"This restaurant comes from a chef who used to work at Puritan & Co., and the always-changing menu focuses on the island’s fisheries and farms. It’s a great stop for dinner (order the ricotta cavatelli), and you can either sit inside the classic Cape home or chill outside with a perfect garden seating situation. The service is warm and the playlist is always great, and thankfully light on the yacht rock." - tanya edwards

We had an incredible dinner at Sweet Life , made even more memorable by our waiter, Philip, who was an absolute standout. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable with spot-on wine recommendations, but he was also a delightful conversationalist who made us feel right at home. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor!

We came here for an early dinner on a Tuesday night last week. The restaurant itself is super quaint and cute with a great outdoor patio adorned with string lights. We were seated on an indoor porch area which was great and felt super private for our group. Cocktail options were plentiful and delicious and the non-alcoholic almond lemonade was super interesting and good. For starters we ordered: House made foccacia with extra stracciatella Carrots with urfa chili & goat cheese - this was my favorite appetizer, great flavors and textures Risotto with sweet corn and shiitakes - this was fine, but a little on the bland side I ordered the pork chop for my main course with the sauce on the side. Absolutely loved the pork chop and thought the spaetzle and collards greens were the perfect accompaniment. Cute restaurant, good service, great food!

Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. We had the six course tasting menu with wine pairing and it was well executed. The cocktails looked good but we didn't try one.

I was blown away by the flavors in the food here. It’s a month later and I am still thinking about it so much I wanted to leave a review. I had 2 dishes with these amazing peaches in it. If your a foodie and enjoy going to places where you feel like the restaurant workers and chefs are all super into it, this is the place. Aside from that, the place is a cute little house and set in a quiet street. Was there for my wedding anniversary and is def a romantic spot.

The Sweet Life Café in Martha's Vineyard offers an exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere is inviting, and its prime location adds to its appeal. I started with the Iron Ranger cocktail, which was really tasty and well-balanced. The subtle hints of pineapple and almond enhanced the drink tremendously. The focaccia might have been the best bread I’ve ordered for dinner ever. Really flavorful, soft, and fresh. For the appetizer, I chose the HAMACHI CRUDO. It was incredibly fresh and melted like butter in my mouth. My entrée was the MAFALDE, featuring pistachio pesto, crab, asparagus, and anchovy pangrattato. The crab was soft and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful and delicious. I finished my meal with an espresso martini, a perfect end to a wonderful dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend The Sweet Life Café for friends, family gatherings, or a romantic date night. It's a spot I'd love to visit again.

Super cute place!! Loved my tangerine pomegranate mimosa, first time trying that flavor combo. Food was delicious and the french toast could possibly be the best I've ever eaten! Staff was amazing and fun! I went solo and thoroughly enjoyed myself. And the music they played was PHENOMENAL!! Definitely returning with friends in tow!!

This review is based on our experience having dinner in November 2023. The Sweet Life was a truly surprise, an amazing hidden gem in Oak Bluffs, MV. The kitchen is audacious, their dishes show a genuine desire to take risks and whoever is in charge is delivering. Portions are correct, enough. Every ingredient has a purpose, each one has its moment in the journey. The grilled octopus resembles an interpretation of the Spanish dish pulpo a la gallega. The ricotta cavatelli is like if you were eating pasta with a hint of key lime pie. The anchovies in the mafalde, shout here we are!, but just at the right moment. And then, at the very end, you think all is over, the chocolate budino blows your head off. The service is attentive, simple, gracious. The ambiance, just like you'd expect from a place like this in MV. There's a disconnection with the 3-star menu and the rest of the place (not a complaint! is more like a compliment). You don't need the up-scale snobby set-up to deliver a fantastic experience.
