"This club adjacent to the Turk’s Inn features global-inspired performances, events, and record releases for less than $25. Look for Eastern Mediterranean-inspired bites from the next-door restaurant." - Paul Schrodt, Alexandra Ilyashov, Eater Staff

Had trouble finding the place at first since its was attached to the same building as Turks Inn to the far left. Had a great time! Get pat down at security(which is great since some other places don’t have this). This is “Home and Abroad”. Event $21 on dice, coat check $5, Paloma $15+tip. Lighting has a unique touch, sound wasn’t bad. I did like they have a ice water on the side of the bar is a life saver whining and dancing for three hours straight! 🇯🇲🪘

This place is visually stunning and has a great bar setup, but the sound for rock shows is AWFUL. Their sound system either doesn’t have enough juice to balance out the drums, or they have a sound engineer who has no idea how to mix the room. After the crowd literally screamed for more vocals during the headliner it got *marginally* better, but it was not very an enjoyable show watching bands that would’ve otherwise sounded fantastic in a different venue.

What a unique little gem I've heard about my only recently experience in the flesh and blood with a gaggle of excited friends. The restaurant looked amazing and very fun decor, would love to come back for that experience. However, my friends and I went STRAIGHT up to the patio roof deck bar and danced our hindquarters off all night. Dang, I'm forgetting the DJ's name but he was GREAT and had the sweetest little grin from out dancing excitement! I love that they offer frozen drinks (always fun), and it truly feels like you're in a little tropical oasis. Not to mention, all ages which is always a delight especially in Bushwick where it's mostly a younger crowd. The energy was good, no pervs, and lots of great fashion for the viewing eye. Can't wait to come back!

We went to The Sultan Room to see the duo The Bygones in their album release event. It was a small venue, but very nice, and I am pretty sure all standing: I know that we stood. The sound was very good, though I felt the bass guitar and bass drum were a bit loud for the vocals of Josh and Allison. The audience was very receptive and respectful. We did not take advantage of the bar there, as we already eaten dinner at The Turks Inn next door. We were VERY fortunate to find a parking spot a few doors down, otherwise it might have been difficult to park.

Great staff, consistently interesting and impressive bookings, really reasonable prices for tickets and drinks, and just a really on point vibe all around. I'm a huge fan of what The Sultan Room brings to the table. The layout inside is excellent for live music - it's really intimate. The rooftop is a lot of fun, too. I've really never had a bad time here.

Great venue for music. The lighting helps takes shows to another level and the tiered setup allows good views and convenient bar. We also had our wedding at the Turk's Inn with dancing and DJ in the Sultan Room. Natalie and Varun were great to work with.

This is one of my most favorite venues in Brooklyn. It has such a divine and mystic atmosphere…. I’m always enamored by the energy. My favorite is when they have the Home and Abroad musicians/drummers there performing with the DJs. It’s always a great vibe , never had a bad experience. They have free water in a dispenser instead of charging $5 a bottle for those who need hydration, the place can get packed but still able to move around, and the staff from the security, to the host, to the bartenders are all amazing people. I will always come here!

The band was amazing. The space was not so great. The PA speaker was blown so the sound was poor. I could not see the band at all when I entered because there is no stage. That’s right, no stage at all, just the band set up on the corner of this rooftop lounge. During the break I pushed my way to the front but then I was near the blown speaker. I’m not going back, sorry.

Yelp
Great rooftop space, I came here for a day party and the sounds system was pretty good. The drinks were strong and the area was pretty spacious.

Yelp
Sick venue in Bushwick. It has a very vintage, intimate feel. We saw Bendigo Fletcher and the spade filled up but wasn't overly crowded. Very friendly, crowd and workers. Definitely check it out.

Yelp
Saw a concert at The Sultan Room on Saturday night. A very cool venue, which is ideal for a smaller show. However, they need to be more cautious about how many tickets they sell and figure out the bar situation. Quality: Despite some flaws, this is a place I would gladly come back to over and over again for shows. The sound quality is great, the lighting is some of the best I have seen, and the overall aesthetic is perfect. It is made for a laidback concert, with an intimate crowd. Quantity: A small club designed for smaller crowds. Value: Tickets depend on show, but are never too high. Ambiance: The Sultan Room is a unique music venue in Bushwick. Attached to a sit-down restaurant and a take-out kebab shop, you find this funky lounge. As soon as you open the door, the smell of incense comes pouring out. Once in the main room, it is impossible not to be drawn to the stage background, which has constantly changing color patterns. It has a jazz club style seating with a lower and upper area, and standing room behind it. Crowd: Pretty packed for the show I saw, really depends on the band. Service: Strict security and bar not set up for crowds. Parking: Easy parking a few blocks away.

Yelp
Home and Abroad hosted Afrobeats and drums once a month. The vibes and decor was everything you'd expect for a good time. The drinks on the other hand... let's just say, pregame b4 you arrive.

Yelp
Cool venue. Small intimate. Go early if you want to snag a seat in the one seating area. The back of the stage has a prismatic light show which I liked but I can imagine it wouldn't work for some. Reasonable bar prices. Lots of eateries nearby.

Yelp
Woowwwwww this place was the coolest. I came when they had a live band of Caribbean drummers were playing. The vibe, the energy, the passion, AMAZING. Our cocktail was disgusting but I don't blame the bartender, nobody has ever explained to me what a Negroni was, if you haven't tried one, don't. It kicked me in the back of the neck for the next two hours. Other than that the experience was wonderful. Come ready to dance !

Yelp
Great small music venue and bar. Tasty drinks, reasonable prices, and a wonderful atmosphere! The vibe is immaculate which a cool light display and stylish seating. Great place to catch a show, DJ set, or just hang out. Random... but the temperature inside was reasonable too, not overly hot or cold. Good COVID precautions as well.

Yelp
Great little venue . Air conditioning works great too. No table service. One section reserved (mostly no one sat there) while many were standing. Employees are nice too. Just didn't expect to stand all night.

Yelp
Amazing venue to watch a show. The size of this place is just right. It didn't feel overcrowded at all. There's even a slightly more elevated platform in the back so people can still see the band if they were further back. The sound system was crisp and there was very good lighting. The drinks here were not crazily over priced. You really can't ask for a better venue. I will definitely return

Yelp
I have so much love for this spot - they fed 15 of my friends for my partner's bday last night and it couldn't have been better. The food, the music, the staff, the ambiance - they have everything figured out. This was his second bday at Sultan Room actually, it was perfect each time. Thanks so much to their team for the beautiful experience.
