In the Arts District, the Tavern Burger is a local rite: Stilton, mushroom‑cognac cream, challah bun, and frites. Regularly highlighted by Tulsa World, it’s Tulsa’s indulgent, chef‑crafted burger benchmark.

Welp, The wife and I are doing what we love doing. Date night! We both read the reviews for The Tavern, then reserved a table, and were on our way. A night in T-Town. We Didn't wait too long for our reserved table. The menu is a style of it's own; meaning it changes from time of season or chefs choice. We started with the (irate) mad-mac-and-cheese. It was our first time having MAC with breadcrumbs on the top (I'm not going there right now), but it was absolutely cheesy with some heat (🚒 🔥), not a lot, but some heat. It was very filling and really good. For our main dinner the Misses ordered Fish and Chips. And I've seemed to missed out about how good the FnC are. The chips were perfectly cooked too. This fish filet was awesome! The misses always shares her food with me, so when I tried the FnC Holy Clams it was amazing! I didn't even think I was eating in Tulsa. I thought I was in the Bay Area or the Pacific Northwest eating at som seafood restaurant. Now, as for me, I went with the Burger, which I altered from blue cheese to MERICAN! cooked medium. It too came with 🍟with rosemary garnished on top. Fries were great, burger was good with the special mushroom sauce. The burger has gerth, so don't expect a huge burger. The circumference of the burger was roughly 12 inches and it stands just shy of 5 inches. Half of the burger is meat and the other half is the top and bottom of the perfectly crafted bun. It was cooked perfectly, the seasoning was balanced, and it was juicy. I will say this, I have never eaten a cheese burger that cost $22 before, and this will not be the last time either. We will return, because of our experience, I'm intrigued on how the steak will taste, and the Fried Chicken Dinner on Sundays after 5pm, The wife and I have to give it a try, because you will never know until you go for your own experience. The waitress was absolutely professional too, but for this establishment I wouldn't expect anything less than that.

IHATE I.

I was fortunate to be treated to a Chef’s Table experience at The Tavern for my birthday last night and it was such an amazing experience! I want to thank Chef Corey, Chef Allie, Chef Austin, Chef Natasha, and the rest of the staff for such a fun, personalized experience. The food was absolutely outstanding and somehow, the service, personality and enthusiasm of the entire staff was even greater. So much thought & attention to detail went into crafting such a fun and one-of-a-kind menu. You guys knocked it out of the park. Thanks again!

This feels like a very high-end restaurant, and some of the meals are, but there are also reasonable ones. It was about $30 per person, but it could be $50+ no problem. The food was awesome, and I found Double Shot Coffee because of this place. I would've never expected such great tasting coffee at a tavern. The service was great, and the waiter had my same name! I highly suggest going for a laid-back nice restaurant.

Really awesome spot to relax and be cozy! Loved everything about the vibe, service etc. just felt like the quality of the fries/sides should have been better. Burger was great but for the type of place it was we were expecting a little more. Not saying it was bad at all! The food was delicious. The fries tasted normal though.

We enjoyed our meal and drinks at The Tavern in downtown Tulsa. Strip steak and fries for two was cooked perfectly. We were welcomed right before closing and not rushed at all. I did tell our host that we eat fast and tip well. I’m glad we stopped for dinner at the Tavern. Great experience.

The Pork Chop was tender and well seasoned, though I thought the portion of the dish could have been bigger. The Korean BBQ sauce lacked the Korean taste (rice wine vinegar and prominent Korean chili paste). The creme brulee was good though not a personal favorite. I love ordering pork chops when I dine out; this was a good dish but I think I'll request a different starch to fill me up the next time I visit The Tavern. I sat at the bar on a Saturday evening where I was greeted immediately and had good service.

So, I’ve eaten a lotta crème brûlées in my life. When I see one I’ve never had, I do my best to eat it. So today The Tavern’s Biscoff Crème Brûlée showed up on my instagram feed, and I knew I had to go try it. Deadass this might be the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had. I mean, it’s good enough I immediately said “I’ve gotta leave a review, this is THAT good.” So yeah, come to The Tavern and eat the Biscoff Crème Brûlée with the ridiculously delicious cookie butter whipped cream topping.

I’ve always considered this place a Tulsa staple, but hadn’t been in a few years. My food was delicious. I had the deviled eggs and the tavern burger. My burger was cooked well done instead of medium, but it was so good that I didn’t mind. My partner felt that they could use a change of fryer oil, but otherwise enjoyed his meal. The atmosphere and presentation were great. It’s a little pricey, but we expected that since it’s a nice environment with quality ingredients. I took a few points off of service because I felt that the servers were giving better service to the obvious rich people in the room, like we weren’t as good as them. The manager did not treat us that way. Overall I enjoyed my experience because the food and atmosphere were so great.
