This military-style restaurant is truly something special. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful — classy, meaningful, and perfect for a date night or celebrating a special occasion. You can really feel the pride and purpose behind the design, and the attention to detail is impressive. The food and service were both top-tier. Everything we ordered was flavorful and beautifully presented. It’s definitely on the higher-end when it comes to pricing, but the experience overall felt worth it for a nice night out. The only downside, and something I hope they reconsider, is that despite being founded by military service members, they don’t offer a military discount to fellow brothers and sisters in uniform. It felt like a missed opportunity to show appreciation to those who share that bond. Still, a great place that we would return to for a special evening — with just a little room for improvement.

Incredible unique restaurant in St Pete. The rustic modern setting, seating and fire make you think you are somewhere else. The food and libations are excellent. Try the bison even if you are not a fan of bison. The service was attentive and friendly. They even have a small shop with cool stuff to buy.

Awesome restaurant with a great vibe! If you like the Yellowstone vibe, whisky and steak kinda of thing. But, very upscale and fancy, it is a bit pricey but definitely worth every penny. The food menu is great but the drinks and whisky is unbelievable, you just gotta go and try it. Get a reservation and there is a valet on the back.

We absolutely love coming here, and this visit was extra special. It was for my husband's 50th birthday! The restaurant went above and beyond, reserving a private room just for us. My husband, who served in the Army for 20 years, is hard of hearing and often struggles to catch conversations in loud restaurants. But this setting was perfect and it allowed him to truly enjoy his meal while connecting with everyone who came to celebrate. The food was outstanding, and the staff made the experience even better. We’re so grateful and can’t wait to come back again soon!

I was visiting my Army buddy for my 40th a few weeks ago and he took me to this place to celebrate. I cannot speak better of the overall experience, food and ambiance of this place. It was probably one of the better meals, and service I've ever had for a meal in my life. I'm still speaking the praises to my friends and family and will be back every time we return to St Pete's. We did not have a bad bite of food all night. If you're on the fence to visit this place, just make the reservation and enjoy it.

love the low light cozy industrial atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service. our servers Joey and Michael were on top of everything, and I took the rec to get the lamb chops and they were delicious. charcuterie board and meatballs were incredible and I loved hearing the history of the space when we arrived!

I can't say enough about this place and feel it doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I brought my husband here for his birthday and promotion dinner and what an unforgettable experience it was. I messaged the general manager and told him I wanted to make sure my husband got the full experience since he'd been wanting to dine here since he first heard about the Horse Soldier Distillery. We were seated almost right away, in a secluded part of the restaurant, which I appreciated. Our servers welcomed us with a congratulate and happy birthday and dove right into the history and background of the distillery and restaurant. Being a part of that "world" it was very exciting introduction into the menu. We loved everything we ordered, to include the cocktails which were superb! At the end of our dinner, the general manager approached us and heard we were celebrating a promotion and offered to give us a tour of a special section of the restaurant dedicated and reserved for special guests. I don't want to give it away, but it was pretty amazing given the history of those founders and everything that came afterwards. It was like visiting a museum and a small part of history and we couldn't be more grateful for the tour. We loved it so much that we came back with more people and they were also equally impressed by the food, service and the history behind the place.

We visited the restaurant this weekend to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had hoped for. Despite making a reservation for the patio days in advance, on the evening of our dinner, a severe weather warning was in effect. When we arrived, the patio felt more like a beach bar in the middle of a storm—so windy that our napkins, my husband’s sunglasses, and even small pieces of food were being blown off the table. We politely asked both the hostess and our waitress if we could be moved inside due to the extreme conditions. Shockingly, they were unable to accommodate us—not even at the bar. This was despite us noticing empty tables indoors when we briefly stepped inside. It was frustrating to be left outside in such uncomfortable conditions. Moving on to the food—our first dish, the chicken liver crostini, initially looked fine, but as soon as I started eating, I was unpleasantly surprised to find it full of woody rosemary stems. Woody rosemary stems are not meant to be eaten and should have been removed before serving! For my main course, I ordered the recommended lamb chops. However, before I could even take a bite, the relentless wind sent small pieces of food flying off the plate, landing directly on my white jacket. While the waitress was very polite and kindly offered dry cleaning for my jacket, it didn’t change the fact that we were still stuck outside battling the elements. To make matters worse, I had specifically ordered my lamb chops medium, However, when the dish arrived, only one piece was cooked as requested—the rest were completely overcooked and well-done. This was incredibly disappointing, especially given the restaurant’s reputation and the price of the meal. At this point, it was clear that both the food quality and overall experience were far below expectations. What should have been a special and memorable birthday celebration turned into a frustrating and uncomfortable evening. The lack of flexibility from the management, the poor execution of the dishes, and the failure to accommodate guests during severe weather conditions all contributed to an awful dining experience. We will absolutely not be returning, and I certainly would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Yelp
Haven't been here in a long time so thought I would drop another review. First off; get a reservation. I had to book almost 6 weeks out to get a time that was convenient. But we did arrive early and they sat us right away. We have sat upstairs and wanted to sit downstairs. Easily accommodated. The place is amazing and their story is very cool. They will give you tours of the different rooms if no one is in them. So everything on the menu sounds good and the prices are not bad. Some things are high like the $72 ribeye, which we got. More on that in a sec. Wine and cocktails are very reasonable or should I say on par with the nicer places in St Pete. So we started with the deviled eggs. Amazing. These are so good. They come in 3's but you should get a fourth so no one has to fight of the last one. Next we had the key west shrimp. Battered and fried. So good as well. Course 2 done! Next the steak. Wood grilled dry aged ribeye with shishito peppers and HSB steak sauce. We ordered it med rare. It came out blue. No biggie. They took it back to refire. When it came back it was overcooked. It was pretty disappointing given the quality and price. We did ask for it split so they sliced it when served the first time so I think they just refired it too long. We did tell the manager and he offered to cook us another but we said it was fine. We should have gotten another but that is on us. They did try to make it right. Still took 20 off our bill. We took most of it home. The BBQ sauce was delicious and the shishito peppers really gave it a nice flavor. As a side I got the mushroom farrotto. Not a misspelling, it farro dressed up like risotto. Delicious! This is a must try. To cap off the evening we got their bourbon flight. This is a must do. They are very good. It is $25 for their 3 and add $55 more if you want to try the select. We did this time. A splurge for sure but it was amazing. I couldn't see taking a star for the steak. They offered to make everything right so as I said that was on us. Our server was amazing and the food came out fast and hot. The night was still a great experience.

Yelp
Ambience is killer in this place!! The food was superb. The bison filet was out of this world! I had the shrimp pasta and it was pretty tasty with a decadent prosecco cream sauce. Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 because although the service was great and the food was good, the place where we sat was near the stairs and it was awkward...also the seats themselves are pretty uncomfortable (that depends on where you sit ultimately). Will be back to give it another try and hopefully we get seated somewhere different! Highly recommend reservations as well.

Yelp
After multiple attempts to make reservations for the past few years for our annual girls holiday brunch, we were finally able to score reservations here! It's definitely a vibe here- you're greeted by a dark, warm yet modern ambiance, with high ceilings, exposed brick, and steel accents that create a sophisticated yet relaxed vibe. Brunch menu had plenty to choose from and I opted for the benedict. The chive hollandaise sauce was probably the best hollandaise I ever had. I opted for my go to drink order- dirty martini, extra dirty, blue cheese olives. Best I ever had, no, but definitely solid. The ambiance of the restaurant I feel is the star of the show. I would definitely return.

Yelp
I'll start by saying this restaurant has been my absolute favorite place in the entire Tampa Bay Area since the first time we dined here. It's gorgeous and the food is excellent. The vast majority of the time the service is stellar. There is now a very obvious change in management. Making the reservation was a challenge from the get go. They tried to tell me that over 8 people would require me to reserve a private room costing $150 for the room. This was supposedly "discounted". I've eaten in that "private room" 3 times in the past. Never charged. They were just happy to have our business. Tonight we went as a family. There were 7 of us. Our tab was right at $1,000. We had an after dinner cocktail and management began literally staring us down the MOMENT our bill was paid. It was very awkward. Our family rarely gets together and it would've been nice to spend a little time chatting before we left. We felt very pushed out the door. Like I said, the restaurant is beautiful and the food and drinks are great but the new management left a very nasty taste in my mouth. After spending a grand on dinner, a thank you and please take your time would've been far more appropriate.

Yelp
An absolutely phenomenal experience! We loved our dishes snd the cozy, distillery feel of the restaurant which reminded me of Kentucky bourbon distilleries. Our service was outstanding with kind staff who frequently check to make sure we had a lovely date night. Will absolutely be back and look forward to our next meal here. The bison filet and lamb chops were outstanding. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Impressive dining drinking establishment. Service is excellent, food was delicious. If you love your bourbon and whiskey this is the spot! Cocktail was nicely crafted. On site sommelier welcomes attending to your tastes with an abundance of "rain man like" knowledge. Having said all this... it's a pricey establishment for business dinners, celebrations and date night.

Yelp
Restaurant itself - 4 star Food 5 star - genuinely delicious. Cocktails - 3 star - I can do way better Service - 3 star to me - which is why a return visit is only a maybe. The Horse Soldier bourbon story is a very compelling one. I met one of the founders at an in-store tasting. Thoroughly enjoyed our conversation, bought several bottles that he personalized. The bourbon itself was good, not great. That's why we decided to pay a visit. The greeting was warm and personal, we were assigned a very nice table. Initially, our service team of two seemed awesome. They knew the menu well, explained to others in our party haw to taste bourbon, etc. etc. Here's where it got wonky, I felt we were under tremendous pressure to order quickly, eat quickly and be done quickly. Almost like there was a timer to get us done. and that happened throughout the meal. From ordering cocktails, to selecting the appetizers to choosing a main course to making a decision on dessert to getting our check and then getting the credit card process. And this is not an inexpensive restaurant. Basically, if we told one of the servers we weren't quite ready, the partner came by less than two minutes later. For each and every course. Not fun at all! And I told them that. As for the food, the lamb chops were out of this world. I would order them again if I would return. Same with the Seabass it was phenomenal. Both are the best I've had. I'll stop here as a return visit is unlikely at least soon for me.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance but they always make you wait, at least 30 Minutes, even if you have a reservation Food is expensive and not enough choices.

Yelp
Casual yet sophisticated fine dining. Excellent craft cocktails and fabulous service. Apps and meals were delightful. A must for St Pete dining!

Yelp
Our fancy experience with Bourbon tasting and Bison steak for New Year's Eve. Ambience is masculine, clean with woods and metals. I would only return for special occasions only. Bar staff very knowledgeable, food came out fast. Also came here for Galentines, another special occasion. Don't eat here if you want to save those pretty pennies

Yelp
Okay this place is so freaking cool. Very modern but very approachable. I attended a party in the second story and i loved the Pool Table room and the fireplace up there! Complimentary Valet too. Menu was delicious, and staff was super helpful and friendly.

Barry M.

Yelp
Very high end distillery with food. The person that greeted us asked if we had reservations and when we said no it sounded like we couldn't even get a drink. A bit of a turn off but we stayed and had a few cocktails once we found out we could order a drink from the bar and only sit in a certain area. We were told to not sit in any green chairs at the bar. Ok, lots of green chairs at the bar are open. Again, not very welcoming. The drinks were good but not sure we'll return

Yelp
We were traveling to St. Peterburg for a conference and decided to try this place. We are from Somerset and will have one of these openings soon. We wanted to see what it is like. We started with Oysters on the half shell. The pernod cocktail sauce was unique. The Calamari was served with a tomato and chipotle-based sauce that blended well with the crispy Calamari For the main course, my wife had the Roasted Chilean Sea Bass, served with a Fava Been puree vinaigrette saffron infused. The side was a Vermont goat cheese potato gratin, which was flavorful. I had the wood-grilled elk chops covered in a cherry-flavored balsamic glaze and honey-glazed baby carrots. I had the Marcacabio Choice mouse for dessert, and my wife had the pineapple upside-down cake. It was a fantastic meal but very costly. I feel this may well be outside of most people's price range in Kentucky. For after-dinner, I stuck with my traditional drink, the House Old Fashioned, which is made with the establishment own brand of bourdon, Horse Soldier straight combined with a dash of maple syrup, angostura, and orange bitters. It is extraordinarily complex with notes of vanilla, ginger, and cherries. This barrel strength "wheated" bourbon is made from small batches and filtered to provide a full-bodied and decadent finish. Too much of a departure from "traditional" bourbon for my taste. I will always support veterans and their service, but the bourbon does not live up to the media hype. My wife had the Lavender Bee's Knees, a pea 7 lavender flower infused hign, combined with honey and thyme syrup with an added lemon. It is the most underrate cocktail they offer. They have a complete listing of wine as well as Amaro & Dessert liqueurs as well as extensive beer selection Overall, the food was delicious, and so was the ambiance. It wasn't loud, and we could talk with no issues. The decor is rustic, with bourbon as the central theme. That said, I believe the prices for this type of restaurant will not allow it to stay open very long in South Eastern Rural Kentucky, such as Somerset. While the overall service and quality of food is definitely 5 stars on average it does not warrant a over all 5 star rating without reservation. It is doubtful that the one in Somerset, will exceed this one.

Yelp
Urban Stillhouse by Horse Shoulder is a trendy distillery and cocktail bar that's perfect for a night out on the town. As I step inside, I'm greeted by the lively ambiance of a bustling bar, with the sound of clinking glasses and laughter filling the air. The menu features a mouthwatering array of craft cocktails, made with house-infused spirits and fresh ingredients. And with friendly service and a laid-back vibe, it's the perfect place to sip on a delicious drink and soak up the atmosphere. They also have a gift shop with a myriad of gifts along with a distillery for tastings. The vibe is rustic and has various "environments" such as bar, upstairs, couch, and etc.

Sarah R.

Yelp
I feel like four stars is pushing it but for the ambiance and the awesome building it takes it there. The inside feels like you are in a modern cabin with rustic vibes. The awesome fireplace and furniture make it feel cozy. The drinks were coming out pretty quick once ordered and had a good variety to the menu. We ordered an app and it took 20 mins to come out. We decided to order our food as soon as the goat cheese and spinach dip came out because we were worried it would take awhile. The bread was burnt to a crisp when dropped off, had to ask for it to be recooked. Our entree came out not even 5 mins into the app. We were so confused how it took 20 mins for dip but 5 mins for a medium rare ribeye, green beans, and the potato au gratin. The food was just basic - I felt I could have gotten the steak and beans anywhere and wouldn't have noticed. The fact we barely ate our app and the meal came out so quick was poor timing on the two servers we had. I will say service was very quick because we had two people on repeat asking us but it was also kind of annoying to be asked the same thing twice over and over. Overall I would say it's a 5 maybe 6 out of 10 for the expensive price.

Yelp
Recently went to The Urban Stillhouse with my spouse and a friend for a celebratory dinner and overall this was a great night out. The first thing to make note of is the restaurant itself... absolutely magnificent space! I felt like I was at an apres ski party! All of the Christmas decorations were up and the place was buzzin'! It is a stunning space...impressive while still feeling cozy. We arrived about 30 minutes early for a Saturday night 7:15 p.m. reservation, so we ordered a drink at the bar. The bar seats are reserved, so we sat on some benches by the hostess stand while we waited. The bar design is actually really great... Typically, everyone is crammed up at a bar, squeezing in between patrons who are eating/drinking while trying to get the bartender's attention, but this bar had a small "pull up" space intended for people to order their drinks and then find a spot to sit while they wait for their tables. It's a small design detail, but definitely makes a difference! I ordered the Lavender Bee's Knees cocktail...it was one of the best cocktails I have ever had - so refreshing and tasty! I was also super impressed with the speed that the bartenders made these drinks - they're efficient and the drinks are good! Once we were seated, we ordered the following: * Bourbon Tasting * Spinach & Smoked Gouda Dip * Smoked Venison Tartare * Bone-In Bison Filet * Colorado Lamb Chops * Barolo Braised Wagyu Beef * Bombolini In terms of the appetizers, the Smoked Venison Tartare was good, but nothing special in terms of taste. The real star of the night was the Spinach & Smoked Gouda Dip - wow, wow, wow! If you go to Urban Stillhouse, there are two dishes that are a must-order and this is one of them. One of the most delicious things I've ever eaten! For our mains, I ordered the Bone-In Bison Filet, my spouse ordered the Barolo Braised Wagyu Beef, and our friend ordered the Colorado Lamb Chops and we all had a bite of each one. The Bison Filet and the Wagyu Beef were tasty, but again, I would not say there was anything unique about either of them. The bison filet tasted like any other steak and the Wagyu Beef had great saucing but was a little dry. With that said, the Colorado Lamb Chops were out of this world...this is the 2nd MUST ORDER dish at Urban Stillhouse. The lamb chops were delicate and flavorful. The exact quote from my friend was "I want to stop eating, but I can't." Cannot speak more highly of this wonderful dish! We ordered the bombolini for dessert - the flavors were yummy, but the doughnuts themselves were a little dense. In terms of service, the restaurant works in a 2-server per table fashion. Our two servers were Trey and Tommy... we never actually met Tommy, but Trey was fantastic - very personable and came to the table at the right times, checking in often without being overbearing. Our hostess, Ari, was so sweet and friendly! She gave us the best recommendations of the night walking from the hostess stand to the table! She also made it a point to let the ladies in the group know where the bathroom was (because it was kind of a hike)...that's going above and beyond, in my opinion! You have to prep the ladies for a bathroom run! In terms of parking, the restaurant offers complimentary valet - parking is a challenge in this part of town, so it's a nice touch. My only compliant was the pace of the meal... In the reservation, they make very clear that for a party of (3), it is a two-hour seating. With that said, I felt very rushed throughout the meal. I will not blame the server for this, but the kitchen was bringing out dishes at a pace that definitely did not loan us the time to enjoy our appetizers and drinks. We had about half of our appetizers left on the table when our entrees came out, which was about 25 minutes into the meal overall, so we were tracking well on time and not dragging our feet to eat. We had to ask for the (2) appetizers that we ordered to be left on the table so that we could finish them, which led to us rushing all of the food because we didn't want any of the meat to get cold. I ordered a bourbon flight and hadn't had more than (3) sips before the entrees were out - there was barely any room at the table. We will return for the lamb chops, the gouda dip, and the atmosphere! It was a pricey night, but worth it for a special occasion.

Kera ..

Yelp
This was our second time here. The first time we were blown away by the everything. This time we felt rushed to get through each course so they could turn the table over. Very disappointed

John C.

Yelp
This is one of the best restaurants in st pete! Super cool vibe inside and lots of space! Valet parking and you will need a reservation! Tons of craft cocktails and some really unique food! We reserved two seats at the bar and the service was so good! The bartenders know the menu and can guide you along! Perfect date night!

DreaRose V.

Yelp
Wandered in on a suggestion from local bartender and WOW! The atmosphere was stunning. We felt underdressed with boating clothes on, (I'll be sure to dress nicer since they also mentioned it) they squeezed us in on a Thursday because they are reservation only with little room for walk ins. Every single thing was in point. Lamb chops were 5 star, Bison filet 5 star. Trust me and ask for more Demi glaze and they should bottle that chimichurri sauce!). We chose the meatballs for an appetizer and yes, get them! We were too full for dessert but they all looked amazing! Bourbon flight and the Horse Soldier story had us riveted. My Commander martini (they forgot my brine, but corrected themselves) was very good! We will be back soon!

Ted G.

Yelp
Five star food The truffle dip is a must Short rib was perfect The drinks were a destination that you must try

Stacy P.

Yelp
Amazing spot for a special occasion or party. We sat at the bar and enjoyed cocktails and oyster appetizer. I had the Colorado Lamb Chops which is their staple signature dish and it was so good! I ate it all! Partner enjoyed the Bone-in Bison Filet and then we shared the Warm Pineapple Upside Down Cake! Service, Drinks and Food was excellent! Expensive so be warned but if you need to make an impression this is one of the best fine dining in town! Only open Thursday to Sunday and they do a lot of special events so plan ahead. Menu changes seasonally. Enjoy!!

Geoffrey B.

Yelp
Go to place for birthday dinner. Always sit at the bar. Hopefully have Meg for your waitress. Grilled chicken was fabulous.

Heather H.

Yelp
Fine dinning at its finest ... deserves TEN stars ! The staff were so attentive and accommodating! We sat in the apps and cocktail bar since we walked in and it's a TWO MONTH wait to get reservations. We waited 1.5 hrs to see if they would get a no show and they did!! We got to enjoy the full menu and it was so delicious! We had the lamb chops and the wagyu. The vibe is elegant and cozy. The interior design should be on HGTV lol!

Yelp
The Urban Stillhouse is an absolutely gorgeous restaurant! I love that is dark and moody which is a contrast with sunny St Pete. We started with cocktails in front of the fireplace while we waited for our table. I had the Lavender Bee's Knees and it was exactly as described- very lavender forward. Once at our table, we ordered a few starters/small plates: Prosciutto Wrapped Figs: 8/10 Good but nothing mind-blowing. Veal Meatballs: 9/10 Super hearty and filling. Honey Roasted Beets: 10/10 Large portion and loved the juxtaposition of the earthy beets with the peaches. As a table of 5, we were seated in the rear of the restaurant. The biggest con of the experience was the noise level of the restaurant. The noise ultimately led to our servers bringing two additional dishes because they misheard us as well as leaving out a side that was ordered. Ultimately, not a huge deal, but a little frustrating that we felt like we had to yell to communicate. For mains, we had the following: Bone-In Bison Filet: 10/10 Incredibly tender, generous portion size and crave-able potatoes. Lamb Chops: 20/10 This was the star of the dinner; two of our party ordered the lamb and we were all fighting for another bite. Absolutely delicious and perfectly executed. Crab Crusted Bass: 7/10 Perfectly cooked and accompanied by delicious sides just not memorable. With dinner, I had the Diamonds Are Forever cocktail and it was delicious! Definitely would have ordered another if I wasn't driving. All in all, service was great, the ambiance was lovely and the food was incredible. Excited to return to try more menu options.

Yelp
Food is delicious, the drinks are expertly made. The servers are very knowledgeable and will make a worry free experience.

Yelp
Urban Stillhouse bills itself as a fine dining restaurant, however, that couldn't be further from the brunch experience I recently had. We had an early brunch reservation, at 11am and we got there on time and parked in an open lot they have. There isn't that much parking though so be prepared to either valet or find other parking if that lot is full. Once our full party was there it took about 10 minutes to get seated. We ordered bloody Mary's to start and they were fine, but absolutely nothing special and the only adornment they came with was a slice of lemon, lime, and one olive. We started with the duck dumplings and the prosciutto wrapped figs. The dumplings were fried and clearly not fresh. They were lukewarm and the outside was hard and dry. The flavor was lacking. The figs were just...lazy. It's literally cold prosciutto wrapped around a cold fig. It did not warrant the price tag at all. For our mains we had the lobster frittata, the eggs Benedict and the burger. The lobster frittata came out cold and we had to ask for a new one. The eggs Benedict were fine, but nothing special. The burger was very tasty but very very greasy and the fries came out basically unseasoned. It was such a disappointing experience. We tried the bomboloni for dessert and it was also underwhelming. Given the prices and reservation only model, I don't think there is any chance I go back.

Yelp
I was visiting St Pete with my friends on Saturday evening. We didn't have reservations as our intent was to see how good their bourbon was and not necessarily have a meal. Good luck finding parking on a Saturday night or save yourself the grief and do the valet parking. Apparently, they are reservation only, but we were allowed to sit upstairs and order drinks, and some items from a limited menu. I enjoyed sitting upstairs, and as I looked towards the downstairs area from where we sat, it seemed like it was cramped and noisy downstairs in contrast to upstairs where it was laid back and relaxing. I have to admit, it was nice seeing all the going ons from the second floor, it made for interesting conversations during our time there. The intent was to try their bourbon, so I ordered a bourbon flight which we all ended up sipping from, and then I also ordered a smokey old fashioned. I've had my share of smokey old fashioned's before, but this was unique in that it seems like the maple infusion was within the ice cube itself so that as it melted, the drink got slightly sweeter, it was very nice; I enjoyed it a lot. We all shared the gouda cheese truffle dip that came with sliced ciabatta bread. This was great, and if it's any indication of their food, we'll definitely have to come back and try a meal. I ended up buying a bottle of the bourbon I liked best from the flight we had. Would definitely like to visit again.

Yelp
The Urban Stillhouse offers an exceptional dining experience! I had the prime Delmonico, and it was excellent - perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic, with a dark, but inviting atmosphere that makes for a great night out. The service was attentive and professional, adding to the overall excellent experience for our large group. If you're looking for a top-notch meal in a St. Pete, Urban Stillhouse is the place to go.

Yelp
Amazing food. Amazing service. We sat at the bar and everything came out super fast. Bartenders were super laid back and friendly.

Yelp
Food was amazing. The story behind the restaurant is really cool. The wait staff was very informative and friendly. Loved our experience. We had the beet tartar, lamb chops, Wagyu beef, Brussels, pineapple upside down cake, and passionfruit sorbet.

Yelp
The food was very good, the service was excellent, the restaurant is big but had all these little dining rooms, great atmosphere - highly recommend.

Yelp
Last night was wonderful! We had the rare opportunity to have a parents night out and we celebrated with a reservation at the bar at The Urban Stillhouse. Gorgeous atmosphere, industrial and cozy, high ceilings, a gorgeous bar with a beautiful vignette of the giant still. We started with the Yellowstone and Figgit About It cocktails and they were absolutely stunning! As the night went on we got to know our bartender, Nilson, and he was an absolute pro (so glad you're in St. Pete and not Arkansas!) We started off with some octopus, which was super smoky and meaty! Then, we got the Grouper and Lamb entrees with a side of goat cheese gratin. Just phenomenal. Everything. And came out SUPER fast! We ended with this amazing chocolate dessert (Maracaibo Chocolate Mousse) and another round of drinks crafted by Nilson. Overall, an amazing night. We will DEFINITELY come back!

Yelp
I'd like to start with - I've dined here before and had a fabulous experience all around and although I don't think we will dine here again, I hope what happened below is not a regular occurrence. On Saturday October 5th we had a 6pm reservation for 4 - my boyfriend and I along with my cousin and her husband. We sat down a few minutes after 6pm. Looking back now, we were definitely being asked somewhat hastily if we were ready to order but overall that didn't bother us. We ordered a round of drinks, all cocktails, then two appetizers. They came out quickly and everything was great. We put our dinner order in. Everyone was about half way done with cocktails when our lead waitress asked if we wanted a bottle of wine with dinner. I thought it was odd because we all had cocktails but nonetheless we politely declined and went on with our conversation. Before dinner arrived, my boyfriend did decide to order a glass of wine, to which the waitress again asked if he wanted a bottle. He politely declined saying it was only him drinking it. Then the waitress replies "you can always take it to go". Okay, first of all, take a hint. If we wanted a bottle of wine we would order one. My boyfriend AGAIN politely declined but of course now we're a little uncomfortable because why are you trying to get us to buy a bottle of wine we have shown no interest in? Anyways, we get our meals and all eat and love everything we get. The waitress comes back asking if we want dessert. We all agree to look and two of us get dessert cocktails and the other couple splits a dessert. So here we are, finishing a three course meal in which we purchased 2-3 drinks a person. At this point, three of us have about 1/8th of our drinks left. The dessert bowl is empty but still on the table along with all our glasses and the signed check just finishing up conversation/drinks before leaving. Our dinner, before tip, was about $450, which we then tipped 20% on. Maybe a small bill to some, but for us it was definitely more of a splurge meal. Suddenly, a manager approaches our table and asks how we liked everything. Pretty common and we reply everything was fabulous! He then proceeds to start telling us about all the other areas in the restaurant we can "hang out" and that's there are spots at the bar if we want to go there. He's clearly holding a tablet that's being subtly flashed at us as he's talking that shows the restaurant seating chart. Immediately, I'm thinking, am I crazy or is he telling us we need to leave? Once he departs, I ask the rest of the table and ALL of us agreed. It was so off putting and rude. One, we were clearly finishing up our time there. Two, we checked the time and it was 7:45. We hadn't even been there two hours yet ordered a three course meal and are being subtly kicked out? Absolutely absurd and so unprofessional. I understand restaurants have reservations and such, but spending that much money and literally being rushed when we were by no means overstaying our welcome considering the amount of food and spacing of time between courses. Overall so upsetting and really made me feel like we wasted our money. I've never been somewhere that has done this, and I've definitely been on the other side where our group has probably stayed past our welcome. So the fact we were enjoying a normal meal and were then being rushed out when our table hadn't even been bussed yet (which is usually a key sign to go) put such a bad taste in our mouths. I hope this can serve as feedback on how to better manage your reservations spacing and guest relations!

Yelp
Wonderful experience for brunch sitting at the bar. It was very quiet which I was surprised at, but we had a lovely experience, and delicious food. Bartender whose name escapes me at the moment has been there for quite a while. Knows his stuff not just how to make a drink, but the essence of hospitality. Bearded gent. It was amazing, including a special birthday dessert of tiramisu . What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Yelp
Incredibly beautiful restaurant! Impeccable service, knowledgeable and attentive. Food was excellent as were the cocktails! Looking forward to next time! Will have to try the bourbon tasting.

Yelp
1/2023 visit This place is hubby's favorite restaurant in St. Petersburg, we always come here during our visits. This time we started with the venison tartare as an app. For dinner I had the lamb chops med rare which were very tasty and hubby had the bison which was very delicious and juicy. The service is impeccable and you definitely need a reservation.

Yelp
Loved Urban Stillhouse! Finally was able to check it out and during the Christmas holiday, they decorated so festive! Had a great experience and the service was great. Everything we ordered was delicious. What I ordered: - Charcuterie board - Veal meatballs - Tomato tart tartine roasted chicken - Lamb chops - Saffron cavatelli - Chocolate mousse

Yelp
Come here and you won't be able to find a better waiter/waitress! The service here is always amazing and blows me away. The staff is very knowledgeable about everything on the food and drinks menu. They make good recommendations and always has an answer. The appetizers come out fast but the entrees always take a little more time preparing. I highly suggest the veal meatballs and spinach Gouda dip. Those are wow (amazingly delicious). The veal is so tender. The dip is so creamy. I wish we also got the octopus but we got the venison instead and I didn't eat any of that so I can't comment to it but everyone else at the table loved it. For my entree, I got the Coriander spiced chicken but I wish I got something else. The chicken was a bit dry and boring. My fiancé got the wagyu and it was so much more tender, juicy and flavorful. The entrees and sides are pretty expensive so be prepared for that. My friend got the lamb chops medium rare and she said it was phenomenal and the best lamb chop she has had. Overall, the food was good (I wouldn't get the chicken again) and the atmosphere was great. Service was too notch. Still one of the best restaurants I think.

Yelp
Sat at the bar for a nice dinner and it was a lovely experience. Bartender was friendly and service was good. Burrata appetizer was okay, I'd recommend trying something else next time. But, don't sleep on the Gouda fondue or the steak and mash. Delicious flavors. I'll be back soon to try brunch!

Yelp
Came here for my husband's birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint!! Sat at the bar on the second floor. They had awesome and fun cocktails: my husband got the "Groundskeeper" (Harry Potter butterbeer-inspired, with butterscotch whipped cream on top) and I got the "It's Corn!" cocktail with elote liquor and egg white to make it frothy. Not too sweet with a wonderful texture! We started with tempura fried delicata squash rings. We couldn't decide if they looked like donuts or onion rings, but either way they were amazing. We also started with bacon-wrapped dates with a balsamic glaze, always a favorite of ours, a mix of sweet and savory! The cheese inside was amazing, not too "stinky" but had a nice bite to go along with the sweetness of the date. For entrees, I got their massive scallops (biggest I've ever had, and cooked perfectly) with a chocolate wild boar ragout over spaghetti squash. Tasted as fantastic as it sounds. We split a side of the maple-glazed brussel sprouts, which were too delicious to be healthy probably, haha. My husband got a bone-in bison filet with a side of Vermont goat cheese and potato gratin, which was excellent. We ended with the sweet (literally and figuratively) complimentary birthday dessert: pineapple upside down cake. Overall a delicious meal!! Gorgeous restaurant with an industrial vibe and super nice staff. No wonder it's so hard to get a reservation!

Yelp
My husband and I went on a date here and it is a really nice date night spot! The decor and ambiance was wonderful. I highly recommend booking at least three weeks in advance because this place gets booked!!! However, as much as I would like to give this place 4 stars, I had to deduct because of the following: We had two waiters and the male waiter seemed very impatient as we took our time figuring out we wanted to order. I did not like being rushed. We both loved the appetizers: fried green tomatoes and pork belly. They were seasoned so well and I loved the flavor combo in the pork belly dish but our entrees were different experience... My husbands entree was as he would say "cool" It wasn't amazing and it wasn't bad. Maybe he could've gotten another dish and loved it... My fish was flavorful, but a little to strong with the basil. Unfortunately, my fish was undercooked and part of it was raw. I was dumbfounded by the waiters response which was "its big fish to cook". Yes, they remade it, but I had to wait for them to remake it and my husband was already done with his meal. I don't expect a place as nice as urban stillhouse to not cook a fish all the way because it's "too big" I've been to many upscale establishments before were if an error was made by the kitchen, the manager would come speak to our table and that did not happen at all. It spoke to the customer service there.

Yelp
Went here to celebrate my bfs bday & it was amazing! Got the whiskey flight & it was great. The server was very knowledgeable. The restaurant was so beautiful with the high ceilings & fireplace. The food was quick and delicious. Id definitely recommend the lamb! I'll 100% be back.

Yelp
The smoked cheese dip appetizer was TO DIE FOR. everything we ordered was great. Service was fast and efficient

Yelp
You pay for the ambiance. Enjoyed the holiday decor. Service was great. Learned a little history about the restaurant. We were checked on many times. Food portion size is ok. Dont expect to split a plate. The drinks were on point. Good flavor. Lots to choose from. Might go back. Parking was interesting. Not a lot of spaces or had to walk farther. Gift shop to your right when you enter. A lot of items to make great gifts.

Yelp
This place has top notch ambience, cozy, dark and relaxing. The women's bathroom is a bit dark to the point you can't see much in the back stall maybe some slightly better lighting. The gift shop offer a bunch of fun cocktail glasses, games, fun kitchen towels and of course Bourbon. We had ordered fried green tomatoes with fried pork belly- delicious! We had the osso bucco, and whole fried Hog fish. The fish was delicate and the fish sauce was delicious that goes with it. We had several a variety of cocktails and you can't go wrong. For dessert I had the coconut panna cotta with berries. The food was very lightly seasoned but delicious for my taste. It's definitely more of fine dining and the price and quality reflect it. The only mild complaint is we sat at the bar and it felt a very rushed there was basically zero time to enjoy a few sips of a cocktail before the appetizer came out. It felt very rushed. The bartender was on point but almost like we had to beat the clock. For the price tag, let your customers enjoy their food. Our second time and we will return. Make sure to make reservations.

Yelp
Very cool spot just off Central in downtown St Pete. The Sunday brunch was awesome, everyone in our group was very happy with the food. The service was attentive and perfect. They also welcomed us to look around the building and see the other rooms and areas. I had the Bison Filet, it was impressive, maybe the best Ive had anywhere (I have bison at Teds Montana Grill somewhat frequently and this was alot better). I highly recommend The Urban Stillhouse!!
