Where to Watch Super Bowl LVI in Houston | Eater Houston

"Watching the game at Sporting Club may be the next best thing to actually being at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. With its unique, stadium-style roof revealing the open sky, a chef-inspired menu, and a lively patio spilling onto Washington Ave., this impressive bar offers the same high energy of watching a live game. Secure a coveted seat by making a table reservation ahead of the big day." - Megha McSwain

Really enjoyed our time here. Caught it on an off game night so wasn't too busy as im sure it gets. DJ had a really good set list that was enjoyable while eating dinner and enjoying a beverage. Food came out quick and was delicious. It's a little pricey but nothing extreme for the area. Really enjoyed our time here. Was super convenient before our comedy show at Laugh Boston across the street.

The only lobster role I have ever eaten that I feel was worth the money. Easily the best lobster Ive had so far. It was delicious and had great flavor. The smash burger was very small and dry. Same with the panini, it was dry and not very good. The wings and cornbread were very good. The smoked ketchup and spicy sauce that came with the fries was very good and made the already good fries so much better. Service was good too.

Needed a quick bite after a later flight , this place did just fine. Our server Freda was beyond helpful on things to do while here for a few days!

Located in the Omni Boston Hotel in Seaport, the Sporting Club is a nice place to dine and have drinks. Huge televisions wrap the restaurant for a great experience to watch sports. The food was typical bar food. We had the burger, Nashville chicken sandwich, ribs, and cocktails. The service was good and the food came out extremely fast.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but my experience at this sports bar was disappointing. The service was poor from the start—we waited about 15 minutes before the waitress even came to take our order. After placing our drink and appetizer orders, it took another 20 minutes for them to arrive. The Brussels sprouts were tasty, but the meatballs were overpowered by an overwhelming amount of pepper and weren't enjoyable. For our entrees, we had the Rigatoni pasta and the TDC Pork Panini. The pasta was bland and needed seasoning, and the panini was greasy with an unappealing sauce. To top it off, our waitress was inattentive and didn’t refill our water glasses. We had to ask another waiter twice for water. Overall, the waitress was hard to find when we needed her. On a positive note, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ played some great music, which made the environment lively. However, I was ultimately disappointed by the food and service, and I’m not sure I’ll return. The total amount spent was not worth it.

We always take our daughter out for her birthday, but this year was on a Celtics game day so we gave Sporting Club a try. The place is covered with large TV screens but not much of a sports atmosphere, maybe because most guests seemed like out-of-towners from the adjacent hotel. The food was good though; the slow-cooked rib Mac n’ Cheese and the brownie sundae are Home Runs (sorry that pun was cheesy) 😀

Google
This is such a great dining experience. I love the space and the wait staff was unbelievable and I had the best steak fruits I've ever had. Perfectly cooked. Great job chef!

Google
Upscale sportsbar in the Omni. Lots of good food options and top notch cocktails. I had the asian inspired salad with chicken and the paisano meatballs. The salad itself was very tasty but the chicken was chewy and overcooked. The paisano meatballs were outstanding. Overall a great place to grab a drink or bite while watching sports.

Yelp
Surprisingly great food and a good open and clean sports bar vibe. Had the pork belly for 2 (tons of food) and the churro dessert--that also came with a side of choco moose. Wine was a good pour and decent. Whenever I'm back the the area--will definitely revisit. Reasonably priced.

Yelp
When we arrived at the hotel, The Sporting Club was the only restaurant still open (or, at least, the others were on the cusp of closing, as it was 8:50 p.m.). So my party of three headed to The Sporting Club. After taking a moment to finish their conversation, two greeters asked if we had reservations, which we didn't. They said it would be a few minutes because trivia was just wrapping up. I peeked into the restaurant because I was eager to see the locale Open Table had called an "illustrious sanctuary." The restaurant was not even half full, and trivia was over! This got me wondering why we couldn't be seated. We ended up waiting about 10 minutes. The inside of The Sporting Club is not what I would call an illustrious sanctuary, but it definitely has a great ambience. It's somewhere I can see hanging out with friends after work. There's great energy and lots of space while still feeling intimate. The TVs are massive! We waited quite a while for a server to come to our table. This was a challenge throughout our meal. When we finished our meal, we had to flag down a busser to request our check. Even after that, we waited a long time. However, the food was delicious! Our server made helpful recommendations and was super knowledgeable about the menu. Was the restaurant having an off night? I don't know. I can only judge it by my experience. And based on that, I deem it three stars. After all, the service you receive is a huge part of the dining experience.

Yelp
Must have been short handed with bartenders! Celtics playoff game night. Only good thing here is the bottle selection. Set up is average at best.
google avatar

Yelp
Apps were very good. But the atmosphere is the 5/5, coolest hotel bar I've ever been too, it's legit great sports bar.
google avatar

Dena H.

Yelp
The atmosphere here is prime when you want to watch a game, they have plenty of large screen TVs all throughout. They also have a great selection of beers, which were refreshing. We ended up grabbing some late night apps and went with the chicken wings and the queso. The chicken wings were really delicious and we loved the sauce. The queso was okay- the chorizo overpowered the dish and wasn't a good combo.
google avatar

Zachary K.

Yelp
What an incredible spot. The tv walls were huge and easy to see. The lounge type seating was so comfortable. The chicken wings were crispy and not breaded so had a perfect cook. Great upscale dining with a sporty feel is the perfect higher end feel to sports.

Yelp
Life is short. F....it up! Family, Friends, Flavor Went to this place after work because we're having a department wide get together. After a few drinks, you know decide to get some food as you know I always choose to try the burger wherever I go. Went w the TSC Double Double Bacon Burger. Nice potato bun w lots of sesame. I normally don't get bacon made an exception this time. The burger all fit well together and had a really nice savory taste due to the duck fat onions. ever in the area and looking for a good sports bar with a good vibe I just check this place out and try the burger.

Yelp
This is not your typical hotel bar. This is The Bar. We have been here every night of our stay. One day we came twice in one day. The menu is wonderful. We loved the meatballs but didn't get a picture because we ate them so quickly. The cheese board was great and my husband liked his burger. I have to be gluten free and the staff went above and beyond. Steven made excellent suggestions for substituons and by day two he was more alert of my needs than I was. Steven and Dennis are experts in their cocktail crafts. There was soccer on every day and I wish we could come back to experience football and hockey here in the fall. Located in the Omni Hotel, this is a must if staying in the Seaport.

Yelp
The most delicious food and sauces!!! Had the wedge salad with added grilled shrimp Perfection and the best blue cheese ever! If you love gin? You have to have float like a butterfly! Heaven on earth! Awesome bar for a couple or a family

Yelp
Another five star experience at the Sporting Club on Friday after Thanksgiving! We came to the Snowport holiday market but the line wrapped around the block and we didn't feel like waiting an hour to get it. Plus it was around 2 in the afternoon and so we decided to come here for lunch! Glad we did! I got the Mezze platter again which was delicious same as last time! The pita bread was greasy warm and soft. The dips were great hummus, labneh and eggplant plus crunchy veggies. Yum!! The hubs got the chicken club sandwich which he enjoyed. Our niece got the salmon which was really great- crispy on the outside and tender flaky inside. Warm Pretzels were very good too. Overall we're happy campers with all the food plus have leftovers to take home! Ambiance was cool, everyone seemed to be having a good time with the music and sports playing on the huge screens all over. Our server Rob was very friendly and nice. Definitely go here if you haven't already!

Yelp
What a cool place to get high end drinks, food and share the space with sport enthusiasts! This place surprised me in the best way with how sophisticated it looks! Fun fact, the have the Celtics floor from the arena when you first step into the doors. When I first walked in, I'll admit I expected your typical sports bar with so-so food. But the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere and space took me by surprise. It exudes high-end vibes, and I was instantly impressed. Speaking of food, it was nothing short of amazing. My personal favorites were the lobster roll and the grilled cheese. But what really stole the show were the fries, made even more addictive by their secret kimchi sauce - a flavor explosion I won't soon forget. And let's talk drinks. They were top-notch, to say the least, and they added to the overall upscale experience. One of the highlights of the evening was getting to know the executive chef, Yousef. I was thrilled to discover that he was a former contestant on Chopped, and even more so when I found out he was a winner! I will be coming back here for friend nights and date nights!

Yelp
Pretty tight in here, but they make good use of the space they do have. There are at least 10 tvs, but they're up above and around the wall so you aren't bombarded with them, and can see many at once. You're also greeted by comfy seats around a pretty interestingly angled bar. Because of the limited space you'll probably want to avoid peak lunch and dinner rushes, but if you can nab a spot, try the Nashville hot chicken.
google avatar

Erfamian K.

Yelp
Solid 3.5 stars. Rounding up because the bar staff were very helpful with menu selection and attentive to drinks both times we visited. The lobster roll and chicken sandwich were tasty, but the fries were a bit plain. The decor is interesting. I would certainly return if I'm near the convention center.

Yelp
Despite miss my misgivings, it turned out that the sporting club was actually a step above the average sports bar. An excellent cocktail list, and bartender was one aspect of that, but I also had a variety of food that they had produced for a business meal. It was all really good, everything from chicken wings Tamez to whatever So yeah, these guys did it right.

Yelp
After playing all afternoon at the Lawn on D, we wanted to sit in a dark, cool place and nibble on some food and refreshing drinks. Oddly, I did not get any pics of the food, but I did get a few of the inside. Very cool walking in; the hallway feels like you are walking into a stadium, with lockers on the wall and massive curved TVs for sporting view pleasure. We sat at one of the half-moon booths and loved it. Freida, our server, was such a doll and so professional and accommodating! We had oysters, spicy meatballs, and a butternut squash panzenella salad with a honey vinaigrette! Everything was super tasty, well-cooked, and seasoned. Freida talked us into dessert, and when the apple cider bread pudding wasn't available, we got the churros. Super yummo! I loved the vibe and aesthetics of the place; I could possibly be talked into heading into the city to watch a Patriots game here! :)
google avatar

Daniel G.

Yelp
We stopped in to watch a basketball game and they immediately accommodated us by changing it on two of the tvs!!! The bartender was amazing, funny, and engaging. We didn't try the food but drinks were good and well priced. There were tons of tvs to watch and the overall ambiance was inviting and fun. A great find for a bar!

Yelp
Hot damn this was a surprise! Usually hotel sport bars are kinda lame. They will have kinda fried greasy food and just be a tired scene. Here? They have really surprisingly good food and absolutely stellar staff. I did not come into contact with any worker here who wasn't really nice and they have personality as well! Alright alright let's get down to it shall we? I know I did when I ordered the lobster roll! Lobster roll: When they served me this I suddenly became the most interesting person sitting at the bar... ok ok I know it was the roll but people were just staring and talking about it. They should, because it was so huge and full of lobster! Like absolutely huge. They are not messing around here. I think to the ones I get in San Diego and they are so small... I felt bad because I couldn't even finish it and all these hungry eyes were on me. So. Much. Lobster. The lemon miso mixed with it is just amazing. There is a richness in it but also there is a distinct lemon brightness that just pairs amazingly with the butter toasted bread and chunks of lobster. The guy next to me apologized for watching me eat. I will be honest I was a little self conscious digging into it with so many jealous eyes watching. Also I want to say that the bartender was amazing because he saw some guy trying to talk to me a lot and he came over to make sure I felt safe. He made it very easy for me to extract myself from the unwanted interaction so that I could bounce! Such a great experience overall I came here twice for the rolls and another time to have drinks with my coworkers.

Yelp
Stayed at the Omni Hotel for a conference across the street at the Boston Convention Center. Our server Brianna was super nice and was very attentive. Normally I'm not a fan of hotel dining , but the theme and service here was great. Tried the honey bear wings that came out quick and very hot (in temperature). Good place for a quick drink with a group or if you're going to a conference solo.

Yelp
Service was very nice and I can say that this bar was the best I've ever been. Fresh delicious food and very cute interior.

Yelp
This restaurant is such a cool concept the decor is amazing. I was hoping for a more extensive drink menu because I came for lunch and a signature cocktail has to sound amazing for me to order one with lunch but I'm sure I'll be back for dinner and I'll try one then. The hummus platter was amazing I would come back in a heart beat just for that. The chicken sandwich was super crispy and the fries were delicious. The other members of my party had the Asian salad and really liked it especially the bottom since that's where the dressing sits and the panini had a great cheese pull and was delicious. The service was not very good at all the waitress was hard to find but it could have been an off shift so I'll definitely give it another chance. #omni #lunch #Boston #Massachusetts #hummus #chickensandwich #panini #asiansalad

Shawnalee S.

Yelp
Salmon is advertised with lemon shallot pesto but only comes plain with a chargrilled lemon half (and no shallots at all). I could have gotten plain salmon with lemon anywhere. The insulting part was the chef telling me that was a pesto. Dont gaslight me. And don't try to chefsplain if you are wrong. Probably thought I wouldn't know any different. If you changed the menu just say you changed it. Don't lie.
google avatar

Yelp
We came to the Sporting Club to watch the Bears & Vikings games while in town and had a great experience! The atmosphere of this place is amazing, with screens on every surface paired with an upscale masculine feel, this is perfect for any sport lover. The menu is filled with delicious gameday eats & drinks - I literally took a lap around the place to see everyone's orders since we couldn't decide what to get. We ended up getting the Queso dip and it was the perfect mid-day snack. The crock was spicy, cheesy and filled with delicious meat. We both couldn't stop eating it until it was all gone! The environment here is also perfect for any Patriots fan - watching their game was electric with the cheers! Highly recommend for any sports fan in the area!

Yelp
I loved the vibe here! It was so lively, energetic, and people seemed very chill. Place looked really clean and felt really clean, that's what I love esp how clean the bathroom was. I hate a dirty bar and bathroom like how can you feel comfortable? Food was different which I liked and my favorite was the lobster roll and grilled cheese mmmm so good. Thanks to the executive chief, his food definitely deserved some applause.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a fantastic hotel restaurant/bar inside the Omni. During my time in Boston, I decided to get lunch here by myself, so I sat at the bar and had excellent service and meal. There were two bartenders/servers who took care of me. They were friendly, quick, and professional. I ordered a whiskey cocktail, oysters, and lobster roll. All were absolutely delicious. The lobster roll was large, served with chips, and perfectly buttery! I really enjoyed my time here.
google avatar

Kim W.

Yelp
Go see Owen at the bar. You will not be disappointed in the chocolate martinis !! Service was excellent. Younger crowd.

kait b.

Yelp
Such a great spot to catch a game and have dinner/drinks. The ambiance is spot on. Their Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich is delicious. Definitely will add this to the list for go-to spots in Seaport. Does not feel like a "hotel" restaurant. Service has always been solid.
google avatar

TJ J.

Yelp
Service was atrocious! Hostess was rude and rushed us. Sat at my table for a significant amount of time before receiving my food. Water was not replenished once. Food was mediocre at best. Avoid this place
google avatar

Ben S.

Yelp
Was staying in the Omni Hotel and my wife suggested getting dessert after a late night hot tub session so I stopped here while she went back to the room. It was late so they let me sit at an empty table while I waited. It's probably not really fair to write a review based on takeout dessert, since presentation and plating are so much part of it, so I'm trying to account for that. But it came out within ten minutes with silverware and plenty of napkins in the bag. We had the Apple Donut Bread Pudding and the Pot de Creme. All of it was fair, but would have been better eaten in the restaurant. Atmosphere seemed great. Even though it was almost 10pm it was packed with massive tvs showing sports - exactly what you want out of a sports bar.

Jimmy G.

Yelp
Great atmosphere wings were good drinks were better lol has all games on screen staff was kind good place to hang out
google avatar

Madeleine W.

Yelp
Food was delicious and service was fast! The salmon was super tender and so good. The vegetables had a lot of garlic flavor but I like that so it was great. The mezze platter was also very good! The bread was warm and soft and the dips were cool and refreshing. Super light and filling! It was like a sports bar that is also family friendly!
google avatar

Yanni P.

Yelp
Our bartender Steven was awesome! He totally took care of us and made sure our night was perfect. I ordered an espresso martini which was absolutely perfect. The chocolate covered coffee beans were clipped to the sides of the cup! My girlfriend and I ordered the pimento cheese which was a little salty but the bread was super crispy and scrumptious. The maple bacon was perfectly sweet. I also got a Maine Lunch beer from Steven and it was poured so well! The environment was very comfortable. The music was just loud enough and the bar had so many screens to watch your favorite sports game from. I will most definitely come back to this bar; it's the perfect date spot!
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
Great food and service. Went there for lunch twice. First time had the lobster roll and the second time had the grilled cheese. Both were outstanding.
google avatar

Willie R.

Yelp
I've been to The Sporting Club several times, whether as a hotel guest or as a neighborhood stop when I lived in Seaport. It is pretty lively on weekend evenings and is a more casual stop among the backdrop of nearby steakhouses. I most recently had the La Liga Crispy Chicken Salad, which was definitely a large, entrée-sized salad. It had huge stalks of little gem lettuce with a nice combination of flavors. The double double burger (which I get without bacon) is also a solid choice, and there are good cocktails. From a vibe perspective, it is usually sort of loud between the music and being a sports bar, although not as loud as a typical sports bar since this place is more elevated. I'll keep TSC as a stop whenever I'm back in Seaport.
google avatar

Scott W.

Yelp
Great environment, nice staff and amazing cocktails. We had a group here a week or so ago and got a variety of apps including the meze platter, spicy meatballs, nachos, and hot pretzels which were all very good. The drinks however, were tremendous. I had a rye old fashioned and also a side car, both perfectly made. Had a nice time here and will come back
google avatar

Todd E.

Yelp
Great spot for a game. But whoa, did not expect that Meze Platter to be the star. Holy cow was that good.

Emily B.

Yelp
The environment was amazing. A sports bar, but really classy! The food was delicious and the waitstaff were polite and considerate.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
I'm only rating one item. The service was friendly but they didn't tell me about the delivery to my room charge which was $14. Just tell me about it please. They were out of the queso so I got the pretzel special. The pretzels were warm and good. The options for dips presented with the pretzels were just ok. There was a cheesy ranch, honey mustard, and Chile con carne. None of it was bad or anything, just not outstanding or memorable. I'd give it a shot again but would go downstairs and try more items. Just not impressed tonight but open to trying again of course. You just would expect paying over $30 for pretzels means they are really yummy
google avatar

Yelp
The Sporting Club is an upscale sports bar located inside The Omni Hotel in Seaport. I took my teenagers and it was fine for them-you never know if bar type restaurants are going to be as welcoming. For food we got the chicken club, grilled cheese, and wedge salad. They were all really good. The sandwiches came with fries and two dipping sauces (ketchup and some kind of spicy mustard). I also tried a watermelon martini and an espresso martini and we got the chocolate pot de crème for dessert. It was all delicious but pretty pricey- for example, the wedge salad was $25 with chicken added. It had been a very long rainy day in Boston though, so I was happy to pay whatever necessary for warm comforting food. The cocktails were very good and their prices were about on par with what you pay at a nice bar in any city. The service was not great. There was a manager (I think) walking around and when he came to our table he just stood there a minute and smiled awkwardly, didn't say anything, then walked away. And while our food came out fast, our server was hard to track down a lot of the time. Overall, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back but if you want to splurge a little and have some good cocktails in a pretty laid back environment, this is a good option
google avatar

Dara W.

Yelp
We came her twice in a week. Once to watch World Cup soccer and another time to close out a night. Excellent atmosphere with TVs surrounding the entire place. The place was packed for soccer and we were lucky to get a table. The server we had was running around to so many tables. He remembered multiple orders for drinks and food. Constant smile on his face and was very personable. The food was excellent and we only ordered a bunch of apps. The Bloody Mary was very tasty and came with fried oyster/clam, lobster and shrimp as a garnish. Multiple games on during football Sunday. Much slower in the evening and more dimly lit. Server we had this time was not as pleasant or coming by our table as much but it was still fine. She gave us a great recommendation for the wings with the bbq run and they were delicious. In general the place is great, the music (or games playing) are loud so be prepared for that, servers are good.

Yelp
I am staying at the Omni at Seaport for work! It had been a long so I decided to order delivery from Chipotle. Well after 45 minutes they canceled my order! Needless to say I was a bit upset. I head down to the Sporting Club and plop down at the Bar. Daniel the bartender asks me what I want to drink o say soda water, no lemons extra Ice. He brings me two glasses perfect! Those glasses were never empty the whole night! I ordered the Wedge Salad (the salad is pictured) and a Burger no cheese. BTW the bacon on top of the Wedge was hot amazing. The burger came out with cheese on it they corrected. No need to knock off a star for that. The service more than made up for that, every request was taken care of in a quick timely manner. The staff was attentive and Daniel treated me like I was at a five star expensive restaurant. Good vibe massive screens and great tunes. The only issue was my fat ass was flat from the barstool!

Jean L.

Yelp
Stayed at the Omni hotel three nights. Ate at the Sporting Club all three times. Managers, hostess, and the bartenders are all highly recommended. Thanks. I witnessed customers giving them a hard time. I was polite and appreciative and I was treated in kind. Maybe a lesson to learn.

JJ J.

Yelp
Patrick and Dennis were great bartenders. Super friendly. The double burger was fantastic. Buddy got pasta with meatballs. I tried that. It's absolutely tasty. Definitely will hit that again Update. Went again. I got the same meal. Tasted just as great! Buddy got salmon. He said fabulous. Note: I got zapped for $2 for a slice of tomato on the tab. Be careful of adding charges.

Yelp
Came to watch a Thurs NFL game... Forgotten Mezze Platter, Good Brussel Sprouts, Good Salmon, Good Warm Crumbly Lobster Roll, Good Drinks... Very Loud Random Musical Playlist- they Never turned on the Audio for the Game
google avatar

Sue C.

Yelp
The best lobster roll I've ever had. Such a generous portion for how delicious it is. Worth every penny.

Brickley O.

Yelp
Valentina and Anna did a great job serving us! We felt incredibly welcome while at the restaurant; they recommended great dishes and drinks. We loved spending time here with them!
google avatar

SlatSlime A.

Yelp
Good time or bad time or depending on the bartender you see when you get there. Countless times they made the situation awkward or weird. I heard the same sentiment from guest at the Omni hotel as the bar is located in the hotel. With all that being said Patrick is an amazing bartender who goes above and beyond which is the only reason they didn't get a lower rating.
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
Great food and unbelievably fast service. The bartenders were attentive and friendly. Food was priced well for a downtown hotel and tasted excellent. It's an AWESOME place to watch sports as there are dozens of TV's located around the room. There isn't a seat where you can't see multiple tvs. I was staying at the hotel so it was convenient but I would absolutely go back if I visit the city again.
google avatar

Dan D.

Yelp
I first want to say this place is perfect for watching the game. The bar is so cool. It's huge and wraps around the restaurant. There are TVs everywhere lining the walls. It's hard to beat this atmosphere. I give it 3 stars because the food was suspiciously bad. Maybe I got the wrong thing? We ordered the Pork Wings and Nashville Hot Sliders. The Wings gave me dog food vibes, and I absolutely love pork. Perhaps I'll go back for beers and to watch the game, but eat food before I come.

Yelp
Upscale sports bar located in the Omni Hotel. Very nice set up with a beautiful bar. Service was very good, bartenders were very professional! Only knock is their limited food menu. Appetizer list especially is very light. Would have stayed longer if there were better options to snack on. We tried the wings. They presented very well, but were very sweet and light on meat.
