I recently visited Tuck Room Tavern, and it blew me away! The drinks here are amazing—crafted with care and full of flavor. I tried the "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" cocktail, and it was just incredible. The ambiance is chic and comfortable, and the food is top-notch. If you're looking for a stylish but laid-back spot for drinks and bites, this place is perfect

Exceptional restaurant, food & service! The Tuck Room is a hidden gem. Ambience & decor is great & upscale. The hostess was very personable & professional. Natalie provided excellent service. She was professional, personable & informative. She provided some great recommendations. Ryan was also very helpful & friendly & was very gracious to take photos of my wife/I. We had the spinach dip & burrata for appies. I had the 10oz chicken & my wife had the Shrimp Linguini. Both dishes were delicious! We were SO Full we had no room for dessert! I would highly recommend Tuck Room! Thank you Tuck Team. Great job. Kudos 💯

The food and drink were delicious and well crafted, the service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was excellent! Parking is just next to the theater and restaurant and is just $3.50 with validation. Attached is their passionfruit dessert. It was the perfect birthday treat.

Tonight was my first time at the Tuck Room tavern, everything we ordered was great. We had the brussel sprouts, the crab cake and the salmon! All are a must try. Wine was great too, as well as service. Loved it and will come back

Google
Came in around 8pm on a friday night, was relatively empty, the ambiance is great more of like a cocktail bar type of place serving classic american food We ordered Bone marrow, the tuck burger and the sweet and spicy bacon burger Bone marrow was delicious & the serving is BIG for its price point. But I don’t recommend ordering it if you come as a party of 2 as an appetiser. It’s too much for 2 and we were basically full by the time we finished this, it also gets pretty greasy at the end cuz we couldn’t finish fast enough I had the sweet and spicy bacon burger with sweet potato fries, was a great burger and fries overall just sadly I couldn’t finish it Service was friendly and speedy, would definitely recommend if you craving good burgers and want to order with some cocktails or alcohols

Google
The place is gorgeous, they have a good selection of wines and drinks, and decent food. I would give them 5 stars if I would have received a better service from their crew. Otherwise the place is great

Google
The decor and couches are nice, and it's near my house, so I've wanted to like this place, but after three visits I've never left particularly happy with my experience. The food is expensive, but frankly not great--I've had most of the appetizers, an entree, and brunch and I was never wowed or even impressed. The cocktails are fine, but not great, which is disappointing given that they run up to $16. My biggest beef with the place is the pretentiousness of it all though; you can see their weird wannabe Patrick Bateman vibe from their website, and that bottle-service-in-vegas attitude comes across when you're in the restaurant, too. In sum, this place is totally fine--your food and drinks will be perfectly tasty and you can enjoy the environment or watch some sports at the bar. But you'll also pay too much and it's not going to feel like a welcoming or authentic place. It could be good for a date or get together, but if you're just looking for some good food and cocktails and a place to pass some time, I say go elsewhere (like, say, Skylight Garden just a couple blocks away).

Tonight myself and two young adult sons came to The Tuck Room for the first time for the Thanksgiving buffet. I was really looking forward to the experience. I'm sorry to say but the food was not good at all as it did not taste like normal Thanksgiving dishes at all. The turkey and mashed potatoes were good but that was about it. The stuffing was soggy and greasy and had zero flavor, the cornbread was mushy, the "cranberry sauce" did not taste like cranberry sauce (it was awful), and the truffle mac & cheese was dry and hard. I would have to say that this restaurant should stick with whatever food they specialize in on a daily basis and NOT on Holiday food as they failed miserably. It was not enjoyable at all. Wasted $195. The guy that was carving the turkey at the carving station was not nice at all. I noticed he was pleasant and smiled at other guests that approached the carving station, but that did not happen with me even when I tried talking to him. He was very straight faced with me. I asked for turkey with skin on it and he only gave me turkey. I asked for the skin again and he ripped a piece and sat it on top of my turkey slice!! Like WHAT!??? It looked like slop how he did that!! All he had to do was slice the turkey from the top of the bird that had skin attached and happily served me that...problem solved. I returned for a second slice of turkey later and something was off about him. He seemed almost hesitant to serve me another slice. I began to think there were some type of limit on the turkey although it was a buffet. He proceeded to give me a slice of white meat and when I asked for skin again, he stopped, put his arms down and silently sighed with his body language and began to give me skin with dark meat when I specifically asked for white meat! I reminded him that I do not want dark meat. He then ripped a few pieces of skin from around the turkey and again plopped it on top of my turkey slice. That was NOT OKAY and gross. It did NOT look appetizing. I walked away and did not eat it. For $65 per person and it being a buffet, if I wanted two slices of turkey with skin, then GIVE ME WHAT I ASKED FOR!!!! I asked my waiter to speak with the manager and guess what??? The turkey guy was the assistant manager! Acting like that!!?? So I asked who was over him! I am a military veteran and have been taught to use my chain of command. Everybody has someone over them. I had enough of that treatment he repeatedly gave me and asked for his manager. She was pleasant and I spoke with her. I will not return to this restaurant for holiday food or just in general for that matter. By the way, Kyle our server was really nice, super friendly, professional and polite. That is the only positive I took away from tonight.

Yelp
This place has beautiful scenery and a nice ambiance. You can dine in before or after your movie and the surroundings of this place is just all around nice.
google avatar

Jaymie N.

Yelp
This restaurant truly makes the most sense for a pre-movie cocktail and food. They checked to see what time our movie started to make sure we had enough time to dine. And even if you ran out of time, you are welcome to take your food and drinks to the theater with you! I ordered a Tito's martini with a twist, extra cold and it was delicious. And came out super fast! Every time we ordered a drink, it came back within a few minutes. As for food, I ordered the steak frites. I was expecting a more traditional French steak frites (sliced steak with a sauce and thin fries) but what I got instead was a hefty NY strip and fries. It was still good, just not what I was expecting. The fries came with ketchup, garlic aioli, and ranch (which I asked for). The garlic aioli was the best dip. The service was quick, helpful, but never intruding.

Yelp
This is an upscale theater with restaurant and bar. I don't get to try the theater though was told it has personal service and lay flat seats. The bar was great and had a good selection of food. Nothing over the top as the chicken sandwich was typical. The bartender was attentive and helpful. Get the truffle fries. They are as good as any I've had.
google avatar

Marina M.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. The steak was a steak and the pasta was pasta, it did have a very tasty sauce. It was a cute place for a date night. I wish we did get seated inside but there was a private event we didn't know about. The service was quick and kind and the food came out quickly. Parking is downstairs and you get it validated!
google avatar

Yelp
Very classy and elevated experience at The Tuck Room. Elegant ambiance and attentive service. Drinks are superb. Both the steak and flatbread we ordered were delicious. If you're looking for a nice cocktail bar in Westwood, this is your place!

Yelp
Took my coworker here for her birthday a few weeks ago and its a hidden gem. Loved the ambiance especially the book wall. The food and drinks were great. Service was good, our waiter was new but still had a lot of great suggestions for us to try. Garage parking was fairly easy I think the 1st hour or 2 was validated.
google avatar

Yelp
Came back recently. So much better now. For a second this place was turning bad. Service and food is once again superb again. Also, the service at the movies has gotten so much better. Can't wait to come back again.
google avatar

Caroline S.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious, from the food to the service everything was amazing! Ambiance is relaxed friendly jazzy . I can't wait to return.

Yelp
this restaurant is underneath the epic theatres on Wilshire near Westwood. It's a hidden gem to be honest. I haven't eaten there, but the menu looked good and I loved the design inside.

Yelp
The Tuck Room is such a great place to grab delicious bites of food and drinks with your friends. Their burgers, truffle fries, and spicy tuna on crispy rice are so good. They also have a Happy Hour menu on Wednesdays. The servers here are so kind and very attentive, as well.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Feels like you're in NY. Love the Norma Jean and crab cakes. Friendly servers and cozy vibes.

Yelp
I visited the Tuck Room with some of my classmates for their all-day happy hour. Aesthetically, this place is absolutely lovely. We loved the decor, especially the book wall! Happy hour prices and item quality were absolutely excellent. The Strawberry Fields instantly became a go-to that I've had each time I've returned, and the poblano artichoke dip was simply fantastic. I do want to note that happy hour was somewhat confusing: this only takes place at the bar, which required us to change our plans substantially as we had expected to have a place to sit. I'd love to see just a bit more clarity on this. The servers were all very friendly. Some of the servers were not super attentive, but others made up for this by being incredibly friendly throughout my two hours at the bar. Overall, I'm a huge fan of The Tuck Room and have eagerly returned on Wednesdays after classes. This has easily become a Westwood favorite!
google avatar

Paige D.

Yelp
Cute aesthetic and friendly staff. We didn't think the drinks or the food were that great. We ordered an espresso martini and a pisco sour and the brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts weren't even hot when they came out, hardly room temperature.
google avatar

Madelaine C.

Yelp
I'm a little late but here goes. Came here for their Mother's Day brunch and boy, did they have a beautiful spread. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Valie K.

Yelp
I absolutely adore this spot. Staff is fabulous and attentive. Drinks on point! Food fabulous from their burgers to salmon it's delicious. This whole vibe was perfect for our mini reunion while I was back in LA. Bonus next door to iPic.

Yelp
This spot is so fun and whimsical. A hidden gem in Westwood. Situated right next to a movie theatre, The Tuck Room has spacious lounge seating and space for indoor dining. Fun artwork surrounds the venue and they have a great music selection! We came for drinks - I tried the Norma Jean which was a refreshing and fruity drink! Reminded me of a Starbucks Strawberry Acai Refresher + vodka. Would be a fun venue for a celebration. Service was fantastic. Our server had a big personality and was fun, welcoming, and attentive! We were seated right away and had fast service on a Friday night. Nachos Grande were good - $17 but serves 3 people as an appetizer so it works out to ~$5 per person. Drinks ranged between $13-$17. Want to come back during their happy hour when the price would warrant more frequent visits!

Sue H.

Yelp
I gave them a low rating based on the ambiance. If you have never been there be aware that they share their lobby with the movie theatre and last night there were about 10 families whose children were very unruly. The parents allowed their boys to run around the lobby; talking loud and when we complained to management nothing was done... I love children, but I always made sure my children behaved when out in public...
google avatar

Emmie H.

Yelp
I had a great time here. I came for the all day happy hour on Wednesday. Worth noting this only takes place at the bar. I had two margaritas, which were great and poured strongly, and munched on some poblano artichoke dip and some truffle fries. I ran out of pita chips for the dip and my server so graciously offered to bring us some more, free of charge. The restaurant is super cool on the inside with lots of fun and whimsical art work and I like the book wall that creates a kind of boundary between this and the iPic theater. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Paola H.

Yelp
Okay so the low review is for the restaurant tell me why their AC is out and it was pretty hot in there , they told us it had been out for about a month . We are having heat waves that's not okay . The food was pretty good and the staff was so sweet and tentative . But it was hard to fully enjoy such a pretty location when I was sweating
google avatar

Yelp
It was super easy to make a Friday dinner reservation here online. Service is very attentive, friendly, and fast. I enjoyed the lounge-y vibe, cozy lighting, and upscale decor. We shared the short rib bao sliders, which I didn't expect to be fried but was pretty tasty. The menu has a lot of sandwich options compared to only 4 other entrees, so I ordered the Southern Bird. The chicken was decent, but the flavor was a bit lacking. The Shrimp Linguine was really yummy, and I love when there's that smoky, charred taste to the shrimp. Overall, I would come back (if someone else offers to drive, because parking in Westwood was a nightmare!).
google avatar

Kimi M.

Yelp
This place is nestled right next to a movie theater, which is great if a friend or spouse invites you to see a movie that you don't want to see unless you're full of good food and lots of liquor. The drinks and food are great, the decor is eclectic. Highly recommended!!

Yelp
LOVELY atmosphere, great funny paintings, and bookish walls, as a Writer I truly admire. I loved the avocado salad, and the great service. We Ordered the chicken sandwich which was awesome and the truffle fries were absolutely delish. I only drink Pellegrino here. Dr Olga Andrei, author

Yelp
We ended up there following the Yelp recommendations for restaurants close to our hotel. It was a short stroll away and worth every little step. We actually though it was closed as the street view is quite dull and the main door with the name above was locked. The tinted dark windows did not help. So we stepped in the IPIC theatre that the restaurant serves and we were invited to choose any table. Loved the atmosphere straight away. It was quiet. The menu was plain enough to cover our basic needs and the cocktails exotic enough to make it feel a little special. The patrons were a super mega mix of us , just a regular couple, a young family celebrating their son's birthday and probably going to see a film next door straight after , date nights, people busy chatting with the super pleasant bar tenders. Our waiter was super polite, efficient and discreet. Nothing wrong with the food.

Yelp
Don't walk, run.... To the tuck room !! Ambience was top-tier. the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend you ask for a booth in their room with the chandeliers. It's just so beautiful and so artistic!! right in the heart of Westwood. This is a great place for a night with with the girlfriends! Or have your man take you on a hot date there, I know I'm going to! I can't wait to come back here.

Vala Z.

Yelp
I really love hanging out the Tuck Room. The wait staff is top notch! And the menu is fresh and seasonably changing. The only suggestion I can offer is to bringing back the spicy bar "nut mix" melody from the 2016 early days.
google avatar

Tierney D.

Yelp
The cocktails and food are good, but not particularly special. At this price point, I would expect the dishes to be more imaginative and better executed.
google avatar

Alan V.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and it is good but the food is not amazing. The choices like truffle fries and spicy tuna bites sound amazing but there is nothing really special about it. It is only worth during happy hour or else I would just save your money. Lots of open space and being connected to iPic a lot of traffic through the areas.
google avatar

Aleah L.

Yelp
Parking is $3.50. Reasonable for Westwood and 4 hour parking! The food is equivalent to chilis or Applebees with better drinks. To be honest, some of the food tastes frozen. Truffle fries- 8/10 Shrimp tacos-5/10 Brussel sprouts-5/10 Wings-7/10 Nachos-7/10 They accommodate large parties. Drinks are substantial. Would only go back for a drink or a movie. Service was near nonexistent. But the atmosphere is okay.

Elena S.

Yelp
Easter Brunch 2024 ! it's our tradition to go to The Tuck Room place every Easter since 2018! it was always beautifully decorated for Easter- Flowers, Easter shiny eggs , and everyone could take a picture with the Bunny . This year , my mom came from another country just for a celebration of Easter at The Tuck Room - and it was a complete disappointment from the minute we walked in - NO EASTER DECORE , NO BUNNY !?!?! It looked Just like an average buffet . Yes, The food was good and the service was grate , but where is a celebration of Easter ?!?!?!
google avatar

Kia R.

Yelp
Made a reservation same day, online for 8:15pm. Arrived at 8:10pm and a woman apologized saying they were slow and closed the kitchen for the night even though they were scheduled to be open for a few more hours. I asked them why did they allow the online reservation that was made? Why didn't anyone contact us? She said they didn't see it.
google avatar

Jay S.

Yelp
The hot wings were ok. Drinks are stingy. Overall the food there is just meh. Much better places to go within walking distance. Their owner or manager hovered to take your plates and drinks like they ran out and are hard up for them when the place was empty. That's annoying. Waitress was great. Possibly an off-night?
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Absolutely awesome place, beautiful decor. Great service. Ordered the chicken sandwich which was awesome and the truffle fries were absolutely fire. Would def come back!
google avatar

Stefany W.

Yelp
Great happy hour! I love how it's all day because I'm not stressed trying to make it before it ends. I came with a friend and we got a few drinks. The mule was really strong so definitely a great deal! We also got the fried chicken and the truffle fries. I wish we knew that the chicken was coming with fries because we would've gotten the spring rolls instead to try different things. The bartender was super friendly as well despite it being a bit busy. I can see myself coming back!
google avatar

Matthew M.

Yelp
Tried this place against my better judgement. As you might suspect, it's very corporate with very little imagination to be discovered in the menu. It also relies upon a guaranteed stream of theater and hotel traffic, and therefore there is really no incentive to maintain quality and standards. This definitely showed in the steak frites; the steak was very low quality and extremely chewy, the fries were a sad mess of soppy limp potatoes. The spicy tuna on crispy rice was adequate, nothing more. With so many unique and interesting options in this area, I would steer clear of this place.

Marleen W.

Yelp
We arrived on a Tuesday at 430pm and were told Happy Hour is only on Wednesdays. On the website it clearly states it every week day and on Wednesdays all day. I am Still trying to get clarification but to no avail. I don't like businesses that advertise falsely

Joe S.

Yelp
Best burgert I have ever had Made my day and probably will help me loose weight Service was great Music made me bust
google avatar

Sonam K.

Yelp
Let me start it by saying they have an all day happy hour on Wednesday. The drinks are great and the food is awesome. The bartenders are very friendly and also very good at making drinks. I'll come here with my coworkers for our happy hours.

Aaron F.

Yelp
We went to celebrate our son with family after UCLA graduation. 9 of us. great food and the service from Amber was top tier! We can't wait to go back.

Melissa W.

Yelp
We are here visiting my brother at the UCLA Medical Center. I mention this because I would not have sought this out; it is simply convenient. That said, I am glad to have stumbled upon it. The menu isn't too extensive, but they have plenty to choose from. We have tried the April 2024 special Short Rib grilled cheese (outstanding), the nachos (ok), and the truffle fries (excellent). The service was great, but the prices were a bit steep. For convenience, I will return.
google avatar

Kevin Q.

Yelp
Surprisingly fantastic food and service. Happy hour Wednesday deal is BOMB and super great value. Fish and chips and hamburger were both one of the better that I've had. Vibe is also solid with cool paintings and chandeliers everywhere.
google avatar

Edgar A.

Yelp
Excellent service Good food Great drinks I've gone to their Valentine's Day dinner in the past They had a special menu Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully plated If you have time definitely go to the ipic theater for a elevated movie experience. Mixed crowd Nice ambiance. Great location for a date night

Ellen A.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance, great service and great food. Not loud could hear the other people speaking.

David A.

Yelp
Good food, attentive service. This place is decent for both business meetings and get togethers with friends. $3 parking is also good.
google avatar

Sugar B.

Yelp
They have a Great burger! Nice cocktails as well. Highly recommend recommend! A++++++
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
I held an event here and it was disappointing. The service was terrible despite being one of the only parties there and take home order was wrong. When working with Maria for resolution on this I got offered a coupon to come back - no, never. I would not recommend this if you are hosting an event -FYI it's a movie theater with a restaurant in it - the pictures are much more glamours than real life. Food is chilies/apple bees level, drinks as well.
google avatar

Andrea Marie F.

Yelp
All I can say is the manager handled what would've been a horrible situation with his outstanding customer service, graciousness, and humility. I don't remember his name but if I go back, it would only be because of him.
google avatar

Ava W.

Yelp
This place had a very interesting decor. Walk in through a movie theater to what seems like a hotel lobby, but wait, it's actually kind of a sportbar. Portraits of animals as fancy portraits line the walls with booths. It has the feel of an after work place for professionals. I tried the pickle jalapeño whiskey sour. It was actually pretty good. I was surprised!
google avatar

Juvi G.

Yelp
Parking tends to really suck in this area, but the swankiness of the tavern itself more than makes up for it. Since it is located in the same building as other businesses, there is a parking structure, but as to the prices, God only knows. The interior is absolutely gorgeous, day or night, with a full bar surrounded by plush and cushy seating areas for drinking and a few tables scattered around for enjoying a full-blown meal. There are three separate menus: One for breakfast/ brunch which ends at 3PM, another smaller lunch menu which runs between 3-4PM, and a dinner menu which runs from 4PM to closing time. The decor is a cross between early 1900's art styles and modern-day architecture with a bit of "LA hipster" mixed in for good measure. They have a unique wall on one side that seems to be made entirely of books, but the different colors form the pictures of well-dressed animals in vintage clothing. The brunch menu is pretty modest, but it has some very popular items which they are famous for, like their Stuffed French Toast, Brunch Burgers, Crispy Fried Chicken & Waffles, and let's not forget those decadent cocktails. Speaking of which, deciding on a cocktail, alone, is an endeavor. Being a coffee-lover myself, the decision was easy, as they have a Mocha Martini with homemade chocolate liqueur and Lavazza espresso. However, drinks vary from old-fashioned favorites like mimosas and bellinis, to hand-crafted specialties like the Lemon-Berry Mule infused with lemon-berry vodka. I can tell you that the Mocha Martini is one of the smoothest coffee cocktails I have ever had with the perfect balance of chocolate flavor and liqueur. I also tried the Tuck Old-Fashioned with fig and walnut-infused rye, but it was way too strong for a brunch drink in my opinion. I tasted absolutely none of the underlying flavors in there, just a hint of citrus. Given how sugary my drinks were, I left the French Toast for another time and instead went with their Crispy Fried Chicken & Waffles with spicy bacon maple syrup and the Brunch Burger with a fried egg, spiced bacon, and sharp cheddar. The crispness of both the fried chicken and the waffles cannot be understated. You don't even need a knife to cut them, just use the side of your fork. The flavor is all there, as well; a deliciously-decadent balance between sweet and savory married by a satisfying texture. The burger was absolutely amazing: Super-juicy, perfectly-balanced high-quality ingredients, and way too small for my liking. Served with a small side salad, you will definitely need something else to compliment this dish. Get ready to make a mess with this one! As for the service, it is passable. Given that it is a fancy joint and they are open all day, don't expect chipper attitudes all day long. However, my server was both helpful and attentive throughout my meal. And with how fancy this place is and how relaxing the atmosphere, the service should be the least of your worries. Get ready for a sizable bill.

Yelp
Came by for a drink to get away from the traffic on a rainy night. Great dark, low profile place. Glad I stopped by, I hereby approve of their Old Fashion! You won't be disappointed. Appetizers are great bite size to have while winding down. See you soon Tuck Room.
