The St. Regis Singapore

"How did it strike you on arrival? In a neighborhood of modern, glass-paneled apartment blocks, the St. Regis stands out with its fleet of imposing bronze Bentley limousines parked outside the hotel. The interiors of the lobby are unapologetically decadent—gilded chandeliers drip from the ceiling, and ornate Chinese cabinets and bold artworks from a private collection line the walls. Nice. What’s the crowd like? Those who unashamedly embrace the finer things in life. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. The Executive Deluxe Room was positively palatial for a lead-in category (then again, prices reflect that). The spacious bed chamber had a sitting area, work desk, window seat and a king-size bed with a gold headboard against a polished wooden wall. Everything was oversized, save for an oddly tiny coffee table in front of the sofa. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The Sealy mattress and 300 thread count sheets made for a good sleep. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that worth a mention? The mini-bar selection was fairly standard, but a butler service (just press the “butler button”) will bring you anything you want. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.Large and luxurious, with two sinks set opposite from each other and a bathtub in the middle. An Ad Notam TV in the middle of the mirror facing the tub means you don’t have to miss your favorite show while soaking. The lush toiletries are by Laboratoire Remède. We all need some good Wi-Fi. What’s the word on that?High speed and complimentary. Anything stand out about other services and features? The hotel’s award-winning spa is consistently voted among Singapore’s best. Bottom line: worth it?If you’re looking for luxury that you can see, this is it." - Audrey Phoon

The Singapore Trump and Kim Are Seeing

"Kim and his crew of jogging bodyguards have been holed up at the St. Regis just down the road, closer to the main shopping district along Orchard Road. The hotel is "OMG-level opulent," notes Phoon, with "imposing bronze Bentley limousines parked outside the hotel," butler service at the push of a button, and interiors that are "unapologetically decadent—gilded chandeliers drip from the [lobby] ceiling, and ornate Chinese cabinets and bold artworks from a private collection line the walls."

Congrats to the St. Regis team for the successful rejuvenation. They have replaced much of the opulence of the 2000s with the quiet luxury of today to reflect the current zeitgeist. The suites are still as stunning as always and Brasserie Les Saveurs (renamed as The Astor Grill) is still as grand as ever. Astor bar (renamed as The St Regis Bar) is still a cozy place for drinks and the Spa is still as relaxing as before. Unfortunately, Decanter did not make a reappearance (it was a long time ago, I know) so evening cocktails are now conducted at The Astor Grill. Afternoon tea is an elaborate affair and the KPT with mango pearls are to die for. Service is still excellent from each and every member of the team. Apologies if I didn’t managed to get your name. Many thanks to Syi Kin for knowing exactly what I want without having to ask. I am also grateful to Ryan and Jisoo who are the most efficient and delightful butlers I have ever seen at St Regis. Thank you to Sahil for the showing the ropes so i managed to saber my first bottle on first try. Overall, still the place to be to channel your inner bougie. Don’t take my word, come and experience it for yourself.

Went for 60th birthday weekend. The staff at the hotel were so welcoming especially Jatin the executive butler. Making sure all my family needs were taken care of. |Hotel was clean and recently renovated.

I’m conflicted writing this review. On one hand, the room was new and beautifully designed, and we did experience some wonderful service - especially from the gentleman at the lobby, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and from Syikin, who was courteous and responsive in arranging a birthday welcome for my partner. However, the experience started going downhill at check-in. 1. We had specifically booked a room with a Botanic Gardens view, but were instead placed in a higher floor room facing other buildings. While we were told this was an “upgrade,” it certainly didn’t feel like one. When I raised this, we were offered the option to switch back to our originally booked room - but only after 7pm, and without any form of apology. I do appreciate the intent to offer an upgrade, but the lack of clear communication and flexibility made it more of a hassle than a benefit. 2. The hotel promotes its sustainability efforts by providing an in-room water filtration system instead of bottled water or kettles. While I support this idea in theory, the unit in our room was not working. We had to call to request water and tea - something that understandably takes time, but it also meant that our plans to rest and enjoy our room after check-in were disrupted. Ultimately, this stay left me disappointed and regretting our decision to celebrate a special occasion here. It had the potential to be great, but fell short in some key moments that really mattered.

The chef and staff at the St. Regis exhibited such class and excellence. Especially the chef Kamal Hossen. Truly, providing a feeling of elegance and food that was warming to the soul! The answer is never no, it’s “just one minute “! They always had a solution and a way to make your experience special.

I had a great staycation here. From the start, the doorman Ali was friendly and understanding of my two kids asleep in the car, and very helpful. Rowena at the front desk was patient and helped me with arrangements for my kids too. The room had a wonderful view, and was generously large. The water dispenser made it very convenient for making formula milk. I didn’t dine in. I did enjoy the Champagne Sabrage, which featured Ruinart. The only small letdown was that I hoped to swim, but even though it was nice and sunny, the pool was completely shaded and flanked by structures, making it too cold for me. All said, the stay beat expectations.

I stayed for 1 night on 12 Sept 2025 and the experience was disappointing. Check-in wasn’t smooth as the online app didn’t allow me to check in, so I had to queue at the counter. Upon getting Room 2512, I didn’t notice anything at first, but later at night when we lifted the quilt cover, we were shocked to find stains on the bedsheet. It made us wonder if the bedding had even been changed. As it was already past 11pm, we had no choice but to put a towel over it and sleep. On top of that, the lights on the right side of the bed and in the toilet were flickering, which should have been fixed before guests checked in. The next morning during checkout, I informed staff Syihin, who apologised. However, I was disappointed that there was no follow-up or service recovery after my feedback. I’ve stayed at St. Regis before and always had good experiences, which makes this incident all the more upsetting. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to maintain the high standards expected of a luxury hotel.

Our stay at The St. Regis Singapore was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly special. A special mention to Gan from concierge and our butler Wilbur — both went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect. As Platinum members, we were upgraded to a stunning suite (Caroline Astor suite) in the newly renovated property — an absolute beauty inside and out. The room was luxurious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. To celebrate our special occasion, the team surprised us with fresh fruits, chocolates, and a handwritten note — such a heartfelt gesture that truly touched us. The complimentary wet spa was a relaxing treat, and the breakfast was simply outstanding — fresh, made-to-order juices and an incredible variety of delicious dishes. It might just be the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had! This was our first visit to Singapore, and the team here made it unforgettable. We will definitely return to St. Regis on our next trip!

Google
Very disappointing for a St Regis. We stayed for 1 night for a staycation to celebrate our anniversary. Check in was all smooth and we are Gold Elite member, our request for early check in was accommodated. The room itself is a good size, bathroom is big and has a nice bathtub. Room cleanliness however can be improved, carpet has big noticeable stains. I find this absolutely unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. We were offered tea/coffee upon arrival and it took forever for the Butler Kumar to arrive. There is supposedly a service to unpack and pack, but just the tea/coffee took forever we thought we will just leave it. So we tried to make some tea/coffee ourselves with the kettle in the room but it was all dusty, have not been cleaned for a long time. That was just putting salt to the wound. All in all, I think Butler Service needs to improve. If it's being offered and sold as part of the uniqueness of St Regis, then please make sure you are offering the service at a level that is on par with the rest of the St Regis hotel.

Yelp
Let's start by saying you really can't go wrong at the St Regis. The service is always top notch. We booked a standard room, but due to our Marriott status got an upgrade to one of their specialty suites. Since the current occupant requested a late check out, we afforded a "resting room." A very nice touch. Unfortunately, once we got to the room, the air conditioning was not working, which in Singapore means the room, while spacious, and opulent, was a dreadful 27 C (81F). Try as they might, the engineering team was unable to rectify. We offered to forego the upgrade and retreat to our very cool and refreshing "resting room," but Nelson would have none of that. It was off to the Astoria suite -one of their largest rooms. Complete with separate bedroom, two bath rooms, desk/office area, living room, dining room table, and balcony. Wow! The room was way more than we needed, but precisely the type of amends which earns St Regis high marks. Everyone from the butler, to housekeeping, to the front desk continued to check on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. When we arrived a mere five minutes before the last order time in the Chinese restaurant, we were accommodated, and treated not only to great service, but incredible food. The same goes for the Astor Grill where we took breakfast each morning, and the Astor Bar for Apertivo before the ritual Sabrage nightly. The door, bell, and concierge staff were also very accommodating and helpful. The hotel decor is old world elegance, so can feel a bit dated, and stodgy. The pool is okay. The address is great if you want to step away from the craziness of the Marina Bay Area, but is still a short taxi or MRT ride. We highly recommend.

Yelp
Nice hotel in a good location, it is getting aging but well maintained. The staff are helpful and the breakfast buffet is excellent. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Very nice hotel experience. Service was friendly. Pool area was nice. Very good breakfast. Infrastructure is a bit dated and not aging fantastically (Eg.,it looked like a leak had caused minor water damage on the ceiling in our room that didn't have the best repair job.). The nits I would have would be trivial if it was a more mid line Bonvoy banner, but the experience was definitely not on par with other St Regis's I have stayed at. Still not a bad choice for a higher end hotel.

Yelp
Excellence is their name! We absolutely loved this place. The place was extremely clean and the Staff was absolutely great. It took us a 22 hour flight to get here but we definitely will return. It happened to be our Anniversary and the Staff went above and beyond to help us enjoy it. Thank you St. Regis Staff for a great experience!

Yelp
This was the most luxurious hotel I've been too. First impression: This place is very clean, elegant and organized. All the workers were very helpful and the check-in process was very smooth and pleasant. They have a nice bar area in the hotel where there is live music which I enjoyed. The lobby and pool area were very beautiful and I would describe it as classic as well. Room details: The bathroom was spacious and included a shower with multiple jets, bathtub with tv and two separate sinks for a bedroom with two queen beds. .The curtains were automated, and there's great control of lighting options. The cleaning room people will also come in the fold your clothes and iron them too on request! They also provide slippers and bathrobe for use as well. Negatives: -Breakfast here is pricey (like everything else here I guess) but it would have been amazing if breakfast was complimentary. -The key cards where also very confusing to use. They only work a certain way and the blank design makes it hard to realize that until someone shows you. The Recommendation: I can't really compare this place to others because this was my first 5 star hotel experience, but I enjoyed my stay here. If you get the chance to treat yourself, this is one place to do it.

Yelp
Underwhelmed by st Regis Singapore. Service was good and location was good but the hotel appears to be on the older side and the decor was also not as luxurious as other st Regis. Overall a pleasant experience but not as memorable.

Yelp
I had an amazing stay and time at the St Regis hotel! As it being my first time in Singapore as well. I felt welcomed and was just in awe of the beautiful breakfast to the amazing rooms. I was served and recommended at breakfast by Chistianne to this amazing bar. I loved everything about the bar. From the live music to the great service by Rezza. She made some of the best drinks I've ever had at this bar. Thanks for the memories, I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I LIKE BEING SPOILED When it comes to repeatedly selecting the same hotel for vacation, its rather rare for me unless it's beyond exceptional. There is absolutely nothing I don't like about The St. Regis. It's location; sophisticated ambiance; my suite; my butler; the staff; and great chefs harmoniously spoil me to the core. My upcoming visit will be for my BD and 40th anniversary.

Yelp
Pretty disappointed overall with this St Regis, especially after coming from Langkawi St Regis where everything was immaculate. Part I: Check-In (1/5) Checkin experience felt like waiting in line at a Walmart. It took about 30 minutes, which is absurd for a 5 star hotel that's not even fully committed. Despite requesting Your24 earlier and having it confirmed, upon arriving the room was not ready at checkin. They refused to upgrade to larger suites despite having immediate availability, instead suggesting that I can pay for it. Again, customer service at its lowest. The front desk manager seemed rather unapologetic. Part II: Marriott & SPG Platinum Ambassador Recognition (3/5) I used a suite night award here and the suite I received was decent at best. Lowest floor with no view, really cramped space, but beautiful design. The breakfast experience was subpar. Selections were good and food was tasty and fresh, but service was inattentive and at times borderline disrespectful. The only other benefit I tried to use is Your24, which obviously did not work with this property. Part III: Design (4/5) It's a pretty new property and the design in many ways is spectacular combination of Chinese influences in a contemporary setting, with European influences. It's not a big hotel in terms of common areas, but quite beautiful. Although the lobby itself isn't particularly unique or impressive, the breakfast area and ceiling are truly state of art. There is even a beautiful bench in the elevator. The room design is also gorgeous all around, with very unique chandeliers from hand blown glass and crystal. Part IV: Service (2/5) Not even counting the checkin experience, the service in other areas was not at a St Regis level whatsoever. They told us when checkin it was the moon cake festival. Great! Who would say no to moon cakes? However, upon going to the store to get them at the hotel, there was nobody there. Had to go searching around for someone to help us, which they eventually did. Butler service also was an issue. Trying to contact them from the room would simply go into endless ringing with nobody picking up. When eventually I was able to get my shirts to get pressed, it took very long to get them back and I didn't end up needing them by that point. I thought a couple hours would have been sufficient at a 5 star property, that's again, full of empty rooms and clearly understaffed. Staff at the restaurant for breakfast were very disrespectful as well. Overall, this was not a St Regis experience. I would recommend staying somewhere in Singapore.

Yelp
4.5 stars The St. Regis is about a 7 minute walk from the nearest MRT station and right by the botanical gardens. Excellent rooms. Beautifully furnished with classy decor, and everything you need is provided. LOVEEE the complimentary butler services. They will bring you free coffee or tea, press or steam your clothes for you, and shine your shoes for you. And DUDE, they even have a pillow menu (a PILLOW MENU!!!) with 15 types of different pillows to choose from!!! For me, this is what sets them apart and makes them top-notch! (Obviously, we definitely abused the butler service and ordered coffee/tea more than 1x every day and ordered four different types of pillows haha. May I suggest the body pillow for your ultimate relaxation needs). Maid service is very impressive too. I notice how they take care of small details, such as placing our slippers neatly over a towel mat between the beds and providing extra everything (toilet paper, water bottles, tea bags etc.) One day, the maid even came to make our beds TWICE (without being asked)! All the staff are very considerate and friendly. The pool and gym are very clean. Water bottles and towels are provided. Breakfast buffet is a pleasant and glamorous affair. Lots of options and attentive waiters. Tons of dessert/pastry options, custom-ordered waffles and omelettes, fruits of every kind (dragonfruit, papaya, guava etc), smoked salmon, fancy cheeses, etc. The only thing that extremely disappointed me (thus the 0.5 star deduction) was that they do not provide a Bible in the room. We tried looking for it everywhere in the room and then asked the butler about it, but after he left to check if the hotel had any, he called to reply that unfortunately they do not have Bibles! However, overall, very impressed by this hotel and the quality of service.

Yelp
I stayed here several nights in 2012. Singapore is like Hawaii without the trashy people or the trash. It really is paradise and the St. Regis is the sweet spot in the sweet spot. You don't tip in Singapore - weird I know. People are just at their best because it is who they are as a nation. Check in is very professional and then you are escorted to your room by a room attendant. The attendant offers to unpack your things and you give them garments you want ironed or not. You're shown the layout of the room, and he explains how everything works. I fell asleep on the super soft heavenly bed because it was midnight and after flying in from IAD to NRT to SIN all I could do was sleep. I had the best sleep of my life on this bed - I am still unsure if it was the bed or jet lag. Every morning I had coffee in my room and to date I have yet to taste a cup of joe that was this delicious. Everything taste better in paradise. The staff was amazing and guest are acknowledged at every turn. They nod, say hello. That makes them approachable, I love that feeling. I felt a "Big Brother" feeling but not in a creepy way. It was warm and safe, I knew nothing "bad" would happen as I waltzed around this country. And every day I returned to the sweet spot. When I came back the first day the room attendant had tucked in my beloved Raggs. Wow - that really did it for me. When a grown man has the finesse to tuck in my Raggs I bow my head in respect. Thank you. The weather was to my liking it felt like home, my real home, my birth place. If I had the money to live well in Singapore I would move but sadly I am just a Central American Gal living in the U S of A.

Yelp
I'm giving the St Regis in Singapore 4 stars (a B) for meeting our expectations as far as luxury hotels are concerned but definitely not exceeding them by St Regis standards globally. Overall, this St Regis gets high marks for convenient location and is average with respect to luxury, upscale accommodations, in general. TIP: If you're looking for the resort experience and looking for a Starwood property, the W is slightly off the beaten path but has a HUGE pool, indoor/outdoor bathrooms and other amenities that are typically concordant with luxury resorts. If you want the ultimate picture, the Marina Bay Sands has their notorious rooftop infinity pool (only guests can access the pool) but the accommodations are just meh. Location. The St Regis is on Orchard Street, where most of the high-end stores are and also 4 times a year, the street gets dressed up and celebrates the various cultural special occasions. I was there for Christmas; think 5th Avenue in NYC on steroids. Depending on your room, you can get great views of Orchard Street. This St Regis is about 8 years old and it shows. The rooms are relatively small compared to other St Regis hotels. We usually stay in corner suites, which still seem pretty cramped. As in all St Regis suites, there are 2 bathrooms but they are literally adjecent to one another (the half bath sliding door opens into the master). The window in the bedroom is pretty small, which obstructs natural light into the bedroom and bathroom. The beds are comfy with a pillow menu -- but that's a signature standard St Regis feature. Service. The service, from the front desk to the concierge to the waitstaff to the maid service to the butler service, is stellar, right on par with other St Regis hotels. The maid service includes turn down service and leaving treats out for you daily, fresh daily slippers, Remede spa toiletries... but it's nothing out of the ordinary for St Regis (such as in Miami where they clean your glasses and leave them on top of a St Regis cleaning cloth). Food. I love the breakfast buffet, which is my favorite part of staying at this St Regis. The fruit is fresh and savory, everything is made to order, the pastries are moist and light, the dim sum is flavorful and perfectly steamed, the parfait is delicious with just the right amount of sweet and tangy, the sausages and meats are tender and well marinated -- everything, in the world of breakfast buffets, is perfectly prepared. Amenities. The pools are lackluster, the gym is run of the mill, the spa isn't spectacular -- all departures from your typical St Regis amenities. Ultimately, the trade off is that you're in a very centralized location with easy access to most everything. For the convenience, St Regis gets 5 stars but overall, the price you pay is not commensurate to the kind of luxury, upscale experience that you would get at other St Regis locations. If you're willing to trek away from the centralized area, there are better options.

Yelp
As much as the St. Regis Singapore touts it's quality, it sorely lacks in customer service and care for it's guests. My stay was during the Donald Trump/Kim Jong-Un summit, of which Kim Jong-Un was staying at the St. Regis. What the hotel failed to do was mention this during checkin or at anytime during the process. Needless to say, we were quite surprised when the hotel had airport-level security at the front entrance, was surrounded by Singapore Police armed with assault rifles and snipers from the rooftops. The lobby wasn't much better, as it was swarmed with North Korean officials, hustling us up packed elevators and constantly shouting. Effectively, what was supposed to be a place of relaxation for an Eastern Asian vacation became riddled with stress and we actively avoided the hotel as much as possible. I raised the concerns above to management, and to say they met my concerns with tone-deafness and apathy would be an understatement. The response I got from them is as follows: "Greetings from the St. Regis Singapore! My name is Shahryl, the Duty Manager of the hotel. I truly appreciate the feedback about your recent stay at the St. Regis Singapore. It is our goal to provide superior service to all our guests and consistent accommodations. Your comments are very important to us for future improvements. Mr *****, please accept my sincerest apologies for a stay that did not meet your expectations. I would also like to thank you for taking the time to explain your experience in detail for us to move forward into places we can improve in similar situations. Please do let me know when you are planning to come back to The St. Regis Singapore and I will ensure seamless service during your stay or contact me if there is anything else I may assist you with, I am at your entire discretion. Have a great day ahead! Respectfully, Shahryl Kamaruddin Duty Manager" I was taken aback by how little care the St. Regis had for an issue that dramatically affected guest experience. I'm definitely not staying at this hotel again, and based on the feedback I received I think I will also actively avoid Starwood Hotels in the future.

Yelp
St Regis Singapore used to be a great option in Singapore but the rooms just feel dated and overpriced now. The level of service certainly doesn't justify the markup St Regis thinks they can charge compared to other hotels like Far East. Sure, St Regis may have a concierge but I have yet to see a significant difference of service between the concierge at St Regis and the front desk at Far East.

Yelp
Along with the Four Seasons, the Regent, the Shangri-La, and the Mandarin Orchard, one of the five 5-star-plus hotels located within walking distance of Orchard Road, the main shopping district of Singapore. Its location on the edge makes it easier to 'protect' from a security viewpoint, and therefore a favourite destination for important foreign dignitaries, like Kim Jong Un; in that sense the Shangri-La is even easier to 'cordon' and was where the Donald recently stayed. Service is excellent, including the legendary St Regis butler. Shinjii by Kanesaka has an outlet here. I personally prefer the more personal and intimate Four Seasons hotel.

Yelp
It's a beautiful hotel smack in the middle of one of the nicest areas in Singapore. The room was well stocked with a french press for coffee, fine teas, plenty of bottled water, and basically any grooming supply you could possibly need, including bath salts, a loofah mit, and several extras. The hair dryer actually worked better than the one I have at home! Our room had the most beautiful view on the pool and surrounding hotels/highrises. The option to have a day or night screen was an added bonus. It was furnished very tastefully and with three different sitting areas so appreciate the view, take in a movie, or read one of the many magazines or papers they provided each day. The bathroom was a great surprise, too. The his and hers sinks, the beautiful stand alone bathtub, the heated mirrors, the fantastic shower, and plenty of closet space, along with a safe for more security. The pool was immaculately clean, as was the fitness center. The only thing I found to be lacking were the treadmills- definitely not interval runner friendly (the speed controls were ridiculous). I didn't interact with staff much but everyone was extremely pleasant when I did. We were always helped into a taxi with minimal waits and got some good tips on where to eat from the doormen. Overall great experience. It was a perfect spot to come back to and relax after long days exploring the city.

Yelp
Conveniently located in the heart of the action, shopping, restaurants, or bars, you have everything you need to enjoy this magnificent city, at walking distance, Hard Rock Cafe around the corner, biggest shopping mall 5 min stroll through beautiful spacious and perfectly well maintained streets full of vegetation and modern design buildings.

Yelp
This hotel checked off all the boxes for us. Great location close to fun nearby shopping and walkable to some of the best bars in the world. Had a killer meal here at the Chinese restaurant, their version of singapore chili crab using fresh king crab legs was awesome. With our elite Marriott status we received free breakfast which was very good as well as a free drink for my both of us at their bar each night and the options included Ruinart champagne...yes please! The rate was very affordable considering the level of service and the rooms themselves. Definitely will stay here again.

Yelp
Really nice hotel in a top location, close to Orchard road and the shopping area. I am not a big fan of the St Regis style, I like a more modern design. But the room was large by US standards and well-appointed. Their bathroom amenities were branded from the hotel spa. A big thank you for allowing to check-in at 6.30 am after an 18h40m flight from EWR.

Yelp
4.5 stars due to distance to MRT station and higher price... We stayed here for a couple of nights in November 2016. They were very professional, always pleasant, and our stay was just perfect. We got upgraded to a nice corner suite that had a cozy living room. This came in really handy when my fiance took work calls in the middle of the night. (Sorry, honey, I'm going to BED!) The room was clean and had butler service available. I didn't use the butler service, but don't we all just feel better knowing it's available? The in-room French press and electric kettle guaranteed a wonderful cup of coffee and tea, which we used every day of our stay. The bathtub was modern, but styled like an old fashioned clawed foot tub. It was large enough to fit both of us for a soak using the bath salts they provided. The room also had a walk in shower with lovely marble (or travertine?) surfaces. There were separate climate controls in the living room versus the bedroom. All of the sheers/curtains and lights were controlled using bedside switches (with the exception of the table lamps on the coffee tables in the living room). It made it more convenient to turn off lights after we dragged ourselves into bed. The location isn't necessarily ideal for getting around to other neighborhoods (it's a bit of a trek to the nearest subway station), but it was easy to use Uber (beware - surge pricing gets pretty high during rush hour in the morning and afternoon, but is otherwise pretty affordable). It was also really close to a few shopping malls that had amaze-balls food courts. I ate the best bowl of pho I've had in a while in a food court a block away. Also, we walked to one of the big gardens from the hotel, and it took about 20 minutes. The gardens were amazing, with the orchid garden being the highlight for sure. Speaking about food, we enjoyed lunch in the hotel one day during our stay. They offer a buffet lunch served with an entree in addition. The buffet included salad, sushi, desserts, cheese, and a bunch of other stuff. The entrees were good, but not very big. The prices for lunch here are pretty high, especially considering how inexpensive food can be in Singapore. But, it was very comfortable, easy, and tasty...all in all, we didn't regret our choice to eat there. We finally left this hotel to go stay at the Marina Bay Sands (we wanted to swim in the tallest infinity pool), but honestly, I was sad to leave this place because it was so nice. It felt like home. I would definitely love to stay here again and would easily recommend it to travelers.

Yelp
This hotel is pretty bad ass however, there are a couple things I didn't really think were up to par with a St. Regis. The rooms are very spacious and the tub looks amazing. The gym at the hotel is just a basic run of the mill gym... nothing to crazy about it. Oh and its pretty small. The pool is just that... a pool. I've stayed at the Fairmont in Singapore and yeah the rooms may not be St. Regis caliber but the pool is amazing and the gym is out of this world. The bar is a big too stuffy for my taste but the buffet at the St. Regis is by far my favorite. So, this hotel has some highs and some lows but all in all you can't go wrong with this choice.

Yelp
I agree with other Yelpers on the lack of service and response from this hotel. Check in was horrendous even with platinum status. Despite arriving early, we were not checked into our room until 8:30pm that night, 5.5 hours past standard hotel check in times. After promising that they would figure out a make good for us since we had two little ones in tow, I could not get a hold of a manager or staff member to actually provide me with a concrete offer until 24 hours into our stay. By the time we finally got a response, we were pretty much ready to pack up our bags and go, leaving very little time to actually redeem their offer. To top it all off, after our afternoon swim at the pool, we came back to the room only to experience brown murky water flowing out of our tub and shower faucets. The kids missed their nap as we waited two hours for the issue to be resolved in our wet bathing suits. Not the experience we were hoping for as we flew in from different countries to celebrate my father's birthday. In contacting SPG for a resolution, I have waited over 4 months with constant follow up only to have the hotel close our case numerous times without any explanation. Despite having so many negative reviews on their yelp page, the fact that not a single manager has hopped in to apologize or offer a make good is also very telling. Avoid this place at all cost. I would give them negative stars if I could.

Yelp
When the elevator of your hotel has a bench in it, you know you've reached snob status. The grand deluxe was pretty massive for a standard room. Nice views of the city, Bose system for music connection and beautiful pool. The Lady Astor corner room is about 30 sgd more but not much bigger, and only faces inside towards the residences of the complex. Location is fantastic, walking distance to the metro, shops and food. Customer service was superb as expected at a property like this. They run buy 2 get 1 free nights on for stays that start on thurs-sun. Fancy schmancy.

Yelp
Extremely poor responsiveness and service. Not worth the price. Many issues with door not locking, lights coming on during the night due to their maintenance staff...and only "oh I'm sorry"...and then It got worse--Bose speaker system came on during the middle of the night! Cheeseburger like a hockey puck! One really good thing--the doorman is so enthusiastic and has a great welcome-- too bad the hotel management is dreadful.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best hotel , I went in my life , expensive but worth it the penny! The front desk is very efficient ! I had to print a contract, that I emailed to the front desk , I said that I was going to have my breakfast and will go to pick it up after . He nicely came to the breakfast salon , looking for me to bring me my paper ! I was very impressed. The room are beautiful and very modern , from the lighting to the curtains and music everything is automatic, you just have to press a button. They also offer a free late check out if they are not too overbooked, at least until 2 pm . Amazing experience!

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous decor, best described as opulent. I loved the marble, wood, glass, high end textured wallpaper and the beautiful carpeting. The St. Regis in Singapore is clean and well maintained. Staff try hard to be helpful and are friendly for the most part. Room service is decent...just about average/what you'd expect (could be better, could be worse). Food is wildly overpriced, of course. The AM buffet is nice with Asian and Western food options and a gorgeous view of the hotel's elaborate fountains. We were also impressed with the pool area which our toddler loved; small lighted fountains all over that flowed into the pool, he couldn't get enough of those. The grounds have lovely statues and expertly maintained bonsai throughout. The concierge really left me hanging with medical assistance, however. I developed dysentery after eating Singaporean street food (do NOT make the same mistake!) and when I reached out to them for advice re: how to acquire antibiotics they only told me about the $300 per visit hotel doctor who "may or may not have medication with him". They failed to tell me about the 24/7 walk in urgent care attached the hospital w/ it's own built in pharmacy a mere 5 min. away...thanks guys :/ Had I known of the hospital I could have gotten relief sooner and not had to miss a day in Australia owing to my inability to board a plane I was so sick. Anyhow, it is a nice hotel but don't expect too much from the concierge...they can place your room service order and get you some fresh towels but that's about it.

Yelp
I honestly had an amazing stay here, and I can't wait until my next visit to Singapore so that I can return back to this location. It's honestly everything you could possibly want from a hotel, and I was so pleased with my experience here because they really do everything they can to make your visit a very enjoyable one. As you walk in, people acknowledge and greet you, and you can't help but feeling happily welcomed. Check in was very easy, and a lot more personal than other hotels, which is always a nice feeling. You sit across from them in cushioned chairs, so that you don't have to stand, and it gives the sense that they are really trying to make you feel not just like one of many other guests. The lady who helped us out with checking in was very pleasant, and tried to be as accommodating as possible when we wanted a higher floor. The rooms here are so beautiful, and very large and spacious. From the moment you walk into your room door, everything just feels so cozy and amazing. There is a nice desk area in the room, also with a sofa and wonderful lighting from the windows and from room lighting too. There's a control panel by the bed where you are able to control the lighting for the entire room! There's also buttons next to the bed to control the "Do not Disturb" so you don't have to walk all the way to the front door. Each room is equipped with Bose speakers too (but we personally didn't really make use of them). There's also two large, spacious closets for you to unpack your belongings. The bathroom is also amazing. There's a his and hers sink, which makes getting ready a lot faster and easier. There's also a nice and large tub facing a mirror with a built in TV, so you can entertain yourself while you relax! The toilet and shower room are also sectioned off with separate glass doors (don't worry they're opaque and not see through!). The shower was also wonderful, and had different water adjustments, so you can have water coming from above and from the sides, which was great! Perhaps my favorite part about my stay at the St. Regis is the personal butler system they have. This hotel really knows how to take care of you really well. The butlers are always so kind, and ready to help you out with everything you may need from bringing you coffee or tea at any hour of the day or preparing your garments for pressing. We had this one amazing butler named Nori, who did a spectacular job of taking care of us during our stay. We had guests come over one evening, and she did everything to make sure that we were well taken care of! She did an amazing job, and made us truly comfortable during our stay at the St. Regis. But truly, all the butlers we had the pleasure of meeting were all wonderful and did a fantastic job! Like I mentioned earlier, I'm already excited for the next time I get to visit the St. Regis because I really had the most spectacular time here. Everyone is so kind, and all the staff here are so friendly and do a great job at everything. Even when we were waiting for our taxi to come as we were about to leave, they told us to please wait inside because they didn't want us to feel too hot in the humid heat. Little thoughts and steps like that make it all really count! So good job St. Regis! I would recommend this place to anyone, and trust me I'm sometimes hard to please! I left here very satisfied!

Yelp
The St. Regis never fails to impress with its tastefully decadent decor, Michelin caliber restaurants, personal butler service, and a superb concierge staff. I have stayed at this property 4 times now, hosted a 150+ attendee meeting here, and yet I'm still oddly amazed every time I walk in. I particularly also enjoy the location, outside the city and close to the Botanical Gardens, it's quieter, but still close to Clark Quay and other nighttime haunts. SPG platinum status gets you breakfast and canapés in the evening, both of which are remarkably well appointed given that they are free. It's a better value than most other SPG properties. The spa is also well priced (for Singapore standards), although obviously you can go to Little India for a much cheaper full body.

Yelp
When I travel to Singapore for business, I normally stay at the St Regis; however, this will be my last time staying at this hotel. When I checked in, I was offered a Smoking room even though I had reserved a Non-Smoking room and Non-Smoking is also included in my SPG profile. The manager assured me that they had cleaned the room and it shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, the room smelled horrible and I requested a different room. The front desk manager (Melissa) made no attempt to air the room out or offer another Non Smoking room and that I would have to wait several hours for a room to be cleaned. Her arrogance was over the top. I called my travel department and they found available rooms at the Hilton around the corner. When I told the manager I was leaving, she told me that I would still be charged for the room. The arrogance of the staff and the over-priced accommodation are two reasons why I will never stay at this hotel again. Avoid this hotel unless you enjoy paying lots of money to be treated poorly by hotel staff.

Yelp
I love that I have nothing negative to say about this property. They do just about everything right. If it's anything it may be slightly watered down version of some of the more opulent St. Regis's, but it's still a step up from a traditional Westin, and a leap up from a Sheraton. I arrived after midnight and realized I hadn't booked enough nights. Losing 24 hours in transit completely threw me off. Capable young lady cringed as she added another night to my reservation praying I wouldn't throw a fit. I didn't, my fault. Had a very nice room and was greeted almost immediately by the floor butler. His name is Alvin (like the chipmunk) and although he was younger than the men I've had look after me in the past, he was still very competent. I had just traveled for a solid day, so I may have been a little loopy. Concierge Bernard helped me with a reservation for White Elephant and to arrange transport back to the airport the following day. Effortless. Returned to my room later in the day to find his success in both endeavors in writing on my desk. All I had to do is ask. Top shelf breakfast seemingly came with my room rate, I had no idea. Many styles of breakfast and multiple cultures represented. Very easy to overeat at breakfast as everything is incredibly good. Try to avoid doing so as once you step outside from the lobby and that wall of heat and humidity hit you, well, it's not pleasant. Singapore is hot. Like August in NYC hot, but every single day. Spent an hour or so every afternoon by the pool. Small but very cool. Staff there knows how to look after their guests. Nice casual restaurant stands by directly behind the pool in case you feel like having a light bite and/or a cocktail. Not sure if I'll be back to Singapore. It was a very pleasant experience though. Would definitely look forward to staying here again if I do go back.

Yelp
This particular St. Regis did not live up to others I've stayed in around the world. The service was fine, but nothing spectacular. The sink in our room didn't drain and I was constantly worried that it would overflow while brushing my teeth. The wifi was HORRIBLE. It would literally drop every 2 minutes and I would have to reconnect. Very annoying. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious, but I wasn't wowed like I have been at other location. Also, it was quite a hike to the closest MRT station.

Yelp
The thing about 6 star hotels is in my book is an apparent lack of a common standard. In the case of the St Regis Singapore, the 6 stars are all about smoke and mirrors, literally, I mean, if a butler and a TV in a bathroom mirror are all that make this a 6 star property. Let's take a very simple example and compare apples to apples. I had the privilege of spending some time at the Ritz-Carlton at Palm Beach. I was there for brief business meeting on a weekend when there was a big wedding. Friday evening saw the hotel parking facilities almost overwhelmed, but traffic came through and valet parking proceeded flawlessly, I actually took a break from the meeting to watch this balletic work of command and control. The assistant manager was out directing traffic and apologizing to the drivers, complementing the ladies on their outfits and how radiant they looked and assuring them they'd all get inside for the reception on time. He did all this whilst maintaining tight control of his crew, everybody knowing what they needed to do. Everybody was doing something useful to keep the cars moving and the guest safely into the hotel. The seemingly endless stream of cars moving in a steady cadence through the front portico. There was NEVER a line. No honking. No upset guests. Contrast this with what I witnessed this evening with cars backed up all the way along Tanglin Road and guests getting antsy about missing a 7:30pm dinner date. This was not an unplanned gang rush, they knew they would be expecting at least 400 guests for a wedding dinner and most if not all the guests could be expected to arrive by car. There were doormen clustered around the door, taxis were left to cut cars off that were trying to valet park, then everything came to a standstill. There must have been 12 staff at the entrance and nobody had a clue what to do. Traffic control is a fairly basic thing. It is where hospitality starts, the very first impression, and it's basic safety. I don't really have to meet the butler if the doormen and streetside concierge can't keep the front of the house tidy.

Yelp
Luxurious and attentive in service. It's a St. Regis and it's in Singapore - of course the service is going to be spectacular. The pool area is just the right size for the hotel, quiet, and peaceful. Nice collection of Boteros and Miros in the public spaces.

Yelp
My husband book a standard room here for a staycation on my birthday and we felt like royalty! TV in the gorgeous bathroom, a free-standing tub, and a tastefully designed room with round-the-clock butler service. Our butler offered to set up a romantic bubble bath, brought coffee and a birthday cake with compliments, and asked if we'd like to change our pillows based on the 15-20 types that they had to offer? While the surroundings are a little sterile, Orchard road is just around the bend, and the delightful PS Cafe (Palais Renaissance) is a stone throw away if you find prices at the luxurious Brasserie Les Saveurs a little steep. Amazing grand stay, loved it. No other hotel has been as tastefully decorated imho. I'd definitely recommend St Regis for a romantic staycation. Find an excuse, any excuse, even if it's just because it's the weekend, you have to stay here at least once.

Yelp
I recently attended an event here at the John Jacobs ballroom on level 1U (sounds like I just won another life in Mario). I had never been to St. Regis before although I'd heard about how beautiful it was. The lobby felt like something out of a Disney movie, with its white marble floors, huge chandeliers & winding staircase. The staff were equally impressive and very helpful in showing us the way to the event. The ballroom it self was a bit dark and not the biggest, but i'm assuming it was one of several rooms that opened up into one massive ballroom given the size of the event. The food served was excellent, Wagyu Ribs were melt-in-your-mouth good and very well plated. The bar at the entrance looked gorgeous as well so its definitely worth another trip back.

Jeanette L.

Yelp
The hotel service was terrible. I ordered a fruit plate at the lobby bar and it took over an hour to deliver. I called for laundry service and again waited for an hour to get the butler to come and pick up. It's the worst hotel service I have ever experienced.

Yelp
Absolutely perfect hotel. We were upgraded to a great room. Check in was fast and easy. Butler Service amazing. Also stayed at the St. Regis in Abu Dhabi on this trip and it was the same high quality with great service. WiFi worked great for me. Shower drain was a little slow but the volume of water was so huge I can see why. Never overflowed into the bathroom but got close.

Yelp
I had such an amazing experience staying here by the friendly staffs and well assistance. The check-in process is fast and at a very friendly cosy environment, I sit on a cushioned chair across the check-in staff, I did not have to stand as many other hotels. And I could not ask for more from a 5 star hotel like this, modern and new facility, everything from light, curtain movement is well managed at the control panel right by the bed. It really worth the pay.

Craig B.

Yelp
Wonderful place to stay in the Orchard Road area. Staff is very attentive, food quality and drinks are top notch. Rooms are beautiful with great amenities and decor. Glad we stayed here, although it is a ways away from the harbor and Chinatown. Shipping and the Metro are nearby.

Yelp
Horrible service. Went for High Tea. No waitstaff. Obnoxious dancers and music. Not classy. Food was mediocre.

Yelp
I mean...what could be better than getting your own butler at a hotel!

Diver G.

Yelp
We love St Regis Singapore because it is walking distance from the gardens and shopping. Okay, the butler is nice too! What is unique is the television in the mirror over the bathtub. You can not go wrong with staying here. Take the metro from the airport and a short walk to the hotel if you want to be adventurous.

Mark S.

Yelp
Ok wow.. Service is terrible! We were at the pool, ordered a $42 pizza, arrived cold and it was terrible. Drinks were nasty and mis-made. We were ignored for 92 minuets (we counted), and given the bill constantly, but not our drinks nor food. A hawker stand would have given us better service. Fail guys. We come to you precisely for the service, we paid for it, but we're not served at all. Never again
