A charming, beautiful, safe space to enjoy with friends or loved ones for an espresso, a flight (on Wednesdays), or a whole bottle of their extensive collection of natty wine. It's about time Austin had some comfortable wine bars, and this one is smartly tucked into Crestview, where we're starved for sweet spots like this.
I love me some vino, but am new to natural wines, so this venue is the perfect landing spot, with Lindsey as a decorated Somm (and Cicerone), she can sample and guide you into the comfortable (or more unexpected) picks among their broad selection. I'm so excited that some of the approachability of craft beer culture has crossed over into the wine community with people and places like this, and many of the profiles (seen in some of the whites and orange wines) may remind you of Saison, Farmhouse, or funkier. This is grown-up day drinking, without any collars.
Super impressed with their "snacks," as the cheese & charcuterie is enough to ruin any meal - reasonably priced, and some of the most incredible selections I've had on a plate - Antonelli's would be proud! Also serving some of the crispest marinated olives and fresh oysters, along with Texas French Bread pastries, living up to their local namesake. This will surely be a neighborhood gem in no time.
