The Villa Casa Casuarina At The Former Versace Mansion

The hotel is spectacularly gorgeous and the room was extraordinarily beautiful. The swimming pool is breathtaking. This is the former Giannii Versace mansion in South Beach. Bathroom was similarly beautiful.|BUT it is really more of a restaurant and club than a hotel. Noisy at night with techno music when we were there Lots of activity. The pool is served by only four lounge chairs and is the backdrop for the restaurant, which gets quite busy. No one was in the water. But gorgeous|I do recommend the restaurant (lunch, dinner) but the hotel aspect was secondary.

Our stay at the former Versace Mansion was absolutely exceptional — a true 10/10 experience from beginning to end.||The restaurant is outstanding, with one of the most beautiful atmospheres we’ve ever experienced. The food is incredible. We stayed for a week and enjoyed breakfast there every morning, where Gabriel took such wonderful care of us. He was kind, welcoming, and attentive, making every morning special. We also dined at the restaurant for lunch and dinner about four times, trying a variety of dishes, every single one was delicious. The staff was always happy to accommodate us and consistently seated us at our preferred table.||We began our stay in the Amore Suite, which was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. We were lucky enough to move into the Empire Suite, thanks to Talia at the front desk, who truly made our stay unforgettable. She went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed, making us feel genuinely welcome and at home. She is truly one in a million.||All of the staff were exceptional, including the bellman and the other front desk team member. Everyone was warm, professional, and attentive.||The Empire Suite is absolutely breathtaking — our jaws dropped the moment we walked in. The architecture of this hotel is unmatched. We explored the entire property and highly recommend visiting the observatory and the other wing of the hotel where the Medallion Suite is located.||Spending mornings by the pool was such a peaceful and beautiful experience. The pool is warm, serene, and absolutely perfect.||We felt completely at home during our stay and cannot wait to return. We would recommend Villa Casa Casuarina to anyone — it is truly an experience everyone should have at least once in their lifetime.

I booked the Versace Mansion for my birthday lunch, expecting a luxury dining experience that matched the name and the setting. Let me start with the positives—because there are a few. The aesthetic is absolutely stunning. If you’re there for photos, atmosphere, and the bragging rights of saying you went, it delivers visually. The drinks are phenomenal. I ordered the 24-karat gold margarita, and it was genuinely excellent. Whoever is behind that bar knows exactly what they’re doing. The appetizers were also on point: the shrimp was flavorful and well prepared, and the bruschetta was enjoyable. Unfortunately, everything fell apart with the entrée. I paid the upcharge for a 6-ounce filet, ordered medium rare. What arrived was shockingly bad. There was absolutely no seasoning—none. The cut tasted old or extremely poor in quality. I had to pull the steak apart while cutting it with a steak knife, which is completely unacceptable. A good filet should never need sauce, but I tried their house sauce anyway, hoping it might save it. It didn’t. It tasted like reheated, leftover sauce with zero depth or flavor. Honestly, if given the choice between this steak and an Applebee’s 2-for-$25 dinner, I would choose Applebee’s without hesitation. To make matters worse, when my plate was being cleared, I said I was still finishing my asparagus, and the server proceeded to take it anyway. I was hoping dessert would redeem the experience. The brownie presentation was flawless—beautiful plating, gold flakes, and the chocolate mousse was delicious. But the brownie itself was extremely dry. At that point, a flourless ganache would have been a far better choice. We spoke with the table next to us, who had ordered entirely different entrées, and they echoed the same disappointment. Their fish dish was laughable—a single carrot was larger than the portion of fish, and it had no flavor. The ravioli they ordered arrived cold. Both tables agreed on the same conclusion: the appetizers were lovely, the drinks were outstanding, and the entrées were terrible. This is not a restaurant I would return to for food. It’s a place you go for pictures, the name, and maybe to sit at the bar for cocktails. For an actual luxury dining experience worthy of the Versace brand, this misses the mark completely. If the food is meant to represent the brand, it feels more like TJ Maxx clearance than high fashion. Save your money. Come for a drink, take your photos, and eat somewhere else.

This is an expensive place for a unique experience. Large suites with over the top decor. A beautiful restaurant with above average cuisine. Friendly and helpful staff. ||Unfortunately our experience was marred by loud music from the restaurant and from the lobby until 10:30 to 11:00 PM. It was supposed to stop at 10:30, but one night it continued until after 11:00. It took two calls to the front desk to get music stopped. Because this we would not return.

Design and decor of room (Venus suite) was very nice, unique and location was great but that's pretty much where it ends. Service at the hotel overall was mediocre and not 5 stars as staff were not attentive nor genuine. We stayed for 3 nights but on check in, found dirty bloodied bedsheets and musky wardrobes. The room was not very well maintained as with old furniture, they should be aired regularly but not here. Having paid about $1000 a night, dirty bedsheet is a big NO and we had to wait for half an hour in the room at 11pm for the sheets to be changed. The hotel is constantly filled with tourists and people trying to take pictures and every single time we come back we are being stopped and asked if we have a table reservation. Staff need to be educated that they need to show more interests in hotel guests if this is sold as a 5 stars property. It should not just be reliant on the bar and restaurant service. This hotel should at best just be 4 stars even if everything was expected due to poor maintenance of a great property. 1 star was taken off for mediocre service and unfortunate incident of dirty sheets! Our stay at the Versace Mansion was amazing from start to finish. The setting is breathtaking and filled with character, and every corner feels like a work of art. The restaurant was exceptional, and we were seated by the pool for dinner with a wonderful view that made the evening feel even more special. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The staff went above and beyond, especially helping carry our bags up and down from the room, which made everything feel effortless. Staying here felt both luxurious and welcoming, and I can’t wait to return.

We stayed at Casa Casuarina aka Versace Mansion for four nights! The staff is the epitome of great service. Pino, Maria & Talia were friendly and so helpful throughout our 4 night stay at the villa. They treated not just us but all there guests with so much grace & love. And a big thank you to our wonderful Traveling Agency TWF (Travel With Flair) for suggesting and booking this magnificent masterpiece to visit! We will definitely be coming back!

If it’s your first time in Miami Beach, this place is definitely worth a visit for the experience. The former Versace mansion is absolutely stunning from an architectural point of view. Quite pricey compared to other restaurants along Ocean Drive, and the menu isn’t particularly special. The waiters were fine, and our server, Joaquín was very kind and attentive. They do have a $39.99 menu that includes an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert — basically the chef’s recommendation — and I’d say it’s the best option. If you order just one dish, you’ll end up spending about the same, so it’s nicer to enjoy the full experience with multiple courses and make the most of your lunch or dinner there. Unfortunately, our experience with the hostess at the entrance, Autina? was disappointing. She was rather rude and acted with a sense of superiority. It also seemed that she assumed we weren’t Americans based on our accent, and her attitude changed because of that — which left a bitter taste. Considering there’s a mandatory 20% service charge plus around 9% in local taxes, I would expect the staff to behave impeccably and offer a warm, welcoming experience. Overall, it’s a place you should try at least once if you’re visiting South Beach for the first time — it’s iconic, touristy, and very busy. The food isn’t top-notch, but it’s good. Come for the atmosphere and the history, not necessarily for the dining experience.

Replacement Hotel Management!!!!! Someone help this property! Don't stay here! Beware We did not receive the services or amenities they presented. When we first arrived at the Casa Villa we were stopped with our luggage at the gate accosted as though we were vagrants coming in ofc the street. It wasn't until we were greeted at the door by the concierge that they left us alone. After being checked in as VIPs, they escorted us to our room never offering to carry our luggage. After we walked through the dining area carrying our bags I almost fell going up the spiral stair case to our room. The room was located right above the kitchen and part of the main dining room, it was very loud and as soon as you walked in you could feel the heat settling in the air. My spouse turned the air conditioner down to 69 in the hopes that it would cool the interior while we stepped out for an day of shopping. After an day spent out in the Miami sun we came back to our room to find our luggage moved and the room still rather uncomfortably hot. My spouse decided to cool off in the jetted tub, which we found the jets did not work. We called to the front desk and asked if we could speak with someone about the air. The girl at the front desk informed us that they would be sending someone up to look at our air conditioner. They sent a kind gentleman that did not speak or understand English (not a problem except we couldn't explain to him what was going on). Finally after 30 minutes of gestures and Spanglish he left smiling. We called back down to the front desk and let her know the issue was still not resolved and asked to please speak with a manager. She informed us the manager was out of country for vacation and no one there to help. They sent another person that could speak Spanish. After about 20 minutes the gentleman and another young lady came to look at the problem. While on the phone with someone who insisted the tub didn't have jets even though we were all looking at them and that the air conditioning in the room couldn't keep up with temperature outside. The young lady told us that if we could close off the bathroom to possibly cool the room however we spent over 900 on the room we were put in and felt the issues should be resolved. The gentleman gestured to some kind of temperature gage he had held directly over the air vent showing the output was 69 degrees even though the thermostat read 83 degrees in the room. We were at this point running behind on our reservation for dinner at the hotel restaurant by the famous Versace Pool. So we called the front desk yet again and let her know what was going on and that it still wasn't cooling. After an exceptional dinner with fantastic service, the manager at the restaurant had done a great job. We stepped out for cocktails at some local bars and when we came back we arrived to a stifling room thermostat and air reading and feeling 82 degrees. My spouse yet again now went down to the front desk and asked to speak with the manager again who was still not available. At this point the girl at the front came with my spouse and some assistant to escort us to another suite of rooms. Yet again. We carried our luggage through the crowded dining room up three flights of stairs to another room. The lady told my husband she was surprised that we were staying in that room that we were originally in. She said we always have problems with the air on hot days. As soon as we opened the doors to the new room we were greeted by fresh cool air. We thanked the girl from the front and set our luggage down and settled into our room at 11pm at night. Why did it take this long to get moved to a different room or why was we put in the room with the horrible AC? Also why is no one in charge to help me??? After a long day of unbearable heat from both the Miami streets and the sauna they called "the mosaic room". We decided to watch some tv however the tv in the new room was not working. At this point is was to late in the evening to concern ourselves with that issue we chose to just sleep. After waking early we went down to the dining area to have our breakfast. We were served very well and informed if we would like to swim the pool was ready for us. We quickly changed and went down to the famous pool. It was disgusting to say the least after getting in we were greeted by a rubber glove floating around, a copious amount of bird feathers, human hair and a complementary menu from the restaurant. The pool was more like swimming in a decorative fountain.

The Villa Casa Casuarina room and service was amazing. We stayed for three nights in the medallion room. Beautiful room, amazing staff. We walked up to the Villa early about 2pm and a guy ran up to us to take our oversized luggage. We were checked in early and quickly escorted to our room. During our stay we had dinner there which was great, waiter Pedro gave great dinne service. You get free breakfast every morning, and these aren't just continental breakfasts, I'm talking steak and eggs, eggs Florentine, French toast, sausage, bacon, fruit platters..the list goes on. As a guest of the Villa you can get in the pool or sit poolside on their lounge chairs, until 5pm, whilst lunch patrons can't. We had so many severs treat us so well throughout and everyone remembered us. I will be going back at least once a year for a great and memorable vacation ..

The most outstandingly beautiful experience I've enjoyed for some time, dining @giannisatthevilla! Sitting off the corner of the pool, we were perfectly positioned to view all the well-dressed, high-heeled patrons enjoyed what for us became the most delicious, visually appealing meal!! Our entire dining experience would not have been complete without the outstanding service and conversation from our server, Ruben @tintin33chino! Hope to visit again soon!

The Villa is GORGEOUS. Exactly what the photos look like. I highly recommend a reservation at Gianni's. Otherwise, you won't be able to experience the beauty much. A lot of the Villa is closed off to patrons unless you're a staying guest or a dining guest.

I was hoping to be writing a thank you note and a 5 star review but instead have to make others aware of possible fraud. Long story short 2 weeks ago my wife and I were at the mansion celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and bday. Following nice time and meal and overall stay in Florida we got back to our home state and today we received out credit card statement. To our huge surprise we have been charged for our dinner which is of course fine but then found another separate transaction in the amount of 1150.00 dollars. In process of disputing these fraudulent charges with restaurant. Will never go back. So be aware and check your statements.

Review from a local: I could write something really long but I'll summarize it to my best without going on and on. *tourist trap: it's beautiful but it's nothing special. Food was nothing special, service was nothing special NOR fine dining by no means. For the vacationers I was with they were sweating as there is no a/c it pretty much all open doors, open Terrance and hot. It's Florida.... The A/c they did have the vents were dripping on our table and nobody seemed to care. They did not come to check on our table, did not cleared our table before serving us more food or offer to move our table. $790 for 8 people and I have nothing really nice to say other than it was beautiful. I being a local expected much more but now am thankful for the experience to not come back. HUGE TIP: do not sit by the pool, everyone crowds there for their photos and you are sitting in a crowd of people.

Really disappointing. Would recommend for lunch. Don't bother with staying at the hotel or high expectations for dinner. Hotel management was super rude and service was awful. I have a shellfish allergy and they literally told me I could not eat any of the pasta because it's cooked "the Italian way" using the same water for all of the pasta all night. Apparently they could not boil a pot of water? They messed up several other items at our meal, our room was 62 degrees with no way to adjust it other than open the windows and wait, and regardless of the $1500 room charge, they came and asked us to leave at 5 minutes after checkout time. So bummed as this was to be a special treat for one of our family members. Save your money, stay at the Ritz and go there for a drink.

If you make a reservation you're good. It might still take a few minutes to be seated but ehhh. This is my second time coming to Versace mansion. I've booked reservations both times and had to wait 30 mins to be seated. The food was good, the service was fast; however, it felt like our waitress was being "fake nice" and rushing us. She would come by Bach go back to the point where it felt like I was being pressured, so I would say "I'm taking my time and enjoying." The food was delicious and drinks were good. The price was reasonable, but more on the high end. It is Versace mansion so to expect... but again the food was delicious! The portions are fairly small. The wine and cocktail list is long, but overpriced (like most places). There's multiple bars you can hangout around while waiting for your seat. The desert was delicious!

RESTURANT - Gianni's! Versace is only just the name. Don't expect that your dining experience will be resemble the Versace aesthetic. Interior does not reflect on the Versace style. Pictures on the internet, the pool is very well lit up with colorful lights- that's not the case in reality.Traveling 3k+ miles...upon arrival I was unimpressed, but didn't let that get in my head .Dining "experience" starts with the unpleasant hostess expressing to me that my table will be given away to another party (during my reservation time) if the last 2 people will be late. My reservation was at 6:45, the other 2 guests came at 6:50 ... 5 minutes late. Upscale restaurants do have a 15 minute grace period for a table. Came to restaurant 15 minutes before reserved time-expected a table to be already waiting for us. The 2 other guests came at 6:50 and the hostess tells me that she had gave away my table and now we will have to wait until another table is done for us but she cannot tell me what time we will be seated. You make a reservation and if at that EXACT time everyone in the party isn't there...your table will be given away without second thought. After going back and forth with her, she lead us to a table. I could sense the hostess had an attitude towards me for asking her a couple of questions. Hostess's lack of knowledge about the restaurant's floor defects/ issues , ended up with me falling and scraping my forearm. Little to no remorse or a simple "are you okay" was yet to come from the hostess who proceeded to look back and ignore the fact that a guest had slipped. No matter injury big or small, a warning to all guests should've been addressed if there's a caution to watch out for. Addressed to hostess that she should've informed me there was a defect in the floor, hostess proceeded to ignore me. Hostess led my group to a secluded table in the back of the restaurant , I'm assuming as an act to show her pettiness. Slapping menus onto each plate, she had given a table to us with the expression on her face as in "here's a table,shut up". Table completely lacked a luxury dining feeling, stained tablecloth and had an appearance as it's not been cleaned off from previous party. Once more,expressed my concerns to why the other party was seated at MY table and now we got sat in a room completely away from the restaurant scene. Hostess rolled eyes and said she will get the manager for us. Well in my opinion, a manager of a "high quality" restaurant should be able to address and resolve my concerns in a manner way. WRONG! Manager (baldy man) had came up to our table and began talking in an audacious manner to the men in my group basically stating "if you don't like this table, you can go outside and continue waiting ". Ok.... So reservation initially was at 6:45... now it was 7:30ish. They wanted me to wait more???? 45+ minutes just to be seated? Leaving us with no option but to wait more OR be seated completely away from the resturant. We didn't come to Versace to sit at in an empty room facing a corner. At the end,(after once more waiting) manager was able to figure out a way to seat us outside which was appreciated but the tone in which everything was being handled was extremely unprofessional. All about the service made it seem as I was just a pain (in you know where) and their whole purpose was for me just to leave. Manager had left me with a General Liability Incident Report to fill out. He had interrupted my dinner and was waiting for me to fill it out. I had told him " I'm sorry... I'm not filling out an entire report in the middle of my dinner!" At the end of the dinner, the manager was waiting for me by the door and proceeded to snatch the paper out of my hands , raising his voice at me saying that's his paper. That's not your paper nor your property! If anything, it is my paper and property just as it's yours since it's involving myself. As a customer, I am OBLIGATED to have a moment to read what I am signing and filling out. During dinner with loved ones , is most certain not an appropriate time at all. I'm not at a business meeting to be filling out paperwork at the table. Completely out of etiquette! I was totally willing to fill out the document and mail it back. Manager did not let me even have a copy of the "document". Again, I understand he wants to cover himself but he crossed the radar at this point. Food mediocre- lacks presentation (pasta was slapped onto the plate- kind of like at your elementary school cafeteria) Food barely reaching a 5/10. Be advised if you come here, prepare to fully keep your mouth closed and nod your head to everything , if you'd like good service. Say a word and they will ON PURPOSE throw attitude to any concern you shall have

My friends really wanted to visit the mansion and try the food while we were visiting Miami. We made sure to make reservations at least a month in advice which they do not seat us until the whole party was present. As expected, this was a tourist experience. The appetizers were mediocre requiring us to ask for balsamic for the burrata and tomato plate. The sea bass was dry and small. I enjoyed the shrimp and and lobster but the pasta was definitely subpar. If you're looking to update your social media page with a pretty picture, then this is a place to be. However, do not expect the food to knock you out of the park. I would not come back since I experienced it once already.

The atmosphere is beautiful and amazing for taking pictures. I would absolutely NEVER recommend the food. The food was horrible. The lemon drops were decent. Recommend 10/10 for PICTURES ONLY

What a joy to have stayed here. My husband and I stayed in the Mosaic room for 3 nights. That was plenty to explore the area, eat and indulge. Upon arrival once you get past the initial gatekeepers you are given a room key and your luggage is taken to your room. Navigating the mansion is such a treat cause you get to be in the mix apart from the busy common areas. This was out of our comfort zone considering the room type but was a very welcomed experience. Winding staircase from the bathroom to the room, balcony, huge space overall, absolute eye candy to just look at and do not get me started on those comfy sheets. While I'm here let's give a nod to housekeeping. Daily when we would leave, without fail the room was cleaned no matter we were done one or 5 hours (still don't know how they pulled it off so conveniently) . Once the staff was familiar it made the stay even more comfy as you just move about the space and explore the hidden books that are all painted and decorated. At night it felt like you were asleep and there was a party downstairs, it was a total vibe. The noise made you feel in the mix but wasn't loud enough to prevent rest. Staying here was an experience I look forward to referencing to anyone who will listen. Tip- as guests of the Villa we got a discount on dinner at Giannis ! Valet on standby for when you need your car.

Great and timely service, beautiful location. We were pleasantly surprised by the food because we heard that this place was more for an ambiance, not the quality of food. Everything was delicious!

*Review is for the hotel* The hotel is worth staying at for 1 day, but anymore and you will be slapping yourself in the face spending $900 a night to say you stayed at the Versace Mansion with limited amenities. You only need 1 night of pictures. Check in is a bit confusing. The "desk" looks exactly like the dinner hostess desk, and is kind of disappointing looking. Nice guy took our bags up. Room was incredible. Definitely did not look crazy different from what was original. Everything from the Versace monogram in the bed frame, to the ornate bathroom tiling. Once in a lifetime experience. No Versace branded toiletries or slippers, robes, etc. Hotel does not "collaborate" with Versace brand in terms of sponsorships. Dinner at the restaurant was fine. Disappointing how a dress code wasn't enforced as there were people in dresses, to Versace shirts, to regular t-shirts, to sports coats. Room gets loud at night. You can hear the lobby, as well as the fountains in the pool. Don't expect to go to bed before midnight, as you're in a "house" and not a hotel - no insulation really. Pool was fun to swim in. Pretty surreal being in it. No hours are posted for it, so you need to ask the lady at the front desk. It's open most of the day. Complimentary breakfast sucked. Wow, it was disappointing. Worst scrambled eggs I've had, sausage was hard - don't get me started. Overall: if you want a picture of the pool, just have dinner here. If you want to sleep in a room and swim in the pool, stay a night here. But at $900 a night, you'll have more amenities and comfort at the Loews or anywhere else. Cool experience, just for a night.

GIANNI'S RESTAURANT: Heads up, this restaurant has roaches. We went for dinner tonight to celebrate my niece's birthday, and roaches surrounded our table. According to management, it's the norm. This place is too expensive to have roaches as a recurring reservation.

Let's be honest most ppl go for the experience and ambience of the Versace mansion which was amazing! The service was excellent and professional, the architecture was immaculate and valet park if you can. The food was a dead note unfortunately. We had the lunch menu which was a set price of about $36 plus gratuity. The wine selection and specialty cock tails were delicious and provided reasonably. The bread was ok only olive oil no herbs to enjoy with it, the margheti pizza was delicious ( it could use more basil). My entree chicken and potatoes was cooked to perfection however the flavor was lacking and the breast was slightly dry, a sauce or purée wouldn't done this chicken some justice. The chocolate cake was a MISS the cake was very spongy, dry, and lacked flavor. Go with the sorbet instead. Fun for a 1st try, probably won't go back until the menu is updated or just better.

Hace un par de semanas que visite por primera vez Miami (maravilloso por cierto) Y era para mi y mi pareja un sueño visitar la mansión Versace y ese día llego y omg quede mas que encantado con todo , visitar la mansión y poder degustar sus platillos a un lado de esa piscina tan hermosa con detalles de oro fue tan placentero . La comida espectacular 10 de 10 Ha sido la mejor burrata que he probado en mi vida , el salmón estaba en su punto y sus vegetales eran perfectos , el corte de carne lo pedimos médium rare y llegó tal cual , los cocteles pedimos los más populares y estaban riquísimos El lugar no tiene precio es tan bello La atención fue ESPECTACULAR Nos atendió el MEJOR mesero del mundo RUBÉN fue muy muy amable encantador y muy atento 10 de 10 para el (muy pocos meseros como el nos hemos topado en nuestros viajes ) felicidades Recomiendo el lugar y la comida al 100 % El lugar es tan hermoso para tomar fotos a los que les encanta capturar los mejores momentos . This location is a trap ! Smh I didn't have reservations so I asked to be seated at the bar and they allowed me to walk around the restaurant but there's not much ! And when we left I paid for valet parking ! 50$ they couldn't even bring me my car ! I waited 35 min for my valet parking ! Then I had to walk all the way to the garage to get my own car and then they valet driver said " we can get you guys a table" so he walks over to talk to the lady but doesn't even come back for us ! We had to walk all the way back to get my car key ! The guy was acting sketchy not wanting me get my car and making us stay at the location like killing time ? At the end of the day I only got one picture just horrible service the girls give you attitude smh

The worst customer service I have ever experienced! I wish I could leave ZERO stars!! If you look at the other reviews on yelp and TripAdvisor you will notice a theme stands out of "tourist trap", " terrible service" and "always running late for reservations booked way in advance". We made our reservation weeks in advance and we showed up the hostesses were rude and we had to wait over an hour for our table. The server was even worse (mid 50 year old male with brown Mohawk and italian accent), had to wait another 45 minutes to be greeted and he messed up our food and drink orders. Also, the food came out with a bug in it, the servers response was it must have "jumped in the food" on the walk from the kitchen to the table. Cliff notes summary - Half Ass Pizza Hut service with basic over priced Olive Garden pasta. If you really want an impressive italian meal go to Carbone!! Vodka pasta is fire there.

Expensive, small portions, and loud Let me start with the menu prices....starting in the upper 20s for some pasta plus a service change and included tip (then being asked to tip more) don't expect even a small salad to be cheap. Portions are small meaning come not very hungry or be prepared to eat two meals. Appetizer was meh, taste of the actual food was fine but this place is definitely the atmosphere and not about the food. The best thing we ate probably was the dessert. If you are expecting a romantic evening forget it. The entire place is loud and people will be taking pictures and videos the entire night so if you like people watching then that's a plus! Also if you sit inside bring a coat it was blowing the entire dinner and we were cold despite it being mid 80s outside.

This place is beautiful don't get me wrong but the food is below average. Despite making a reservation they made us wait 15-20mins. Once we were seated we had to wait even longer for our waiter. Once our waiter came they were nice. However when I asked how the Caesar salad was made - if the sauce was made in house they said yes. But as you can see in the picture it's just regular Caesar sauce that you can buy from Walmart. The most expensive basic Caesar salad in the world. Didn't even have bacon. It just gets worse with the cacio e Pepe. It was cold and the pasta noodles were over cooked and too thin. Every pull of the pasta made it break every time into small little strands. So disappointing. Also be aware of the 20% service fee on top of your bill. What a joke lol. People are compelled to come here as it's the former Versace house. But honestly that's all it is as the restaurant is a disappointment.

What a fabulous experience... we arrived a little early for our reservation and wondered around and saw a beautiful hotel. When we got seated we were next to the pool and my friends chose the pool view and I chose to people watch... it did not disappoint... I helped people take pics and it was very interesting... now in to the food. We had the $34 lunch menu which included an appetizer and entree and dessert. We all ordered different appetizers and they all were great. Our waiter Leo was very informative and not pushy. All our food was great- I had the bronzino but forgot to take a picture. 3 friends ordered burgers which came out very salty. They took them all back and remade them and they were then great. Michele the manager apologized and brought us a bottle of rose Prosecco for the delayed entrees. Which was a lovely surprise. The desserts which were included were lovely. My friend and I shared the sorbet and fruit which was very refreshing. This is a great lunch stop for a special occasion or if you just want to have a nice afternoon. Can't tell you about the dinner experience.

Food & customer service wise it was very mediocre. Basically paying for the name. For a ribeye to be $72 it was honestly low quality that you can get at a cheap casino/restaurant. With the spaghetti lobster it was undercooked for the noodles & waitress said it was suppose to be like that however I would like to be notified before hand. Should be the restaurants/waiters responsibility to at least let the guest know ahead of time. All sides too was very plain & bland. The carrots & broccolini weren't even seasoned. Seemed like they just half ass steamed it. Potatoes were the only ones that was barely seasoned with salt & decent part of the meal. Staff seemed like they did not want to be there & was very scripted & monotone.

Yes, this is a tourist trap but you still need to experience it. Many people come here for cocktails, lunch and or dinner. However, if you don't have a room, you don't get to do an exploring off of the first floor. Since we checked into the hotel we were allowed to roam the upper areas which were quite fascinating. There's also an area in the front that looks out towards the beach as well as them Lookout area with the telescope. None of what you would be able to see unless you were one of the 10 hotel guest. As a guest of the hotel, we were treated really nice from everywhere starting at the front door to the restaurant until the moment we left. Very friendly and attentive staff. The pool is open from midnight until 1030 the following morning because this is when there are no guest outside on the patio area eating. It was a wonderful experience to get into the pool. We went in at midnight and stayed till about two in the morning. The Ashley had someone outside her brothers cheeseburgers and beer. That was kind of cool. The rooms are magnificent and each one is different from the next. Very glamorous very ornate and definitely very Versace. The rooms ran around $1200 a piece which wasn't bad for 1500 square-foot of space. It was definitely an experience we will remember, and one that we definitely look forward to doing again. they do have valet parking which was about $45. If you are a hotel guest, you do not have to make reservations for the restaurant as you have priority seating over the others that come through the door. I thought that was kind of cool.

If Gianni Versace were alive today, he would drop dead all over again. That is, if he sees what they've done to his house, turning it into an amusement park for hungry and curious adults with a restaurant that serves mediocre food with Ocean Drive prices. I went to the restaurant like three years ago and found the food to not be on the same page with the prices...but it is Ocean Drive after all and you are a mere mortal being allowed to enter the once- private and exclusive Villa of Gianni Versace. At the time, we were able to make reservations without a problem and found the place to be approximately half full. Fast forward three years and my great niece decides that that's where she wants to have dinner for her her 40th birthday for a party of about seven. To Make a long story short(too late),I made reservations for nine pm because they only had that timeslot and 6 o'clock available. We get there at 8:30, about a half hour early And by 945 they still weren't able to give us our table. There was no table to be had. We complained and complained and complained and they then wanted to put us off in a secluded room where they hold small dinner parties and such. Needless to say they never got us a table and by 954pm , we were walking out and very upset and finally dined somewhere else on Ocean Drive around 11:00pm. After the initial anger subsided, deep down inside I was feeling relieved and at peace with the fact that we had probably saved a little over $1000 by simply not eating Piccadilly's, I mean Versaces. I apologize for not being able to review the current quality of the food, but we never got to see any. I am sure that the time will come again when I will have a visitor from out of town or a relative that will want to see the Versace house and I will have to succumb (it is attractive after all)to the expense and the torture and the indigestion but until then I have an extra thousand or so bucks in the bank.

After a year I returned for lunch, as always everything was fine, we asked the host about the server Rubén and he took care of us, very well and we were satisfied with his attention. ,, and the food delicious as always and the drinks thanks very much

I have lived in Miami for years and passed by this all the time. This is such a Miami staple and I am so happy I went ! It is located on ocean drive. Make sure to reserve before hand. The food was delicious. The service was perfect. They sat us down as soon as we got there. I ordered a pasta and it was yummy. The prices were decent. This place is nice to go to for a treat for a bday or even a date. We even saw a proposal here ! Definitely an insta worthy place. The main dishes were yum. The service charge is included. We just used street parking. I'm definitely coming back ! :)

The mansion is beautiful, it really is a great atmosphere here to enjoy with friends and family. The drinks are great but very expensive. The food isn't anything special either for the price that you pay. But it's nice to go see the mansion, and enjoy the beauty of it, just don't have your sites set too high on the food. And be prepared to spend a lot on drinks if you plan on drinking.

This restaurant was beautiful, we had a layover after returning from Dominican Republic for my birthday and had an amazing dinner at the Versace mansion. They were so accommodating and even brought me out an amazing desert to celebrate. Food was delicious

OK, you've got two gay boys living in Miami Beach who like Versace shirts...OF COURSE they're gonna try a restaurant in Versace's old mansion. The score was 5 on ambience, 5 on service and 2 on food. The setting is the absolute star here: Versace's mansion, right on Ocean Drive, is an Italianate fantasy of South Beach fabulousness. The architecture looks like a Versace advertisement, a perfect fantasy world of columns, mosaics and fountains, facing out toward one of the most beautiful urban beaches on the planet. Strangely enough the mansion started out as 4-5 smaller houses, drastically remodeled into one Renaissance palace on the beach. There's also a vague undercurrent of prurient interest, since Versace was murdered on the steps to the place. But hey, those clothes and this restaurant aren't exactly Old Money tweeds, they're totally tabloidy / flashy and that's the fun part. Waitstaff here is uniformly sweet and helpful. They're also extraordinarily good looking. Service was elegant and efficient. The drawback was the food. While pricey, it was more-or-less Tony Roma's on steroids. Maybe my bar was higher since cheap ole' Joe was buying and not the corporate Amex. Either a better chef or a lower price would get at least one more star...

You would think for $1500 a night they can install a better AC system. We had two rooms and they were both miserably stuffy, muggy, and hot. The AC did not drop below 74°. The problem with that, is that the humidity is so heavy because it's right on the beach that is a difficult time sleeping at night. There are no fans in the room. There's no ceiling fans in the room. It's like being in an old castle with no air movement. We mentioned this numerous times over the weekend. Of course maintenance doesn't work on the weekend. No fans were offered. I spoke with other guest and they two complained about how hot the hotel was. Very disappointed and certainly will not be going back.

The famous Versace! The decor and layout of this restaurant would make you feel like you're in Italy! I went there for their daily brunch specials which was not bad at all considering you would think it's expensive because it's the Versace. I had the lychee martini which I wasn't impressed I would actually think it would be better...but the food was amazing so that's good to me

okay why is this place still open? Where is the health department? They literally brought bread to the table next to us with a big cockroach on it!!! We witnessed that after finishing our disgusting food. Also if you are allergic here to anything, they don't give a s***. My friend wanted the beet salad and she is allergic to goat cheese so she said she doesn't want goat cheese and the waiter replied by saying everything is pre made here and we can't make that salad with no cheese. This place is just hyped up because of social media/tiktok and that's all. Stay away, there are so many better restaurants in town!

If i could give this place no stars I would. Had the absolute rudest waitress. We made a reservation and decided we weren't the hungriest once we sat down and looked at the menu. Which in turn led us to the decision of just ordering our drinks when we told our waitress this she was extremely rude "said oh no you need to go to the bar, you have to order food here" in the most disrespectful tone. Then put her ordering pad in her apron and walked off. We had to grab her to ask to pay for the water we drank and she was shocked when we said we didn't want the drinks anymore. You told us we essentially had to leave and go to the bar? Nothing was communicated that the drinks would still be put in because she just walked off with an attitude. If people can only order drinks in the dining area you need to specify that to your guests. And when communicating with your guests be professional.

This spot is very iconic. If you are a Versace fan and love the history behind the grand Gianni Versace, this is just must stop place in Miami. The mansion is located a few feet from Ocean Drive avenue. A reservation is a must, so go to opentable app and reserve. We arrived 30 minutes earlier than our reservation time and hung out at the bar. Then we headed to our table. We were seated near the iconic visage pool. The waiters look like models (I kid you not!). Great service and very attentive. My favorite plate is the lobster spaghetti paste. This has A LOT Of CHEESE!! The best plate in the menu in my opinion. This experience was fabulous and I would reserve a table next visit to Miami for sure.

Came to The Villa hoping to have dinner as a walk-in. No luck in the dining room as it was full so we ended up at the bar in the courtyard. Interior was really nice and Leny's service was EXCELLENT!

I really don't understand how this place is in business with the staff that they have. ***This review is not based off of the food*** Came here on a busy Saturday night (12/11/21) with reservations that were made months in advance. Was quickly seated inside, main level, next to a stand alone bar with a huge line. Most guest bumping into the back of chair as well as others with me. That's how poorly placed my table was and how packed they've made the dining area. (No covid protocols in place) I figured since my reservations were made about 2 months in advance, and since I called and requested a pool side table, I would surely be able to move tables. I went to the hostess counter and explained how crowded my table was by guests ordering from the stand alone bar and how I would love to move to the pool side view. The little girl working rolled her eyes and said "everyone wants to sit down there, so you can't" (I'm sorry, who are you talking to?!) I asked her what she just said... because surely someone who works at the Versace Mansion of all places isn't talking to a customer who's table is about to spend hundreds of dollars at the restaurant... but yup! She did it again.. she said "like I said it's full. You can move over to the table next to you if you want or you can wait over an hour to sit by the pool" her little side kick hostess laughed under her breath. I walked away and told my table what happened, we decided to move to the next table and not let those girls get to us because we were there for an experience. Shocker.. it gets worse!!! Our waiter comes and asks if we would like drinks. We all say water... and continue to replay what just happened because it was such a shock. In walks two young girls, they get seated at the table we just moved from. Our waiter comes back and asks if we were ready to order. I was so annoyed that I told my friends I didn't want to eat. So my friend takes it upon herself to order calamari for the table and herself a drink. We quickly hear to two girls that were seated at our previous table very loudly complaining to the waiter about the same complaints we had!! He tells them they have to talk to the host. They get up, go tell the host (who is literally stationed right behind our current table) and they all disappear. Our appetizer then comes. None of us eat it because we are waiting to see if the two girls are going to come back..... nope! Just the host. So I stand up and ask the host if she had just seated them by the pool. She said yes, what's your issue. (Again... I am trying to stay calm) I explain how we had JUST requested the same thing to which she denied. She said "yea well you are already eating, so you can't move after ordering"..... I think you all get the point by now. We didn't have food or drinks when we requested a move, nor did we even touch our food even when it came. I start to explain myself, again. And she and her little friend start laughing. In my face. The hostess w red fried hair says "let me get the manager because this ain't gonna work".. I said "good get him". Here comes the poor excuse of a manager. As I towered over him, all 5'6 of me (in heels), I explain everything that happened. He looks at me in silence and says nothing. His little hyena of hostess' begin to laugh.. very obnoxiously and he looks at them. They don't stop. I said are you okay with them laughing at your guests? He said "2 guests is a big difference than 3. You can wait an hour or stay here" and at that point I told him he can write of the appetizer and drink because we will not be staying. He said " that's fine with me" I asked for his name to which he said "I don't have a name. Bye" LOL!!!!! I tried to take a pic but somehow I didn't. But I did get the two rude girls that were laughing. It's no wonder the customer service is bad, management condones it!!!!! I will absolutely never visit or recommend this place! These girls and the manager working that night need to be fired. Oh and gratuity is included on all of Ocean Drive.. so they can get away with this kind of behavior. Truly disgusting!

If you don't speak Spanish - good luck going here! This is America for crying out load! IF you do NOT speak English fluently then learn it OR get an interpreter! I have done my share of traveling to different foreign countries and that is how they roll! Anyways, regarding my stay here, I ordered an "expensive lunch" sitting poolside. I only took 2 bites of my lunch & had to jet off to my meeting of which... I told the waiter(s) to pack up the leftovers & have it sent to my room. Fast forward a few hours later, I get back to my room and was looking for the lunch leftovers. I find out....they threw it out! I was livid!! Apparently they didn't understand English when I told them to box it up & send it to my room. UGH!! ALSO, Booking this place from the beginning - it was totally unorganized. That was a "red flag" right there. The staff that works here apparently does not like their job because they are rude & not at all welcoming. Also at 11:00 a.m. when its time to checkout - they are banging on your door looking to when you are out. I never ever have a problem with this kind of bad behavior anyplace I have ever stayed. I am a Marriott Bonvoy Member and travel ALOT and this never happens anywhere I stay. I tell everyone about this experience so they don't go thru this.... SO I am now letting social media know too before you spend thousands of dollars on a disappointing vacation that you will regret....

I'm so sorry to said that this pace was disappointing. I spent 550$ on foods that is not great , we had a table that was hot as hades . The mixed drinks was good and the ambience is nice . I won't come back for a second time but recommend for people to come visit but Becareful with the foods

Absolutely stunning experience! Make reservations and show up early. The mansion has a high end luxury style with a twist of Mediterranean elegance. The food was delicious. However, I would recommend dinning during a less busy time of day because we were packed table to table with other customers. The high volume of reservations did take away from a more comfortable experience.

So we were balling on a budget in Miami but I could not pass up this opportunity after the American Crime Story series. The lunch was $29 per person which included 3 courses that was honestly the best affordable meal I had in Miami. We were so happy with this experience. We booked a table online and got there a bit early to explore. The house is overwhelmingly gorgeous. We were sat outside for lunch which was hot but thankfully they have plenty of fans on the patio. The most expensive part was the drinks but dang they were so good. If you want an experience then grab a rez and go spoil yourself for the afternoon. Both my sisters were pleased with their birthday celebration and we got some awesome Polaroids by the pool. We went to the hotel, passed out then swam for the rest of the evening. Such a perfect day.

What was once a beautiful and intimate dining experience is now a low class tourist trap. From the beginning this was a terrible experience. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but this has gone downhill. From the sloppy waiters that throw a bread basket on your table and walk away, to the crammed tables that crowd the floor, this place was just a nightmare. The waiters were inexperienced about the menu. I ordered beef carpaccio that honestly inedible. It was rubbery, pale and looked more like lunch meat that actual beef. After the appetizer course we asked for the bill and left. It is filled with tourists in scandalous, cheap outfits. The loud speaker from the event on the beach across the street was thumping so loud that it ruined the (what I thought would be a romantic) atmosphere. 5-6 years ago, this place was magical. It is honestly trash now. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Also known as the Versace Mansion! It used to be the residence of Gianni Versace but it's now a hotel and restaurant. It's located on Ocean Drive in South Beach, Miami. It's kind of random to think this was a private residence before right next to restaurants and bars. It makes more sense now that it's a hotel. You can't just go in to check out the hotel like other places. You'll need to have a hotel reservation or dine in their restaurant. It's definitely a place to visit when you're in Miami!

Let me start by saying this was my birthday August/2021. I have been a connoisseur and an ad-how consultant of fashion for a long time. I originally was just interested in just seeing Mr. Gianni's beloved residence, but through my search I later learned there was a restaurant on site. I made a reservation through there e-portal without a hitch. There are a lot of beautiful people in this place might I add! I had a wonderful server. I initially started out with a Glenlevit 12 double oak lemon squeeze with a dash of sugar cocktail. Trust me the drink still had great flavor! The bartender was actually nice enough to explain that all of South Beach has a mandatory service fee on all food service. This os great to know as I always wondered why there is a fee and then a tip line. The fee is split amongst the establishment, servers, waitresses, and service personnel, but the tip goes directly to the server in most cases. One drink of scotch was quite pricey, but if you want to have a true experience of this place then at least do it once in your life time. The other amazing thing is the different patrons of various cultures who come to dine in this landmark real estate of south Florida. Now on to the food I had a general pasta, but the sauce was outstanding. Also I inquired with my server about a brooch he was wearing as I knew I wasn't going to a Versace boutique during my stay so he made me aware that they actually sell them so he actually was able to get me one for a reasonable price as they are licensed accessories as it's the only one they carry at this time. This is truly one of the best birthday experiences I will experience and cherish for a long time. Also it rained but it added a different element to my experience as I was on the upper patio. This is also how I later learned they have a Medusa curated pool at the edge of the end of their seating. #MAGNIFIQUE
