"The traditional espresso martini is just the jumping off point for coffee-based cocktails at this notable bar. Enjoy a take on the espresso martini you know, made with Elyx vodka, Licor 43, vanilla reduction, espresso, and coffee beans, but don’t skip out on the pumpkin spiced espresso martini and the Death Wish Negroni." - Courtney E. Google
The energy in here was intense during my visit on a Saturday night. Despite both floor levels being packed, it was fairly easy to get drinks at the bar. The bartenders obviously took pride in making their amazing cocktails some of which seemed rather intricate. Tips were automatically added to checks, but with service already being great, I wasn’t bothered by that.

Google
This was such a nice surprise. Its lively and cozy at the same time. Different varieties of seating areas to suit the mood. It sure has a classy vibe to it. Would love to visit again.

Google
The drinks & atmosphere were really great and we had an AMAZING waitress. We had a problem at our table and the rudest lady came to the table with a loud, demanding and unprofessional approach. She was more focused on trying to be right than understanding that a miscommunication happened and simply saying “I’m sorry, let’s see what we can do to fix this”… another manager came over and had real, genuine customer service. We were able to find a friendly, quick & simple resolution with him. I can tell by some of the petty responses under some of these reviews that management needs to drop the dead weight before a good business goes down over one persons unprofessional approach. I would definitely recommend this place to others, just hope you don’t encounter the Petty Alchemist while you’re there.

Google
We had a great time at Tipsy Alchemist! The vibe was on point for Aa Friday night and the downstairs bartenders were on point. 🔥 Upstairs was definitely a different vibe, the drinks from the menu weren't that good, and the bartender was kind of reserved more. The security was nice as well, all in all would definitely go again.

Google
Explored this venue with my friends, and the atmosphere was incredibly cool. The contrast between the unique decor and vibes downstairs and upstairs was striking. The drinks were decent, but despite that, we had good time.

Google
This is a cool place to hang out and grab drinks. Good music and a smooth, classy vibe for those looking to step it up a bit and mingle with suave men and women having a good time. The drinks are a bit pricey, but the atmosphere will make up for it. Nevertheless, I encourage you to visit.

Google
The cocktails were wonderful. The bartender made me a recommendation based on the liquor I prefer and it was phenomenal. The atmosphere was fun and lively. The DJ was great. This was my first time visiting and I will definitely be back!

Google
A very nice place to enjoy drinks in a festive artistic atmosphere. Our bartender, Nicole, was excellent in handling our drinks and making them GREAT! There is valet parking available as there is limited parking. There are two floors of bars to enjoy with a DJ playing music to entertain you. I suggest you go online and reserve a seating as there are very limited seating. The drinks average 15-20 per drink but are good. Definitely visit this area during the weekend. Great for groups or couples mostly. ENJOY!

Yelp
My recommendation if you're going on the weekend, try to go a bit early if you want to get a seat.. we were there right at 9:00 and we were able to sit on the couches and really relax and have our cocktails and listen to cool tunes.. They had some great cocktail. Spy ended up having a Tito's lemon drop maybe two. The service is great. The music at 9 o'clock wasn't very loud, but we did hear that later on it gets super crowded and super loud. We loved it.

Tiffany J.

Yelp
The place is cute. The music is decent. The service is good. But $17-20 drinks and not even a slight buzz...I won't be back. They sell you on the unique blends, but there is barely any alcohol in my opinion. Go for the experience and the ambiance, not to get buzzed.

Yelp
Immerse yourself in a world of enchanting concoctions at The Tipsy Alchemists, where exceptional cocktails, captivating music, and a stellar staff converge to create an unparalleled bar experience. This hidden gem in Dallas has swiftly become my favorite haunt, thanks to its expertly crafted libations that never fail to impress. The ambiance is always buzzing with energy, complemented by a carefully curated playlist that sets the perfect mood for an unforgettable night out. The staff exudes professionalism and friendliness, ensuring that every visit is a seamless and enjoyable one. Whether you're a seasoned cocktail aficionado or a casual drink enthusiast, The Tipsy Alchemists is a must-visit destination that promises an evening of pure magic and delight.

Yelp
0/10 would not recommend it. I came with a Bachelorette party and we spent A LOT of money here, unfortunately. It's cute inside and the drinks are tasty, HOWEVER, some of their staff are racist, biased, and do not wait quickly or respectfully on people (women) of color, especially black ones. I later was told this has been a problem. You can take your money elsewhere to find a craft cocktail with better service and treatment.

Yelp
Let's start with the drinks. Rosita: 4/5. I loved the tangy flavor and refreshing quality of this drink as well as the aesthetic. Had to take down a point because, though I loved the rose on top, it seemed like a waste. I finished my drink and it was intact. Should it melt? Should it be edible? I'm not sure but I loved the look and taste, so I can't fault it too much. Mad Hatter: 2/5 ok I'm a big fan of getting fruit with my drinks. Makes me feel like I'm being healthy . Aside from that and the novelty of having my drink being mixed by going through a tube that's in the ceiling of the bar, the drink was refreshing but forgettable. Violet, You're Turning Violet: 5/5 this was my favorite of all of them. It was beautifully presented, it was mildy sweet and had a buttery mouth feel. I would have this all night. It was that good. Ambiance. I got there early, before 9 on a Saturday night and it wasn't quite empty but not yet packed. It quickly filled up and by 10 it was comfortably full. Not packed per se, but I ALMOST felt bad for having snagged one of the smaller tables for myself. As a lone traveler I thought I'd grab a seat at the bar, but alas they take away the stools on Saturdays because they expect it to get so packed that the stools are more a hindrance than an asset. Fair enough. Having said that, I was quickly offered a table when I realized the error of my ways, the hostess was gracious and found me a table where I could watch the entire place, it was great. The server, Ashley, was fabulous making sure I had what I needed including an endless supply of seltzer water, much appreciated. I would go back with friends and/or husband if I'm in Dallas again.

Yelp
Service was quick and attentive. I went on a Friday night with a group of friends and felt we were very well taken care of! We didn't have to make reservations but there was an open table. Music was really good. No one was dancing on the dancefloor but it was still a really nice lounge bar place to have a good time with friends. All the drinks were pretty presentable. I plan to come back to try more drinks Mad hatter drink goes thru the tubed on top so thst was a cool little thing to catch/see. However it didn't really taste that great. Screaming dragon was really good! Only had 2 and I had a good little buzz. Did not taste like alcohol whatsoever. I would always order this will I ever come again. I wouldn't order 7 deadly sins again. Just had no flavor just tasted like running alcohol to be honest.

Kat P.

Yelp
Such a great place, this would be my go to spot if just a little closer Service was great and drinks were incredible!! I loved the ambiance, such a cool atmosphere

Adriana C.

Yelp
Wow wow wow. This place was sooooooo fun! We made reservations for a table and you just have to spend a certain amount which isn't hard to do for a reserved table. The ambience was soooooo nice. I loved the aesthetic and vibes here. They also have an upstairs with more tables, but we were downstairs. The dj was playing great music. The drinks were all delicious we tried so many different ones. The espresso martini was delicious of course. They even had a guy doing magic tricks which was different and cool. I definitely recommend.

Erica W.

Yelp
Cool looking place with cool drinks. Place is pretty small, intimate and dark. Not lots of seating - just get in where you fit in and enjoy the ambiance.

Amber M.

Yelp
Some girls friends and I went this past weekend for an after dinner nightcap. We sat on the patio and loved the ambience. Kayla was very attentive and suggested some great choices in cocktails. We had the Lilly (I believe it was called) and the Mexican Mango Martini. 10/10 would recommend!

Rachel G.

Yelp
Went in on a Wednesday evening and it was a pretty lively, mixed crowd. There was a live band playing that was very interactive with the crowd. There's definitely something for everybody at this craft cocktail place. I tried several drinks that sounded good and they didn't disappoint (I had the Raspcello martini and Ménage a trois)! Will be back!

Alex B.

Yelp
Great service, great drinks. If you show up before 9-10pm you're likely to get a spot to be at until other reservations show- if you're looking for a late night out be sure to have reservations. Dress code posted at front door when you walk in. Didn't see prices posted but both our drinks were $15 and they add 20% gratuity automatically on the receipt. There was an upstairs area we didn't get to see but definitely had my eye on, have to learn how to get a spot up there

Tiffani C.

Yelp
We made a reservation thru txt for a party of 4 @10 on a Friday night. We were told to hold a table theres a guaranteed minimum of $200 in which we agreed. Website says theres a strict dress code but there wasn't at all. This place is a vibe! Really cute and nice decor. The couch and chair at our table was really comfy. Has an upstairs and downstairs bar and also a patio area outside. The drinks were really good. Service was ok took a while for our drinks to get back to us. The dj was bomb! Really dim and a great place to sit, relax, and just enjoy the company of friends or with a date. Will definitely return!

Shruti J.

Yelp
Walked in for drinks on Saturday night and got the patio seating. Hostess was sweet and so was our server, however, they are severely understaffed (or that's what it felt like). Drinks take a while to come to your table and you have to wait for someone to actually reach out to order. Complimentary pop corn was definitely a plus. Mind you - no prices are mentioned on their menu and you really just have to ask the server or (in My case) wait for the cheque to arrive. Drinks sure are spendy here! Drinks were tasty - I got the infamous mad hatter which was very refreshing!

Bella P.

Yelp
I will not be coming back thanks to Christian. Christina. (Guy with the long hair) i arrived to this beautiful bar with 20 mins till 2am and as I'm waiting for a drink i see him "available" (not making any drinks) but talking to a customer. After calling out for service and trying to wave him down he finally notices me, takes my order and as he makes my drink he continues to focus on the conversation with the female customer and takes a very long time to make my drink because he stops mixing in order to respond her. By the time the lights come on & he's barely almost finished. So much for stepping in to enjoy this new bar for my last 20 mins. He ask me why did i look so angry and i told him how I'd like to enjoy my drink befor the bar closed. As he responds to me he stops making the drink to talk back. He cannot multitask for the life of him. Really killed the vibe watching him flirt with some girl as I'm sitting here waiting with my friend for 2 of the same drink. Bar is beautiful. His service alone. 1/10 i will not be returning. Forgot to mention he had the nerve to ask me "open or closed" The lights are already on sir.

Alyscia S.

Yelp
Vibes were great, drinks weren't the best. I would go back but the drinks recommended to my friends weren't amazing. I ordered my typical drink so I wasn't disappointed but had to finish my sister's drink for her. Would definitely give this place a second chance. The music was great and the popcorn was so yum!

Payal K.

Yelp
The bar is cool , they def tried to make it different and the drinks are pretty good ($$$$). The vibe is very SMU meets uptown meets Alice in wonderland

Kane T.

Yelp
PSA!!! If you go Ivan, Allyson, Isiah NEED TO BE YOUR BARTENDERS‼ It's a must they know the best drinks & flavors let the photos speak for its self check it out

Roma B.

Yelp
Came by on a Saturday night, thought it would be chill and laid back, but it was packed and had club vibes! Crowd was mid 30s. The bar has an attached parking garage, so parking is not an issue. We sat outside, there's warmers in the winter which made it better. Ordered the grasshopper drink, it was amazing, mint was subtle! The bartender took a while to make the drinks, so he gave us 2 complimentary shots. Liked sitting outside as it was quieter and could have a conversation.

Rue N.

Yelp
Went to the Tipsy Alchemist on a Saturday night with some girlfriends for a drink. We were able to find street parking within a block which was great. Once we got inside we headed upstairs as the main floor and bar were already full. Upstairs was much quieter and we were able to put in drink orders. Our entire party ordered various drinks from the cocktail menu, and they were pricy--averaging to $20/drink before tip. (I ordered a ginger ale also and that was over $5!) For cocktails, I had a "Night Night, Sleep Tight" and "Living the Pina Loca", two very different drinks and I didn't like either of them. The two heaviest drinkers in our group had one drink apiece that neither finished. None of the drinks actually tasted good, which was very disappointing. What was good was the music, DJ was on the first floor and he had live dance music going. Unfortunately, the DJ isn't enough for me to come back here.

Kayla S.

Yelp
Great menu of curated craft cocktails, bottle service, DJ's, music, and vibes! Two floors both with bars!

Jazmine G.

Yelp
Too pretentious! Not my cup of tea! This place was recommended by the front desk at the Westin! We ubered here much to my dismay. Upon entering you are immediately approached with the TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL hostess asking "DO YOU HAVE A RESERVATION"? For the stool at the bar? Yes, every seat is reserved. Well, then you get the boot to the outside patio with terrible different music and bad speakers. Do the walk of shame through the club to the outdoor patio. Go ahead and have a seat because no one will wait on you or ask if you would like a drink. No staff works the patio. So, after you've been shunned, you need to re-enter and try to get a drink at the bar. That's my tip if you attempt this place without a reservation for your bar stool. I was so disappointed. We decided to get back in an Uber and go to a friendly bar! GO TO THE OLD PARLIAMENT and have an old fashion or somewhere welcoming! That's my advice.

Karen J.

Yelp
The drinks are good, but not entirely the best. The bartenders are fun to watch as they perform their alchemy. The upstairs lounge made for a really nice spot to get lost in conversation with my SO! Would definitely return if in Dallas.

Nadeem Z.

Yelp
An amazingly friendly service with a comprehensive collection of cocktails on a fun menu. Very conveniently located minutes from some of the best hotels in town.

Eileen L.

Yelp
Love the overall vibe of this place! The drinks are tasty and they also give complimentary popcorn as well! My friend and I did not have a problem finding a table on a weeknight too.

Dee H.

Yelp
The service I've received has easily made Tipsy one of my new favorite hangout spots. The gentlemen upstairs named Jay makes the experience more memorable each time. Loving that it's also got great craft cocktails, at times i don't know what I'd like to drink and I'll just tell him what I'm interested in trying and he makes a great drink everytime. I recommend getting there early for the tasty popcorn. They have tables with a wide variety of spirits and champagne that's catered to my larger groups. Wonderful spot for a ladies night or just even a good night of fun.

Emily O.

Yelp
I was expecting a cocktail lounge and it was definitely more of a club environment, the music is loud and it's overcrowded, it was difficult to get a drink and even after getting a drink it was hard to find a spot to stand comfortably, much less sit. Aside from that, I liked the aesthetic, the bathrooms were cleaner than I expected, and the doorman was nice.

Valerie V.

Yelp
Pretty chill spot for tiki bar drinks. I did expect it to be a little more crowded in here but honestly for me in my 30s that's totally fine. The bartenders were friendly and suggested cocktails to our liking.

David L.

Yelp
It feels quite dumb to go in here be like oh it looks nice but realize that any seated area is a paid reservation. Very confusing. It is not a club, there is no club presence - at most it is a lounge with an odd layout. So to have to get a "section" makes it all the more funny. Ok besides that one. One and done location for me.

justin m.

Yelp
This place has a really nice vibe. The music was on point all night and the drinks were amazing! If you want a damn good drink, ask for Alyson! She really made my time in Dallas at Tipsy Alchemist wonderful! Look forward to coming back very soon! Ps- have my espresso martini waiting Alyson!

Boyd M.

Yelp
If you're looking for really good craft cocktails with a cool vibe, this is the place. The servers are friendly and responsive and do a great job. The live music is good and entertaining.

Eva M.

Yelp
Walking into this place the host make sure they wear a mask but doesn't check her temperature or as the Covid questions. People here are not doing social distancing and they're taking in their mask off right away, before getting their drinks. The drinks are phenomenal and they're very crafty. The quality of the taste is very beautiful and smell is is there. if it's your first time coming to Dallas then definitely go here.

Taneesha H.

Yelp
You all are getting 5 stars because of Syndey the bartender. She was sooo amazing, I've never in all of my years come across such a professional. When I first walked up to the bar it was packed and I almost left if it wasn't for her smile and her acknowledging me. I did not know what to get so I went off her recommendation which was a good choice. After she made my drink I hung out around the bar and I noticed that even though the bar was beyond packed she did an amazing job with moving fast, greeting everyone, apologizing for the wait, and all with a smile. Aside from Sydney I dis enjoy myself. There was a DJ who played and he was pretty good and inclusive and played all sorts of music not just techno all night which I appreciated. I will definitely be back.

Art M.

Yelp
Great spot imo! Definitely always have fun here. Music is great and diverse. The drinks are even better! Downstairs has more of a dainty/party vibe while upstairs is more chill. Had my gf birthday here a few weeks ago. Definitely recommend for DFW visitors and locals

Jenny R.

Yelp
Christian, Isiah, and cubby 100% the best bartender's and grate place to have a good time!!! Love it here!

Christopher V.

Yelp
I had a good time at The Tipsy Alchemist. What's better than beautiful people, live music, and booze? The drinks are pricey especially for Dallas, but we'll balanced. The cover band performing during my most recent visit played a variety of R&B and Pop songs. Great for a date night spot or a hanging out with friends.

Kash M.

Yelp
We were having a graduation party, went with some friends and family Highly recommended! Great place

James D.

Yelp
Great lounge ! Great atmosphere and bartenders pay close attention to detail to make sure drinks are made well.

Kevin R.

Yelp
I have to give a shout out to my boy Jay top tier bartender when it comes to craft cocktails. One of the best in the industry!!!

Tim S.

Yelp
Tipsy and the crew really make for a great night out on the town. Christian, Ivan and Isaiah can make some fantastic drinks. They have a great dj during the week also. Great place to stop late night.

Claudia M.

Yelp
Great place! Very attentive to our requests and very hospitable! The bartenders and hostess were awesome, Isaiah, V, and Aaron were very kind and made sure we had a great time! The popcorn was also a great touch. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

R G.

Yelp
I just bought a condo in the neighborhood. We frequent Ocean, Moxies, Nobu, etc. (Sitting at Nobu now after being rejected entry to Tipsy Alchemist). I was not allowed into this establishment this evening because I had on grey joggers, along with a nice outfit. I'm a white male. My partner is a black male. Our friend is a white female. We will not only not support this establishment moving forward, but I will do my very best to steer people in another direction, to a more positive, welcoming environment. If you are reading this: do not support a business that degrades a person based on their outfit, with the assumption they are a wrong fit for their establishment. Athleisure is very much part of American fashion and style, day and night. It's unfortunate that a neighborhood small business made us feel so uncomfortable.

Ashley B.

Yelp
Looking for the perfect girls night out?? Look no further! My girls & I had THE best time this past weekend. The floor manager, Vianet (hope I spelled that correctly) was extremely attentive. She made sure we were taken care of 100% of the time. Definitely will be going back soon!

Justin S.

Yelp
The atmosphere is ok, but honestly we won't go back. The drinks are way too overpriced and not worth it. The service was decent though. Just about the only thing that saved the experience from a single star.

Vik C.

Yelp
I don't think I've had worse cocktails than this place - ever! They have a lot of fancy sounding and looking cocktails but whether they are bourbon, tequila or rum based - they all suffer due to the exact same reason. Bottom shelf, cheap liquor. Take their Smoking Barrel Old Fashioned for example which our group ordered - the bartender can do all the fancy stuff with lighting the liquor on fire etc. but if they are going to use a cheap whiskey (Old Overholt Rye - $16 for a bottle at TotalWine), it is never going to come out right (and it is actually sacrilege to use Rye instead of Bourbon for your signature Old Fashioned). The other cocktail we tried was Living The Pina Loca - tequila based. And the tequila they use is a $28/bottle Piña Loca Tequila. You can go down the list similarly for other standard cocktails and it is all cheap booze - and they list those names on the menu as if they are good, top shelf liquors. These cocktails will be bad enough for a regular bar - but the fact that they call themselves "Alchemist" and dole out this crap is absolutely insulting. There are plenty of great cocktail places in Dallas - don't waste your money here. PS: After trying their Smoking Barrel Old Fashioned, we asked the bartender to make us one with a decent bourbon that we noticed on their shelf and that turned out to be pretty ok, thus confirming that it is not the bartender but the actual liquor which is the root cause of the awful stuff.

Crystal M.

Yelp
SO FUN. Drinks were spendy but delish. The boys had old fashions and the girls just had your typical ranch water. They are heavy on the lime which was fine with me. The nightclub feel with a comfy lounge chairs was definitely a my vibe. Very classy! The music was on point, and we could've easily spent a few hours hanging out here. Definitely recommend!

Robyn K.

Yelp
Great Atmosphere Christian makes a really good espresso martini

Gordon W.

Yelp
If you want an unforgettable cocktail experience this is the best spot in Dallas. Alyson along with the rest of the staff are wizards behind the bar.

BiBi M.

Yelp
Super cute place with a great vibe. We came on a Friday night we didn't have reservations so we just went to the bar. The host was kind and accommodating and told us to let her know if we decided to make any. The bar was standing only, I believe you have to have reservations to have a seat even on a couch but that's reasonable. I tried The Eddison. It was very good and tasted like a mojito the presentation was elegant. I like how it was served where the ice was in a separate dish so it didn't water your drink down. I could tell a lot of work went into their drinks so it makes the price understandable.

Bryandt D.

Yelp
A solid bar that has elements of a speakeasy but is more of a lounge. Downstairs is where you'll have the main bar and tables for you to sit and dine. The lighting gives this place your privacy if you're on a date and don't want to be bothered too much. Upstairs was a lot of fun the night we went. There is another bar and sections if you want to have a private seating area. The music was great and we loved the bartenders. The cocktails were very well made. Highly suggest you give this place a visit.
