The Best Restaurants in Fulham and Putney - Eater London

"This Fulham gastropub has a great deal to offer, with a particularly strong offering of fish (including black cod and curried fish pie) and meat — all of which is prepared and butchered at the Tommy Tucker itself. Good beers, too." - Alexander Larman

Popped in on the off- chance for Mother’s Day Sunday lunch and had what can only be described as the most exceptional Sunday roast - ever! The quality of the food was first rate (the best roast I’ve ever had in a restaurant) and the service was first class - personal yet professional. Very grateful to find somewhere I feel I could recommend to friends with confidence. Chilled Sunday vibes adding to the overall experience. 🙏

I like to leave reviews on places if they are really good or really bad. Today’s experience, unfortunately was really bad! I came in to my local pub to get a chicken roast (as I have heard good things about this place and it is within walking distance from where I live). I was made a passion fruit martini that didn’t that tasted very weak given it cost me £11. I also didn’t get my prosecco as it stated on the menu until I asked for it. The lady that was serving me, was then very rude saying that they made a mistake on the menu and Prosecco would not normally be provided (that’s not my problem- I think you need to sort out your menu). Given the cocktail was not great, I told her I would like wine instead, and she mentioned that I couldn’t change the drink and would need to pay again. Later she then said that I could have the wine. She refused to give me the £1.50 that I paid extra for the cocktail. She brought the wine over and then she came back for the weak cocktail and the Prosecco that she left on my table. She didn’t say anything when taking it either. In addition to this, she never asked how the food was, given I paid over £15 for it. Just to let you know, the food was flavourless and not as good as it was described. I wouldn’t actually recommend this place to anyone either, I only came here because it is literally on my doorstep. I’m very disappointed in the service more than anything, and unlikely that I will be coming back. I would love to know where good quality customer service has disappeared to? Please do see the menu attached which states Passion Fruit Martini ( that mentions about the prosecco, which the lady didn’t give me initially). I felt like it was a waste of £30 to be honest. Just a slight edit: When I left the manager did say thank you, which shows he is respectful. However I went past the waitress and she completely ignored me- I think she needs to be retrained on her manners and customer service.

Great & friendly service. I was told how great the steak tastes, so I ordered it along with the sides. I was disappointed because the steak had a lot of fat. Apart from this, the meal was a great portion and filling. The meal came out quickly.

We had heard great reviews about the food at this place, so we decided to visit. We tried the Trio Roast, which allowed us to choose any three meats of our preference. They also offered the option of lamb shoulder roast. I can confirm that it was the best roast I have ever tried. The environment was also very nice, and the staff were polite and friendly, making our experience wonderful. We will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Let's start by saying "ignore all the previous reviews" as the place has just reopened after a major renovation of the space and menu. The place has a bright airy feel and has an outdoor seating area, stand up space around the bar and plenty of room for the local pet owners to bring their dogs (yes it is dog friendly). We received excellent service and enjoyed dinner; sausage rolls, burgers and dessert. The menus are quite limited but I assume this maybe until the kitchen gets established and it can be expanded. A decent selection of beers on tap! I think The Tommy Tucker has the potential to become a great place to hang out for locals and when my travels bring me back to London I will, for sure, return. Good luck on the new venture.

Yelp
You walk in and immediately you are charmed by the decor and the atmosphere created here. You can't help but feel comfortable. The food was unique and came out fresh delicious. The tea set up was perfect for me. I had the proper amount of food. My friend and I were both very happy with our find and want to come again.

Yelp
I have been with my family and wife and got miss feeling about this place. Super loud space, at least when we were there. and somewhat pricey food for not so special meals, honestly I simply did not really understood what was the catch for a not so special place. It sure looks nice and all but nothing special. It is a pub with some new trendy decor, and.. I am I afraid that's it. I will probably make another visit to make sure but do not know when as nothing pushes me right now to go back. i havent been surprised enough to have it on my radar for now.

Yelp
The Tommy Tucker opened a year ago and is already my favourite bar and eatery in Fulham! I don't drink beer but judging by what the locals say it is very well kept and in there is a good variety. The staff are young and friendly, and the bar is a great place to people watch! The food is very good and the Sunday roasts are to die for!

Yelp
Might be okay but will never know. They weren't too busy when we went in. Though we were seated promptly, no one ever came back. We sat for 20ish minutes, tried to get the attention of a server, but eventually gave up and left. Won't visit again. Had a nice evening at another pub. Lots of good options so no reason to settle for one like this.

Yelp
Tommy Tucker was a bummer. I read about this place in the Michelin pub guide so I had high expectations. It pretty much disappointed on every level. There are so many better pubs, I'm really shocked that it was included. Food was average at best and the service was terrible. We even had to send the mulled wine back as it was the worst I have ever had. Live and learn

Yelp
Really solid food. Excellent menu offering local and seasonal produce. Lots of meat to choose from. I've enjoyed a few things here, but the menu frequently changes, so I'd suggest opting for what you fancy. Well priced, reasonable service and good ambience. I'd go back if in the area. I wish they would offer a pie option more often.

Yelp
Great service, beer and food. Good location in Fulham

Yelp
Food was amazing, however the service was awful! The waitresses all acted as if us asking for menus, drinks or food...we were in there way. It's a shame as I have been a few years back and it was incredible! I think they just need new servers though as it totally ruined the experience... :(

Yelp
Very nice neighbour restaurant. Big TV screen with sports program on show. Simple menu, quality food at reasonable price. Vibrant music, airy space and rustic decor generate an easy going atmosphere. Customers seems to be people around the neighbourhood. The kind of place one feels like dropping in without hassle.
