I enjoyed my visit and the chips and queso was delicious. I also had a drink and ground beef tacos. The tacos were decent, I will try quesadillas next time. Friendly staff and clean places to dine.

Stopped by after church last weekend. It was a direct request from my wifey. Food is good. Plenty of seating, even for larger parties. We have come through this restaurant a few times with our kid ministry serve team and we dont have a small group! Highly recommend the Picoso burrito combo 👌 The Cannonball is also one of my favorites! Worth a try, come on through!

The Spicy Fried Shrimp Tacos on Friday night are the best. They are moderately hot but have enough of a bite to let you know that you have something special. The chips & queso are wonderful. Our order was ready before we got to our seats. Great place for kids.

The lady that took my order was cool but when I got my food, no have a nice night out anything to busy chatting with the cooks. Got home which i live 3 mins away and my food was cold like it come out the refrigerator??? Even my soup was cold. I usually don't complain about simple things but this is the 2nd time!??? No 3 times for me! Had a whole salad on brisket tacos that weren't brisket at all....smh

Consistently delicious! Solid Tex Mex. I used to eat at Taco Joint weekly, now I only get to hit it when I’m in town and it never fails to disappoint. The staff are friendly, too. If you sign up for their email list, you might receive coupon for free chips and salsa. They sporadically send other promos, as well. Recommendations: any of the breakfast tacos, chilaquiles, brisket taco, spicy pork, and the queso.

First time eating at Taco Joint and man I enjoyed the food. Those crispy sirloin taco's mmmmm 😋, The disaster ( queso ) mmmmm😋😋, burrito mmmm 🤤. They will see me again 😁.Very friendly and pleasant place.

Good music, the new cashier wasn't very helpful when we asked if the beans had pork she simply said she didn't know, and that was it. Her coworker Isaac, on the other hand, was very helpful!!!

We love this place. Great tacos and they are open pretty early. I ordered the enchiladas on this visit to try something different for a change. They are legit tex mex restaurant quality. The rice was nice and flavorful, beans were seasoned well, and the enchiladas themselves were just plain delicious. I will keep them in my rotation for now on. Also, don't forget to get extra jalapeño ranch!

You know what I do when I am in the mood for really good Tex-Mex at an affordable price? I go to Taco Joint! The food is consistently good. The prices are very reasonable. Much cheaper than usual restaurant. The food comes out fast and hot. The homemade salsas are great, and I love the jalapeño ranch. Service is fast and professional. You order at the counter and your name is called in no time. You get your own drink and salsa. I usually go for lunch so I am not sure if they serve margaritas or not, maybe something for the future? My only complaint, and it is weekends can be really, really, really loud as seemingly everyone who lives in Lake Highlands goes to Taco Joint and decides to speak AS LOUDLY AS THEY POSSIBLY CAN. I joke, it is not everyone, Just 90%... I will be back!

One of my favorite Taco Tuesday joint. They do have happy hour as well. This place is always full with families young and old with specials everyday! I do their Brisket Taco plate! Every location consistent taste and quality!

Taco Joint is a great neighborhood eatery will consistently delicious food! Whether dinning in or carrying out, our food has always been hot and fresh and our orders correct. Very kid friendly, great patio if you can stand the heat.

This is my first time coming here came to meet my parents they meantioned about this place and I never heard of it. I love breakfast tacos very delicious and filling. They do have a rewards program which is nice. They do have a variety of different kinds of tacos.

A Lake Highlands favorite! The service is always amazing and very prompt. I think it has been the same staff for several years and they do an amazing job at keeping everything organized! This restaurant is typically full of families, packed with students or packed after church on Sunday's, but again, it's a place to come back to all the time. And food is delicious!

Casual atmosphere with great food! You order at the counter after looking at the vast menu options. You fix your drink and wait for your name to be called--which was pretty quick! We choose to sit in outside deck to enjoy breakfast. Jalapeño ranch sauce is yummy! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Interior has booths or tables and has neat collection of album covers on some walls, but back wall has big mural. Lights are tin cans.

The concept is the same as Taco Cabana only the patio is more hip and the interior is dark blacks versus the garish pinks. You order at the counter, you get your own drinks, condiments, (less choices), your own utensils and wait for them to call your name. Similar menu and around the same price point. There is no service whatsoever. However; the tip screen is swiftly shoved in your face with the options of 15-22%. In essence, you are to pay the kitchen salary by tipping. I have no issue with tipping and I'm generous, but give me some service before you demand it. The food comes in combos including a fountain drink and is exactly what you expect out of TexMex. Personally, I loved the rice and beans being served separately as I usually skip the rice. This was seasoned well and not as gummy as most fast food rice. They do have a happy hour per the sign at the door, $1 off all booze.

Taco Joint is my ABSOLUTE favorite tex mex place in Dallas. The staff is amazing and their service is so fast. This is a "no-frills" tex mex spot that never misses. Here was my latest order and how I would rate: - Breakfast burrito (8/10) - Queso (9/10) - Bean & cheese nachos (10/10) - Jalapeno ranch (10/10) I never leave Taco Joint without a LARGE jalapeno ranch in tow. It's so delicious and the right amount of kick! I also love the bean & cheese nachos - I usually order the half and they are my favorite nachos ever. The pictures don't do the food justice. The food was great for my first time to try it. The service is great they greet ypu whwn you walk in. And the ambiance is wonderful.

Great place! It was poppin' on a Wednesday night because everyone wanted to get out of their house after being trapped from the ice storm in Texas. This place seemed like the most popular place to come! Solid Tex-Mex tacos. The fish in my fish taco was really deliciously fresh! They have big chip baskets and after one purchases... free refills which was a great touch! The margs were delicious! I'd definitely return.

Food - Good Service - Good Ambiance - This is a good place to observe the decline of parenting now a days. Not the restaurant's fault at all, but I have never seen the scale of entitlement and bad behavior anywhere. Parents are oblivious to the behavior while they sip their margaritas. I hope the staff is getting paid combat pay. They deserve it. I make sure to tip high when I eat here. Parking can be challenging so be patient. Order to Go and save your sanity, unless you're an observer of the Decline of Western Civilization, lol. Oh, the margaritas are pretty good too. They help numb the din of screaming children.

We stopped in at Taco Joint to grab a bite after exploring an outdoor market nearby, it was a chilly and misty day and their chicken tortilla soup and taco combo was the very thing that I needed to ward off the cold of the day. The chicken tortilla soup was just hot enough to warm you up on the inside, loaded with lots of veggies and plenty of bite-sized pieces of chicken, it is solid comfort food option when it's cold and rainy outside. I love that they add chunks of avocado in it because it gives you plenty of healthy fats and makes it even richer. I ordered the combo with a steak fajita taco and drowned it and they're famous jalapeno ranch because, duh!! Their jalapeno ranch is still bomb, the perfect blend of a creamy and slightly spicy and what better way to wash down a taco then with an ice cold Coke.

the food is always great but they always forget items every time i order to go. it's super frustrating when u pay for items you don't receive. i order taco bowls every week and when i noticed i only received 2 out of my 4 taco bowls i called to get a refund and they claimed they double filled the cups when the cups are filled up every time i get them? super frustrating love the food but it's very disappointing.

THE BEST FOOD IN DALLAS! My husband and I drive over an hour to Dallas every week for date night. We ALWAYS decide on TACO JOINT! (usually the Lake Highland's location) After years of eating at expensive restaurants we have found that none compare to TACO JOINT. The food is consistently fresh, hot and absolutely delicious! We love the chicken street tacos. Also, the customer service is above and beyond. Thank you TACO JOINT for your attention to all the details. #tacosforever

1st visit yesterday and NOT disappointed!! Started with the Picoso Queso. It is a little bit spicier than the queso you're going to get pretty much anywhere else, and it is insanely awesome. The ground sirloin enchiladas very much hit the spot! Very much looking forward to trying some of the other menu items and checking out their happy hour.

food is always great but sadly they forget items every time! they usually forget margitas when they deliver and i picked up this time so they wouldn't forget the margarita and they forgot the jap ranch :(

We are forever loyal to Taco Joint!! Best breakfast tacos I've ever had and they do NOT skimp. The bacon is real and perfectly chewy yet crispy. Fast service and the vibe inside is quite comfy. Please contribute to their slice of the economy!!

Ordered the quesadilla and Evan and Sophie tacos from Taco Joint this evening. It was good but I wasn't overly impressed. The tacos were kind of small with not much filling and also considering the price. My delivery had a very tiny container of the jalapeño ranch sauce. The food did come served warm and boxed up well. I've been to the other location on Mockingbird and always had a good experience. Considering the price at $17 with tax plus the order fee and tip, I wasn't completely satisfied and was still hungry. Maybe next time I'll order more sides or veggies with the quesadilla.

Good food. One thing you should know though. This restaurant answers the phone with the following..."Taco Joint. Can I put you on a brief hold?" Let me explain what this actually means..."We are putting you on hold and will almost assuredly forget that you are on hold. You see...we are teenagers working here and our manager doesn't watch what we do much. In almost all cases you should just get in your car now and drive here to order". When you arrive you can actually look at their phone and see what you look like when you are on hold. Then you can suggest to the employee to take the phone order on hold. After you complete your phone order via phone at the counter you then get to freak out the employee by showing up immediately to pick up the order. Good food...employees need a bit more oversight.

Nice little taco spot to visit. I had the two taco combo (fajita) with rice & beans. I noticed when I got my order the tortillas were mission maybe the taste & smell is, I decided on corn instead & the meal was delish!! Staff here is wonderful super sweet & one young lady was so helpful I wish I got her name. But thank you to all of you it was nice

I came back to Lakeridge Village for grand opening of SoCo Coffee House & Bistro. I had a small plate of food, which was good. Across the parking lot, Taco Joint needed customers on this sunny Sunday afternoon, so I went. Chicken Tortilla Soup, YES! A good broth, with pieces of grilled chicken breast, and potato, carrot, yellow squash, zuccini, tortilla strips, avocado chunks. It was perfect in flavor & ingredients... BUT, it was served in a Cheap To-Go plastic container, with a plastic coffee stir spoon. C'mon...man!!!! Really??? Por Favor! Staff was friendly enough, very young kids today, too young to sell me a beer, had to get manager. Barmaid was awesome veteran, we traded prior food service / catering stories. Still going 5 Stars, for now. I like the vintage record covers on walls & ceiling.

These were the worst breakfast tacos I've ever had. Can safely say that after eating them hungry even. I'm only thankful they didn't make me sick. The order was wrong as well. Order elsewhere

Love the environment. The chips and queso were super tasty and the outdoor area is perfect for a group of friends. Margaritas were tasty as well and the enchiladas were great! We went back a second time to show off the fun spot to an out of town family member. Our next trip here will be for brunch, we noticed they have a good brunch menu on our last dinner here!

The Picoso Queso was not good to me. It looks like more Humus than queso and lacked the cheesiness of queso. Really thick and just not pleasing. I regret not ordering plain queso. The XXX sauce set my mouth on fire but has a good flavor. Washing it down with a 'Rita worked! I wish they would add margarita options on their delivery menu through DoorDash.l and maybe add the # of beside each sauce to show the temp of each. Chips are good and fresh, loved the tacos! Will have the enchiladas later!

Taco Joint is hands down one of my favorite spots for breakfast. Their breakfast tacos are amazing and I love the sausage, brisket, migas, or potato breakfast tacos. Also, I highly recommend the jalapeño ranch! It is so reasonably priced and delicious. So glad they opened a Lake Highlands location!

I loved TACO JOINT in the Richardson Heights location. The portions and fresh taste were amazing. So sad they had to move away. The folks at this location catered our breakfast at work and it was delicious. I saw them deliver and got so excited.

Nothing very exciting or authentic about this place, but I still like to go once in a blue for comfort food, friendly service, and outside dining. Unfortunately, on my 10/9/21 visit only 1 staff member was masked. This looks like a management / owner issue because the staff are great. Whatever the problem is, I won't be back until they prove they are caring about their employees and customers.

My first visit here , was very clean, friendly employees. I decided to go with today's lunch special , chicken flauta plate for $9.69. I added $2.00 tip on my to go order for a total of $12.49. I asked for jalapenos, and was told I had to pay extra? What the What?? Nope ... I refuse. For the price I just paid I could not believe no jalapenos, no salsa & chips. The flauta's were good, I recommend you ask to have them separated or they will be wet and soggy from the lettuce , etc they are covered in before you can get home. It is probably best to eat there onsite. I am certain I will try again, hopefully with Jalapeno's offered for free :)

Ok, the place looks like a chain, you go in and it looks like a chain, you automatically set the bar really low. Not this place! I went for breakfast, actually wasn't expecting much, BUT the menu looks good. Had to do a close - eyes - and - point because the breakfast menu is that good. Got enchiladas, and they were really great! Full of meat and cheese and spicy, and great cheese sauce on top. Served with diced potatoes and refried beans, those were amazingly good too! I'm having breakfast, so ask for coffee, and seriously, it was good too! Hot and in an urn, so it's not overcooked. TLDR: It's a good thing I don't live in the neighborhood, I could eat here every day.

Went early on a Friday night because we thought it might be crowded. I like to spend my money in the neighborhood and this hasn't been open long. It was only full of families with screaming non seated children running who ran around screaming like their hair was on fire. Goes without saying that alone would make me a take out ONLY customer. Maybe the food is good. It was not hot which I guess accounts for the quick service. All in all, not a place I would recommend.

I was pleased to try a new taco joint and actually like it. I had the Mexican Caesar Salad. The salad came with fried jalapeños and they were so yummy!

This is the go to spot for casual Tex-mex breakfast tacos, especially on the weekends. Glad that they have opened their newest location. Their salsa game is strong and the jalapeño ranch is a religious experience. Migas plate is a must.

I came to try this restaurant because one of my clients recommended it he stated that the breakfast was really good and I should give it a try I decided to order the regular lunch/dinner menu. I ordered two tacos for $7.56 the food was bland and overpriced for what I received. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place if you are looking for authentic tacos. However I did give two stars because the staff was friendly.

Came to pick up my order but they said they didn't take my order through Yelp. Not sure why the app would take orders for a place that claims they don't take Yelp orders. It may be a systematic error. The manager ended up pulling my order from my phone and making the order; I just probably waited an extra 20 minutes that I didn't need to. The food was good at least!

I truly love taco joint, but I am very disappointed in my latest order. I placed an online order for 18 tacos for in store pickup. Not only was I missing 4 tacos, but I also received several mislabeled tacos. My coworker who can't eat meat had to completely forgo the morning breakfast I had brought because the tacos labeled P (for potato) all had bacon. Please use caution when placing online orders for people with dietary restrictions. I did call and will be receiving a refund for the 4 missing tacos, however there is "nothing they can do" about the accidental mislabeling. UPDATE: never received the refund.

We pick up to-go often. The crispy taco shell is so delicious and we enjoy the beans. However, my order is never correct. Actually, I take that back, my order has been correct once. Luckily, we live one block over but even so, it's inconvenient. Each time, they are hardly apologetic. I have never had a comped item or gift card to encourage us to return. My husband has had enough. With a taco shop across the street and a new one coming to the 7-11, we have other options, but we just love the crispy taco so much. I hope they can modify their process to ensure all orders are complete.

I've been to the new Taco Joint restaurant in Lake Ridge Village several times since they opened. I've always come for lunch; the food is pretty good and the place seems well-run. But on my last couple visits there doesn't seem to have been any adult supervision. Last time, the counter staff -- mostly high school kids -- stood around talking at the end of the counter while we waited to place our order. Instead of waiting for us to order, the girl at the register wandered off while we checked out the menu. After getting her attention again and ordering we had to travel around to 4-5 different booths to find a clean one. They had spilled food / remains on them. The dishes had been removed but no bothered to clean up. Others had crumbs that hadn't wiped down. Throughout our 30-40 minute meal no one bother to clean any of the tables, although there were 3-4 employees consistently clustered at the counter. One guy did finally start sweeping the floor as closing time neared. This was my GF's first visit. She loves Tex Mex and wasn't impressed. I live in the neighborhood and will probably come back for lunch on my own. That said, first impressions count and it's very unlikely that I'll convince her to return again.

No line at 11:30 on a Saturday but the place was plenty busy as I waited for my to-go lunch order. Service was pleasant as they took my order and I was offered water while I waited which was nice. Wait time for my to-go order (4 tacos and a chips and queso) was around 7-9 minutes. Tables were clean too! Food was good and was consistent with the other Taco Joint Location's around town. So happy that this shopping area is finally coming back around!

Great food nice servers efficient and friendly I've gone to taco joint for years. Their locations are clean and well maintained. The staff is well trained and friendly. Good is great.

If you haven't been to Taco Joint in Lake Highlands lately you should. They have updated their website and it's super easy to order online and pick up inside. It is a great quick and easy delicious dinner option for all us tired mommas. I went today and their customer service was great! We are lucky to have such a great option for tacos in Lake Highlands!

I've always loved Taco Joint and so happy they opened one in our 'hood! I got the two taco combo with one brisket and one BBQ pork and a side of chips and queso. The brisket wasn't the most tender I've had and the queso was a little on the runny side, but still very tasty. It appears that will have a full bar, but I only saw the makings for margaritas (they've only been open one week). The interior is decorated with old album/record covers--super cool. I can't wait to return for breakfast tacos!

I typically love TJ. However, this location is severely lacking in the service department. Unfriendly, lack of signage, incorrect orders, fountain problems, etc.
