The 14 Best Bars In Shoreditch - London - The Infatuation

"The Umbrella Workshop makes the kind of creative cocktails you’ll get attached to before they’re snatched away. A teeny tiny exposed brick bar off Shoreditch High Street, this place has a short weekly changing menu that acts as a moody, boozy testing ground for its sister venues, Discount Suit Company and The Sun Tavern. The good news is that whatever drink you’re mourning will be replaced by something just as jazzy." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing

The Bar Hit List: The Best New Bars In London - London - The Infatuation

"“Tucked away in a quiet mews around the corner from the chaos of Shoreditch High Street, this bar, all exposed brick and moody lighting, is tiny. But the fact it can only fit around 10 people, huddled on stools or on the coveted bench by the window, creates its intimate, in-on-a-secret charm. There’s a short, weekly-changing cocktail menu, but here’s the twist. This spot is from the folks behind The Discount Suit Company and The Sun Tavern, and serves as their spirit-soaked testing ground. So that sweet-sour pink creation topped with whipped cream or that gin-based, refreshingly herby sharpener won’t be here next week, but might appear again on one of the sister menus at a later date. You can request all the classics too but the fun really lies in chatting with the friendly bartenders to decide what creative drink to try. The walls are lined with bottles available to buy so you can keep the good times (and cocktail experiments) going back at yours after closing time.” - DM" - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Daisy Meager, Sinead Cranna

Tucked away in Shoreditch’s quiet mews, The Umbrella Workshop is a hidden gem that’s equal parts cozy and cool. This tiny cocktail haven, with just 12 seats, serves up a weekly-changing menu of inventive drinks that feel like a delicious secret. From their mango-laced Solero twist to classic whiskey sips, every pour is crafted with flair by friendly bartenders who make you feel like family. The vibe—moody brick, reclaimed wood, and shelves brimming with indie spirits—screams character. Pop in for a taste, grab a bottled cocktail to go, and let this spot steal your heart. Shoreditch’s best-kept boozy treasure

Wow. Had two amazing evenings of cocktails here. It was the only place we visited twice during our 2 weeks stay in London. Our mixologist, Saira (Sorry if I misspelled your name!), was the absolute best. Creative, dedicated, really kind, and calm under pressure when it was busy. We really enjoyed meeting her and she gave us a very bespoke set of drinks on our 2nd visit. Can't wait to come back to London and pop in again.

Stopped in for a couple of drinks one afternoon. Wonderful friendly and knowledgeable folks at the bar. Fantastic, innovative cocktails, and a selection of unusual liquors and spirits for sale. Laid back vibes.

We came for the Irish Whiskey tasting session with Chris, it was brilliant. Really interesting and a great selection of whiskeys and poitin. We also had a couple of cocktails while we were in there - reasonably priced at £10 each using top quality alcohol. Very cool and unique wee bar with lovely staff. Can't wait to go back.

Small menu, great cocktails, knowledgeable and friendly bartenders. Will definitely be back. Jack made me a special cocktail with Irish Poitin and Chartreuse that was fabulous.

I love this place. The guy who runs it is great and the cocktails are unusual and delicious. Brilliant location in a hidden courtyard away from the road.

Intimate concept and tasting bar. Hate using the words hidden Gem, but she’s definitely a sneaky beauty. Proper cocktails in a very welcoming environment is an absolute pleasure in that built up area of standard chain bars in Shoreditch. The staff are extremely likeable and knowledgeable.

This is mine and my partner’s favourite bar. Calling it a bar even feels like an understatement. It’s a beautiful concept in a cosy, charming space in Shoreditch, where they create ingenious and unique cocktails every month. They often sound a bit off the wall, but they’ve always been delicious. The staff are so helpful and kind. It’s just a lovely place! I also think the cocktails are well priced for how good quality the ingredients are and for being in central London - £10 per drink.
