The Still

My husband and I stopped in here while we were out doing some Christmas shopping over the weekend. My son had requested a "nice" bottle of Reisling wine, and we found several to choose from. We found the prices to be quite good on our favorite hard cider from Glacial Till and on bottles Crown Royal whiskey. We even found the new Chief's edition.

I like good quality garnish cherries. They are pricey, but I can't use "grocery store" cherries when I'm using Johnny Blue label and high quality sweet vermouth for my Manhattans. Today a great deal on Angel whiskey. 30 bucks off ...

Good option for finding different liquors. Not too big so easy to find everything quickly.

I love this place! They have the most incredible selection of beer I've ever seen. I don't drink beer very often but I love checking out the variety. The wine and spirits selection is top notch. The staff are great help especially when you are clueless or just open to their great suggestions.

It has a great selection of liquors and other spirits. I'm not an expert in wine, but they seem to have a decent selection. Again, I am not a wine expert, nor do I purchase much wine. that said, there seems to me a more comprehensive wine selection at a store near 12th and South St. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I would give them five stars, however they did not have the product for which I was searching. They did however help me find a good alternative to the product I was seeking.

Nice store with a broad selection of wines, beers and liquors. Not the most extensive stock but a good general showing in the liquor category! Very helpful and polite! Overall, a good place to shop!

Great selection of all things alcoholic lol. Love knowing that you can find everything from your cheaters brands of alcohol to your higher tier items. Definitely my favorite place to shop for liquor!

This is the place to go if you're looking to buy specialty beers or find a new favorite wine. If you want to get something special to serve, check this place out. Forget grocery stores or the Quick-E-Mart if you want something special. You can find all sorts of imports & varieties here. They do monthly free wine tastings & they know their beer. They do special orders, & they even put out a newsletter. THAT is love. NOTE: As I post this, the wrong address is listed. The Still has moved from 48th into a bigger location at 6820 S 70th St. (next to Home Depot at 70th & Pine Lake Rd.)

knowledgable staff. Was skeptical at first. Thought it was a waste to have a building with only alcohol. After I went in, I was impressed with all the variety. Knowledgeable staff. They also have specials going on. I went during St Patrick's day week and they had some fun Irish themed beer.

Probably the best selection of booze in town. At the same time the customer service isn't the best. I just spent over $100 and I had to ask for a box. The cashier walked past two new boxes that he had just stocked in order to provide me with a ratty open box with no dividers to separate the product. The customer after was provided a new box and his products were hand carried to his car. I always seem to feel a bit miffed after shopping here

Love that they let you fill your cooler with ice after purchase! Great selection of beer, wine, & spirits. At 7: 15p on a Thursday night, it seemed like there was two dozen staff around to help customers! I do wish they had a refrigerated section of white & sparkling wines.

OMG, I can't believe the selection or the prices. Even in cities many times the size of Lincoln, you'd have a hard time finding a better liquor store. I love making good, classic cocktails and had thought it was going to be impossible to get all the ingredients I need in this town. Benedictine, Campari, Absinthe, Peychaud's bitters (and about fifteen other kinds of bitters), Pernod, several different varieties of Italian and French Vermouth. Wow! Wow! Wow! I can't believe they carry all this! The little lady and I may never have to go to a bar and pay $18 for a cocktail again; with this selection I can make everything imaginable. And the prices on more common items are still even better than HyVee and other grocery stores.

I'm new to buying wine, and felt very nervous walking in but the staff here are so helpful. At one point, three guys were helping me find the wine I was looking for! I tried several other stores in Lincoln but this one was by far the most accommodating!

Store is really nice and well kept! Lay put is easy to find with everything easily labeled! Large selections of beers in coolers as well as wines. Came in for a local bottle of wine before I left the state. Staff was super friendly and knowledgable! Awesome at answering questions when I asked about a beer for my husband. A great place with a great selection and really nice staff! Prices are not marked up too bad above the actual vineyards pricing!! Their other prices and specials are also great! Especially for unique items and hard to find items! They also will call you when an item is in if it's out of stock!

I have never been treated as poorly as I was today at The Still. The employee who was helping me started to ring me up until one of his friends walked in. I was trying to ask him for something but he ignored me and kept talking. Finally another employee saw this going on and grabbed what I needed. At this point I am frustrated. After I was done checking out I let the guy know that I thought it was rude the way he treated me. His reaction was to glare at me like he was mad at me. I don't think I will be going back.

Decent selection but the service is terrible. If you try to ask questions they act like you're an idiot who should already know.

I've only bought Nebraska wines here but it had a decent selection, but not the best I've seen in Lincoln. Over all it had a good selection of wines, too. The prices were reasonable for the wine I bought, slightly lower then what I've paid else where.

I'm from Nebraska and now live out of state, but always come back to The Still when I'm in town for it's excellent selection and good prices. They have an impressive variety of liquor. It's also nice and clean, very well kept.

One of the best places in Lincoln for specialty beer, wine, and liquor. If you happen to be in Omaha, there are several better places, but I can't complain about the selection. Not too shabby!

As much as I love Val's, or Amigos, or Runza, the one place that I ALWAYS go in Lincoln is the Still. Excellent beer selection, love the "domestic" beer selection. A lot of fancy beer stores like to load up on imported crap, but the Still always has one of the best selections of American microbrew beers. Their prices are usually pretty good as well.

The Still is my #1 choice for beer or wine selection. They have a large variety available, and lots of hard to find varieties. They have a knowledgeable staff and offer wine tasting classes.

I am a big fan of The Still. They have a huge whiskey and wine selection, also a good beer selection but I find I don't drink much beer these days. The also periodically have tastings where you can try new whiskey or wine, which is nice because it gives me a chance to try new things I might not otherwise try. These tend to be on Saturdays. They have sales and this is when I usually buy stuff, like over the holidays they had better prices on Knob Creek, Crown, Baileys, and our fav wine then Hyvee or Walmart. I am a little OCD and I memorize prices so that way I know when I'm getting a good deal, and usually I buy stuff when its at the best or lowest price unless of course I need it right then, but that's rare for wine and/or whiskey. The staff knows their business and is pretty helpful. Every time I have asked for something off the normal path they have pointed me in the right direction every time.

this place is what all liquor stores should model themselves after...huge huge huge selection for the area, perhaps in the wrong location being so far out on the south side, seems pretty sober up in there...

The place was great and had a good selection (not the wine I was looking for though) and most of the employees seemed friendly. However, when I got to the counter the idiot standing there refused me service because he was "uncomfortable" with my legal documentation. I just renewed my license and have not received the new card, but I do have the papers that validate my previous license until I receive the new one. Yet, this guy seemed unable to comprehend the situation and sent me away. What a dick! Seems like a nice place, but employees like that make me not want to go back.
