Amazing hookah spot in the valley has the best Persian food in town

One of favorite hookah lounges in LA! The ambiance is incredible - I love the outdoor seating and on top of that the hookah, food, and service is unmatched. Victor was my server and he made my experience 10/10 with his excellent customer service skills. To add, there’s plenty of parking. Definitely will be coming back, you have to check this place out if you want a good vibe.

My recent visit to The Spot Lounge was unfortunately overshadowed by Bobby's unprofessional conduct as the manager. His inappropriate language and lack of professionalism raised concerns about his suitability for the managerial position. Despite multiple available tables, three of which were indoors, our group of five at 1 am was denied seating indoors and placed in a poorly lit outdoor corner. Rain dripping onto my friend's head from an unprotected tent further dampened our experience. When we attempted to address these issues with Bobby, he dismissively stated no service was available, suggesting we wait on a waitlist at an unconventional hour. Disheartened by this, we reluctantly returned to the outdoor seating. Our efforts to order were thwarted by staff following the manager's directive not to serve us. Bobby's attitude and the establishment's apparent disregard for FDA standards, as seen in attached pictures, prompted me to report these concerns. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. I hope an audit is conducted soon, and improvements are made to address the issues with service and overall quality.

I guess Nowruz is around, I love their Haft Sin table. What a great place to have fun, the employees are very welcoming, friendly and fast as always. I really love the environment and atmosphere of this place. Foods delicious too, always have delicious pastries for dessert.

Ordered to go. The girl that took my order was nice. However a get things that I wasn't feeling. First I was told by the server they don't have any tadig. She didn't even know what that was. Like how do you have Persian food and not have that yummy krispy rice? Second, the kashke bademjan was good but had way too much oil. Lastly, the filet minion was ok but I've had better. Didn't stay for hookah but might go again with friends but would eat at another Persian place then go there for hookah.

Definitely my new favorite spot. Great food, great service, fun atmosphere, and very sweet people working there. Thanks a lot for such a fun time.

Amazing food and ambiance. I came during lunch on a Wednesday afternoon @2:00 pm as I am writing this post. I had to stop/pause eating to make sure I write my true feelings. The food is amazing, Hookah was recommended by one of the staff and it really tasty and good. Lasted for 30 Minutes so far. Wow! Love it love it. Approved and Recommended by @Moody360TV™️®️©️ I came here on another day and I noticed that the bathroom is always cleaned and stocked which is very rare at a hookah lounge. It is safe for a girl to come alone to enjoy hookah, food, tea, study or work during the day because it is amazing with the sound of the water fountain downstairs in the court yard of the shopping center.

My favorite spot for dinner to wind down & leave worries behind, the food portions are large & delicious. Can lounge afterward smoking hookah, you're never rushed to leave but to spend quality time with friends. Open late hours 3am & weekends 5am perfect for after party too.

!!!Bobby was the best server!!!!! This was our first time at The Spot. It was raining and they were prepared! Enclosed seating with heaters ensured we were comfortable. The food was SO delicious and the portions are massive. What really made our experience a 10/10 was Bobby! He was perfectly attentive. We were greeted promptly, he made us feel welcome, he checked on us regularly and never made us feel rushed. Bobby also brought extra water & tea for us at the perfect time and we never had to ask. He truly made our first experience so wonderful :) We appreciate you Bobby!!!!

The Spot has been around through all of my teenage/high school years so I've visited on multiple occasions but my last visit Jan. '24 was fun. I don't know that I would consider it an upscale Hookah lounge but it's fun. The food however, is always fresh and made to order. I ordered the cornish hen dinner, served with Mediterranean rice and salad with grilled tomatoes. I was pleasantly surprised at how seasoned, juicy, and tender the cornish hen were. My friends enjoyed their fries and snacks but I was the only one with a real meal. They also seemed to like the hookah. Service was ok, the host gave us a hard time about taking the large table because two of our people weren't there yet so she sat us at a very tight table. Thankfully, our server moved us with no problem.

Food: nothing to rave about. Hookah: terrible; you know when it just feels like you're inhaling a dirty dish rag? Ya. Service: slow but nice people. If you want good hookah do not bother. They don't serve alcohol in case you care about that.

This place is interestingly unusual and serves a very specific purpose... late night dinner and hang out. Open very late, outdoor seating is packed on a Wednesday night. Don't look for service as the servers are all rushed and doing their best. Don't look for quality food (although the menu has Persian options, the flavors are not authentically Persian) as this place clearly is capitalizing on being one of the few open establishments at this time of night in this area. The music is nice, the outdoor seating is packed with heaters, food is served fast, crazy portions (plan to share a plate) hookah, drinks. It's a fun vibe, so temper your expectations on quality.

I had the most incredible experience at this spot! The hookah here is absolutely amazing... smooth, flavorful, and perfectly packed every time. The staff is not only professional but also extremely kind and accommodating, always making sure you're comfortable and taken care of. If you're visiting during lunch, I highly recommend trying their lunch special kabob. It's absolutely delicious, especially when you order it spicy it's perfectly seasoned with just the right kick! The portion size is generous, and it pairs wonderfully with their fresh sides. I also love the salad it came with. YUM. This place has the perfect combination of great food, exceptional service, and a cozy atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone!

The hookah place of the valley. If you live anywhere in the valley , then you know of this place. Everyone who's ever been here claims to know the owner, the same excuses and the same stingy Russians or middle eastern cheapies who come here. Besides that , the place has the typical hookah like any other bar, but this place has managed to survive the pandemic and the same original owner. Been coming here for over 20 years, and this place has been here longer than that.

I've been to this spot before, but this time the experience was exceptional. The wait to be welcomed with great ambiance inside and seated at our table was short, and our server, Z, handed us the menu and recommended dishes tailored to each of us. It was my first time trying a new dish, so I was a bit skeptical, but once I tasted it, I was thrilled with our choice. My friends also loved their meals. Z's service was outstanding--she anticipated our needs perfectly. We never had to ask for anything; she was always ahead, providing refills and anything we might need before we even thought to ask. It was truly amazing service, and if I return, I'll definitely be looking forward to having her as our server again. Thank you so much, Z!

Great food. Try the table side guacamole made fresh table side. Service is unlike any other place, the owner really knows what he's doing and directs employees to provide the best service without sacrificing efficiency. Ambiance is cool, based on its location they did the best they can. Most important points, amazing food. Great spot for dinner and hookah, survived top notch efficiency, and open till 4 am. No other place in valley even LA offers as many perks.

I can't believe I've been coming to The Spot for over 20 years!!! Lol! And there are many others like me. It's crazy how they haven't changed, if anything it's even better now! Their food is amazing. Dessert amazing. Appetizers amazing. Everything is so good!! And of course the hookah and mint tea on tap. Great service too!!

This place has been consistent with good hookah, tasty food and great service for many years. They deserve to be rated better, because if you see how busy they get, getting prompt service is surprising. Place could be loud or chill depending on where you are seated. They've got a wide variety of hookah flavors and don't forget to get the mint tea that comes with free refill. One of the very few hookah lounges in and around LA that's open this late.

I went there to watch the game. The food was ok. Service was ok. The ambience was ok. They don't serve alcoholic drinks .

It is hard to find it if you are not a regular. It is in the back of main entrance and doesn't have big sign in front or at the restaurant. Food seems expensive here. Lunch specials are better priced; kobideh sandwich is $18, but it comes with fries and drink. Lunch Barg is $28. There is no indoor sitting so if very hot or cold in the valley, be prepared. Service is fast and friendly. Majority of people seem to come here for hookah. Lamb kobideh sandwich was good but bread wasn't fresh, fries didn't taste fresh either and seemed old. Barg was good, but nothing special. Overall, I was happy with food, but the place is a hookah joint not a food spot.

We drive all the way from san diego to visit the place . Title: Horrible Service, Will Never Return I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at [the spot ] was so bad, I felt compelled to share. From the moment we walked in, the service was awful. We were seated and then completely ignored for 15 minutes--. When our server finally showed up, they acted like we were bothering them by placing an order. The To make matters worse, when we tried to talk to the manager about our experience, they were dismissive and didn't seem to care at all. It's clear that customer service is not a priority here. There are so many better places to spend your time and money--don't waste yours here!

The service is good, the ambience is okay, the food is not bad either. It's located in a parking plaza, so there is a lot of parking. Their portions are pretty big compared to the other Persian places.

Been here many, many times. Never disappoints. Love the vibe, the music. We had a wonderful server who always made sure our teas were filled. Their prices have gone up over the years, but so have many other restaurants... They've also expanded their menu. I highly recommend the watermelon feta salad with grilled chicken. The watermelon, feta, and chicken were so fresh. I at least didn't feel bad about spending so much since the food is well-made.

I have been a patron of this establishment for over 11 years. During my recent visit, my party ordered food and a few shakes, but unfortunately, the beverages seemed watered down. When I requested a cup of ice from our server, she informed me that she couldn't comply due to the risk of losing her job. Seeking clarification, I approached the manager, who asserted that it was company policy not to provide ice. We then requested the check in advance to expedite payment, considering the server's responsibilities. However, to our surprise, we were abruptly handed our food to go and essentially dismissed from the premises. The manager arrogantly declared himself to be akin to the owner, stating that our patronage was unnecessary.

I guess we didn't give it a chance. We liked the environment, but barely had we ordered the tea, when wifey said "what kind of tea is this - the water tastes weird and there's no cardamom." If an Iranian place doesn't have good tea, we're out. Maybe it's just a hookah lounge after all...

Thank you SO MUCH to Erin for getting us seated right away, she made sure we had thee absolute BEST seat in the house. The food is amazing, I love how this place is open so late! The hookah flavors are endless and the staff always give great recommendations if you can't decide. The Armenian coffee will give you that energy you need, I love sipping on the Persian mint tea with bamia and hookah :) don't be discouraged by outdoor seating- they've got plenty of heaters. Come in Uggs and sweatsuit or come dressed up, you'd be fine either way!

Used to visit a lot more frequently years ago and recently made a to go order. Ordered a chicken kabob and fries. The portions were generous however the quality of food was lacking. Ordered a few plates but The chicken was dry and the fries were limp and I live about 5 minutes away.i guess I'd expect the fries to go soggy but I don't understand why the chicken was dry. The cashier was nice and professional.

A very nice spot for dinner/tea/hookah. They have pretty good customer service. The owner also makes contact with most tables to ask how guests are. They have unlimited mint tea once you order a cup (they will have refill for you all night). There is no alcohol here. However a lot of other good drink options. It is outdoors but they have heat lamps everywhere so the temperature is coordinated pretty well. For food - I'd recommend their dolma appetizer & kubideh dinner plate. They also have a lot of other yummy appetizers including watermelon & cheese, a plate of cucumbers, fries. They also have an array of desserts.

Wish this was halal! It is NOT HALAL no meats are halal. However, the vibe is pretty cool and the salads and tea are really good. Just wish it was halal!

When I see bad reviews of the spot and witness the people who give bad reviews. its horrible... if u try to skipp the wait list and threat to leave a bad yelp review .. you should be kicked out and not be served... if u are offered ice cream for bday and that's what the restaurant offers.. dont complain if its free .. if you are a party of 4 and can't use a 6 sitting table.. its a business every seat counts ... people are so entitled in this age and need to grow up. This place is the best hookah bar restaurant in California.. period... its not always perfect but they strive to be the best hence why they have been around for 20+ years .. most others places have come and gone ... that is saying something

First time here. Great place with great food, and great service! Got the salmon kabob and it was amazing! I looked forward to bringing some back home but left it on the table when I walked away. When I returned to retrieve it, it was naturally picked up and discarded - totally my fault. Ruiz and his team had no hesitation to make me a new one. They didn't have to but they did. Great first impression, great "spot"! Will be back.

The best Shisha spot been going here for a long time . Food is good service is friendly they tended get busy in the nights and weekend . Got here for lunch it was light crowd and really enjoyed chilling here .

right spot for good Persian/Iranian food. One of the best I have been too in the Valley. Great Hummas and Beeef Khobediah here we enjoyed, and many other mixes with Pita bread. Place is great with a upscale kind of Middle Eastern vibe to it. Nice employees and so much food. We also had a few good drinks at the Hookah bar too. I gotta say, one of the best I have had the pleasure and luck in coming too.

This place totally hit the spot when I was craving Persian food! The flavors were on point and the portions were large. I ordered the Kubideh Chicken ($28), which is easily 2 servings. My husband got the tres tacos (chicken). He said the tacos were alright, but I don't know what you should expect from tacos from a Persian restaurant. The Kubideh was a little pricey, so I'm glad it was 2 portions, but still probably more than I'd like to spend on lunch. I wish I'd seen the lunch specials before I ordered. They aren't available via ordering through the Yelp app, but they are on the menu, so I guess you just have to call to order them. Ordering online was super easy, but the service leaves much to be desired. The restaurant itself is tucked away in the back of the plaza, so don't expect a quick pickup.

The Spot is really what the names says it's the "Spot". It is located inside the Encino Town Center. There is tent area and tables that surround the outside. There is no inside seating out this is an outside experience. It is a restaurant and hookah bar. It was such a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere there. Everyone was so helpful and delivered quality customer service. The heat lamps kept us warm and cozy outsider. The prices were great and portions were a nice size. Food was fresh and had great flavors. There are many menu options for food and dessert. The guacamole was made fresh front of me. It was such a great vibe and an upscale yet relaxed experience. 10/10 I highly recommend this now my go to spot. if you like good food, vibes, and hookah this is the place for you. No place is perfect so here are my downsides or things to consideration before going. #1 No alcohol served #2 Flavors of hookah could be better or more prominent!

I've been twice and the service was absolutely horrible. The waiters never came to check on our table. The second time visiting, I was denied because I had an out of state ID..... I'm 26. The manage was also extremely rude. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

!Que onda, amigos! I want to share my experience at The Spot, this super chevere hookah and restuarant spot in Encino, California. My amigos and I were looking for a place to chill, and we definitely found it here. First, lets talk about the ambiente. The spot is perfect for hanging out with your friends or for a dat night. The decor is super modern and welcoming, and the musica was a mix of raggae and pop which made everyone want to dance lol/ The staff was amable and attentive - they really made us feel right at home. iGracias, muchachos! Now, lets get to the comida. The menu has a great variety of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes. I ordered the beef kebab with rice and salad, and let me tell you, it was deliciouso. The meat was so tender and flavorful - I loved it! My amiga tried the falafel wrap, and she was all about it, saying it was one of the best she's ever had. and of course we can't forget the hookah. There were so many flavors to choose from, but we went with the mango and mint. It was a perfect combo, and the hookah itself was smooth and enjoyable throughout the evening. The atmosphere was super chill, perfect for catching up with friends. But amigos, I gotta be honest. Im giving The Spot 4 out of 5 stars because parking was a pesadilla. We had to park a few blocks away, which was a bit of a hassle. But hey, at least we burned off some of those calories from the comida. So to wrap it up: If your looking for a great hookah spot with tasty comida and a fun ambiente, check out The Spot in Encino. Just make sure your ready for the parking situation. Me and my husband been here several times. Great for hookah, food/drinks. The service is on point! Ambiance is good for hanging out, and they tvs to watch games. One of our fave spot in the valley.

The Spot has middle eastern food, service is great and ambiance is chill. They stay open until late!!

Have been coming here for years. No matter what time of day i come in im taken care of by their kind staff don't have to wait in line for long at all and if i do it's only a few minutes. They make sure to go out of their way to ask you if you need anything multiple times during your visit. The food is always consistent and delicious. Always my go to for hookah in the valley.

I like it here. Though sometimes the owner is not in the right mood. He was yelling at a customer in front of others the other day which we didn't appreciate.

Food is simply Nasty...great place to hangout and smoke but, Food is on your own risk and you will waste your money. ordered soup and smelled so bad and tasted like ass.. I will NEVER eat there again.. beware of the food... very bad sanitary based on what i saw...

If there is any place to go to receive amazing fresh, Middle Eastern, food, great desserts, unlimited teas, you have coffee you have amazing service hookers, and that is open until 4 AM. This is the place to take your friends and family. The ambience is amazing at night time you got he lanterns he got the whole vibe outside and inside like I said the food is a must have great appetizers, fresh guacamole made. Don't miss out on the opportunity to really enjoy a great vibe and amazing food.
