11 Spots to Find Stellar Cocktails in Palm Springs

"Blocks away from the Bootlegger is the kitschy tiki bar Tonga Hut. A sister bar to North Hollywood’s original spot where the appropriation tiki decor is next level, Tonga Hut is ideal for ordering daiquiris, beer, or a Don the Beachcomber zombie with three rums, lime, anise, and spice. Be on the lookout for the secret room hidden behind a phone book." - Mona Holmes

'The Most Insane Ad for a Restaurant Server I've Ever Seen' | Bon Appétit

"To be considered for the open server position at the Tonga Hut, a restaurant and tiki bar in Palm Springs, California, not only do you need to be able to navigate a fast-paced restaurant environment, work late shifts, and understand how to operate a point-of-sale system—you’re ideally also 'closer to sane than not.'" - ByAli Francis

The atmosphere of The Tonga Hut was terrific. We love the tiki culture and the vibe. The food was delicious and unique. Our host was awesome, and the owner was super friendly to our daughters. This made Mother's day a memorable one for my wife.

We stopped in for a couple of drinks 60 minutes before a dinner reservation one block away. In that 60 min, we had time for one cocktail. It took more than 20 minutes for a server to even acknowledge us and come over to our table. It then took another 10 minutes for our cocktails to arrive. That was 30 minutes before we even had a drink in our hand. I'm not one to complain and usually never do (see reviews), but this was a ridiculously long time to wait for a cocktail when there were at least 5 different servers working. In the end, the cocktails were very tasty, and had it been a reasonable amount of time for them to show up, this would be a much higher rating. A simple "Hey there, we'll be right with you." by anyone, goes a long way, even if we're not seated in your section.

One of my favorite bars in the city! They always have a great selection of seasonal cocktails and rotating craft beers. The bartenders are welcoming and remember regulars’ preferences. The outdoor patio is a nice bonus during warm weather. A perfect place to unwind after work.

The drinks and personality seemed to be the highlight of the place. Could the Pupu Platter food have been hotter? Yes. Was it fun to have a mini grill to heat things on? Yes! There is one m/f bathroom. It got quite loud in the booth area.

Absolutely amazing! Me and my husband are locals at the Tonga Hut in LA so we were excited to check this location out for my birthday weekend. I can’t emphasize what a great experience we had—from the food (which LA doesn’t have), to the drinks, and the fantastic service—I’d give it a 10/10. The LA location definitely has a lot to learn from their Palm Springs sister location! Daniel was our server and he was super fun and awesome all around. Our food and drinks always came out super quick, which we were very impressed by. We will definitely be coming back!

Google
Tonga hut is a real deal tiki bar, by far my favorite we visited on our Palm Springs trip. The food is so good and authentic, the atmosphere is fun and casual, a great place to bring friends, and the drinks are phenomenal. But the staff probably made the experience for me, Murph is great and runs a solid ship, but Nikole was the best, i trusted her with my drinks and I would trust her with my life. We loved this place so much we came back twice in one day and here I am still singing their praises days later. Will absolutely be back again, try the Kraken the Dole Whip if you’re craving something sweet!

Google
You must scan a QR code to view the menu. The place is pretty cool, props on the atmosphere. The food is good, although the portions are a little small. Pictured is the PuPu platter and Kahlua pork sliders. The cocktails are strong and the food is grilled to perfection. The atmosphere is great, again. Nailed the tropical island vibes.

Google
The third of the tiki bars and one of the older ones. Sat at the bar on a Tuesday and had the Mai Tai/Taco combo. Tacos were a bit one dimensional but 3 for $2, they were a steal. Of the 3. I feel TH puts the most fruit juice in their drinks, of which I had 3. Mai Tai, Tabu Tabu Grog. And the Rum Barrel, which was huge, see photos. Decor was pretty typical and they do have mugs for sale. I'd be happy if this was my usual hangout and a full kitchen is a bonus.

Yelp
Love this place! The owners are so friendly and really put in the effort during the holidays! Pain killer is the best drink on the menu ! Love love love and there's snacks and games!! Like hello ! Best place in the valley!

Yelp
We were warmly greeted by the proprietor. He gave us some options on seating. We chose to sit at the bar. Always the best place to talk to other patrons. As much as I really enjoyed the people in the experience here cocktails were good, but not amazing. I would definitely go back, but if I'm looking for a next level, Tiki lounge experience, this place gets high marked for the ambience.

Yelp
We've been seeing this place in Yelp for the last few years - while the write-up seems very interesting, we were wondering why the score kept dropping. We happened to be in Palm Springs over Christmas break, so we figured to give it a shot. The entry is archaic....truly. Perhaps to set the mood? You get to the top of their staircase, and a greeter/host asked if you want to sit at a table on in the lounge area. Ok, the smart person would have asked what the difference is. I did not meet that criteria, unfortunately, and chose the lounge. We were seated on these really funky chairs with an even funkier table. Not exactly tiki like - not even remotely Polynesian. Nor remotely comfortable. But, we figured, let's live in the moment. (which, frankly, is about how long to spend there, but I digress). After about 10 minutes, a CLEARLY not happy to be working dude stopped by to see if we wanted something to drink (in a bar, mind you). I asked about beers - he made it QUITE clear that I'm an idiot to be drinking beers in the Tonga Hut (hey, I don't drink hard liquor...pretty sure I'm not the only one). I ended up with a lager, while my wife had a mai tai. The beer was ok, my wife was ok with finishing the drink quickly and getting out of there. Needless to say, she won. On the way out, I did check out the other sections- balcony (great for balmy evenings), the bar, the lounge, and the aforementioned tables. IF I were to go back (which is unlikely, but to each his own - I just was looking for a Polynesian vibe, and got a Palm Springs tacky one instead), I'd sit at the bar - eliminates unhappy waiters.

Yelp
Let me start with, Wow! The painkiller I had here was phenomenal! We only got drinks, however the smell of the food in there was amazing, and I definitely want to go back to try some of it. We got there in time for the happy hour which had some good prices. When you go in you immediately go upstairs and wait to be sat. We sat in a lounge area that had plenty of comfortable seating and an array of games to choose from. I think this area could use some more ambient lighting though. The service was very friendly and our server was helpful when we were deciding what drinks to get. The restrooms were very clean and nice.

Yelp
What a great Tiki bar! Guess what? Food was great also! It's a real must visit. Hawaii in the desert.

Yelp
Best tiki bar! Got the Tonga hut treasure which is a shareable clamshell drink for 2. Sweet and boozy! If you love coconut this is the drink for you. The interior is beautiful. Lovely patio which on looks the street. Staff were super fun and helpful. The owner even took us around and gave us a private tour explaining the history and the "secret rooms". I would definitely come here again because the drinks and the vibe are so good.

Yelp
We wanted so much to give a good review but just can't do it. (1) the vibe is subtly tiki: red lights, a few decor items but not super tiki like (2) the drink menu: extensive and good. They aren't afraid of the pour. Had a mai tai, a zombie, and a Palm Springs express that were all good and very strong. Also had a chai tai and a nutty chi chi both of which were delicious. (3) food: we had the taco Tuesday special (3 tacos and a mai tai for $16). Was a great value and the tacos were perfectly tasty. They were crisp tacos, had a nice mango topping and cabbage, and a very good hot sauce. We went with chicken and pork. No complaints. (4) the problem...the service: like other reviews have said, it's true that the service is lacking. Our waiter wasn't downright rude he was just not very friendly AND more importantly he was slow as molasses. They weren't at all busy but every ask took so long. He barely ever came by to check and then when he did it took forever to get the drinks. We watched the bartender and him both stand and do nothing after I asked for a drink then about 15 min later they finally started making it. On service speed alone I'd give 1 star. This could be a great place based on the drinks but it's barely average based on the service. We won't be back.

Yelp
What a cool vibe, almost comparable to a prohibition speakeasy. But even better than that was my Cucumber Caliente, hand-mixed by the amazing craft cocktail artist, Aria. Fun night!

Yelp
Worst service in Palm Springs which pains me to say because our last trip here (over 5 years ago) this was one of our favorite places. Our server was non-existent most of the time and he certainly didn't want to be there. Everybody around us waited, and waited, and waited for him to grace us with his presence. First our order was lost (he blamed the bar, not sure how the bar lost a food order) then it came out wrong. All that being said we were going to get past that and have a second Mai Thai but we could not get him back to the table to take the order. Once we asked another server to find ours we just wanted to escape. Their loss. The ONLY reason for the second star is the Mai Thai's. They were indeed delicious. We had intended to go back the next day for lunch and more Mai Thai's after our spa but that is not going to happen. If you are willing to be treated like s**t but really like Mai Thai's then this your place. Otherwise I'd give it a pass...

Yelp
Stopped by for appetizers and drinks before heading to dinner down the street. Love the time warp feeling when you step in and head up the steep stairs. I didn't see an elevator, so Im not sure if it's accessible. You can sit at the bar, the patio, a little retro fireplace room, or a dark room with booths. Each has it's own personality. Lots of cool tiki touches. We had a couple of cocktails-- a zombie and a PiYi (served in a real pineapple). Both were really good. We also got some wonton chips that came with a really delicious sauce to dip them in. Not sure what the sauce was, but I loved it! We wanted to order another round, but our server didn't come back to check on us for quite a long time. By the time he came, it was too late because we had dinner reservations elsewhere. That was disappointing. We really liked Tonga Hut. Delicious cocktails! The service could be better, but we will return.

Yelp
This place is great. Fantastic drinks, great ambiance, great patio, secret rooms, have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience.

Yelp
Really nice bartender Doug says he's new but he iis #1 & Also had fun chatting with Great "bar mates " real Friendly vibe here ! The upstairs location offers a patio overlooking the "main drag" which is maybe fun during winter ... the AC was welcome during our June Happy Hour(4-?) Visit ! They open at 4, upstairs location...stairs are on side of building. Of course one has to "ASK " about Secret Rooms the staff was nice enough to give us a private tour to show us how to access- the infamous "Secret Room " ! How fun ! Fo sho do not miss this ! Classic tiki . The SPAM FRIES were the perfect salty treat to pair with our HAPPY HOUR MAI TAI(s) !

Yelp
Cute bar been here a few times unfortunately never felt a reason to leave a review. Seems to be service is going down hill. My friends and I ordered the larger party drink again and don't believe it had much alcohol this time. Oh well the award part was the waiter warning us there's a lot of shootings In their parking lot? We were just viewing off the balcony when he had to tell us that ruining the moment and making it very threatening feeling rather than a place to have fun. New guy never seen them but also I go once a month so unsure

Yelp
Tonga Hut was quite poppin' on our first night in Palm Springs. I was craving a burger after our flight and this was the closest spot which was also walking distance from our hotel. We were seated fairly quickly and were then forgotten about. Once our server did show up, we quickly placed our orders. I ordered the Pork Sliders and my co-worker ordered the regular sliders. We shared one of each with fries. The regular hamburger sliders were delicious. The shredded pork sliders were not at all flavorful. Our drinks were refreshing. I ordered a cocktail with Gin. But nothing to rave about. The tables were sticky, the furniture was dated, and the dim lighting was not at all romantic. The food was decent. I should have stuck to regular sliders.

Yelp
Immediate paradise is activated after walking up a set of stairs. I'm not sure if there's an accessible entrance. Colorful lights and art transports you to a tropical climate. There are various options of seating depending on if you want a dinner table, casual seat, or a street view for fresh air. We grabbed a couple of appetizers and a drink. We were entertained by the decor and kindness of staff. We were giving recommendations and we were set up for success. Next time, I want to try coconut cocktail that gets lit on fire!!!! Appetizers were nothing special but I appreciated the nosh. Our drinks were indeed tasty. My favorite was the chai tai, I can't describe why but it was tasty! Definitely explore the drinks and try something new. In addition to the cute vibe, the playlist highlighted Elvis, surf tunes, and more.

Yelp
Small quaint wonderful little upstairs bar with wonderful playful drinks, tasty bites, excellent service and an overall good vibe. We always have a great time coming here.

Yelp
. :::10s across the board!::: Stumbled up here from a cannabis lounge and decided I should probably travail the bullshit stairs once before I move far, far away. Always gave Date Festival/End-of-Grease funhouse vibes. Bellied up to the bar just after 9pm and tried the pu pu platter (girl, no), PI AI, 1934 zombie, strawberry colada and enjoyed the show! Service was warm and friendly for sure! As they say, the freaks come out at night, and the floorshow in this bar lounge starts after 10 when the disco music starts. Food and drink were authentic and therefore mid. psst! locals only tip, the bar area is legit an upside-down pineapple couples vacay destination cruising hot spot when the disco beats drop!

Yelp
Tonga Hut check in summer 2024: As mentioned in last year's review, I expressed my distaste for the QR code menus, and this year, upon entering, I was told to take a picture of a QR code for the menu. STILL? I've decided to update my review each yearly visit, removing one star annually until they bring back the paper menus. Overall, my experience was good enough that I'll be back. Bring back the paper menus.

Yelp
Tiki nerd here and was excited to visit Tonga Hut in Palm Springs since I don't know when I'll be in LA to see the original. Tried to go a few times on our short Palm Springs visit, but they aren't open every day and don't open until 5. No one answers the phone and they don't reply to emails nor social media messages. Very poor communication. Showed up at 5 when they were supposed to open and stood with a few other people outside. Door was locked until maybe 10 after 5. A grumpy guy opened it and we all filed in. There are many seating options: patio, bar, tables/booths. It's a time warp for sure and fun to see. Drinks were solid. Service wasn't great. It's clear none of the employees like working here. That was a bummer. Purchased a mug to go and it was defective. Sealed box and didn't discover until after hours. Called, messaged that night and the next day and never got a reply. Great customer service for $120 mug.

Madison H.

Yelp
If I could give a 0/5 I would. I was talking on the phone with my grandfather when the waiter came up and said you need to keep it down.. I'm sorry????????? I asked who complained?? & he said no it's just me.......??? This is a 0/10 DO NOT COME HERE!!! I've been coming to Palm Springs for over 10 years and I've never been treated with such disrespect...TRASH.. This is completely because I'm a WOMAN... The war on woman is live and well. In Palm Springs this is surprising and sickening. If a man was with us, I'm 10000% sure this would NOT have happened. This is a BAR not a restaurant. Get real.
google avatar

Lacie S.

Yelp
Fun place with tasty food and ambiance. We got a dark table in the back but they also have bar seating and outdoor patio

Yelp
I love a tiki bar, and this place was popping. I would say drinks are either hit or miss depending on your palate. The macadamia chi chi was good yet strong, but the blue hawaiian my friend ordered was way too sweet and they could not finish it. Honestly the virgin piña colada was the all-around best drink of the night. Also docked stars because of strange service. Our server took our order, didn't return for a very long time, and then came back to ask us if we wanted our check or round 2 when we clearly had not even gotten our first round yet. Then when she finally brought our drinks out she set them down and spilled liquid onto the table. But she either didn't notice or didn't care and left. Had not even drank half our drinks when she came back and set the check onto the table without saying anything, asking us if we wanted anything else, or looking at us. It was as if her eyes were glazed over and she stared right through us in that moment. Ultimately we did order a second round and a different server brought the drinks to us. Then the same first server returned and gave us another check even though we were clearly not done: we hadn't even been there 1 hr. We noted amongst ourselves that when she served other tables, she'd constantly look to check if we put our card down to pay. It was an uncomfortable feeling, and one that we won't be returning to experience.
google avatar

Rocky F.

Yelp
I had fun at the Tonga Hut. The stairs are a bit daunting, especially AFTER having a drink, but we were greeted by a friendly host and met our friends on the patio. We had the Scorpion Bowl between five of us. It was not weak, we all felt it. We had no food, so I can't comment on that. But the service and the ambiance were wonderful and I will return.
google avatar

K M.

Yelp
Came in tonight for my birthday and received the most hostile service ever from an older male server. Couldn't be bothered to describe any drinks, he would snap "It's rum, it has 82 ingredients!!!!" Got extremely upset when I exchanged my cocktail and he tried to overcharge. When we asked to pay the correct amount he waited until my boyfriend left to come confront me about our check, all worked up and telling me that it's not his fault I didn't like the first drink. just the most unhinged behavior I've ever experienced. The host and female server weren't much friendlier. Rude to straight couples, absolutely awful and discriminatory establishment with mid drinks. Go to Bootleggers instead. So disappointed, btw I'm also in the industry and give a lot of allowance for poor behavior.
google avatar

Molly C.

Yelp
Tiki bar in Palm Springs, our friend recommended and it was a great little spot to pop in for a drink. We sat outside to enjoy the weather and had a nice view overlooking Palm Springs drive. Stop by next time you're in Palm Springs for pina colada!
google avatar

Alexander C.

Yelp
I liked the Mai tai but not much else good to report. The biggest issue was the service. Our waiter was down right rude and it didn't seem like he wanted us there at all. He literally threw a napkin at me. When we asked for the bill, he didn't say a word and just turned around and left. The rest of the drinks were overly sweet. I also did enjoy the Korean ribs, but they weren't enough to bring me back again. =\ All would have been fine if I had felt welcome in this space.
google avatar

Johnathan O.

Yelp
They could improve their ribs. The ribs were pretty tough just like the person that took my order. I would have liked to know that the beer I was drinking during happy hour wasn't a happy hour beer.

Kristen F.

Yelp
NGL I'm wicked disappointed. My hubby & I made a night here in Palm Springs on our way home to AZ with high hopes because he went to the iconic N Hollywood location. This was disappointing. I've never reviewed a restaurant, but tonight I am. I am thoroughly disappointed. Our wait staff ignored us, they gave us the wrong food but never came back to check on us so we ate if because we were hungry from a days travel.. He finally came back to check on us and we told him we ordered something different and he disappeared to the kitchen to come back and say it was a kitchen mix up, still not asking if we needed anything else. He offered a dessert on him and disappeared again. Delivered it and said "there's dessert" but then again disappeared before we could even order another drink. Without a doubt, the most inattentive and disconnected server ever. Horrible service. Like, the worst. And don't sit on the patio...if you're looking for a true tiki vibe, this ain't it. Should have sat inside.
google avatar

Javier H.

Yelp
I love everything tiki. And when I ran into this place in Palm Springs, I could not pass it up. Delicious tiki drinks. The Mai Tai is from the original recipe, not your cruise ship version. The bartenders are hilarious. The company at the bar is magnificent.
google avatar

David F.

Yelp
Yet another gem in the realm of tiki bars. In my personal hierarchy of reviews, tiki establishments that offer tiki-style cuisine earn bonus points. The lokomoko and pupu platter here are absolutely delightful, transporting you back to the nostalgic era of 1960. The theming at this establishment is superb. With its dimly lit ambiance and midcentury touches, it truly feels like stepping back in time. Although there's a cool patio bar overlooking Palm Springs' main drag, I personally prefer the cozy indoor setting. Service is consistently excellent, although there may be a wait during peak hours. Planning ahead is key, but rest assured, the experience is well worth it. Without a doubt, this ranks among my top-tier tiki bars and is a must-visit destination.
google avatar

Brittney S.

Yelp
Fun spot to escape the heat! Inside feels like it should be apart of Disneyland. Decor & overall ambiance is calming and thought out perfectly for the 60's vibe. Drinks are delicious and beautiful. I also ordered a side of fries and they were great.
google avatar

Rachel H.

Yelp
Wow! What a gem! First off. This was such a fun and unusual place to discover. There were secret rooms, games to play and fun tiki decorations throughout. The drinks were super fun and delicious! Amazingly the food was delicious too. Our server was amazing and I'm pretty sure my kids got royal treatment for the first time ever at an adult restaurant. We went on a Thursday at 6pm. We sat at a dark booth in the back. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. We ordered the Pi Yi (pineapple drink) and the coconut drink. Honestly. The coconut drink was the best concoction and my favorite of all that we tried. We added a couple $10 happy hour mai tais as well. The kids always feel left out when we order these drinks so we asked for some virgin fun drinks for them. The server brought out flamingo drinks and leis which was such a fun surprise! For food we got 3 orders of the angus beef sliders ($12 each) on happy hour, the chicken skewers and the egg rolls. The sliders were great. They use American cheese so I opted without since I'm not a fan. They have a slightly spicy dressing/sauce on the sliders that was really good. I probably would have gotten on the side as I like to determine how much sauce on each bite. The fries that came with it were super good too. For $12 it was a really good deal (it may even be less than in n out). I didn't try the skewers but hubby ate them all up. The southwest egg rolls were ok. I was too full to eat more after all we ate. Overall, a super awesome find we'd love to come again next time we're in town.

Yelp
Doug at the bar was awesome Come in for drinks and stay for the mystery and cool atmosphere and maybe a second round ? Loved the SPAM FRIES for a salty bar snack

Yelp
Every time I visit Palm Springs, I have wanted to visit here and I finally was able to make the time. So firstly I visited with a friend who doesn't have a cell phone and their menus are QR menus. I don't normally mind but again my friend did not have a cell phone so I looked at the menu and decided what I wanted and lent my phone to my friend. The waiter came and asked us if we knew what we wanted, my friend who had just started looking at the menu said he needed more time but I could go ahead and order. The waiter said he would rather take the order at the same time and left. I was like whaaat? My friend figured out what they wanted and we were allowed to finally order. So we had some appetizer's and several drinks. All of the drinks were amazing. I would go back for the drinks! The kraken the dole whip cocktail and the nutty chi chi taste very similar but they were both fantastic. Like one of my favorite cocktails ever. The ambience is of course cute and tacky and very tiki but also very Palm Springs. I would return but I would probably just sit at the bar and not bother with the wait staff. Even with the rude waiter, the drinks were that divine.

David M.

Yelp
My partner's Loco Moco was bland, and gross. The fish in the fish and chip were over cooked and resembled chicken tenders. The serve was slow. The Mai Tais were poor. There are better options for a few $$ more.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Great concoctions and friendly owner and staff. Will definitely return... multiple times

Carmen A.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant, you go up some stairs to the top level, and we were seated overlooking the street view, and a hotel in front of us. It was crowded and the ambiance was alive and welcoming. Our appetizers to our drinks and entrees were all so tasty. Our waitress was good and attentive too. We even ordered a dessert, which was shared. A must visit on a popular boulevard in Palm Springs, nonetheless we found parking. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Jacki R.

Yelp
We ordered the Fish bowl and poo poo platter to share and it was perfect. Our server Daniel was amazing and gave good recommendations. Thank you!
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
The Mai Tai is absolutely wonderful. That's what they are know for here. Of course. If you're ordering food, we were a bit disappointed. We tried the Teriyaki beef skewer. While the beef was flavorful, it was tough. The skewers should have been cooked while basted with the Teriyaki sauce. Instead, it was bare with very Teriyaki pasty sauce on the side. Nice view of the street from the deck. VERY friendly service. In fact, someone next to us spilled something on his shirt and a staff member brought over a Tide pen to help him remove the stain. Never saw that happen before:

Yelp
A must stop in Palm Springs, I try to always have my birthday in the speakeasy room here . The food is great , favorite spam fried rice rocks !

Yelp
Lots of fun. Close to a lot of nearby entertainment. Love the Tonga island vibe. The service was really nice too.

Yelp
Classic Tiki Bar in downtown Palm Springs. The balcony is a great place to sip and watch what's going on down on the street. The drinks are on point, the decor is perfect for the concept, and the staff are all very knowledgeable about the Tiki lifestyle. An absolute must to visit when in Palm Springs!

Yelp
Came here with family and friends on a Saturday evening. Restaurant wasn't too busy but food took forever to come out. Entrees even came out before our appetizer which to mention was $14.00 for two spam musubi-total rip off. Food was cold and bland. Ordered the loco moco and beef patty's had no flavor what so ever. Drowned my dish in hot sauce just to give it some flavor. Even rice was slightly undercooked. What was even worse was our service (with the exception of the hostess) had to flag down our sever multiple times for water refills/drink orders and she would take one drink order but didn't bother to see if the rest of the party needed anything. The only highlight of our dinner were our drinks. Other than that I would not recommend dining in. Maybe stop in for a drink but only if I sat at the bar.

Yelp
I'm giving this place 2 stars for the atmosphere/decor and the food taste. We showed up about around 930pm knowing that the kitchen closes at 10pm on a Sunday night. We had to wait about 5 minutes near the bar until a seat opened up in the 6-table dining area. We got seated and ordered a drink and some waters. It took more than 20 minutes to receive our glasses of water. It was almost 10pm when I had to flag the waiter down and ask him if we could order food. We ordered the wedge salad, pork potstickers, and the pineapple fried rice. They were out of shrimp so we went with chicken for the rice. After waiting another 15 minutes we received our food without any napkins, utensils, or serving spoons. Everything seemed very unorganized. The waiter kept apologizing but also neglecting us at the same time. At one point I asked for hot sauce, and he brought me Tabasco which threw me off. I was expecting something that went more with the Hawaiian theme?? Maybe I'm overreacting but I was already annoyed with the service at this point. Ofcourse the bill came out quickly without us even asking for it (unlike the food and drinks). Maybe it was because they wanted to go home but that's not a good excuse. Prices were overpriced as well, $21 some fried rice and $15 for lettuce. Unfortunately we won't be back and we'll make sure to have dinner earlier, to give us more options to choose from.

Yelp
Ambiance is great! Our waiter was super nice but the manager or owner is NOT very friendly and seems like he doesn't even want to be there! Food is pretty good.

Yelp
The ambiance makes it well worth it. Loved the environment, the games and the overall crowd. The food was mid to below average imo. The drinks were ok.

Yelp
We had just finished having Italian food down the street and walked around the strip for a bit. We were mainly trying to kill time before meeting up with the rest of our friends and stumbled upon this tiki bar! My bf and I LOVE trying new tiki bars and although we have this one at home near us, we still haven't gone so we decided to try it while waiting! We walked over and headed up stairs where they are located. Super cool and seemed like it was a hidden gem! The bar was super packed and the room was slowly filling up as well. Luckily the guy seated us right away outside on the balcony. Super cool seating so you see the view of the strip. We sat down and looked at the menu via QR and it took a good 30+ minutes for someone to finally come and take our order. It seemed like there was only one lady taking orders and a solo guy sat at the table next to us shortly after we sat down and the worker walked up to him to take his order before even acknowledging us! Shortly after that (although 30 minutes had already passed) she stopped and looked at us on the way to one of her other tables and asked if anyone already helped us and we said no and she said she'd be right with us. It sounded like there was supposed to be another worker who was supposed to take our order but they were nowhere to be found. She took our order and everything was great after that! I went for this Pina colada that had macadamia in it so it had a nutty flavor and tasted amazing!! Might be my new favorite. My bf got one of his favorites which was some kinda Grog drink (I forgot the name) but he really enjoyed it as well. We also got some wonton chips with a sweet chili dip and some meat egg rolls with Chipotle aioli dip. We loved everything and had a great time after finally ordering. The lady worker was very sweet and checked on us a few times to make sure we were good after. Definitely coming back next time we're in town! IG: @ammysalamii

Yelp
I was there 3 months ago. The ambiance, food and drink was good however the staff infighting was ridiculous. The servers arguing with the bartenders and the host yelling and demeaning an employee right in front of us was so unprofessional. This place needs some training and the employees that are miserable need to leave. I witnessed a toxic work environment.

Yelp
Great ambience, wonderful service. Food was great, I took my daughters, they enjoyed Tonga Hut, they have a dining room away from the bar for parents with children and I thought that was awesome!
