Really enjoyed our first night in the area, finding this adorable pub around the corner from our hotel. Our servers Billy and Hugo were fun, funny, made great recommendations and a birthday celebration a night to remember. The apps we got were delicious and the cocktails were perfection- especially their assortment of mini-shooters!! Thank you and only wish you were around the corner of my house in the US!

Went in yesterday with my Wife for a pizza and a pint. Three John's stands out in the area for offering something others do not. The craft beer selection is wide, the pizza is great and the interior is stunning. Being a Publican myself I understand how loved this place is by the team here.

Visited this pub for a drink, and was pleasantly surprised at how pretty and spacious it is inside! Only thing to note though, is that they only serve pizza for food, no other snacks or types of food available. That said, the pizzas looked amazing - so worth a try! I would definitely visit again!

Popped in here a few times after work for drinks and a pizza. The pizza is excellent 👌 Good range of booze and at present London prices for pints. Also awesome beer pumps (see pics)

We rented the private hire room for a Eurovision birthday party and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience! The space itself is great - separate from the rest of the bar but close enough to the bar to grab drinks. The staff was great, from booking all the way through to the actual party - super attentive and available for anything we needed. We ordered a bunch of pizzas for the party and they were a big hit. Also: dog friendly! I would definitely consider booking an event here again.

Very cool bar in Angel, loads of space and trendy decor. Have a small outdoor area out front that gets good afternoon sun. Great range of craft beers plus do the full spectrum of wines, spirits, ciders, etc.

Did you come here for the beer? Five stars. Did you come here for the pizza? Four stars. Did you come here for both? You're probably pretty happy. Good location, knowledgeable and friendly staff - all of that riffing off some funky tunes and a good decor makes it no wonder it was busy on a Tuesday night (the Beavertown tap takeover helps too. Yes, they do good beer - see above!).

We had amazing salads tonight with extra toppings. I enjoyed an Old Fashioned. Service was speedy and pleasant. We always love a typical pub environment. Definitely recommend.

The lighting is fantastic! Warm, cozy, and charming! The barkeeps were also friendly and helpful. Great spot for a chilly evening!

A very friendly pub that has space both for very lively nights as well as a quiet dinner. It has a solid selection of beers as well as delicious sourdough pizzas. They used to be a super affordable location but have recently increased the prices quite a bit, still reasonable price for London it less than what it used to be. It also has some real historical connections (Lenin and Trotsky used to drink here back in the day) that some may find as a draw if they are in the area. Overall a great pub in a great neighbourhood!

Abysmal. Absolute Garbage. Nothing is good about this place except for the walk out of the restaurant with a stomach ache and the feeling of remorse. The best part of my meal was when I went in the kitchen and made eye contact with each of the three Johns. I spit in each of their hands and made them taste it so they could relive a fraction of my disgust. Absolutely dreadful. The three Johns might as well be a porta john with the shit food. Never get the garlic bread. Unless you want to rethink living. I want to demand my money back and have this place shut down. The thought of being here makes my stomach sick. The vibe was terrible. It's like a baby shit on the dough, flushed through a toilet, and air dried in the sun. Just go to dominoes.

Tasty pizzas for a reasonable price! Found on yelp bc I needed a break from pizza union and wanted a more Neapolitan style dough. This was a bit thinner than that but good. I loved the prosciutto and bolognese. Chorizo was just ok. Got the Nutella pizza for dessert by they forgot our banana :( It wasn't bad bc Nutella + bread can never go wrong but it wasn't memorable either. Other than that the pub is actually very nice with some really nice decoration details. That said, it could use some plants or breaking up of the space to make it feel cosier!

I used to love the place, as it's one of few that serve alcoholic ginger beer. Sadly, they wiped out all alcohol ginger beers, leaving only one that's not alcoholic. They've got plenty of beers otherwise and their pizzas are good. I'm just really disappointed they reduced the choice of ginger beers and ciders.

I went to this bar for the food originally but having been back a second time, I have stayed all night for the bartenders, each of them are different people, but you can tell that they love working with each other, and that makes coming to this bar like coming to a party with every person invited to meet a person who you will love implicitly.. I feel like I am home, and when your an ocean away that's what you want and frankly need

All the way from America only to find some of the best pizza I have had. And right next to our hotel. Very extensive beer/ale/brewed stuff list. Only downside: few munchies. We'll live.

A really spacious, open and airy bar with a buzzing atmosphere. Came here for a few drinks after work. Prices weren't too expensive and if you are an ale fan then there's plenty to choose from. Next time I'm definitely going to have some food. The pizzas looked amazing and I was definitely intrigued by the Nutella pizza. Worth another visit.

I will preface this statement with an admission that this place is a bar, and thus is not known or expected to have great or good or average service. Some people might even expect poor service at a bar. I, sadly, do not. To say the service at this restaurant/bar was bad would be a lie, because the service was nonexistent. The waitress greeted us when we came into the bar and we then sat ourselves. From then until we left, the waitress proceeded to ignore us. You might have thought I had cut her off in traffic or insulted her mother by the way the waitress ignored my wife and me. We sat for fifteen minutes as waitresses catered to other tables while ignoring ours. We decided after we had read the entire menu without the waitress ever coming to say anything to us, that the waitresses must have assumed we were figments of their imaginations. We left without a word.

Great casual pizza pub. Friendly, fast service from Yorkshire's version of Drew Barrymore. Perfect thin crust pizzas--highly recommend the white pizza with broccoli rabe. As a former modern rock DJ, I appreciated both the music (Kate Bush, Talking Heads, Vampire Weekend & Pet Shop Boys) along with the surreal portraiture. The wife also recommends the Dorothy Parker cocktail--but then again, put gin in anything & she's happy. ;-)

This is a fantastic pub in the heart of Angel- 3 mins walk from Angel tube serving awesome craft beer and amazing pizza made by a specially trained pizza chef. Staff are great and it's really buzzing on a Thursday through Sunday. Great place to kick back with mates.

Great pub! Dangerous find- I feel like I am going to be here a lot. Really good beer list that is ever changing. Wine list is pretty good- a little on the ex-y side but all of the reds are pretty bright/fresh, approachable and easy to drink. The food is mainly pizzas and they are thin based, flavoursome and pretty god damn delicious. One of the best pub pizzas I have had in a while! They have some classic flavours mixed with a little 'off the beaten track' ingredients. The white mushroom pizza has a mix of mushrooms on it and I'm pretty sure there was some small wood mushrooms on there. So much flavour! I really don't think you could go wrong with any of the choices. A part from the fact the food and drink are good, you also have a really cosy, beautiful space . Its a pub but refurbished keeping the classic old school feeling but they added some contemporary touches. The lighting is perfect and it's a big open space that feels full. They also have a great function space that I haven't used yet but I did look in. Now trying to think of an event to have in there... I will be back. A lot.

Excellent selection of beers, I found boulevard tank 7 (one of my hometown favorites being from Kansas City) on tap. The pizzas were delicious, very thin and fresh. I also had the courgette and artichoke salad which was wonderful. Highly recommend for a low key dinner or just drinks with friends!

As soon as you walk in, the dimmed lights give you the vibe that this place is cool without being pretentious. This could be an anything venue - friends catch up, date night, intimate drinks, it caters to all! I didn't have anything to eat but my friends said the pizzas were delicious and the drinks menu had something for everyone!

Excellent pizza and unique beers on tap, highly recommend this place, we came back twice in three days. It's a local hang out which is a nice change, cannot recommend this highly enough.

Really like the refurb!! Not only is it a gorgeous and atmospheric pub (especially on a quiet sunday night), but the beer menu is amazing and the pizza is delicious. Was worried it was going to be pretentious, but the staff are lovely and attentive. I had to google most of the ingredients on the pizzas, and yes they aren't huge, but the quality is outstanding. The only thing I would change is the pizza plates. I hate metal plates. Don't like the feeling of metal cutlery on a metal plate. That's just me though. Music is my taste too. Haven't been on a Friday or Saturday which I hear is crazy busy, but I've never had a problem getting a table any other night.
