The Wayfarer Downtown LA, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

This is not a 4-star hotel. I would call it a 3-star hotel. 1. The staff were very friendly and courteous. I have no complaints with them. 2. The rooms feel dated and not at a 4-star level. The unfinished ceiling with flame retardant does not feel like a good decorating choice as it just seems dirty. 3. The water pressure was poor. If you are waking up early, it may take greater than 10 minutes for the shower to warm-up. 4. Outside my window on the fourth floor at the rear of the building, the neighboring building has trash dumpsters. All three mornings at about 4:30am, this was picked up by a truck including compacting. It lasted 10 or so minutes. I would like if the hotel would work out with the neighboring building not to do this or figure out some other resolution. 5. The location is good being very close to the convention center. I would likely not choose this hotel again. Not the fault of the staff, but a larger issue.

I had a wonderful stay here at The Wayfarer! The entire property is absolutely stunning and unique. My room was very clean and comfy; I slept soundlessly on their plush bedding! Melissa at the front desk was an absolute joy and made sure my stay was perfect; she upgraded me to a lovely double queen suite and I couldn’t have been in anything better. Mark at the rooftop bar was amazing, he was attentive and even brought out some tasty beignets with a candle to help me celebrate my birthday; thank you so much for being so kind! I’m already planning another visit to LA and this hotel will be my choice of stay. So perfect!

Overall, the hotel isn’t too bad. They don’t offer parking, but parking is readily available next door. The location is great if you’re going to see a show at the nearby theaters. Additionally, the rooftop bar is nice - good views and drinks. However, from above, outside and the rooms next door, there is no escaping the constant noise; the hotel (perhaps due to the design) has done a terrible job with noise insulation. I specifically chose a top floor in hopes of not having to deal with added noise above me, but it backfired, as I had to listen to the restaurant drag chairs and tables around to set up… and then again at the end of the night to put things back. This was accompanied by the next door neighbors, who must’ve brought a speaker to listen to music; they really enjoy country music at a high volume. And when paired with outside noises (trucks, motorcycles, etc.), you should not anticipate being able to get sleep. That being said, if you plan to be up all night and party, the cheap rates will likely make this a great choice for you. We will not return.

This is a great hotel as long as you don't get a room with bunk beds! The bunks are HORRIBLE and forget about getting any sleep in them. A thin, soft mattress on a hard board surface, no slats, no give. The bed is child size so I did not fit without hitting the headboard and footboard. One of my worst nights' sleep in a hotel anywhere (this includes 1 star budget places). Not worthy of the Hilton name, let's put it that way.

For the price we paid to stay here the location and amenities were nonexistent. The area was not safe at all to walk around especially at night. The room was definitely not what we expected from a Hilton. To say it was small is a huge understatement!!! There was NO Closet, No Dresser, No Mini Fridge, and my favorite part of the room experience is that the bathroom is floor to ceiling frosted windows that are open to the room so every time someone goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night the automatic lights turn on and light up the entire hotel room like an airport landing strip!!!! On the website they brag about the beautiful views from the windows but our diamond member view was a brick wall that we could literally touch if our window opened. Thank goodness we had shades to pull down that had giant eye balls staring back at us all day and night…. Can’t make this stuff up!!!! $3800 for three ridiculous nights at this hotel unbelievable rip off I also loved requesting cleaning services in the morning only to come back and find it not done three days in a row. The water pressure was nonexistent and Luke warm at best for shower. There were two pluses… The beds were comfortable and the rooftop was nice…

Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Cafe in the lobby was fine. However, there was some work being done on the floor above us (which was the rooftop) early in the morning which was kind of strange considering it was a Sunday. One of the elevators wasn’t working too which made waiting for it take longer than expected.

I can only review the Fork N' Film event they were holding here. It was really nice, it was downstairs in what seemed to be a very private room and space. It was perfect for the event. I felt like we were in a secret area. I loved watching a movie and eating the foods that were in the movie. The hotel itself I can't really say, the lobby was big and empty and there was a bakery area that served the biggest chocolate croissants that i've ever seen in my life.

The room was very neat and tidy. It was very well organized for the small space of the room. I felt that the room could use a safety locker for guests. Also, I've seen many negative feedback for the $25 amenity fee on Google reviews and I do want to join that list and agree with them. It was something new I had come across for the very first time in my past 50-plus stays worldwide. Also, I complained about the Chromecast not working in our room and the receptionist sent an engineer to help but it still wasn't resolved.

We stayed for 7 nights at the Wayfarer and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The room was small but smartly designed. The bed was very comfortable. Heads up that there are no dressers, so you will be living out of your suitcase. Some reviewers mentioned issues with hot water, but I was relieved to find we had hot showers at all times throughout the day. The staff is awesome. We loved the rooftop patio restaurant and used the lobby/lounge/coffee shop every day. Great location and walking distance to everything. Parking next door is $40/day with in and out privileges. No other fees to speak of. We would stay there again, because it's comfortable and we like the location.

"I don't mind spending some time... Just hanging here with you. Cause I don't find too many guys that treat me like you do..." The Wayfarer Downtown LA, Tapestry Collection by Hilton has me feeling all Stars are Blind (circa 2006). The hotel itself is boutique chic from the moment you stroll in. During peak times of the day there is someone just outside the double doors to open them or at the very least greet you. One of the best deals with solid amenities, plus a cafe, rooftop restaurants/tiki bar and basement speakeasy. Check-in was easy. I had booked through Expedia (my travel buddy app/site go-to, plus cash-back). I had about two hours or more before 4pm and called ahead to see if they could hold my bags until after, but to my surprised they let me check in early :) I went up to my room on the fourth flow and wanted to stay here forever! It felt like a studio suite with a spacious bathroom, standing desk, open spaces including peg hooks with grooves for hanging clothes and things. The night stands, flat screen tv (tons of channels), sensory lights, built in bed frame lights and that king size bed all were dreamy. Staying by myself I had tons of room. However my friend Jeff stopped by to catch up - who works in the area one night and it dawn on my a room like this for two might feel a little extra intimate in terms of maneuvering, more so with multiple sets of luggage, water, etc. While they do have a luggage rack, because of the open space it's a less roomy. A 2 queen room might be better. There are drawers under the bed, and hallway space in your room so you can make it work. Full length mirror, great huge showers, nice water pressure, button for the toilet is huge and built in the wall. There isn't that classic ice-bucket, vending machine feel nor a bar area, fridge microwave or coffee maker in your room. It's very streamline. I did have to get creative with leftovers one night. Snacks I grabbed at Ralphs or Smart & Final were dry or fruit based. I work a little while here and enjoyed the desk setup as well as the plugs in all the right places. Elevators can be a touch slow in the morning and at night, and even quite full. They only have two for the hotel, but also their staircase. A few events happening here like the Fork n Film movie + meals from the movie experience at Lilly Rose (parlor speakeasy) and a private social on the Rooftop after 10pm on a Saturday night. They have recurring events listed on the website and you can always ask ahead to troubleshoot, which I'll do more of next time. Top Highlights: ADA compliant and friendly accesses, rooms and floors. Blackout curtains - next level amazing, plus artsy. Concierge. Great guest service. Good coffee (by my standards - I'm not a huge caffeine drinker). Hilton Honors savings. LA Fitness Center guest pass (I didn't take advantage of during this stay - absolutely next time). The LA fitness is at The Bloc which is approve 7th & Metro Station. Pet friendly. Room service. Secure room access. Spacious lobby lounge. Easy accessible from just about every part of the hotel free WiFi. Complimentary lemon cucumber strawberry infused water that made me feel all kinds of good in the morning and at night. I'd refill my water bottle here and go. A $25 credit is added to use for their cafe - great bites, eats, baked goodness, juices and more. Huge covered parking structure next to/for the hotel (833 Flower St) - I believe it's shared with the O Hotel & Spa next door - see rates. Overall I enjoyed my stay here. And would again, noting a few more extra (fees) and extra details until then... "Even though the stars are blind!"

I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The location is prime. Within walking distance to tons of eateries, activities and points of interest. They do not have a gym however if your a guest you get a free 3 day pass to LA fitness or some other commercially known gym ( I don't remember the name) which is up the street within walking distance. The interior of the room is updated yet minimalistic. My favorite part was the clouds painted on the wall. What's interesting about this hotel is that it doesn't have a pool, but does have a rooftop bar/restaurant, and a basement parlor lounge at the bottom. Unfortunately the lounge is not open on the weekends which was strange to me as the weekends is the primary going out days. If you come on the weekend, I would suggest going to the roof top bar at night. the views are top tier, and the restaurant is open to the public so you'll meet all sorts of people and have a great time. Customer service was excellent through out the entire hotel.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. But the rooms are a bit tight and claustrophobic, couldn't even walk around bed. No closet. No bedside table. No coffee. . Rooms are weird conferencing but it felt a bit One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest institutional-like.

We landed at 5am and got to the hotel at 6am. Too early for check in and breakfast. Thankfully, they have comfy chairs to sit in while we passed the time. I'm grateful to the receptionist who came to get us from the waiting area and said we could check in early, around 9am. The hotel is clean. The room has a cool modern industrial vibe. Our room had two very comfy queen beds, I fell asleep instantly. There's no closet but there is a cool oversized peg board that has hangers you can use to hang clothes. There's no fridge. Bathroom has a shower with glass door that is fully closed, I hate that half door bs. Overall, pleasant stay that is about a 20 min walk from the convention center.

We recently stayed here to enjoy our annual tradition of attending the Los Angeles auto show. What a welcome surprise to have stayed in this place. We had a little trouble finding the entrance initially, and after figuring out the parking situation (there's a parking garage next door), we were off to the races! From the second we walked in, Lorenzo was a stupendous host, asked if we wanted a drink and offered us a beer or two to chill out a bit. Afterwards, welcomed us in typical Hilton honors fashion, and even upgraded our room! We enjoyed dinner at the rooftop restaurant, wow one of the best views of downtown and the staff were excellent! Big shout out to Yessina and rest of the team there, they made our dinner feel that much more special! The following morning we enjoyed breakfast in their restaurant in the lobby. Everything was top notch and on point, delicious coffee, pastries, and food options! This hotel is older (building from 1913), but recently renovated and is an eclectic persons dream. Very photogenic spot to vacation! All the artwork was hand picked is our understanding.

Had a lovely time here. Stayed for 3 days 2 nights. Drove here and almost missed the entrance. It was a bit hidden. There's no parking but there's a lot adjacent to it. They have valet and told me it was okay to double park as I check in. Check in with smooth. Super quick and nice people. I'm a silver Hilton honor member which I think makes people a bit nicer. First time I stayed at this brand of Hilton and was offered 25 dollar credit. I wasn't told it was per day. Thought it was total. Which is a shame. Otherwise I wouldn't have searched for breakfast or coffee each morning. The entrance was beautiful. Hanging plants. Bookshelves. Plenty of sitting. Tucked in the corner is the in hotel restaurant. What's also best about it is that there's a pour your own beer bar. You preload a card and the amount you pour is the amount you pay. They say roughly a 12oz beer is about 8 bucks. There's two elevators but one is reserved for hotel staff. Had a room on the 6th floor. The rooms were fine. Not a ton of room on either side of the bed to have a dance party but you're not cramped in it. There was a high top desk and a chair plus a steamer rather than an iron. The shower was a standup and not a tub. All in all. This was a 4 star place and I'd stay here again. Was about 200 bucks a night and it was in a solid location in downtown LA where you could get to a decent amount of places in about 15 min walking distance either direction.

We loved our stay at the Wayfarer! Centrally located and close to Macys! Close to USC and only 30 mins from LAX! This is a great a cute boutique hotel! Checkin was perfect and flawless! Young staff and trendy finishings! We had free WiFi and $25 credit towards a continental breakfast ! We stayed for 3 nights ! And they have a great rooftop restaurant ! Parking next door and lots of books for reading pleasure! Highly recommend!

Stayed here while in town on business. It's a Hilton property so there are standards -- all staff were welcoming, a lot of perks for guests, and the room was clean and comfortable. The lobby has a very inviting feel as it's open spaces allow busy people to work on their laptops with all the conveniences of a small coffee shop, AC, Wi-Fi, electricity and a clean lobby restroom. My room with a king bed was small but chic. I would say it was functional for what I needed it for which was a place to shower and sleep. Overnight parking is $30. There's a 7-11 directly across the street for any snacks or hygiene needs. Also, I would say this property is within walking distance to all the hot spots in DTLA and to the LA Live block. Not too bad of a lodging option if you need to get things down in DTLA. P.S. while I didn't dine on the rooftop bar, it looked really pretty from a quick visit during the day. I think this hotel is known for their rooftop bar.

You know, when you book out a room for your kids and their boyfriends, you don't want them to be able to see you when you're taking a shower, but that's what's going on here. Check out the video and the photos I posted. I am not so sure that this room was a good idea for my kids to get together with their boyfriends and go to anime expo. I think it was maybe a little bit too risqué for those kids and they're a little bit too traumatized. Too funny though.

I came here for fork and film, and it was an experience of a lifetime. This hotel has a café, huge lobby, a rooftop, and a speakeasy downstairs called Lily and Rose. You get so many things under one roof here. It is such a clean establishment. It looks like it was brand new.

We stayed over the weekend! Arrived from a late flight Friday night and can't wait to take a shower after a long day! To our surprise my daughter had to take a shower in frigid water! There was no hot water. I showered Saturday morning and still no hot water. I informed the front desk and was told that they are having hot water issues in some rooms. Was told that they'll try to move me to a different room but to no avail. Showered again on Sunday morning to prep for another long flight, guess what! Still don't have hot water. Long story short, paid to stay at this hotel with the most basic service being not available! Wondering why you're allowed to operate this when you have this issue. In my view, this is just bad business practice and guests are being deceived.

May reach the distinction of being the worst Hilton hotel room that we have ever experienced. Size small cramped dark had two small windows that were obscured by oversized furniture. No place to put belongings except some under bed storage and a luggage rack. Not even a closet. Medieval Dungeon industrial storage closet. Two queen beds but not suitable for people who are not intimately familiar with each other. Must crawl across people to access the beds. The worst design choice The shower wall is translucent. If you touch the shower wall the people sharing your room can see you. Imagine shadow dancing at a strip club. Last straw was the bathroom light was motion sensitive. It would brighten up the entire room through the translucent glass wall. Had to Mc giver a solution to disable the sensor with a bandaid. If you're claustrophobic this is not the room for you. If being inside a tiny cruise cabin that looks like a crypt sounds fun then this is your hotel. Rooftop restaurant bar was lovely and the beds were comfortable but the pillows were awful. We stayed at the Wayfarer Hotel for one night as we had a layover on an Amtrak train adventure. We had a king room that was very comfortable for my husband and myself. A $35 credit was given to us for the cafe downstairs. We found our breakfast to be so much better than the usual buffet options at most hotels. The real gem of this hotel however was the kindness and willingness to go the extra mile by each staff person we encountered, especially Kenneth and Nyra at the front desk. I

Room was so tiny, water was Luke warm at best in shower as well as blow dryer didn't get hot. Heard every noise from elevator to ice machine to ac units. Buzzing alarm every couple hours kept waking us up. One outlet didn't work. They were able to move us to another room which was better the next day but still rooms are tiny with a steel support beam in the middle of every room. Location is ghetto too, don't recommend staying here at all.

This was a unique hotel, architecturally and aesthetically speaking. Lots of cool things to look at in the lobby and the room, though small, was well done. The staff here were top-notch and so helpful, always friendly -- from the basement "speakeasy" to the lobby to the rooftop restaurant. The room is tiny, make no mistake. You'll barely have room for your luggage. There's no fridge in the room, but they made one available upon our request. Our view from the 7th floor was just the neighboring rooftop full of air conditioners. Speaking of air conditioners, those things are noisy. If your room's windows were open, be prepared for the constant hum of those neighboring ACs. The same is true at the rooftop restaurant -- they were distractingly loud. Quite a few times, the hallway on our floor smelled of pot but our room was fine. The smell was definitely from a neighboring room, as we had our windows open the entire time. The $25 "destination fee" was a surprise and quite annoying. It's a hotel fee that you must pay, but in exchange you get a $25 use-it-or-lose-it daily credit at any of the hotel's three restaurants. And if you're staying two days, you cannot combine them into one $50 credit. We ate twice from the little cafe by the lobby which had amazing parfait and croissants (at about $9 each). We visited the "speakeasy" in the basement which deserves a prize in ambiance; it was absolutely cool. We also went to the rooftop restaurant twice -- once just to look around and peer out at the city (pretty neat) and again to eat dinner. The plant-based polenta bolognaise was incredible. Across the street is a 7-Eleven -- perfect for a soda or snack. There's a Starbucks and a Ralph's grocery store within a block. Major destinations like The Broad, MOCA, the Peacock Theatre, Regal cinema, the DTLA Public Library, and the incredible food market were all within an easy 30-minute walk.

While I didn't actually stay here, I had a reservation here because I needed a nice feeling place in DTLA, I had to cancel one week before because changed work plans. I had originally booked through hotels.com and I initiated a cancel on their site and for some reason it didnt complete and I was charged a no-show fee by the hotel, in accordance with their cancellation policy. I tried contacting hotel management and the manager Ken was out on vacation, but when he got back, he responded to my voicemail and helped me with a cancellation. The manager was super nice and reasonable and I appreciate the empathy he shared w/ me for a mistake that hotels.com seem not to process. There was no blame to be had and outcomes were mutual. I will choose to stay here in the future!

We just spent the night here to celebrate my birthday and it was...okay. The rooms are very small and feel a little bit like you're staying in a concrete hostel, but at least it was clean. We didn't experience too much trouble with noise but were off of Flower street and very high up (10th floor), so I think that helped. The room did occasionally smell like weed though, like it might have been wafting up from the alley below? Hallways are clean but dark and dingy and small. The one thing that peeved me the most about this hotel though? Their $25 daily "credit" on food and drink. THIS IS A LIE. It is not a credit - it is a charge that is non-refundable and must be used all at once (no spending $10 here and $15 there). I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and have never heard of this before (when I inquired about it to the front desk, she assured me many hotels do this and I was like, no...they don't). It is honestly to force you to spend money at their sub-par restaurants and cafe. Also there is no parking except at a dirty lot a few steps down from the hotel. The truth about DTLA is that it's just not that appealing - it's dirty, sketchy from street to street and loud. So keep that in mind when you stay anywhere here!

My girlfriend and I booked this last last min for a roadtrip to LA. Didn't have time for much research and this stood out due to the good price, rooftop & location. Great customer service! We arrived at 3am and were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Room was on the smaller side and faced a breezeway with ventilation units l, but we paid for the cheapest option so not much expected. Location is great when it comes to proximity to freeways, event centers, food. However it appears to not be far from a grittier part of town. No parking on site but the public garage next door was only $20/night, guard on site. Rooftop bar/restaurant is the highlight of this hotel! Great ambience, views are amazing. food is a 6/10. Drinks 7/10. Cleanliness is a deal breaker for me no matter the other elements and while this was great for the most part, I was disappointed with the level of cleanliness in the bathroom. Small urine stain on the toilet seat and our sheets were sort of dingy. Hotel is not bad for a last min/cheap option. I would def come back for the rooftop vibes, can't say I would absolutely book again.

There is convenient parking next door. But you have to take a urine and graffiti covered elevator to get to the ground level. There is security, but they seem more to be there to collect payments. The check in was easy and friendly. We were planning to walk to crypto from here and asked if it was safety. We were told that we were safe on game days and not on other days. Also warned to stick with the crowds and keep moving. The room was small and similar to Moxy rooms that feel like dorms. There is not in-room coffee maker. But there is room service. There are some drawers on my bed frame which seemed odd for a hotel. One drawer was broken and hanging out. The view from my room was of the old room next door. It did fee fairly clean though. We checked out the rooftop bar after the game. It had a nice view, great bartender and the best atmosphere of the hotel. I had a latte and avocado toast the next morning. I wanted to order it ahead for room service. But, you can't order until 7am when the kitchen is open. I ordered at the coffee bar in the lobby. The service again was friendly and the food/coffee was good. For the affordable price this hotel it worked out fine.

Dreadful experience. Maybe this hotel is simply just too cool. Base of bed mattress was 5 inches above floor, top of mattress below height of knees and loud trash collection awoke us either at 8 AM or 4 AM. The establishment could dramatically increase their revenue by stationing a chiropractor in their lobby. Darkened room w/o sunlight, but did have filthy windows. Closet is nonexistent But did have wooded hooks. The destination fee of $25/ night can be applied to lobby restaurant. Issue is if one has an early morning flight, the restaurant is closed. Therefore be prepared to forfeit the $25. TV was installed not opposite bed but on a side wall whice required craning one's neck if in bed and watching TV. Lastly, since the bathroom lights be prepared for darkness which is not pleasant especially when showering. Must include the positives: the location and the restaurant's smoked salmon bagel (with cream cheese, cucumber, capers and tomato on an everything bagel) was not only a healthy portion ($15.) but also delish. Definitely not a hotel for families but might be fine for one night----if you are able to experience uninterrupted sleep.

Wonderful pet friendly hotel right in downtown LA! Great rooftop bar with a stunning view and a cute speak easy in the basement. Parking garage right next door, super convenient! Loved my stay here!!!

I will give this place 1 star, because no stars is not an option. I came here for a birthday brunch a on a Sunday. We had reservations at 12, we checked in and wasn't really told why we weren't seated. I just assumed it was because one of our parties were running late. When I finally checked in at the hostess table, one gave me a definite answer, just that we had to wait for our table. When we finally got seated, we were at one of the few tables without an umbrella. We sat in the heat for at least 10 mins, never to be greeted by a server or offered water. I finally went up to the hostess and asked if we could be moved to an open table with an umbrella, since no one had come to take our order. A woman who introduced herself as the Manager told me we have to wait for another 20 mins for an open table because of reservations. When I let her know that it was at least an hour past our 12pm reservations, she was non apologetic and said, yes so wait another 20 mins. She then came over to our table and said in the most condescending way, " Now I NEED you guys to understand I will only move you once and that the wind will rotate to where you want to be moved." My friends were just miserable and just agreed to stay if we can at least get some ice water. Our waiter finally came over and greeted us with, "omg I am so busy today!" This is NOT what you say to a table that's suffering and melting. Was that our apology? The water finally came, we tried to order as quickly as possible. The food was fine, the butter for the waffles tasted like garlic. Our server barely came to check on us throughout, we had to ask several times for things we ordered. The only time our server even tried to redeem himself was, when he brought us our check. He says, "Wow I wish I would have spent more time with you guys, you seem like a fun bunch," and then told us the cake we put candles into was not allowed. Which, is fine, but maybe they should have told that when they saw us with the cake? To our server Alex, I'm sure you're upset for getting a 5% tip, please know we were not trying to be assholes, but tips have to be earned. If I had it my way, I would have left you with nothing. This was by far thee worst service I've received in LA, California, USA, the entire world! We went to West Hollywood at night and had great service, and tipped him well. I'm in the service industry too, and I would never treat clients like this, not even if they were unreasonable. I cannot recommend this place for anyone, and there are too many amazing places with great service in LA I would rather be supporting. The busboys and servers were nice, but service in general was nonexistent and it trickles down from poor management.

We got a suite for a short getaway. The location is at downtown la but not the best area in downtown. The hotel itself is modern, new and clean. As soon as you walked in it's a big resting area with a small coffee/alcohol bar and the check in desk is small but they were quick. We got a suite and the room is a good size considering most of the hotel rooms in downtown are very small. The amenities and the decors are minimal; if you are looking for a transitional hotel that has a save, a small fridge and a closet; it might not be a place for you. They have hangers and drawers under the bed for your storage. Parking is not adjacent to the hotel itself; you will need to bring your belongings and walk about a few mins to the hotel. It could be a little inconvenient if you have kids. But the overnight parking fees are quite reasonable (50 for 2 nights); some hotels could easily charge more than that. They have a cute rooftop restaurant and the view is nice and place is cozy. We ordered some food to share and it's great to end the night.

hotel is visually appealing but, service is poor. No hot water for showers and staff was not welcoming and seemed put out. A shame because the hotel itself is beautiful. save your money and book somewhere else.

I had a random one-night staycation here with my husband. We weren't really sure what to expect, but we parked in the lot next door. The lot itself is kind of dingy. Don't leave any items in your car overnight. The elevators worked when we arrived, but stopped working when we left. (It's a good thing we only had backpacks with us that we walked with up the stairs.) We we greeted by the friendly Heriberto who was our front desk concierge. I asked if we could used your mobile key to just go straight to our room for convenience, but unfortunately, the elevators in this hotel has trouble reading some mobile device keys. He provided us with physical keys instead. The room is pretty cute and quaint. We had the view of the city, which I loved. The bathroom was clean, which is always a plus. There is a speakeasy type bar in the building, but apparently it's only reserved for events. On the other hand, you can catch a night cap at the rooftop bar which is open until midnight. There also isn't a pool onsite. However, we decided to go up to the rooftop to check out brunch the next day before check-out. The food was delicious, and service was nice!

The most disappointing & expensive experience EVERRRRR! Not worth it...Don't bother... go to Spaghettini's and get something worth your money, time... you'll pay the same but you'll enjoy your experience...our server Ann was great... but food was mediocre at best, & we ordered at the same time & food came out in intervals & it wasn't even busy...just terrible...would not recommend & I won't be back...

I loved most everything about this hotel. The rooftop bar was great, hotel staff were helpful, and there were amazing options for food. Our room (707) was cute as well. The decor was quirky and unique. The only, literally only, bad thing were the windows. Our room had horrible windows that let in every sound from the street, even on the 7th floor. All night, we heard homeless people shouting, loud traffic, sirens, you name it. I'm used to the noises of the city. I live in a big city 6 miles from an airport. The noise that got into our room was intolerable. I wanted to stay and enjoy the late 12pm checkout, but after a night of tossing and turning, didn't get to. So, yeah, get better windows, please!!! This is an amazing hotel...if you have horrible hearing.

This is one of the cuter Hilton hotels in LA. Right in the heart of downtown, The Wayferer is a very welcoming place. Quaint, cute, and chic vibes as soon as you walk into the lobby area. They have a restaurant/coffee shop on the first floor, a speakeasy with live music the basement, and a rooftop bar/restaurant with a nice view. There's also a self serve wine & beer bar at the front. When I stayed here, I received a $25 credit for food & drink which I love. So worth it. The staff was super helpful telling me about what's around the airport and getting me to where I needed to be. I'll be staying here more when I come to visit LA!!

yes, the hipster vibes from the hotel starting from the lobby, the rooftop bar, and the speakeasy in the basement! i stayed last week 8/20/22 and the african american man who worked the late night shift in front desk was super cool!! (really wish i gotten his name.) also having security around made it nice and safe while waiting for ubers/lyft. because well you are in downtown lol. only reason i gave three stars and not higher was because the rooms were tiny. even smaller that the hotels in nyc. also have of the channels werent working, kept glitching. this location is good if you want to be between chinatown and downtown locations.

No hot water in the morning as early as 6:00am. No coffeemaker in any room. Coffee is $6.00, and not available until 6:00am. No closet, just 4 hangers on wall pegboard. No ice machine on any floor. No in room refrigerator. Just giving all a heads up so you are not as disappointed as I was.

Interesting hotel to stay at. Not my favorite for several reasons. The rooms are super small, with the king size bed there is about 2 feet of space in the room surrounding the bed. Small table which isn't good for anything (eating,working). Which is tough because there is literally no place for you clothes. Also, no iron in the room. The bathroom was nice. No great food options either. The hotel has a cool style, but functionality is not great.

Brunch is the Bomb!!!!! The rooftop ambience and scenery in DTLA is everything on a sunny day!!!! So I came here after looking for rooftop brunches on Yelp and made a reservation on Open table. They have a 69.99 Brunch Experience that's like 8 courses. It was totally worth it. Our servers Augustin and Audra were wonderful very funny and kept the plates coming. The first course that bacon wrapped date was FIRE!!!! Sooooooo yummy. I loved the progression of the meal and the cocktails and the Jell-O shot that comes with the experience kept the party Going. The drinks were very artisan and tasty , just the right amount of alcohol. The other courses were pretty good also. The ceviche was fresh and tasty. Then there was beet salad also yummy. Granola was meh! Maybe add a little more honey to balance the tartness of the Greek yogurt. But it was cool still I ate everything. We all Ordered different entrees duck leg confit, steak, and salmon Benedict were delicious. Definitely coming back we had a blast!!!! This place is a hidden gem if you are in DTLA and the weather is good stop by and have a total experience!!!!

Great location of plenty of spots to visit in DTLA. Lobby was super cute and welcoming. Rooms are great, well curated. Have an awesome rooftop restaurant, and an amazing basement speakeasy! Great amenities!

Hi again soooo my best friend and I ended up at the nice rooftop restaurant yesterday for my bday.. we've never been we basically just typed in rooftop hotel in LA and boom we were there and let me say I'm so glad that we did! We walked in the receptionist was very nice guided to the elevator and boom we were there. It was around 11am and it was time for the day drinking to commence ( bday things ha) so that's exactly what we did. We were greeted and seated promptly over looking the DTLA views it was already about 75 degrees out so the heat was just right. We ordered the mango margaritas which came in a really cute tiki like cup with this awesome crushed ice and a beautiful flower accompaniment. We got the BLT and shared it as this was the first stop on our bar hoping journey of the day haaa. It was delicious it had a spicy aioli (because I think I'm a chef I'm going to call it this haa) the bacon was so thick almost like a ham steak idk but it was delicious and plentiful. I ate my whole half even though I pretended to cut it like I was going to eat 1/4... haa it had creamy avocado, tomato and bib lettuce on a crunchy sour dough bread just delightful. I'm greedy but this was A1haa.. Our server was sweet and came back just a few times which was great as we had a lot to talk about. The ambiance in the day time was great so we have no choice but to return at night to see the gorgeous views and to try the lobster roll I saw pass by my table after I already ordered that delicious blt haaaa Such a vibe! I do recommend...

I wanted to give an outstanding rating for the hotel but did have some issues, thus a lower rating. The aesthetic is adding some points for sure. I stayed at the Moxy in San Diego (same company I believe) and my hopes were high for the Wayfarer. The Moxy wins by far. The vibes at this hotel were cool, but the Moxy blows it out of the water. The Wayfarer is in a really seedy area of LA. I was awake all night due to ruckus from the homeless outside. The rooms were not noise proof at all. I would have thought the concrete walls would provide a sound barrier, but I could easily hear our neighbors. The Social Club was nice and hip. The lattes and breakfast were really yummy. The staff was friendly. The downstairs floor was heavily trafficked and could use some cleaning. One bummer was the Chromecast on the TV wouldn't work and staff was not sure how to fix. There were very few channels. I really liked how the Moxy had an option to log into Netflix. I really thought this location was going to be more similar.

We decided to go to another rooftop after having a very nice dinner downtown Los Angeles and stumbled upon this place. The service was excellent. Our server was full of personality and made our experience there even better. We ordered appetizers, the pork belly and brussels sprouts and it was off the chain, meaning it was really good lol. We were sat by the window and had a very nice view of downtown especially at night. The fireplace was beautiful and kept us warm m, but when I got a little chilly they even offered me a blanket and I've never had this done at any rooftop restaurant before so kudos to them. The drinks were spot on and it was a nice end to our evening out.

I stay here every time I come into town. Love that they have bunk beds for if we take a girls trip, or a king room if I take a solo trip. I also came home at midnight and the AC was broken in my room, and they insisted I move rooms. It was hella nice, I'll definitely keep coming back.

Who doesn't love an amazing rooftop with gorgeous views and delicious food?! We met some friends who were in from out of town and so glad we came here! I'd never been before but loved every second of it! The patio was comfortably spaced and tables / aesthetic was super nice. We got a large assortment of food, most to share! The burger, hummus, charcuterie board, street corn, chorizo quesadilla, beignets (a must!!!) and Lamb chops. Wow. Wow. And wow!!! We ate (almost) everything! The lamb was so tender and everything was fresh and cooked to perfection! Our server Ceecee was also so lovely, she was very sweet and helpful:) Will be back!!

False advertising. Don't be deceived by their website photos and information about the lounge bar Lily Rose, you DO NOT have access to it as a guest. It was the only reason my wife and I booked this hotel, only to find out that it is closed indefinitely for private events. We still got charged a "destination fee" upon checkout however. I will say that the lobby breakfast food and coffee was delicious though.

I recently stayed here for three nights and there are so many great aspects of this hotel. It's pretty inside. There's a library, really. And books hanging from the ceiling, for aesthetics, but I think it's a terrible waste. In the same area is all types of comfy seating. Mid-century modern style. And there is a beer dispenser wall, which is especially useful for the free nightly drink vouchers. My room was beautiful. The only annoyances were the finicky motion-sensor lights and the no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The bathroom also closed with a barnyard style door which is terrible for buffering sound. Speaking of sound, this hotel is in downtown LA so anticipate the obvious -- street noise. But also, there's a rooftop lounge and a basement lounge. It can get pretty noisy. The rooftop is perfect for photos and flexing. The basement lounge has the best fish tacos. There's a DJ one night and a live band another. It's nice having entertainment options in the building. However, the hotel is in walking distance from a lot of great places. I was given boxed water daily, and also vouchers for $10 off breakfast there. The loaded tots were omg delicious. Everything I ate here was great, the staff was really amazing, and so was my stay.

Pros: Staff is very nice Hotel is clean Water in the lobby has fruit and cucumbers in it and that tastes pretty good. Pretty cool vibe the Alamo Drafthouse is one block over Cons: Not the safest feeling location in the world. They surprise you with a daily $25 fee for "amenities" that you are forced to use on their breakfast bar or beer. Probably would have spent it on breakfast stuff anyway it's just pretty slimy that they force you to ahead of time. No mini fridge No ice machine No microwave No safe Even on the 11th floor the street noise is very loud in the room. I live in NYC and I still had to sleep with ear plugs. There is no door on the bathroom, just a sliding mirror that doesn't close flush, just kind of stands in front of the open space, and there is no fan in the bathroom. What i'm getting at is that every single sound in the bathroom can be heard crystal clear in the hotel room, if you get my drift. If you are staying with a friend or partner, I hope that you are very comfortable with the sound of each other's bodily functions.

Did not stay at hotel but had dineL.A. on the roof. Wow, very impressive. We ordered 1st course ahi tartar, beet salad, 2nd course burger & steak, 3rd course brownie & fruity flake dessert. Across the board everything was exceptional. We honestly have not had such thorough quality AND quantity from any dineL.A. experience. The portions of each course were full, not miniature like many other restaurants. The views are fantastic, servers knowledgeable, and areas are covid enforced. Witnessed a few people - 2 in lobby, 1 on roof, being asked to fix their masks which we thought was great to see. Tight, top shelf operation here. Will return.

Tested out the dineLa meal as their menu sounded yummy for $65. But to be honest it's a bougie Los Angeles rooftop so our meal cost as much as our food. LOL. But the drinks were good. Just loaded with ice so that sucked. Appetizer: Brie and he forgot our bread. We had a toddler and lives for the bread! The Brie was all fried so I didn't like that at alll! I got the hamachi crudo with 3 small bites. I hope the regular menu is larger than that. It had a major kick from the jalapeño. Don't know if I liked that since the ratio was so off. Mains: scallops and 10oz steak. I made it a point to ask for more rare and it came out medium. I swear u not! It was so bad!!! Just don't get it! The scallops were great too but the portions were small so I just hope if u come for a regular dinner the portions sizes are not the same. Our waiter was nice but forgetful. He would come back and ask what drink did we order again ?what dessert?? Dessert: everyone raved about the beignets. It was so fried beyond belief it was actually gross. The brownie was a regular store bought brownie. All can pass. I'd maybe come back for drinks. The view is not even that nice. Look up and u see the buildings. But look down it's a parking lot and construction. Drinks: old fashion, turtle bay, some cucumber one that was refreshing, and another one we couldn't remember. Not particularly strong. My daughter loved the little pool with a big duck at the edge of the hotel. The pool seemed pointless but maybe they host a "dip your feet in the pool party" in the summer.

Delightful hotel. Needed help with room television and security with engineer figured it out. The hotel employees were great. Delicious breakfast and lunch at Gaslighter Social Club in the lobby. The Lily Rose in basement hosts delight afternoon tea but at 7:00 the venue turns into a fun speakeasy with Great bartenders! Only negative is the room size. I felt safe inside the hotel. Would walk after dark with friends

Alright, this is how it's going to go! I most definitely have to give a shout out to the lovely staff here. Lay, Christopher, and Ahmad were very helpful during our dinner here. They greeted our party as if we were part of their family and they were able to accommodate our guests the best they could. We were here for my best friends birthday and upon of our arrival, seating was not available due to other parties still taking their time at their table. Shortly after, they were able to seat us and we were able to order immediately. We had a party of 15 and they were able to fulfill everyone's wants and needs. Well, for the drinks I must say lol. The food selection was limited, however, it was still delicious and worth the amount we paid. For my appetizer, I ordered the Ahi Tartare; which had cucumber, avocado, jalapeño, cilantro, sesame-soy aioli, sriracha, and crispy wontons. Honestly, this was the best fish I have had in a while. Furthermore, for my main entree, I ordered the NY Steak; this was the best steak I have had in years. The flavor was unbelievable, this delicious meal had sunchoke two ways, cippolini, blistered tomato, balsamic pearls, and black garlic truffle butter. If you are eating here, I highly recommend trying these dishes. In addition, I had two mouth watering Old Fashioned drinks to pair with my meal. Overall, my experience here was amazing. I am actually shocked how this place does not have more reviews. If you are looking for great vibes and food, you have to try this spot! I promise you will not be disappointed. Thank you :)!
