Nut allergy friendly: Everything I had was good! There aren't too many dishes with nuts, if at all. Maybe desserts. We walked over from Seattle Convention Center and showed up at 8:40PM on a Sunday with a group of 7 with no reservation and were seated relatively quickly at a long table that easily fit us. Enjoyed a drink on the all-day Sunday happy hour before the $9-after-9PM even better happy hour hit. I ordered a Truffle Burger (4.5/5) and tried my friend's French Dip (4.5/5). The late night menu is the same size as the standard (or so we were told). For $9, the value here is crazy. Maybe one of the best late-night (well, late-dinner really) options in the area. We did 3 orders of Happy Hour Fries and one order of calamari for the 7 of us. Quality here varied - the first two orders were okay, but the last one came out fresh, hot, and perfectly crispy. Maybe they turned the fryers back on just for us... Paid via inKind with only one minor issue (had to get some corrections because of the happy hour shift). Overall, stellar late night option for the value that I'd definitely return to after a long convention day.

We tried the Victory Burger, which was good and served on a brioche bun. The reason I’m taking off a star is the price. At $60 for two burgers and only one Diet Coke (20% service included), it felt a bit steep compared to similar spots. Good food, but something to keep in mind.

Google
A great restaurant for groups, solid menu and vibes. Great burger selection. Good brunch menu as well.

Google
Their prime rib means something to me. Prime rib is one of those dishes I don’t make for myself and have always treated myself to. I order from Victor Tavern because I get a consistent product. I lost my dog on NYE this year and no joke- the prime rib here was a morale booster for me and I actually left a portion for her to find while I scoured Queen Anne for her. I would like to think my pup ate it or smelled it and stayed in the area long enough for me to safely bring her home. Thank you Victor Tavern for making a great prime rib and being a place where I could get food that boosted my morale in the worst of times. <3 Feta

Google
The food could be better honestly. The mashed potato was a likkle salty, the steak needed more seasoning ngl but the cod and burger was perfect

Google
Breakfast was good, with a variety of choices. No gluten-free options, so you'll need to order around the bread. The orange juice is great! The reuben was acceptable but the fries were too salty. There's a single step down at one of the entrances, I feel like the building design could have been better there for accessibility.

Google
I thought it would be more of an ice cream sandwich but it’s more of an ice cream burger- this is what was left after eating just the ice cream. There’s a 20% automatic gratuity and you can tell because the servers don’t even try to act happy.

Kianna Lackman

Google
Truffle smash is the best burger you won’t be sad you got it. The staff is amazing. Damian made sure to accommodate all of my allergies. Would dine hear again.

Yelp
Dropped by the Victor on a soaking wet Saturday. The menu said it was brunchtime so I suggested the hash. Out came a mound of meat and potatoes. I screwed my head on straight with some coffee on the bar. I slipped in the bearnaise sauce and soaked up the rest on the way home.

Yelp
Went looking for a late dinner after watching "A Christmas Carol". Decided to try The Victor Tavern for their $9 after 9pm special, really an unheard of price in Seattle. We split the Phoenix and the Reuben. I like a lot of spice, the Phoenix wasn't spicy enough for me, but perfect for my partner. In simple terms it's probably just about the right amount of spice for most people. The corned beef on the Reuben was a little dry, but I'm chalking that up to arriving at 9:30pm. I should mention the sandwiches are ala cart, but unless you're trying to soak up a bunch of booze who really needs a big pile of fries that late in the evening. The facility has a great vibe, music at the appropriate volume and very friendly waitstaff. Now how about $35 out the door for 2 sandwiches and a beer?? From now on both times each year that I'm out after 9 o'clock I'm going here.

Yelp
I hate disparaging a business, but really felt this was an abnormal experience. Our waitress was bothered by our presence and looked agitated by our orders. We mentioned that our fries were a little soggy (not asking for a replacement) we were met with no eye contact the rest of the evening. I was then more taken aback that the waitress went and got a second server to follow her around as she refused to make eye contact with us and provide our check. Really hate to even have to be posting a review, as I work at Amazon and love the area, and I'm also sure that this is not a regular occurrence for their waiting staff. Just want folks to be aware that this is the type of service they will provide, and, on top of it all, you are forced into a 22% tip, regardless of your bill.... Just for sitting there... really frustrating experience. Wish the best to everyone else who decides to try this place

Yelp
We came into Victor Tavern early on a Friday night and were seated quickly. We ate off the happy hour menu, which was a great deal. When we were seated we were told gratuity was included, so we didn't need to add anything to else... I assumed this meant they were a no-tip restaurant, but they actually just tacked on an additional 22% hard-coded tip at the end. We got the Everything Pretzels, which were more like rolls. We shared the Rotisserie Chicken Caesar Salad which was decent. The victory burger was also decent. Overall, it was a fine experience.

Yelp
3.5 Stars Awesome, stylish interior. Menu is simple with bar fare - burgers and some tasty entrees. For food, tried - Spicy Calamari ($16) - was nice and very crispy, especially dipped in the aioli Prime Rib ($42 for 12 oz) - loved the fatty bits, the succulent pink part, and the herby exterior. The garlic mashed potatoes were also divine. BF & his brother said the drinks weren't good - one drink went unfinished even! Polite staff.

Yelp
Came for a drink after work with one other person. We both ordered two cocktails - watery ones and drive by service at the bar top. won't be back!

Yelp
A great place to eat downtown. Stopped by for lunch and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is clean and very stylish. The staff are friendly and attentive. The service throughout the meal was spot on. For the food, everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The Old Bay Prawns were seasoned well and tasted fresh. The steakhouse wedge was filling with perfectly cooked sliced steak and a rich blue cheese dressing. As far as drinks go, the spritz is a refreshing way to go. No complaints here.

Yelp
Happy hour is extended on Sundays. The hh prices make the visit worthwhile. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Heaping plate of fries are delicious although a little heavy handed with the salt.

Yelp
I had a great time here last night. The Phoenix chicken sandwhich was excellent. Very crispy and the pickles were good. It came with a big side of fries that were on the salty side. Their service was excellent and very friendly. Inside was modern. It is a bit of a strange location. It shares the space with the huge lobby of the apartment building that it sits under, but on the quiet Sunday evening that I was there it did not seem to be an issue. Happy hour goes from 3 to close on Sundays and I would recommend anyone in the area stop by here.

Yelp
Food and drinks were decent. My partner got the Bleu burger off of the $9 after 9pm menu and liked it. I had fries. They were both good, but not anything outstanding. I tried the NA apple cinnamon shrub and it was not great - it tasted very strongly like I was just drinking apple cider vinegar on the rocks. The bartender offered to make me something else and said it was very acidic and vinegary, but I just preferred water at that point. My partner had the Vic's Kentucky coffee and he said it was alright as well. Overall, the food was decent and the drinks were mixed results. Service - the servers were attentive and helpful and I really appreciated the offer to make me something else when she noticed I didn't seem to like it. 5/5 stars for service. Ambiance - it was a cool little spot. It seems to be in a building with an apartment complex above and several other shops and restaurants elsewhere in the building. We sat at the bar and it was a clean, classy, and modern spot across from the spheres. I'd maybe come back for a beer or happy hour but overall it was all just fine and nothing that knocked my socks off.

Yelp
At the suggestion of my hotel staff, my wife and I went to The Victor Tavern for a light dinner. What a delightful restaurant located just a short walk from our hotel, StayPineapple. We went inside, but it was a little to loud for me and without hesitation they sat us outside. they have a very attentive and friendly staff here. They clearly work together as a team. We ordered lot of finger food and light eating. - Calamari - nice spiced calamari with a crispy breading and tender calamari. - Smoked wings - something new for me. Nice tasting wing with a good crunch and tender meat. - French dip sliders - Extremely tasty and lean meat on a delicious bun This, like other establishments our hotel staff gave us were all winners. There was a lot of electricity in the air (even outside as it filled up quickly.) Kudos to the team at The Victor Cafe.

Yelp
We stopped in for a drink before dinner and were pleasantly surprised to find a happy hour at 6:30pm on a Saturday. The drinks were great and service was too. I'd like to come back and have dinner. They have a nice space with lots of seating options.
google avatar

Yelp
We were seated very quickly even without reservations. So reservations are recommended even in a Monday night. We ordered the French Dip and the Blue Burger. Both were extremely tasty. Fries were also well salted and crispy. I had a side salad instead of fries and it was really big and very creative. Loved this place. Even though it was very full we could still hear ourselves talk which is quite important in my opinion.
google avatar

Brooke K.

Yelp
Ordered the truffle burger which was incredible. Waiter had no problem dividing tab into 4 separate checks which is always great! We enjoyed the outdoor seating near the street. Extremely fast service and had 2-3 different waiters/waitresses taking care of us. Also great location! Enjoyed our view of the Spheres.

Yelp
I saw an advertised pretzels for 9.00. I was excited to goto HH but they don't honor their online prices. There is no fine print, no exclusions. So, I was charged 12.00. The pretzels were good but I went in for HH reduced prices
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
We came in here minutes after happy hour (that was our bad). While we would have loved the happy hour prices, we did enjoy our time, cocktails and food here. For my cocktail, I ordered the Costa Chica. This was so good! This cocktail was bold, lime-y and smoky without being too sweet. I loved the balance and would get this again. We split the Spicy calamari and The Phoenix. The spicy calamari packed a nice heat to them, and the aeoli they were served with was excellent. They even fried some peppers to go with it. They were crunchy and tangy, and I would recommend. The Phoenix sandwich was amazing. Who doesn't love fried chicken? This was spicy and very satisfying. Our choices had nice spice and kick to them, and we loved the ambiance. It was nice to get a break from the hustle of downtown Seattle with the spacious seating, tasteful decor and low lighting.

Mike C.

Yelp
Great place for good wine and cocktails after work. Consistent high quality service and reasonable prices. I will be back!

Yelp
We went for bottomless brunch and the bogo entree deal...to note: bottomless mimosas is not actually bottomless- the limit is four. But it's ok because they fill them very generously. As an ESR restaurant the food was pretty mediocre. I got the phoenix and it was so overcooked I couldn't taste the chicken. Polenta fries are pretty good- maybe 3.5/5 stars One thing of note is that apparently things from the level above drop and so we found glass shards all over our table and floor and the staff didn't notice it upon opening. They were really great about moving us but just as a warning that this is apparently a problem for this restaurant. (This review did not reflect the glass-- the food was just that bad)
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
I got the French Dip sandwich with side Caesar and the truffle mac & cheese. Everything tasted like it had been reheated or left for an hour under a broiler lamp rather than fresh. The au jus was cold and I had to ask for it to be heated. The bar and restaurant was mainly empty on a Friday evening at 8 so I guess that was a sign - there was no ambiance. The service was really great and friendly but I'd expect a lot better food for those prices.

Benjamin B.

Yelp
Given the number of 5 star reviews, we were terribly disappointed. We ordered the spicy calamari, Mac and cheese, slow roasted prime rib, kids cheeseburger, and apple crisp. Everything was bland and underwhelming. We got takeout so can't comment much on the service other to say the staff was friendly. Picked up the order around 8pm on a Monday night and there was a single table seated so not really any ambiance.
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
I've dined here a lot, mostly for brunch on the weekends. The food has changed over the past year with a little smaller portions, which would be fine, except the quality has gone down a bit as well. However, it's still worthy of 4 stars, just not five anymore. The pancakes great and the thick sliced bacon tasty too. The burger is also yummy.
google avatar

Victoria K.

Yelp
My friend brought me here for brunch, and I thought it was cute! Not too busy when we got in on a Sunday at 10:30am. There were plenty of windows and it was nice and bright. I got the Victor Brunch, which came with a lot of stuff. Tons of potatoes, good amount of toast, and two eggs. The toast came with this raspberry or wildberry jam I think(?) which was delicious. Loved. Usually I have to season potatoes (which I'm fine with since I don't like them too salty), but Victor actually had them already seasoned AND not too salty. Minor thing, but I had asked for over medium eggs, and these were definitely over easy. Nevertheless I still enjoyed them.
google avatar

Cortni W.

Yelp
We stopped in by pure chance and spontaneity but I cannot be more impressed. The dishes were inventive and all hit the mark. Service was great and they allowed substitutions on the happy hour menu. Ambiance is classy with sports on TV. It would be dangerous to my budget if this place was closer to home; if it was I might become a regular.

Nguyen L.

Yelp
4/10 - Drinks are very mild. Got an old fashion that was sweet, minimal alcohol. 8/10 - Food was good 6/10- Service not very attentive Auto 20% service charge included with a party of 2 Burger, cocktail, beer was $65 total. Do what you will with the info.
google avatar

RJ L.

Yelp
Came here with a work group of 7. Over the experience was good but nothing over the top exciting. Everyone said food was "fine" Food highlights are really in their small plates. My favorites are the olives, Brussel sprouts and the polenta fries. The table enjoyed the pretzel bites and wings. One slight miss is that someone at the table ordered a burger with a gluten free bun and a ceaser salad. When the salad came it was loaded with croutons. Waitstaff was ok but for a part of a large group they didn't come over much.
google avatar

Nikita S.

Yelp
Ambience (3/5) - Plenty of seating with wooden tables and chairs! Food - Polenta Fries (0/5) - Worst version of fries I have ever eaten! It was sweet and pathetic Pale Ale (3/5) - Beer was average, I don't think I might go again

Yelp
How I heard of this place: Friends of ours had some surprise gift envelopes from a previous dining experience and invited us out for burgers at a family friendly establishment. Type of cuisine: "The Victor Tavern is a modern urban tavern from Chef Ethan Stowell and is the perfect spot for a burger and a beer after work or for cocktails and dinner with friends while out on the town. Located across 6th avenue from the Amazon Spheres, The Victor features a spacious dining room, bar, open air patio, and gaming mezzanine with televisions, pool, and shuffleboard. We look forward to seeing you soon! Offering Vegetarian Options, Burgers, Takeout, Happy Hour, Outdoor Seating, Kid's Menu" Ambiance: Large and corporate, the perfect setting for SLU's plethora of Amazon and other tech employees. Set on the ground floor of an apartment building, the fancy amenities are immediately spotted upon entry. Tall ceilings, a dark setting, a sitting area that stretches back at least half a block, and which feeds into the lobby of the apartments above. What I ordered: Fried Castelvetrano Olives ($6) - panko breaded, served with their pits; Smoky Tavern Wings ($12) - hot sauce, carrot, celery, blue cheese dip; Rotisserie Chicken Caesar Salad ($12) - torn croutons, anchovy dressing, parmesan; Victory Burger ($14) - beef patty, lettuce, onion, sweet pickle, american cheese, secret sauce, served with fries; Veg Head ($14) - beyond burger, avocado, lettuce, tomato, hot peppers, onion, secret sauce, aged cheddar, served with fries. Shirley Temples all around and our free dessert: S'Mores Sundae ($13) - chocolate brownie, chocolate ice cream, toasted marshmallow. What I loved: The fried olives were a surprising hit! The freshness of the Caesar dressing added a kick to the salad, and the fries were crisped and good. Why I loved it: Free dessert can't be beat! And our server had the most friendly, genuine, sweet, gentlr smile I've ever seen! Cost: Average to high

Yelp
We had dinner reservations. Overall, the service was extremely slow. It took at least 20 minutes for someone to take our order and then over 45 minutes for our food to come out. We split the Everything Pretzel Bites and the Polenta Fries. The pretzel bites were good, but the Polenta Fries were not. I ordered the Smoky Tavern Wings for my meal, and they were good.
google avatar

Maggie W.

Yelp
Across from the Amazon Spheres, the Victor is a great burger stop. We had salads and fries and were very impressed. The salad was amazing and the fries were hot and delicious. Our server was really great, the place was busy but we didn't feel rushed or clustered. There's an upper dining area and a nice sized bar, the decor is spot on.
google avatar

Clarice K.

Yelp
Had dinner tonight at The Victory Tavern, it was fabulous. Both my husband and I had the prime rib. Our dinner was cooked perfectly and the service was excellent. If we are ever back in Seattle we will definitely return.
google avatar

Yelp
Victor has a trendy look and is a decent place in Seattle to grab a burger however if you're looking to get a quality cocktail or salad, I would recommend going elsewhere. My side salad was extremely bland and the cocktail left me with a bitter aftertaste. If you come here I'd stick with drinking water. 2 stars for the burger which was flavorful and overall good service from the waitstaff but I have no desire to return here.

Yelp
I had been by this place a million times. As a matter of fact, I had taken a foodie tour of South Lake Union, and one of the stops was a place that makes bagels fresh every day. This restaurant shares a space with that place. Let me first say how much I enjoyed the use of space. While The Victor Tavern sits on the ground floor of a new construction apartment building. It somehow has hints of reclaimed materials. Not all of it, but some parts of it look old. To be honest, this is just a glorified sports bar. A place for people who want to watch a game but not have to deal with truly drunken assholes while doing it. That's not a bad thing. The seating is comfortable and thoughtfully arranged, and the staff is friendly. The MAIN issue I had with the place was its lackluster selection of craft beers. There was NOTHING available higher than a 6.8% ABV. I don't know if I just had bad timing or if that's by design. However, if you intend to compete with places like THE YARD HOUSE, you have GOT to step your game up. My martini was excellent, and the spicy calamari I had was light on spice was still good. The double-decker burger I had was so huge I couldn't finish it, and I'm still feeling it today. All in all, if you are in the area and you want to catch a game, this is not a bad place. Just be prepared to be disappointed in the beer menu.
google avatar

Kristen L.

Yelp
Excellent spot for happy hour. This is where Tanaka San used to be. We ordered the burger and fried chicken sandwich. Each dish came with a very generous portion of hot fries. We were full for the rest of the night! While nothing we ate was unique, it was all tasty, and given the price, I'd give this place 5 stars for the value.
google avatar

Ryan J.

Yelp
Came here after having some food downstairs. We came early, can't fault them. The upstairs where they're located has lots of seating and a couple pool tables. The bathrooms are right there too (code required). Cleaning staff was tidying up the area and only a couple other patrons were there studying on their computers. Looks like a nice place to hang out on lunch or after work.
google avatar

Alyssa P.

Yelp
Honestly, I wasn't totally impressed with this place. The ambiance seemed chill, the food was adequate, but the service was not the greatest. A 22% service charge was automatically added to our bill, so I felt our waitress was being less attentive and dismissive. That being my first experience there was unfortunate, but I would like to go back and see how happy hour is.
google avatar

Kyle W.

Yelp
This is a burger place in the Ethan Stowell Restaurant Group. I am generally a fan of the Ethan Stowell restaurants for the most part - they excel in a semi-formal restaurant setting and particularly offers good, decently affordable Italian dishes. They should probably just stick with that and not expand to other aspects. The food here is honestly mid at best and pricing is still in line with the more fancy restaurants in the restaurant group. I went here for happy hour as, like the other restaurants in this group, some of the food is a few dollars or more cheaper. I got the polenta fries, Victory burger with side salad, and agave sour. Polenta fries were great in texture, though the sauce could be a bit stronger. The burger is decent but overpriced - the patty is juicy, and the secret sauce is similar to Thousand Island dressing. The pickles were actually sweet which was nice. Honestly, I would just wait and pay a fraction of the price at In-N-Out for something quite similar. Agave sour cocktail says there is egg white but barely. I don't see the foam on top, and it wasn't that tangy. It tasted a little watered down. This meal was close to $50 after tax and tip, even for happy hour prices. I would've expected much higher quality and setting if I am paying these prices. At least service is somewhat decent as they check up on you and are prompt.

Yelp
Nice little bistro/tavern an easy walk from the Westin. Indoor or outdoor seating. I appreciate that they have a beyond burger.

Yelp
Grilled Chicken Sandwich (9/10): The grilled chicken sandwich was super flavorful and filling as well. The fries were great. It gets a little messy with the sandwich so I'd be careful Overall (9/10): I feel like I need to try more food from here to give it a 10/10 and 5 stars. One of my clients at Amazon suggested this place, and it's like a high end tavern so definitely not divey like I'd expect a tavern to be. I'm going to go again foresure to try more of the food and drinks and as well! If you're near the spheres in Seattle I'd suggest trying this place for a nice little bite

Jason B.

Yelp
Weirdly unfriendly staff. As if they were trying to say as few words as possible. No hello... no thank you... no response after order placed of any kind. Multiple people - same thing. Odd and awkward. Sorry to bother you, team.
google avatar

Tazeen L.

Yelp
Great happy hour spot next to the spheres with solid snacks and good service. We dropped by on a Friday during their daily HH from 4-6pm. Snacks included calamari, polenta fries, wings and fries- would reorder any if them. The only skip was the beef tartare, too much sauce that messed with the texture. Great friendly service at the bar and overall good vibe.
google avatar

Nikki Q.

Yelp
Vibe is great here for late night snacks. Food menu has variety of things. We chose calamari and chop salad and blue cheese burger to share. Yummy Service is attentive by our server. Fun place to hang out with the locals as we are only visiting.

Gail P.

Yelp
The Victor Tavern has a great atmosphere and open air dining! The food on trays were all delicious and the salads substantial! Would definitely revisit the Tavern when we're back in Seattle.

Lea G.

Yelp
Fish was really good and the fried olives yum!!! Would definitely go back and try other options

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Customer service was fantastic! We got a super friendly waiter that helped us with menu questions. We came for brunch and entrees were bogo! The vibes were nice, music is nice and not too loud. We would definitely come back here for dinner.

Yelp
Really delicious brunch, we had the vanilla-malted pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream and prime rib eggs benedict, both were amazing. The strawberries are in the pancakes which I appreciated, as a lot of the PNW does compote on top. The whipped cream was decadent and I dipped every bite of pancake in it. It came with a side of 2 big slabs of thick bacon and a sausage. I wish the bacon was a bit less crispy, but it was so thick they probably tried to cook it through. The prime rib eggs benedict had a generous portion of beef on each english muffin and the hollandaise was rich and creamy. It came with a big pile of smashed breakfast potatoes that were pretty good. Cafe Vita coffee was lovely and the Bloody Mary was a bit small but good. Service was attentive and friendly. The space is in an apt building and lacked personality, but the light was nice by the big window. I've eaten a lot of brunch in Seattle and this was a bit pricey, but definitely worth it, I'll be back!

Yelp
Great spot for brunch on a sunny day... Between the four of us, we had the Victor Breakfast, the pancakes with maple syrup, the eggs bendict with salmon, eggs and hollandaise, and the Breakfast Bowl. Oh, and a cinnamon roll ... how could I forget the star of the meal? We all liked our food, except for the one who had the Victor Breakfast... eggs came scrambled instead of fried, and the bacon was a bit over cooked. He and I were excited about the zatar potatoes, yet a bit disappointed that their flavor was so light. Thank you to this restaurant for promoting the ESR Club. We've eaten at the other Ethan Stowell restaurants in the past two weeks, and none of them had any indication of the ESR Club.

Yelp
I've walked by this spot so many times during the past year, so I was so excited to see it finally opened recently! I had to check it out for a promotion celebration and it did not disappoint; the servers left a congratulatory note on the table and provided complimentary bubbles for the occasion! Aside from the celebration, the service was phenomenal and food was super tasty. The menu isn't too diverse, but you won't be disappointed with what you choose. We each got burgers on happy hour and they were perfectly priced, cooked, and sized. The space is also on-point with tables for large parties, outdoor heaters, and big screen TVs - Victor Tavern has it all. Great new spot in Belltown! I'm looking forward to coming back!
