"Inside of Barnone in Gilbert’s Agritopia, Erin and Chad Romanoff, the team behind former food truck the Uprooted Kitchen, serve filling vegan breakfasts with choices like baked French toast with coconut yogurt, tempeh and naan breakfast sandwiches, crepes, and scones made with white Sonora wheat. Purist vegans should note that some items on the menu utilize honey." - jamiekillin, Chris Malloy

"The Uprooted Kitchen got its start as a food truck nearly 10 years ago and is still one of Arizona’s best-loved vegan dining destinations today. Uprooted Kitchen prioritizes nourishing food with no refined sugars and all-organic, locally sourced produce. And while no sugar might make one question the restaurant’s impressive lineup of baked goods, one of the founders has a background as a pastry chef that’s made her especially well-equipped to prepare some of the best vegan treats around. Think: apple cinnamon coffee cake and wheat-free cashew snickerdoodles." - Mcconnell Quinn, Jamie Killin

Solid, tasty food. It was great to have something that felt nutritious and fresh. Appreciate the owners' commitment to sustainability across the board (i.e. the compostable dishware and compost as well as the vegan and locally sourced food). Dessert was also yummy!

This place is AMAZING if you're looking for plant based whole foods. The Pad Thai bowl was creative and delicious, and the three desserts I took to go barely made it home. Wish I lived closer, I'd eat there every week. Worth every mile of the three hour drive to Gilbert and an absolute joy to dine there. Great people, great food!

Love the food, and the owners are nice people. If you want fresh plant based food, this is the place to dine. They change the menu every week. You will want to dine at least once a week. Erin and Chad continue to surprise me with their menu options. I recently had the Pad Thai Buckwheat Tacos. Three housemade wheat-free buckwheat/oat tortillas filled with tamarind roasted vegetables, red lentil scramble, pureed sweet potatoes, green onions, and cilantro cashew cream. Yeah, I had to pull the ingredients together from their website. Check out this place even if you aren't vegan.

Located in Agritopia a fantastic vegan restaurant/bakery. Desserts are always a treat, the scones are my personal favorite. It's nice to have different flavors with the food and drink choices.

Wow! We intentionally chose to come to the uprooted kitchen, For our 39th wedding anniversary brunch… Just the two of us! First of all, the service and the welcome was tap notch… And then the food… Absolutely amazing! We have already shared with many people via text and pictures since we have been here eating… We will definitely be back and bringing friends and family with us! Thank you!

The food was honestly amazing. If you're not Vegan but still willing to explore different meals I highly recommend you try this place. The owners and employees are so nice and the atmosphere is chill. My only regret is not trying it sooner!! We will definitely be going back often!

What a great place! Inside of a community of different local spots. Owners are kind & passionate about their food. Absolutely thrilled about the raw vegan options!! Great menu, food is healthy, full of flavor & large potions. The carrot ginger soup is perfect, quesadillas flavorful and cheezecake was so rich!! Highly recommend ✌️💞🌱

Absolutely amazing. Such wonderful, patient and kind people. Super fast service. Food is absolutely delicious with great presentation, creative flavors and just filling enough to leave room for dessert. Got Pad Thai Buckwheat Tacos and shared a snickerdoodle cookie and tiramisu (yay for desserts that aren’t sickly sweet!) Sat outside (only ones who did - guess most ppl here think it’s too cold in Jan 😂) Wish I could come here every day, or move them to Maine!
