shop there again!

a gourmet kosher market opened early 2014 offering a steady stream of unique products that most folks did not even know were kosher. such as a variety of marinades, condiments, a huge assortment of cheeses, and a much sought after selection, of all things, herring. they have steadily added to their offerings. from their panini sandwiches and soups to soft serve ice cream (cholov Yisrael). and they cater to boot! The market is tightly packed and adorably decorated. very knowledgeable owners who are a pleasure to do business with.

The sandwiches here are delicious! Also, the salads are excellent! The salads come with six toppings which makes a really great salad. There are many toppings and dressing choices. The food is fresh. The store is clean. The people are friendly. Also, there is outdoor covered seating. I highly recommend it.

I will not be back to this establishment! I was treated as if I had the plague. I go into the store to purchase an item and I give the cashier my card, she had been all helpful and bubbly to the customer in front of me. The clerk had the audacity to slide my card over the counter and not give it to me directly. An ole good ole boy system trick! My card was perfectly acceptable as I paid for the overpriced item! I will not grace this establishment with my beauty or wisdom again!
